Synopsis - Six months have passed since Prisha was pushed to death by the person she loved the most, Saveer. But she doesn't believe that it was him till she stumbles upon the first clue to the mystery that Saveer is, which leads her to his twisted past: he is not who he says he is. Forever is True is a riveting thriller exposing the deadly limits that a person can go to because of a ruined childhood.
About The Book - Umm... So yeah, I finally finished the second part of The Forever Series and Kind of really liked the 2nd Book 'Forever is True'. The first book 'Forever is Lie' was a total disappointment for me. So ill not as such recommend this series to anyone as the reader have to go through the First part too. As I said in the review of 'Forever is Lie', that the Author should have merged both the parts in a Single Book but I Suppose the marketing and Business came in between. Alas, this was (Forever is True) is a Good one.
In the first part, After Prisha was pushed by an unknown person over the Cliff, She was found by some tourist and later rescued by the Police when she was hanging from over the Branch just a few feet below the Cliff. She wakes up Dizzy in Hospital Ward where a Nurse who looked like Saveer says her that she was the only one who survived his Lethal Blow and was told to stay away from Saveer. Confused Prisha confessed all about it to Saveer, only to know that he never visited her ward for the whole time. More confused they both together find that someone was behind all the deaths in Saveer's life and was trying to Ruin their relationship now. They both go on a Hunt to discover the Culprit.
With several 'Whos the Culprit?', 'What happens next?' and 'What should we do know?' the story blends in with their romance and Mystery, they finally discover the Truth that they still don't believe in. With the loss of someone dear and Prisha almost losing her life Twice, the story ends with a Shocking revelation.
Verdict - With a waste of Time 1st part, the second one is pretty good, like everything we can expect from Novoneel. Only go for the series if you like to and accept to get disappointed by the first part, but again the 2nd part may cover up for it.
Much better than the first book. I still don't want to recommend this book to anybody for you'll have to go through the first book, which is a waste of time, to read this one! However, I must say this was a nice book. The pace of the story was good, it was intriguing and I had a good time reading it. I do have some issues with the way women are portrayed in the book - To use the word 'breeding' for women having babies, as if women are animals! Am I the only one to be offended by it? Even though Prisha has been shown much more mature than her age, she was insanely jealous of Ishanvi and that felt so out of character. A mature woman getting inexplicably jealous over a dead woman? It was still fun to read the book. I kept flipping the pages and I felt good after finishing the book. I don't want to dive into the ending and how it was, though. Without giving any thought to that, I would just end my review. This book is a good and quick read... but to read this, you have to read the first book which... the more I think of it, the more I feel... it was close to unbearable.
[12.01.21] Updating this. Tweaking it for fun. Apparently reviewing was not my strongest suite back then. _____________________________________________
[Reviews of both books in the duology in one.] _____________________________________________
Saveer Rathod goes by the name 'Mean Monster'. 'Mean' because of his 'edging techniques' in frivolous sexual encounters. And 'monster' because 'what he carries between his legs is two inches more than that of an average Indian's.'
I hope you are sold on that.
Because, it is that kind of a book. I am not even paraphrasing. I wish I was. And I say 'a' book. Because honestly it is one single book, split into two in a poor moneymaking endeavour.
The result lies in a drab soulless effort in the form of 'Forever is a Lie'. Making the first half of this duology incoherent and marred with fillers to pad things up. It is supposed to be a dark romantic thriller revolving around this 'Mean Monster.' The same guy who sleeps with random woman at night and runs a NGO at day for their safety. Guy might be a nymphomaniac by this point. But the takeaway is, he's hurting. He's suffering, our charming sad hero. And that should make us sad.
You see? Whoever he loves dies. Someone or something is hellbent on destroying his life for over a decade. And thus he promptly transforms into this 'dark brooding guy with a definite soft spot.' One might wonder why does he not contact the police? Or how about seeking some actual professional help?
But here lies the grand dilemma of this literary masterpiece. He's too much of an alpha male, you see? How can he ever stoop to such lows? Don't you feel miserable for this hapless man wonder? Goddamnit weep already, O reader!
