“Parker was the type of guy who should grow old with the woman he loved, spoiling lots of children and grandchildren. Something Shelby could never give him.”
This was an enjoyable adult erotic story, with some BDSM elements.
I liked how assertive Parker was in this story, and I liked the way he looked after Shelby, especially once he found out what was going on with her. It was really sad for Shelby that she was suffering the way she was, and I was glad when Parker offered to care for her.
The storyline in this followed Shelby and Parker as he supported her through her illness, and showed how they grew to love each other after some initial sparks. There were some sex scenes which were pretty hot, with some light BDSM elements (nothing too kinky though!).
The ending to this was very much a ‘happily ever after’ sort of ending, although with this only being a novella, it came pretty quick!

When I first read His Angel (Ian and Angie's story) the interaction between Master Parker and Shelby really interested me and I wanted to see more of them. And I am glad to say that Not Negotiable completely lived up to what I had hoped.
This is a beautifully written story showing the developing relationship between Parker and Shelby whilst navigating the heartbreaking reality of going through cancer treatment. I really enjoyed the way that the author showed the way that Parker loved and cared for Shelby through it whilst still making Shelby strong, determined and kick ass. It was lovely to see her story progress as she realised that she didn't have to face it alone.
There are some BDSM elements to this read, come on they meet because they were members of the same club, but it is not heavy in this instalment due to Shelby's treatment but they still manage to have a little bit of play.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and was completely satisfied with these twos story. 4 stars

If you aren’t reading the Trident Security series than I have no time for you! The release of this beautifully written novella; Not Negotiable is no exception. Do NOT skip this book. Anyone who has been that warrior, that survivor will understand. Anyone who has been forced on the sidelines while watching a loved one suffer will understand. If you are fortunate enough that you haven’t experienced either then you are blessed beyond words. In my opinion this is the story of the worst pain possible from both points; the one who is fighting, battling the pain and the one who loves that warrior more than their own life while witnessing the suffering unable to take it away. Cancer survivors and angels are a family. We stick together whether or earth or in heaven through the worst and the best; the joys and our hearts being shattered beyond repair. This is more than a novella; this is a small glimpse into a time when a few simple yet horrific words will change your life forever.
Shelby Whitman slammed cancer back to hell before. She won. She owned that bitch disease but the damage was done. Unable to have children she feels less of a woman and undeserving of love much less being someone’s wife. The Covenant has given Shelby some sort of solace as she can keep everyone at arms length not getting close to anyone. Playing in the club took her away from what she considered her shortcomings for a bit, taking her away from the loneliness. If she was a deserving woman she would have allowed Master Parker to have her maybe even be his one and only but she could never do that to him. A man so pure, so caring, deserved a complete woman; not a woman like her. Shelby didn’t consider herself worthy of someone like him. She had said no to him numerous times and that’s how it had to stay especially now that her cancer was back. Shelby would win her fight again but at what cost. There was nothing else for the cancer to take other than her life. She wouldn’t be a burden to her family or her friends. Shelby would do this alone.
Parker Christiansen wonders why this spectacular woman wants nothing to do with him. The “incident” with his brother occurred months ago but even prior Shelby refused to play together. Its been two weeks since she has been at The Covenant and he has to know if its because of him. Heading to her apartment, Parker has no idea what he is about to witness. He has no idea that his heart is about to get ripped from his chest by a few brutal words.
As always I wont divulge the details. But I do have to mention a Bullmastiff, who is a rescue, named Spanky. It seems Parker found him through a wonderful lady named Tori and her Bullmastiff rescue. (LOVE it and LOVE following her page. Big shout out from one rescuer to another.) I hope that Beau and Spanky will have their own POV books one day. Wouldn’t you love to know their thoughts on the Sexy Six Pack and friends? In seriousness in truth in the devotion that Spanky instantly develops towards Shelby is exactly what happens with a four legged family member. They protect you with their life making sure you receive unconditional love. Just make sure you deserve that love and return it.
There is so much joy and heartbreak in this book. Cancer survivors become our inspiration. They become soldiers who we strive to mimic, wishing for their strength and fighting spirit. Cancer is not a dirty word but it’s a word we must learn to stand up to. Those who win need to know they are still worthy of a full life, love, children, a future. Its our responsibility to remind them every day that THEY are heroes. The souls who cant fight anymore and know its time to say goodbye allow us to exchange a piece of ourselves with them. They live within us, carrying on their determination of a better tomorrow for the next person who will hear those unexpected life changing words.
Thank you Samantha for writing this book .. for every part of it. Its worth so much more than a star rating … Oh and readers .. make sure you pay attention to Carter. Being who he is ... its one of the greatest lines written in the Trident series thus far.

