Nanny for hire! Package includes taking care of your kid, And making you fall in love... That's practically what Miranda advertised when she walked in. Recommended by my assistant, I had to take her up. With my last nanny walking out on me on same day's notice, She was nothing more than a saving grace. Ever since the split with my crazy, druggy ex-wife, I thought no woman could ever be fit to care for Cole. And now I think I've found a permanent match, for him and me. But my son already loves her... And I think I do too.
Duncan is in desperate need of a nanny when his assistant recommends Miranda. As they spend time together, Duncan realizes Miranda is great with his son and there is chemistry between him and her. Will they find their HEA or will Duncan’s ex cause problems? Fast-paced and steamy with lots of drama. I liked the characters and the story held my interest throughout. A good read.
I had some trouble with this book.. sometimes it was boring.. other times i got tiny annoyed... Miranda and Duncan lord i wanted to smack and shake thrm both.. nanny and boss is overplayed.. what annoyed me was the "we should" "we cant" play everytime they slept together.. and when they finally said yes.. she "quit" as a nanny to be with Duncan but still watched his son... but that didn't last since the ex wife caused problems and made Duncan separate from Miranda since the ex wife is a druggie and wants a court date.. then its tossed out since her lawyer knew they would lose... so what was the point? Just to have them break up and act awkward around another.
Like what judge would grant fully custody to a drugged woman? Idk why he is so worried.. that he broke it off.. :/
Now the kid.. he's 6 and is super well idk moments he acts like a 6 year old other times he doesn't..this story isn't for me i stop and skimmed the rest.

How does she do it? Ms. Scarlet West as well as her latest publication has impressed me all over again. I truly found myself engrossed from cover to cover. This heartbreakingly beautiful storyline will get you right in the heart. For myself, personally, it was Cole that held most me most endeared. The scenario is completely believable and the characters are each so realistically crafted, you feel as if you know them. Following along as Duncan, a wealthy Single Father, cares for his Son, the absolutely adorable Cole, is heartwarming. In a jam and hiring a new Nanny; Miranda, is the best thing Duncan could of ever done. The attraction and chemistry between them is scorching, however, Miranda, herself, steals your breath with her values and pure steel determination for those she loves. Should you adore extremely well designed romance, then flip through the pages of this book. Perfection.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of Claiming The Nanny in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. West.
Each release just gets better and better. Congratulations to you Ms. West, I can not wait for your next riveting and addictive book.
this was... a bit awkward to say the least. the writing in this felt very formal, it wasn’t entirely easy to read. some parts just didn’t flow and overall made this an unenjoyable read. the whole boss and nanny trope seemed a little too over the top and while cole was cute, his character didn’t act the way a six year old should. i mean, he acted wise beyond his years which was good but he barely showed characteristics of a child which i found weird. in general, this literally felt like a technical essay of sorts and as if it was written in the fourteenth century... it just wasn’t it for me lol
This is a first time read author for me. maybe it’s cause when I bought this book I found the synopsis to be a sweet read and it was 99 cents so I thought go ahead and get it then waited a week to read but this book seemed like maybe it was a first book for her. I seen she has others but I didn’t go in depth to find out which was first. There were a lot of mistakes such as days not matching times not matching. The overall use of cole’s excitement words was annoying. The kid is six then seven was there a birthday I missed? Not to mention what parent calls their kid son or daughter so much? I mean you gave them a name use it. Or even a nickname. But every time dad came home or just having a conversation it’s son this son that. The writing seems very childish and immature. It has potential though maybe polish it up. get some beta readers or a proofreader. I am in know way trying to discourage this Author as she is doing something I wish I could do. That takes courage, guts, time, and so many more traits. I will read her other works.
