Out of Coventry House and into the fire – love, love, love this series
Fast paced and exciting, the fourth book in the Witches of Coventry House series manages to surprise again and again. It’s packed full of intrigue and a fair share of danger as Eden leaves Coventry House travels half way around the world with returning character, Ash. We learn more about him and about Eden as they race through countries. Back home, Sarah is fighting her own battles and doesn’t disappoint. I’m not giving any spoilers away, so I won’t discuss plot any more than to just to say it moves like a train you can’t (and don’t want to) get off.
What I love about this series is that it really takes its time with the character development, even while hooking us in from the first pages. You can really see their progression from Book 1 to now – alone and how they deal with each other. It feels real and is supported by what they have all gone through in the pages of these books. Christina Garner really has a knack for capturing that, and I love it. I can’t wait for the last book to bring it all together.
Shadow (Witches of Coventry House Book 4) ~~ Shadow takes everything Eden’s been through and turns it up a notch. This book dives into power, identity, and the fine line between light and darkness. Eden is forced to confront not just outside threats—but parts of herself she never wanted to face.
There are moments in this book that gave me chills—the kind that come when a character you care about is pushed to their limit. Eden is fierce, flawed, and so real. I loved her even more in this book because of how she handled the pain, fear, and impossible choices thrown her way.
So intense and beautifully written. This series just keeps getting better.
Such intricate and mixed feelings for all these characters. Relationships are formed and they each own their own problems. The threat gets stronger every day.
