Well, we all met Avery and Brody in Inked: The Novella and that shit was scorching with off-the-wall sex. I mean damn near gave me an orgasm just reading a few words. So, now we're back to find out what exactly happened to them after their weekend together. Little do we all know that it's 5 years later.
Avery just happens to run into Brody at a coffee shop and as you wish they would say "the rest is history", but nope not gonna happen. Since their weekend of lust Brody has moved on and gotten married and Avery is going back to school to finish up her degree.
Avery has been keeping a secret that not even I would of seen coming, but I was so pissed at her for it. Brody is devastated and for good reason. he's been in love with her forever and she kind of acts like she doesn't care which all the more reason to slap her. Good for us Brody fans that 1. he's getting a divorce and 2. he's not giving Avery up this time.
We learn what happened for Brody to move on and what happened for Avery to not give him a chance. they still have the sex scenes that make you want to cry, but it goes so much deeper than that this time around. I found Avery extremely selfish through most of the book. But, when all was said and done Brody was always there to make me feel better.
4.5 STARS!!! I cannot wait to get my hands on the next two books, YES I said it NEXT TWO BOOKS has been confirmed by the Author. Everly took a novella and gave her fans (ME :-)) what we asked for!!!

I don't know why there was a first book before this one. I mean this should have been the ONE. I loved and hate it. I don't know how to really describe but know that Brody was the bestest gentleman I know. He may be toughed up in the book but he was totally a lovable guy. As for Avery she pissed the hell out of me. The only thing that I really didn't get was she can give it up but cannot even for the life of me tell Brody about Parker.
I tried to figure out what the secret was all about for Avery (dragged abit) and it got annoying. Brody was true to himself (really hmm) but yeah with a psycho soon-to-be-ex-wife (that needs a punch to the face) hehe I will totally laugh and whoop for joy when she gets that paternity test and knowing the true (that's right B if he don't want you, figure it out)!!

After reading Everly Drummond's short, "Inked", I couldn't help but think ~ there HAS to be more for Avery and Brody and WOW! is there!!
It's been five years since that one weekend when Brody and Avery met and shared their passion, and now their paths cross again. Their passion still burns bright, and their feelings of love for each other appear to be strong, yet there is so much they don't know about each other and are hesitant to share. Will they get past all that they hold back? Let's hope.
When Everly announced she was working on "Inked: The Novel", I anxiously awaited it's release and she has not disappointed.
The characters attached themselves to me as the reader and took me on quite an emotional ride. I will admit though, I didn't anticipate how I would feel as I read the last sentences . . . No, NO, Avery, don't do it! What ARE you thinking?!
The wait for "Inked: The Novel" has been very worth it and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Everly has much more in store for Avery and Brody, as well as readers, because she's definitely left me wanting MUCH more.

This book is really good. It not only has the original short story in the beginning but it also expands on what has happened in their lives since we last saw them. My problem with this is the ending I want after all this time them to have a HEA and it is just left very open. I am a big fan of all of Everly Drummond's work and was really hoping that this would be complete. Even with saying that I would tell you all to read this. It is an emotional story about how after Avery refused to take Brody's calls he had to move on. The problem is he did not move on to someone better and Avery well she has her own secrets that she is not sure she wants to come out. The dynamic between these two characters is just electric and you root for them the whole book through. I would recommend this book and will be watching to see what this author does with this book. I am hoping after all this time we get a swift HEA for these characters but if the next story is the same I will be drawn in anyway.

First of this was a great story very captivating and the characters are really likeable, easy to follow and the pages turn by themselves.
However its a CLIFFHANGER and I wished Id known before hand. I would have waited.
I do recommend you read Inked the prequel to get a nice Hot little introduction to the couple. Plus it gives you a taste of the writers style and the overall story.
This does not ruin the story though just wished there was more.....and I hear there will be two more installments YAY!!
Okay this had a great story line I read this within a couple of days just couldnt put it down.
Brody is hot and there is definately more to him than meets the eye. He is not your typical hero either, I really liked that.
Avery was an interesting character, but I did feel like shaking her a few times.
I will be continuing with this series I feel there is a lot more to be told but I will however wait for the rest of the series before I carry on.