Submissive Shelby Whitman has already survived cancer once, though the resulting infertility has left her unsure of herself when it comes to long term relationships. However, when she gets cancer again, she tries to go it alone, until her friend, Dom Parker Christiansen, pushes his way into her life, determined to help her.
This is a shorter book, and through most of it Shelby is going through cancer treatment, so this book is necessarily lighter on the smoking hot sex scenes that Samantha Cole does so well. But more than anything what it has is heart. Between the growing love between Parker and Shelby, to the love that Shelby's friends have for her, this book is emotionally traumatic, but in a good way. The scene where actually made me cry. Plus, it's just a wonderful romance.

Great story! This is the next story in the Trident Series. This is a quick and easy read. Master Parker is an Dom at The Covenant. Shelby is an sub at the club. Master Parker always wanted Shelby. Shelby had beat cancer in the past. And now there's a chance that's its back. When Master Parker finds out was happening in Shelby's life. It's not negotiable when Master Parker wants to take care of Shelby. You to have to read this story to find out what happens between Shelby and Master Parker. You won't be disappointed in this story. Keep up the great work!!

Master Parker, Master Parker and Master Parker again! Actually, Master Parker in infinity! Give me that hot piece of man and Dom every day and I would be a happy happy woman! Only good things I have to say about this book! But let me find my breath first because I think I lost it somewhere with all this dominance……
Okay, I found it! So, let’s get started!
First, what makes this book a phenomenon is the love story that’s about! Reading Parker – oops sorry! MASTER Parker – and Shelby’s love is one of the greatest things I have read in my bookworm life. It was lovely for me to be a reading witness of that story! It’s irresistible and you can’t walk away from it!
And, how can you really do that when you come face to face with the amazing natural instincts of Parker to protect, take care and fiercely love Shelby? Not possible. Or better Not Negotiable , as Parker would say. Just like it was for him when she needed him the most, even if she didn’t know it.
So, Master Parker as a born Dom, he took charge of the situation without leaving any space for disagreement from Shelby. And thank god for that!! These two lovers, started as two members of The Covenant – the BDSM club that the sexy Sawyer clan owns, for whoever doesn’t know it -, the one a Dom and the other a submissive, who are secretly in love with each other but never had a chance to show their feelings. Until, a Big C situation forces them to come closer and give them that chance.
At first, Parker – although he wanted other, deeper things from her – only had the intention to take care Shelby and help her beat the cancer that was threatening her life. Because he couldn’t turn his back on the woman that he loved when she was going through that. So, he took completely care of her! But as the time was going by, the nature of their agreement/contract/relationship started to change!
And that’s where the high levels of steaminess and sexy scenes make their appearance. Phew!! Just thinking about it makes me hot and bothered! It was puuurrree joy and pleasure to read these scenes of theirs that they were full of passion, love, worshiping and the crave that a lover has for its other lover’s body. And the chemistry that Shelby and Parks had in – and out – of the bedroom it overwhelmed you in a good way that made you unable to stop reading.
And Samantha knows pretty damn well how to write these kind of scenes and peal layer after layer of this chemistry! You could say she has a degree on it! :) Every single time, in every single book of the Trident Security series, she takes the dominance in another level. But, I think it’s only reasonable since she created that outstanding, hot, unique, six-pack ex NAVY Seals boys who you can’t resist!
As for Shelby, it’s a sweet character and immediately lovable. Also, amazingly courageous and considerate of the others. I was in a total awe of her throughout the whole book and I’m still am. Having to get through cancer twice and this timea lone, it’s not a piece-of-cake kind of thing. I admired her strength and will to maintain her bably shelf and special & energetic personality, independently what she was going through at the same time, just because she didn’t want to upset the others from the club that cared about her and loved her unconditionally. There were many times while I was reading that I came close to tears but I held back.
Cole made her amazing magic spells again and created another great story that worth to be a proud part of the Trident Security family. I really couldn’t ask for a better unfolding for Master Parker and Shelby. Thank you again Samantha for giving us such amazing stories! I can’t wait to read what you have in store for Jake, Brody and Carter! I become a five-year-old girl just imagining it!