And right about here, in comes Prisha, our heroine, the college freshman who is instantly enamoured by the much much elderly Saveer. (The same girl who fled her hometown because her high school flame dumped her.) And to make it all the more convincing, she falls in love with him after casually stalking him for few days. I suppose it is obvious by this point, that the girl boasts an IQ in the negatives.
The characters are stereotypical at best. The gay effeminate guy best friend who has the habit of saying 'sexy' out loud. The tomboyish girl best friend who has to habitually curse and utter 'bro' in every two lines. I mean where's the fun if the queer characters aren't hypersexual aren't they? The characters do not hold normal conversations. They speak in dialogues. (Something much better suited for Yourquote.in or the revered Farah Khan cinematic universe.) Just do not expect any semblance of character arcs going in. The author's mostly busy indulging in pretentious philosophical rambling about love and soul and shit, to even bother.
Moving on, we come to the smut. The extremely graphic and detailed love-making sequences. I mean they aren't a bad thing, right? Smut has its fair share of audience. But not when it's so banally written? Bargain bin trashy erotica that serves no purpose in the context of the 'thriller'. Might risk sounding like a puritan, however the age gap between Saveer and Prisha is quite problematic, seeing the manner in which they fall in love, and handle the relationship there after. She's basically a super dumb kid. And he's this Milind Soman ripoff with a brooding knight in a shining armour routine. But hey, who am I to judge?
𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚, 𝙏𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙨. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙩!
Well I tried.
The main mystery did pique my interest during the second book (which was a mild step-up from it's predecessor), but by then it was too late. The climax (laughable in it's absurdity) failed to live up to even the tiniest iota of anticipation, I might have had. The book honestly ends with one of the worst representations of mental illness I've ever read in literature. Okay, this ain't no literature. Who am I kidding? This is- how- how does one get published writing this? I mean sure, whatever, I am definitely not the target audience for this work. But a twelve year old can write better than this. ______________________________________________
This is the second book in the series. First book Forever is a Lie was a little disappointing for me as I loved the previously written novels by Novoneel. The second book resumes where the previous book ended - Presha was pushed by someone from the cliff at Nandi Hill where she was waiting for Saveer. Saveer is devastated when he hears this because he has lost almost everyone on his birthday which he feels is a curse. Little does he know that a man is after his life and his happiness. Presha confronts Sanveer and they hatch a plan to catch this man but in vain. Their future seems next to impossible and they call it quits. Both are devastated by this decision but the secret person is happy to see Sanveer in distress. Who is this person? A man or a woman?
The thrill moment begins from this book. The writing is lucid and a lot concentration now is on catching and finding out this mysterious person who is causing distress in the life of Presha and Sanveer. The series could have ended in one book , I couldn't find a reason why two books were needed. The story picked up pace and I really like how amazingly the mystery man plotted everything against Sanveer , specially the bug fitted in his cufflings.
I don't know if i'll recommend this series to anyone in comparison with Novoneel's previous works since you'll have to read the first book to understand the second one but in all it was an okay read for me.
4.5/5 Truth was more breathtaking than the Lie.. Fast paced, racy, no speed breakers, right from the first page to the last..Literally unputdownable.. Loved the slightly expected unexpectable twists... Gt to encounter a more matured Prisha, cud literally see her grown up compared to the previous book. Some place, found Saveer to be Lil stupid.. Really moved listening to the real Saveer's grieving side.. End was slightly Nt wat was expected or obvious... But then, hw wud we arrive at the Happy Ending... 'Almost' a GoodRead..
More of a sex story than a thriller, with sexual scene description almost in every chapter. It showcases how ignorant Indian society can be towards child sexual abuse, the only sensitive issue the book brings up, but much later in the plot. Other than that the emotional break-up-patch-up drama between Saveer and Prisha was slightly annoying. The manner in which this unknown woman has access to Saveer's life is somewhat unrealistic, getting information right off the bat, with no delay, as if she had no work of her own to be done. The stupid police couldn't even find even a single clue to unravel the mystery behind the woman, with most of the investigation done by Saveer himself. Overall a good time pass novel, but not a great quality read.