I won an advanced copy of Inked: The Novel from Everly Drummond and I wanted to give a this book a review. I'm not much of a writer so here goes....
Brody and Avery met while he was giving her a tattoo. The attraction between them led to one amazing weekend together. Flash forward five years later and there is a lot of unresolved issue between them both. That being said, I couldn't put this book down. We all know what it's like to get our hearts broken by the one we love so this book tugged at my heartstrings a lot. And let me tell you, I am completely in love with Brody! Avery just got on my nerves. For me it was a struggle to try and like her. Overall I think the plot was good. I give this book 4.5.. LOVED this book. The one issues I had was there were a few edit errors. Definitely worth the read

4.5 stars I thoroughly enjoyed Inked (the freebie) and dove right into The Novel. I love this storyline and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c of that damn cliffie. I feel like after everything Avery and Brody have been through they deserve their HEA. This was a quick read, but I immediately became hooked on the characters. Avery is a strong heroine and although she irked me a bit at times with her stubbornness, I really liked her. Brody is amazing and I truly hope these two find themselves together. I haven't been able to find anything about a continuation of their story and it's killing me!!! I must know what happens!!! The author has a way of pulling you into the story and you get to see both Avery and Brody's POV. I really hope we get more of these two...

I truly loved this book after I read the prologue/short story. I was anxious to read the book and Everly did not disappoint!! The short story does a great job of introducing the characters Avery and Brody and off the bat their romantic relationship! The full length novel not only re-acquaints the characters after 5 years but the 180 change of events left me speechless!! I am really anxious to read the second book because the cliff hanger really made me feel for Brody! I can’t wait for the second book to come out and continue to read the twist and turns Everly has created for Avery, Brody and Parker! I would recommend everyone to read this book!! It is hot steamy and a relatable love story!

Amazing, and it couldn't be a better book love it since the short story of Inked and was like "that's it there has to be more to the story of Avery and Brody" and I was very happy when Everly announced that a story was coming up and it didn't disappoint at all, it was nice to see how their lives split and collide back together and with the new characters in the picture I was even more amazing. I was so in the book that I didn't realized it ended until I flip the page and there was nothing more, she really did leave me wanting more to this story I just hope she can speed up the writing so I CAN GET TO BOOK 2. I would recommend this book to anyone!!

I'm rounding up because I really want to deduct points for this having a freaking cliffhanger and apparently another installment and I didn't know that when I started it. Ugh. I swore these types of books off promising myself only to read them when the series was finished. This was a great story though, loved these characters and it was a much better "I had your baby and didn't tell you, hot rich guy" story than most of them!

Often you read a short story and wish that there was more...well that what Inked is. I will admit that Avery's character gets on your nerves a little but overall the book was well written until the end, I wasn't paying attention to the page I was on but if I was I would have realized I was going be left with a cliffhanger. Looking forward to book 2

Omg I just died a little...so totally didn't realize that Inked was gonna end like that...oh Everly please oh please oh please hurry...my heart is hurting for Brody...please don't leave him in limbo for to long!!!! Oh but I so completely loved the book by the way!!!!!

Okay it got 2 stars because seriously, Brody is yummy.
But a cliffhanger ... really??? Was that necessary?
The short story was great. I was hoping that the novel would be a much more encompassing and contained story of Avery and Brody.

DNF. No. No. No. No. This book is not for me at all, I couldn't even get past the sex scene in the prologue. I swear, if Brody's cock grew any more or became any more impossibly hard it would explode - and not in a good way. Cliched, contradictory and just not going there.

I didn't love this one. Avery was way too sweet and the story was a bit slow. The ending was cut short. Best part was the cover.