This might be the most powerful story in this series so far. I know to expect a little erotica, some bdsm with hot alpha men and strong, determined women in this series but this book completely blew me away with the sweet and tender love story that Shelby and Parker experienced. Shelby uses the covenant to hide behind different personas to keep everyone at arm’s length to keep her secret that her cancer has returned. She has previously fought this demon and it left her unable to have children and it played a serious mind game with her self-worth to the point of denying her feelings for Parker because she felt he deserved more than she could give him. Parker saw Shelby for the good and kind woman that she was and wanted desperately to break through her walls. This is their story about trusting themselves and their hearts and allowing someone else to be strong when they could not. This was a short novella but the story was fulfilling and inspiring. I love the men and women of this series and look forward to each new story it brings.

This is Shelby and Parker's story. They both belong to a BDSM club and are attracted to each other. However Shelby holds Parker at bay and won't interact with him because she has a secret and does not want to share it with him.
True love finally finds a way in and this is a sweet romantic story. The BDSM is just a backdrop and this is not engaged in because Shelby is not up to it.

Success
This goes back to a scene in book 2. Parker wants everything to do with Shelby but she keeps her distance. Shelby has secrets no one in the club knows about. Parker soon finds out part of what Shelby is hiding and the Dom in him comes out. Wonderful addition to the series.

Awwwww such a lovely romantic story. Really enjoyed this and I love Parker and shelby so much it was beautiful 'watching' them together. It pulled at my heart strings in parts and made me grin like a Cheshire cat in others. Loved it!

Sono rimasta un po’ scioccata dalle molte pagine dedicate alla mappa dei personaggi, non usuale in un romance passionale, ma le ho ignorate e ho proseguito nella lettura: vorrei tranquillizzarvi sul fatto che non è necessario conoscere tutta la genealogia completa dei “magnifici sei” per comprendere gli sviluppi della novella.
Parker e Shelby frequentano entrambi il Club BDSM Covenant, ma non hanno mai giocato insieme. Shelby, infatti, si sente menomata a seguito dell’isterectomia dovuta a un tumore alle ovaie di alcuni anni prima, e teme che giocare con Parker sia troppo rischioso per il suo cuore. Crede che questo uomo meraviglioso meriti una compagna e una moglie capace di dargli dei figli (viva il femminismo e viva l’autodeterminazione di un uomo che magari ha altri desideri), e di essere pertanto troppo sbagliata per lui.
Dal canto suo, Parker ignora i motivi per cui Shelby continua a rifiutare le sue proposte, ma coglie al volo un’opportunità che si presenta per riaccompagnarla a casa per fare un ulteriore passo e baciarla.
Nonostante sia stato un segreto per anni, il ricomparire del cancro e un nuovo ciclo di chemioterapia non riescono a passare inosservati al Dominatore, che sia per affetto sia per senso del dovere propone a Shelby(in realtà dice “non è negoziabile”) di poter fare tutto ciò che è in suo potere per prendersi cura di lei. Stipulano quindi un contratto che inizialmente esclude il sesso, ma nel quale si faranno strada sempre più i loro sentimenti, mettendo la ragazza in condizione di aprirsi sulle sue insicurezze e consentendo a Parker di rassicurarla sul suo amore incondizionato nonostante l’infertilità.
A parte la brutta sensazione nel sentire una donna che si senta inadatta a un uomo per il fatto di non poter procreare (per quanto brutto, sono consapevole che possa essere una delle emozioni che una sopravvissuta al cancro possa provare) la storia in sé mi è sembrata un po’ fantasiosa e glitterata. Si passa da una curiosità di “giocare insieme” all’innamoramento e all’amore eterno in un battito di ciglia, ignorando che due persone possono sostenersi in momenti di difficoltà anche solo per affetto, che non dev’essere necessariamente ripagato con riconoscenza a vita; che tra due persone può esserci anche solo una relazione temporanea e occasionale; che in una coppia sarebbe meglio e opportuno conoscersi, notare pregi e difetti dell’altro, prima di capire di amarlo “per sempre”; che talvolta l’amore va conquistato, si cade, si prova, si corteggia, si provano i limiti… insomma: tutto molto facile e finito in fretta.
Si tratta di una lettura piacevole e scorrevole, con toni smorzati che non esagerano la drammaticità di una malattia terribile e che garantiscono già dalla prima riga una relazione romantica e duratura.
Mi sono mancati un po’ di elementi che riconducessero l’esperienza al BDSM, forse per il fatto che Parker è più impegnato a prendersi cura di Shelby che a dominarla; i personaggi, comunque, non trasudano la loro propensione a dominare/sottomettersi, e se non fosse per piccoli riferimenti potremmo parlare di una normale storia romantica con un innamoramento lampo.
Peccato anche per il modo in cui è stato tradotto il finale, che è identico al titolo, e purtroppo non riprende (come invece in lingua originale) la frase clou con la quale Parker riesce a iniziare una relazione con Shelby: “Non Negoziabile”.