“The way to write a thriller is to ask a question at the beginning, and answer it at the end.”
This book is the concluding part of FOREVER Series. Again this book won’t leave you disappointed as it surprises you with its fantastic plot twist and events which definitely keeps you at the edge of your seat. While reading this book you start feeling curious which intrigues you to read and demand more.
“A mystery is a whodunit. You know what happened, but not how or who's behind it. A thriller, or suspense, is a howdunit. You know what happened, and you usually know who did it, but you keep reading because you want to know how they pulled it off.”
It’s worth reading for its mystery, suspense and the intensity shown throughout the story which has been described fabulously.
Wasted my time. Don't know why in these days, thriller novels are not so impressive. Predictable ending. Same plot read few days ago in a Bengali book. Oh gosh I had so much expectation!!
I finished reading just now 2nd book of Forever series and I must say it is one of the best thriller I have read so far. Book is unputdownable and kept me hooked to it upto end. It's like watching a suspense movie in front of your eyes and you are glued to your seat. Awesome writing, Waiting for next book by the author.
Novoneel Chakraborthy ; India’s most popular thriller writer. I totally agree with this statement. From his first book “A thing beyond forever” till his latest release “Forever is True” , Novoneel has served the best thrillers to the readers. In the span of 10 years writing career, He never failed to impress his readers. He has comprehend the skills way beyond any Indian author could have achieved in the decade.
"We are an echo of our wounds."
Forever is true, is the concluding part of Forever Series. In book one, Forever Is A Lie ; Saveer pushes Prisha to her death. It is the price she pays for loving him with all her heart. However, she miraculously survives. But certain aren’t easy and leave many unanswered questions in their wake. Why did Saveer attempt to kill Prisha? Is he really who he claims to be or is there more to this mysterious man that Prisha is yet to discover?
The writing style is so impressive, while the reader goes through the story Novoneel makes sure that the reader also thinks in parallel what might happen next. It such a page-turner, the witty twists, characterisation makes you fall for his writing. His writing speed, must appreciate. As he promised : Part 2 will be coming really soon, came after two months. In the same year we witnessed two books from Novoneel.
The character I liked the most is of course Prisha. And Saveer comes next, after all who doesn’t like The Mean Monster. I was little disappointed with the climax, although that’s the best way that could have been treated with. We always expect something more to happen in Novoneel’s writings. Overall it’s an amazing Romantic Thriller. I’m sure Novoneel will come up with his next book really soon.
Moments that are thrilling and a nice build up of suspense. However towards the latter part, it is possible to guess the perpetrator and the end becomes predictable. The eroticism of the authors earlier books now seems to have lapsed into mechanical sex scenes. A Promising book that could have been much better than it turned out.
This book is sequel to "Forever is lie". The suspense and curiosity is built up amazingly but the ending is very underwhelming. The climax is melodramatic, unrealistic and left me with a feeling of unfinished business. I wish the climax was written better and the story would have tied up perfectly.