This is a quick love story about Duncan a single dad of a precious little boy, Cole and his new nanny Miranda. Duncan is divorced and his ex wife is unstable so Cole very rarely sees her. With the troubles from the past Cole has a hard time with new people so Duncan is very protective of Cole. Miranda is putting herself through nursing school and helps take care of her father. With the need for a job she can work around her classes she ends up being asked to nanny and the pay is very well. These two are attracted to one another from their 1st meeting and fight it until their feelings make it impossible. There are raw feelings as their journey unfolds and some are good and others not so good. Cole is one very smart young boy and he helps Miranda and Duncan see what they are missing! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I don’t know which character I liked the most in Scarlet West’s Claiming the Nanny. Miranda, the heroine here, a bit lost at first but a shining spirit of happiness (and great cooking), Duncan, the heart-throb almost (but not quite as nobody really can be) perfect guy and loving single dad, or Cole, his super-bright, overly mature yet appropriately childish (yes, that apparently can be pulled off) wonderful son. They are so well done that they’d make the book worthwhile even without a good plot, but don’t worry the plot is actually better than merely good, extremely well written and superbly enjoyable. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
This was such a beautiful book. Duncan needs a new nanny for his son Cole. His assistant tells him about her best friend Miranda. When Duncan sees her, he is instantly attracted to her. Miranda is just the woman to watch his son, as long as Cole likes her. She and Cole hit it off, so she is hired. Miranda is a strong and intelligent woman who is also attracted to Cole, but doesn’t think she is good enough for him. They end up worming I to each other’s hearts, but want to be careful with how Cole will react to them being together. These two are perfect for each other and their chemistry is electric. I just loved the connection that Miranda had with Cole. She was so good with him and he was so cute and funny. There is some drama that comes along with having a crazy ex. How much trouble is his ex going to be is the question? I recommend reading this, you can’t go wrong.
Loved this story about Duncan and Miranda Duncan needed a nanny fast as his last one left last minute through Miranda’s friend she got the job nanny for a little boy Cole. Duncan is immediately taken with Miranda and can’t stop thinking about her and her about him. The lines get blurred between being a nanny and a lover to Duncan. Duncan’s ex wife turns up and causes a lot of trouble for them she threatens to take Cole away from him and Duncan turns on Miranda about their relationship and how it shouldn’t of happened leaving Miranda hurt only Cole sees how much his dad misses Miranda and he texts Miranda asking her to come over as his Dad is sad of course Miranda goes back to see Duncan and love is not lost between them . Loved this love story brilliantly written
I really enjoyed this book. Duncan and Miranda were a great couple who from the very beginning are attracted to one another. Neither acts on it for different reasons. Duncan is trying to keep things stable in his son's life and Miranda needs her job. Then there is the crazy ex of Duncan's who appears. Cole, Duncan's son has been through a lot. The last thing Duncan wants is for Cole to become upset. Soon Duncan is wanting to spend more time at home than at the office. He is having trouble keeping away from Miranda. The two of them can no longer deny their feelings for one another. The chemistry between them is steamy. This is a well written book with just a bit of drama thrown in by way of Duncan's ex. I liked the HEA.
Miranda was desperate for a job. Her friend texted her asking for permission to give her phone number to her own boss because Duncan Jones was looking for a nanny. She took two buses and a taxi to get to his home by two-thirty that day. She was impressed by his mansion and rode with him to pick up his son Cole on the other side of town by three-thirty. Cole is an adorable, very grownup, sensitive six-year-old and really adds to the story of the romance between Duncan and Miranda. His mother happens to be the big villain, which makes for tears and admiration for the heroes! I volunteered this review after reading an ARC.
This was a good book with lots and lots of drama. Miranda and Duncan fell in love with each other the first time they met, they just didn't realize it at the time. She was the Nanny for his adorable son Cole. Their chemistry was strong and they tried to fight it because of the employer/employee status. The characters were well-developed and likable. Duncan was a little frustrating at times. Some turmoil from his drug-addicted ex causes some scares. No cliffhanger and a HEA. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review. I don't know why it took them so long to get married.