Sono rimasta un po’ scioccata dalle molte pagine dedicate alla mappa dei personaggi, non usuale in un romance passionale, ma le ho ignorate e ho proseguito nella lettura: vorrei tranquillizzarvi sul fatto che non è necessario conoscere tutta la genealogia completa dei “magnifici sei” per comprendere gli sviluppi della novella.
Parker e Shelby frequentano entrambi il Club BDSM Covenant, ma non hanno mai giocato insieme. Shelby, infatti, si sente menomata a seguito dell’isterectomia dovuta a un tumore alle ovaie di alcuni anni prima, e teme che giocare con Parker sia troppo rischioso per il suo cuore. Crede che questo uomo meraviglioso meriti una compagna e una moglie capace di dargli dei figli (viva il femminismo e viva l’autodeterminazione di un uomo che magari ha altri desideri), e di essere pertanto troppo sbagliata per lui.
Dal canto suo, Parker ignora i motivi per cui Shelby continua a rifiutare le sue proposte, ma coglie al volo un’opportunità che si presenta per riaccompagnarla a casa per fare un ulteriore passo e baciarla.
Nonostante sia stato un segreto per anni, il ricomparire del cancro e un nuovo ciclo di chemioterapia non riescono a passare inosservati al Dominatore, che sia per affetto sia per senso del dovere propone a Shelby(in realtà dice “non è negoziabile”) di poter fare tutto ciò che è in suo potere per prendersi cura di lei. All I could think when I saw this was Shelby's book was "finally".
Finally a book with a woman who is already in the lifestyle. With the books that proceeded this every woman was new to BDSM, and I wanted at least one man to fall for a woman that already knew what the lifestyle was really about. A woman who lived it.
Too bad Shelby's book isn't full length, even if it was more heartfelt in my opinion.
This story picks up with Parker taking his brother to the club, so we get to experience the events leading up to his brother getting his ass kicked, and Parker being suspended from play for breaking the rules.
Then we get deeper into who Shelby and Parker are, and why make a good match.
There were some eye rolling moments, as I had a hard time believing that they would have done some the things they did due to Shelby's condition, but what do I know?
Overall, I was just glad to get an experienced submissive's story.

This is a little novella, a story about two secondary characters, just tucked in between but this story does what all truly good stories do for me. It made me laugh, cry, squirm a little and just had that feel good ending we all love. We know Master Parker and sub Shelby from the previous books, but we don't KNOW them. I loved how Parker was such a Dom to his core that he had to find out why Shelby was avoiding the club and when he did, WOW, he was taking over. They might have started in just a D/s relationship, some one off at the club, but these two really discovered what a true romance was, especially when it was tested. And boy did they pass the test. Yes, there were stumbles along the way, but what a great HEA.