What a thriller!!It satiated the hunger of suspense and completeness of its previous version. It was worth giving a try, after the hollowness that carved its way after reading the first part. Novoneel has beautifully crafted the story and brought his readers up to the zenith of suspense which wasn’t unfolded till the very last pages. Saveen uff the Mean Monster is shown as guy any girl would fall in love with. He is mature, caring, understanding, rich and has every bit of a romantic side that a girl would die for. All this was not served on plate for Prisha. She was responsible to change a monster, who would involve himself with every second women to cause pain to his soul, into a beautifully hearted person. Gauri remains Prisha’s bestie but Diggy meets an unfortunate end in this sequel. The story commence with Prisha waking up in the hospital after miraculously escaping the death. She is again warned to keep a distance from Saveen while laying still on the hospital bed. On the other hand, Saveen is engulfed in guilt of killing each and every person he has loved since his childhood. He has hidden this truth from Prisha and now she is giving the price of his selfish love. Little does he know that a man is after his life and his happiness? To his surprise, Prisha joins back his NGO and confronts him. To save their bond, they hatch a plan to catch the person behind all this but in vain. They have to finally call a quit to save Prisha be the next person to be killed. Will they ever come to know the person behind all the killings? The characters are shown trapped in a web from where there is no way out. The narration is interesting and will push you to flip the pages until the end. The quick turn of events increased the pace of the story and kept the reader glued .The story is very built up and succeeds to keep the readers entertained. It would have been a tough challenge for the author to complete the series on a beautiful note yet he did. The climax was worth the wait after having read two books to reach the person behind all the killings of Saveer’s loved ones on his birthday. It showed the cruel face of society that even boys are not safe with their so called relatives and that parents have to play a bigger role in fostering their kids. Overall, it is a quick read which will leave an impression on the reader and will take off towards the world of mystery and suspense. My ratings: Writing: 4/5 Characters: 3.5/5 Plot: 4/5 Entertainment Quotient: 4/5 Climax: 4/5
The book “Forever is True” is the 2nd book in the two book series where the 1st book was named “Forever is Lie”. “Forever is True” starts right from where the 1st book ended and kept us waiting to know what eventually happens in the end with the characters which are so miserably trapped in a web which they do not have any idea about. As always, Novoneel Chakraborty has used his typical style of writing where some strange activities keep happening with the protagonist and his closed ones and the reader is unable to comprehend what the real matter is. The good part about this series is that Novoneel has kept the character of culprit hidden throughout and once we get to know who he/she really is, we find it believable and still support him/her.
To be precise, the climax is worth a wait for the reader who has to finish two books to get to know the real person behind all the killings on the birthday of Saveer Rathod right since he was in school. The narrative is very interesting which does not let you keep the book d own until you know the suspense. The built-up of the story and curiosity is very well done. Being the 2nd book, the challenge for the author was double to keep the book in sync with the first one and still deliver double of it. The author almost achieves this and which is what makes this series one of the recommended books by him. Novoneel knows how to write psychological thriller better than anyone else in India and this is what makes him still the favourite among so many peers and Indian authors.
With this book, Novoneel has evolved better than all his previous books and comparing this work with the Stranger Trilogy, this one is far ahead than that. Talking about the drawbacks of this book, I would say that there should have been some parallel story showing the lifestyle and timelines of the culprit too to make the audience feel more excited about the villain of the story. This is a normal flow in Novoneel’s story that the main culprit is revealed only in the end so it becomes quite risky for him as a storyteller to assure that reader feels the same churn he expects them to have after knowing the killer. Rest, this book is a perfect page-turner and a wonderful thriller with a fine climax. I give this book 4.25* out of 5.
forever is true is a second and last part of the forever series by Novoneel Chakraborty . I hope you have gone through my review of forever is lie , first book of this series. In this part, the unknown antagonist somehow succeeded in breaking Saveer and Prisha apart. He nearly killed and warned Prisha to stay away from Saveer.
Love is full of surprises; it always finds their ways to be together. Besides Saveer was blamed for Prisha’s condition they got together, Prisha was confident of her true love. This was nothing but a victory on that wicked soul. Then the unpleasant part comes in action and the stranger decided to made them suffer one way or the another.
Somehow the missfortune cost Diggy his life. This is a spoiler but It was the saddest part for me as I really liked Diggy’s character. Diggy was supportive, kind, generous and vulnerable.
This part of the series mostly includes hunt for the unknown enemy of Saveer. Sometimes you conclude that he must be a psychopath obsessed with Saveer but it’s not the case. Prisha uncovers the mystery and yet keep the mystery alive at the end.
Forever is True is a complete package of love, romance, friendship, mystery and thrill. Story is perfectly braided; u get to know what u need to know at the perfect part of the book. Book continuously maintain your interest in uncovering the unknown.
Also keeps you emerged in the story till the end. Author has beautifully managed with the subtlety but if you are really into mysteries you will discover the unknown in half of the part. I guessed it right in the end of previous part, though I doubted it a bit while reading this part.
In this part, Friendship part is little faded and relationship goals achieved. I loved the enigma of the story apart from love angles. Its indeed a thriller; I was thrilled by the possibility of every uncovering plot in the story while reading.
