David Maratse

There is not a single novel of Christoffer Peterson’s that I have not throughly enjoyed but the stories with David Maratse top the lot. I very much understand how Chris has become so immersed in the character he has created. In a way I am also envious of Chris’s ability to describe Greenland, its people, it’s terrain, weather and the isolation in which many of its inhabitants live. He does this in such a way that each time I read his books I feel as though I understand and this evokes a range of emotion for me which, to my mind, is the mark of a great book and a gifted author.

An Greenland Anothology

Christoffer Petersen is an excellent writer. This is an anthology of short stories set in Greenland about the brave, competent, taciturn Constable David Maratse. These are well plotted stories with vivid three dimensional characters. The vast background of Greenland and its culture are themselves key characters, resulting in stories that are uniquely Greenlandic. Qujanaq, Mr. Petersen!