They were a mix of trident security saving the women the ex seals at trident had fallen for mixed with BDSM as they owned a BDSM club also.
This one was different as the security side wasn’t in this one it was mainly about Shelby and Parker a sub and dom who have always wanted each other but Shelby is in remission from cancer and can’t have children due to this and she knows Parker wants the family life that she can’t give him.
What she didn’t take into account was he loved her more than anything and when she had a relapse he took over her care and together they fell in love and he convinces her they are perfect together.

This book was very dear for me as it touches a subject that i experienced and lived a few years ago... Shelby has Cancer not only for the first time as she is in some kind of remission but she doesn't want to bother anybody, not even her closest friends at The Covenant.. She stays quiet without letting anybody know the terrible cancer has return...
I love the way Parker treats her and takes care of her.. i recommend this book a lot .. don't be afraid to read about the subject, i was afraid at first but Samantha did a great job and wrote everything in a very beautiful sensible way..
I love how can you see the BDSM community is so strong and close and they will never let any of their members to struggle with something like cancer alone... I'm glad Shelby found great people to help her and take care of her on the bad moments and i'm also glad Parker was always with her..

It's no secret that I'm not really into novellas and I read this one because I thought it would add to the overall storyline of this series. I'm still not sure it does.
Both characters have mostly friendship links to the Trident Security group, mostly through the BDSM club.
It was an interesting quick read, but I could have skipped it and didn't miss it, if I'm honest.

I love how each book Samantha Cole writes in this series is about a different couple. This is Shelby and Parker's story. It's a short story. This book is a little different then the others because there is no one coming for either of the main characters, no violence. Even though there isn't really any action happening in that way, it's still a good book.
Parker is an architect builder contractor , has his own company called New Horizons. His father doesn't approve anything he is doing. His brother Dave wants to go to the Covenant (private BDSM club) because he was curious about the lifestyle. Shelby wore different colored wit to match her outfit every time she came to the club because of her thinning hair and being cancer free for 6 years. Parker took him as a guest and Parker stepped away for a few minutes and when he returned Dave slapped Shelby in the face. Parker felt really bad and apologized and took Shelby home. Two weeks went by and he didn't see her at the club, he asked the guys and they said she asked for some time off. Shelby wasn't expecting him , she was expecting her medicine to come so she opened the door. The guy showed up with her medicine and Parker was in shock that Shelby has cancer. This is when Parker became very concerned for Shelby and wanted to help her. He was attracted to Shelby for a long time and she never wanted to play at the club with him. He is determined to find out why she wont play with him.