"Hope is what makes one refuse to give up on a journey. Without Hope, it would just be an unending loop." This was my first read from the author @novoneelchakraborty and it really is a good mystery thriller ride.
Thriller is all about making a question at the start and answering it at the end. Prisha, 18 year old mass communication student who was dumped by her boyfriend finds real love in Bengaluru. Saveer, 34 year old the so-called Mean Monster who was broken beyond damage and full of mystery finds his love again in Prisha. Mending of two broken soul, no difference from other love stories. #gauri and #diggy were The charming supportive Friends. #foreverisalie was a bit slow, Prisha running after Saveer and falling for him trying to unknot his life. But it paces up at the end where she was being pushed off from the cliff by Saveer,..and Is that Saveer? What happened to Prisha? making people desperately wanna read the next book #foreveristrue which is brilliant comparing to the first book, with witty twists and turns. And I felt like "why make a series, if all you need is in the second book itself, why not make a single book?!" Dark Romance Thriller, and only go for it if you like to accept the disappointment in the first and later cover it up in the second book. Happy reading peeps!

Title : Forever is true Author: Novoneel Chakraborty "Forever is true" is the second and concluding book of forever series. It has an interesting plot. It was an awesome read which I completed reading in 5 hours. The suspense left in first book made me more excited for the second one. Prisha escapes the death Miraculously but Saveer is still devastated for hidding the truth, which he feels is a curse . Saveer decides to end the relation then and there for prisha's own good but they couldnt. Many mysterious events happening around them makes them realise and search for the culprit who is making their lives difficult. Slowly it starts to unravel and dots get connected to the past. We get to know a little about saveer's childhood in this part. The was Unpredictable for me , author has maintainted the suspense till the end . I Dont want to say more here but do give it a try .
Just finished this book and found no problem in understanding without reading the first one. I skipped many of the pages as the dialogues and actions were boring and repetitive. What i didnt like.. 1. so many loopholes like what happened to saveer's friend (i guess the name is correct), his dog, his childhood girlfriend. 2. A highly messed up individual, wanted to avnege everything wrong to him, get straight only by listening to prisha's 5 min blabbering. 3. Prisha is annoying. 4. Climax looked like loose ends. Needed more of what happened exactly to the killer. 5. Narration 6. Suspence can be guessed easily even before te ending. What i liked.. 1. Oh the story. The theme. 2. Its better than stranger trilogy
This review is for both the books in the Forever series.
Book#1 - Forever Is A Lie: It has more romance and drama than suspence and intense scenes. All in all, it is a good book. No complaints here.
Book#2 - Forever Is True: My favourite of the both. A fast paced highly intense thriller. This is what I consider an "unputdownable" book. I couldn't stop reading this until my eyes felt heavy because of sleep.
Novoneel Chakraborty has done it again. A darn good thriller series after the Stranger trilogy.
One could always relate to the writings of Novoneel. The story takes place in India, which helps Indians connect to the story better, and he uses colloquial Indian English, which is very easy to understand (especially for Indians).
𝟐.𝟓 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 SOMEBODY, PLEASE EXPLAIN. Why there is a need to create duology when the first book has hardly any content?!
The story only gets better by the end of the 1st book. And some people may like this series based on the 2nd book itself. Wish could skip the first book, but then the first book barely has any content. The second book doesn't have a character introduction.
There are several things in this plot that were either left as it is or barely covered. And then you meet this so-called "strong female" character Prisha, who was insanely jealous of a dead girl acting in two different ways. Annoying friends, behaving as people think teenagers usually are. The only character worst rooting for is the antagonist.
In this concluding part of the 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, master of twists Novoneel Chakraborty takes you on a roller-coaster ride to the climax of the story, leaving you satiated yet hungry for more.
One hell of a series. Git goosebumps while reading this. In the first part Prisha was pushed from the cliff on Nandi hills and fortunately she survived. She came to know that it was not Saveer who pushed her. Later on they came to know that whoever has pushed her don't want them to be together. He or she wants Saveer to suffer his whole life. Will they come to know about the mysterious woman and live happy or they have to continue suffering.