Susies boss , Duncan, needs a nanny , & her best friend, Miranda, needs a job. A perfect solution for both parties . Then they meet , they know they should resist each other for the sake of Duncan's adorable son, cole , but the heart wants what the heart wants . Through in a troubled ex, which brings out the mama bear in Miranda, & you've got a gorgeous love story
You did it again with another fantastic story. Nina this one we see two people find happiness and l9ve that you can't help but smile. Miranda and Duncan show us that no matter what life throws at you, you can always make it work. They prove that with all the love they have and it shows with the people around them. I am so glad that I was able to read this book. So good. I give it 4.5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.
This is a sweet and emotionel story that made me laugh and cry. The mix of sadness, hot scenes, passion, pain, trust, emotional ups and downs makes it worth the read. The unexpected twists are welcomed. It is a well written, suspenceful romance that pulled me in from the first page and didn't let me go until the end. I highly recommend this book. It is a standalone book with no cliffhangers and a HEA. I voluntairly reviewed an ARC of this book.
Delightful! That one word perfectly describes the three main characters and the story itself. Miranda is a delightful character filling the hole in Cole and Duncan’s lives left by their junkie mother and wife. She was recommended by his secretary, who is also her friend. Needing the job for paying for not only her school, but also the medical bills for her disabled father. Looking forward to reading more by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
At first I thought to myself, this book isn't going to be anything other than sex! Of course I I started to read this authors book, it was delish, different in many ways! It was funny, had drama and challenging with dangerous people who wanted to destroy her ex-husband! Can't believe that this story happened between all of them, just unbelievable. You will need to read this book! ENJOY!!! Good job writing this book Scarlet West!
EMOTIONAL Rollercoaster ride! A well written read that takes hold of you and brings on a thunderstorm of heartfelt emotions with great dialogue that continued to keep me turning the pages. Passionate hot chemistry and an amazing ending that I found very satisfying making this a read I would recommend.
This is a wonderful story, it's fast-paced and quick to read, I really liked the characters and the interaction between Duncan and Miranda and especially her interaction with young Cole. There is plenty of romantic steam between them and loads of drama to keep you entertained.
I loved Miranda and Duncan’s story. They had insane chemistry!! And Cole is absolutely adorable! Duncan needed a nanny for his son, Cole. Miranda needed a job and she took the job as Cole’s nanny. Miranda and Duncan had feeling for each other. It has a great story plot and steamy scenes. A must read! I volunteered to review a copy of this book for an honest review.
When Miranda's best friend hears her Boss needs a Nanny, she recommends, her friend. Miranda has dreams, she wants to be a Nurse more than anything, but so many roadblocks are in her way. No Job, no money, her Dad is not well, but she's determined. So when Duncan calls her and sts up an appointment to Nanny for him, she's all in! I loved this story Scarlet get's better with every book!
Miranda needs a job and money to continue supporting herself and her disabled father. Duncan needs someone to look after his six-year-old son after school. Miranda falls in love with young Cole. He is adorable and so is his very handsome father. But what about Duncan's drug addict ex-wife. What problems is she going to cause?
I had a hard time "getting into" this one but once I did it was a very enjoyable read. It was well written with a good story-line. Duncan and Miranda were both very believable characters. Yet, it was Cole that I fell in love with.
*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
Sadly not one of my favourite reads. Storyline was good but that's about all this book did for me. Liked Duncan and Miranda and thought Cole was adorable but that's all that this book did for me sorry. I have not read any others from this Author not sure if I'd bother with anymore.
Scarlet West wrote a good storyline. It's about two people from different worlds, who discover an attraction so strong despite their differences. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a good read over age 18 due to steaminess. I received this ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I have freely written here.
I absolutely love the story line and the characters. My 4 🌟 rating is because of the grammar and typos all through out the book. The story was great enough that I was able to read my way through it, but that begs to question.... Is it the author or the editor???
Duncan seems to be a bit of a lech right from the get go. Miranda and Duncan have an insta lust with fantasies right from the beginning. Duncan let Lucille have way too much power for too long! Kinda wimpy!! Both main characters were bland imo.