"Sitting up, he lifted the gold collar embedded with a rainbow of colored gems, I knew as soon as I saw it that it was perfect for you. Actually it will be you who makes the collar beautiful. Will you wear it, Shelby? Will you be my sub for however long we have together? An Awesome Read!
I loved reading Not Negotiable: A Trident Security Series Novella - Book 3.5, all about Shelby Whitman a young women in her late twenties who goes to The Covenant as a submissive and is friends with all the Master Dom's and their significant others & Parker Christiansen who is a Master Dom at the club he's thirty-one years old and owns his own business called New Horizon. Parker is an Archetect/Builder/Contractor in the Tampa area, he originally hails from Boston, where is family is very wealthy, snobby and extremely arrogant! His older brother Dave who is thirty-five came down for a visit during a business trip. He doesn't get along with his brother nor his parents, but his brother insisted that his wive wanted to try out the BDSM lifestyle and since he was visiting Parker he thought he'd like to check out the club he belonged to, to see if it would work with his wife. So Parker brought him as a guest, and while they were in the Pit at the club, Dave smacked Shelby across the face when Parker went to the bathroom! When Parker got back there was a ton of things happening, starting with his brother on the floor threatening a law suite! Shelby sitting on Master Marco's lap crying her eyes out with a very large bruise on the side of her face. Parker first asked that his brother be let up, then he hauled off and punched him in the face, knocking him out. Then he went and checked on Shelby, said he would take her home, he tossed the keys to his truck to Tiny the security guard and asked that his brother be put in the truck. Then he went with the owner of the club Ian Sawyer to his office, where he got a suspension for playing at the club for 24 weeks, and 12 weeks of being a spotting Dom, since he broke the rules and left his brother unattended while he left the room. He's had a thing for Shelby for a long time, and he's hoping taking her home he can get a read on her. Well he took her home, and he brought her into her apartment, he kissed her goodnight and she sent him on his way. Shelby has always liked Parker, but she only ever plays with the single Dom's because they don't expect anything, and she feels Parker is looking for a forever girl to settle down with and have a family. That's something Shelby can't give anybody not even herself. She had ovarian cancer six years ago, and they took everything and on top of that did a complete hysterectomy. Which means she can never have babies, and that's a deal breaker for most men. So instead of trying to have a relationship with Parker, she just stays clear! She has never told anyone about her cancer, because she does not want anybody feeling pity for her, so nobody at the club know's anything. Read this book, because it will make you laugh, cry, sigh, shake your head and cum up a storm! Find out if Parker & Shelby can find a way to be together! I have enjoyed reading the Trident Series and you should read the books in order. I can't wait to read the next three in the series. Samantha Cole has done it again, I don't think I'll eve tire of saying that. Her craft for writing stories that captivate and intrigued is one of the many things I love about her writing. If you have read any of my other reviews for this author you will know I'm a huge fan of this sexy six pack... So I was more than a little excited when this gem popped into my inbox.
"Not negotiable" is book 3.5, a novella in the Trident Security series and although it didn't share the normal gun slinging, violence and security that is the norm in the other books this one was particularly warming and lovey dovey with a little side kick.

But when Shelby is assaulted by Parkers own Brother He feels as though he is responsible. Taking her home and making sure she is OK is top of his list. After 12 weeks of serving his penalties for leaving his brother unattended, that resulted in the assault on her, Parker sets out to track Shelby down... He wants her and he'll stop at nothing to have her.
But when Parker finds out that she has taken personal leave from the club he finds himself at her front door, but what he finds out will change everything.
Shelby has fought cancer and beaten it, but 6 yrs on she is faced with the big C yet again. Not wanting to burden others with her illness she hides away at home on her own. Never in her wildest dreams did she think opening her front door she would be met with a serious and almost angry looking Parker.

Samantha Cole has treated us to a cracking novella set in the Trident Security world. It stars Shelby and Parker who have both appeared as supporting characters in previous books in the series. This book has a slightly different feel that the others, there are no terrorists after our hero or heroine here. Instead we have a beautiful, heartfelt story about love, trust, caring and friendship. And of course it is spiced up with some fabulously kinky sex!
Shelby is a much loved submissive at the BDSM club which is run by the owners of Trident Security. She has made some great friends and had some out of this world orgasms, but she's not looking for a long term relationship. This is why she continues to refuse to play with Parker. He is her dream Dom, but Shelby thinks he deserves a partner who can give him something she can't. But when Parker finds out that Shelby is secretly fighting a second battle with cancer, he refuses to take no for an answer and insists on looking after her during her chemotherapy treatment. Can Shelby beat cancer again? And can Parker convince her that she is the only woman he wants and needs in his life.
This is such a touching, emotional story - yes it had me in tears at times but it also put a huge smile on my face. Parker is a take charge kind of guy, and he really knows how to look after his woman - and he also knows how to make her scream with pleasure. Shelby is such a fighter who likes to put a brave face on things - I would never have guessed what she'd been through in the past. They make a great couple and I really enjoyed their story.
As a dog mad reader I always love the pets that this author creates for her characters, and I think Spanky the rescued bull mastiff is my favourite so far. First of all the name Spanky is awesome, and he had a wonderful nature that showed the true character of this breed. Ok I may be a bit biased as I have a rescued bull mastiff mix myself, but I think Spanky is fabulous and he stole the show! Right I'll stop talking about the dog now!
If you're a fan of romantic BDSM stories I'd definitely recommend that you read this novella. Not Negotiable gets five fabulous stars.

