I'm not Wiccan, but I like to be informed on other magickal practices. While this is probably a suitable source of information pertaining to actual Wiccan beliefs, it's filled with bigotry aimed towards non-Wiccan practices and individuals, which reinforces the belief that many Wiccan dogmas are deeply rooted from toxic positivity and holier-than-thou approaches...however, I'll refrain from getting into that. Without the bigotry I'd say this is a 3-star read, if we're solely considering the overview of Wicca.

"People who are not Wiccan or do not follow the Wiccan Rede are concerned with control, power, and domination of the earth. They don’t think about living things and they don’t care to. They want money and materialistic things to make themselves happy and feel good."
"When finding a coven or other witches like yourself, you must use caution. Just like any group or set of people, there are good and bad, in this case, light witches and dark witches. Some use white magic while others use dark magick and will know that you are a newbie. They may act nice and become your friend, but they intend to use you and steal your power to become stronger themselves."
"During your search, it is not just a good thing to watch out for the “bad” covens (non-Wiccan practitioners)..."

Wiccans and other Witches really do need to inform themselves on Grey Magick and maybe look into the philosophy of the karmic web while they're at it, instead of demonizing Witches of other faiths and practices.

Interesting information but needs better editing

While I found the book understandable, the text has a lot of grammatical errors in later chapters. As a result, some parts of the book are confusing and difficult to interpret. It almost feels rushed in the later chapters. This text definitely needed a better editor.

It is more than a leaflet or a brochure of many pages than a book. It is suitable for the absolute beginner who knows nothing about Witchcraft and wants to see some very general things about Wicca. Well written from a very broad and general view, but it should be analytical, specific to some things like theology, tools, spells, rituals, ancient cults, History etc.

book was a good overview, but would appreciate a more thorough editing. toward the end, some things really didn’t make sense & was difficult to follow. for someone who is interested in the religion & those after me, i would love to sit down & edit this book cover to cover. overall would recommend for an absolute beginner.

Discovery of a new view of life

If you are searching for a truer form of meaning of life, such as how things tie together and why your chosen path of faith is leaving that odd taste in your mouth, maybe just maybe you have been following others instructions and not what you truly want in life, this book can offer you options you didn’t know are there to help you grow, in a easy to understand book.

This was really informative as someone who doesn't know a lot about Wicca. I think I had some misconceptions about what Wicca is and this helped clarify that in my mind. Also, I thought this book was easy to read and follow along.

Overall, a good intro

I enjoyed learning the basics. I will say, there are a few typos. Other than that, I loved it!

Thank you ❤️

Filled with tons of spelling and grammar errors, not much information that is helpful, and it’s bigoted towards anyone who practices anything other than “light magick”. Do not recommend.

insightful

Really appreciated the explanations revolving others perspectives throughout history. As well as what Wicca is and where it originated from.

Lots of great information. I'm unfortunately an editing witch. Lol There are quit a few grammatical errors. Besides that a really great book.

For me this book is about uncovering a present predominant Christian belief country…and looking into spirituality vs a system that preaches damnation, and is rooted in punishment, and slavery.

If you are interested in a positive mindset, and a more natural way to self soothe and heal, but don’t identify as a witch, and don’t practice dark magic, or spells this is a good book and covers the history of witches in America and Europe and the good they have spread.

Could have had a better structure, as some of the basic terms were explained right at the end for example. While I feel that I did learn something, I do not believe I learned what I wanted to, like a detailed history or quotes from the original wicca book(s) etc. Too general even for "beginners" who do not even wish to practice the religion or "magick".
