This book follows when the first ended, but even when it is possible to understand what's going on without reading the first, I truly recommend that you read that one first for a better enjoyment of this one.

We find Jessica regretting almost immediately to stay into the cult, instead of fleeing at the end of the previous book. We get to meet a great number of different characters that had been drawn into the cult, and the variety makes the story even more interesting.

The cult is believable and realistic, and so very scary!

This is a truly engaging read, and I recommend to all people who enjoy dark reads.

No one leaves the cult alive.
They seem to be ordinary people.
They have paying jobs.
They have a tight-knit community full of love and appreciation.
They learn, play, and celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and monumental accomplishments.
They kill.
When Jessica is pulled into The Silent Red Room’s twisted clan, she learns that failure to comply with Father Paul’s word could be deadly.
See why no one ever leaves the cult, even if they wanted to.

I have to say just WOW!!!! This book is amazing; I just love it.
This author gave the most realistic, chilling account of what induction and living in a cult is truly like.
This is the most believable book on cults to have come out for a while now.
The author has done an amazing job with all the descriptions of recruitment and the secrecy.
What makes this book so scary is that it could very easily happen in any town, anywhere; any country.
Highly recommend reading!

I received a free ARC from the author but this is my own honest voluntary review.

What could possibly go wrong? Jessica was fascinated with the Internet site The Silent Red Room and decided to join in. After all it just seemed to be a site like some others, an online dating site, a site where people air their break ups, their fears. It was certainly intriguing. But once in, the site pulls you in to its dark side and you quickly realize that like a fly in a spider's web, you are trapped! This story will take you places you hoped you would never be and just when you think it all must be over, there is a surprising ending.
A great unusual story that makes you wonder what the author will come up with next.

I read the book and found that it was a bit different from the books I normally read. I was a bit lost at the beginning of the book since this is the 2nd book in the series. As I continued read I got to know the different characters and I was able to figure out who to root for and who I didn't really care for. The book is very well written and the suspense will keep you at the edge of your seat. If you like books with lots of suspense then this is right up your alley.

This is book 2 of a trilogy and I can't wait until the next one! I found this to be so scary because of its realistic portrayal of cults and the general cult mindset. The characters are well written, well developed and the story pulls you in and you feel like you are reading about something real. I definitely recommend this to horror fans!

Another great installment in the trilogy; spoiled a little by not seeming to have been thoroughly spell- or grammar-checked, but the plot and twists therein more than make up for that. Straight on to the last of the trilogy, and I'm very much looking forward to finding out how it all concludes...or not!

Dark suspense of events that could be from today’s headlines. I was drawn in from the first page. Faster paced, realistic read, that will keep you at the edge of your seat. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

As Jessica gets drawn further into Father Paul's cult she realises that it is not what she thought she wanted, it's violence, fear, and ruined lives, the second gritty book in the series.

Sensational

This was a sensational book. There were secrets, there was mystery, there was violence, and it showed a lot of different stuff about human beings

This author gave the most realistic, chilling account of what induction and living in a cult is truly like, it is horrifying and suspicion is everywhere and the author portrayed this to the maximum, this has got to be the best cult fiction book I have ever read. What makes this book so scary is that it could very easily happen in anytown, USA. Congrats to the author!