Samantha Cole was able to make an amazing story about such a touchy subject into something so sexy and beautiful. I have never read a story about cancer and a mix of BDSM. Samantha did a fantastic job of creating a story about unconditional love.
Shelby Whitman is a woman who is a part of the BDSM lifestyle. She is strong and is full of so much love that she wants to share with Master Parker, but does not think she would be the best submissive for him because of her past history with cancer. She denies herself happiness and the opportunity at love because of the dreaded illness that has decided to come back for a second time and inhabit her body. Her illness brings down her confidence in being able to find a Dom that will love her and accept her for who she is and the baggage that comes with what she has gone through and is going through.
Master Parker is an alpah male with a huge heart! He has everything a Dom should have plus more! He loves Shelby from a distance and will do anything to get her to be his submissive and give him her attention. He has no idea what is really going on with Shelby but he does everything in his power to find out. He is on a mission to make her his and to show he that no matter what happens in her life through sickness and health he will love her and cherish her through it all.
This story really had an impact on me. Being a cancer survivor I would have done anything to have a man love me through it and to take care of me like a princess. Master Parker is everything I would have wanted while I was going through chemo. He is the epitome of a strong male with an even bigger heart. I loved being able to see the positive side of having cancer and not the death and sadness of it. Samantha Cole did a fabulous job of making cancer shine and not be the negative cloud in the story. Thank you for talking about a subject that people find so sensitive and for adding a sexual loving relationship with it! This book hit me hard and I will remember it forever!

So this time in the set is shelbys and pakers story this time theres no people after one of them its just a story that is very moving and story that brings out love and trust in the couple. We have seen shelby and parker in the other books as friends with the other characters the whole club comes togther to support shelby in her time of need.
Only part I was disappointed in was the bdsm when shelby asked parker to make love to her ..... I know shelby didnt mind and I know these books are about bdsm but seriously I was shocked he got out his bag of toys just to play with before he made love to her I just felt disappointed that that scene included bdsm.
Another top book by Samantha cole im eagerly awaiting the next book.

We had read about these two characters in His Angel, I actually love how Ms Cole drops little hints in her stories as to who we are going to read about next.
I'm glad she gave Parker and Shelby a story as it was a thoroughly entertaining one.
Because Parker isn't part of the elite group of the Trident security sexy six pack boys, the story wasn't as explosive or suspenseful as per the other books, as well as the fact that Shelby is a submissive and established in the lifestyle there were no elements of introducing her into the world of BDSM, however we see sparks of the more passionate kind and the story, as short as it was, gave me the same enjoyment and satisfaction after reading.
Shelby comes across as a firecracker and full of sass personality, but she is holding a secret, one that prevents her from letting herself fall for any of the single Doms in the Covenant club; in particular Master Parker. Parker comes from a rich family but where money was given to him in abundance there was a lack of love as he was growing up. His family knows he's into the lifestyle which resulted in him being outcast and treated with disdain a fact which pushed him to thrive and excel in his business as well as solidifying the fact that he loves the lifestyle and wants desperately to find a sub, not just any sub, Shelby, but she keeps rejecting his attempts at playing together where she is happy to engage in a scene with any of the other Doms.
When an opportunity arises for Parker to be close to Shelby he takes it wholeheartedly regardless of her reservations, this time the fact to stay away is Not Negotiable.

After the incident involving Dave will it bring Parker and Shelby closer together or will they watch from the sidelines as the other moves on with other subs/DOMS? When it is clear that Shelby has a huge battle ahead of her will she open up her heart to accept help or will she close herself off even further?
This was a great novella on a character we have grown to really like in the first few novels! Shelby is a complete sweetheart and I loved getting to know her more in this book. She has a huge heart of gold which is evident in her trying to protect everyone when in fact she could use the help. She hates to be a burden to anyone which explains her actions.
As I read about Parker's family it is pretty understandable why he wants nothing to do with them and I am amazed at the lengths his family went to through the book. It's amazing how money affects certain people.
I loved how this book also had some of Kristen and Devon's wedding! I love how the author constantly brings in our favorite characters and I am loving this series!!
