She was always the one.
Or so I thought.
Turns out my instincts were dead wrong.

Years ago I was faced with the choice between two women. Both were perfect in opposite ways. One was carefree and against commitment. The other was a woman you’d bring home to mom.

I was young, naïve and stupid. I’m sure you can guess who I chose.

Now, I’m older, wiser and know what the hell I want.

So, when the same two women pop back into my life it’s my chance for a do-over. But they flipped the script. Just like me, they want different things now. Leaving me with one choice—convince the woman I want that she wants me too.

Well it feels like it's taken a while to get to Knox's story, and yet I don't really know him that well. I know the surface stuff, but he hasn't been as involved in all the other couples as other characters, like Jax, have been. And then we kind of got teased with she who shan't be named, and now we're here.

And I have to be honest, I read that blurb and then I started this book and the further in I got the more I wasn't sure what was going to happen. I know Knox was saying what he was feeling but he had been so twisted up in Leilani I was scared how things were going to pan out.

Especially because I really loved Kamea. She was such a sweetheart and was going through such a nightmare of a time. Then to watch her fears over everything that was happening, I felt them right along with her. I am so glad that she was so mature and reasonable because I was not feeling so level header as my stomach was twisted up in knots.

I really liked that we got so much of the rooftop crew without them being too interfering. And I think I fell a little more in love with Jax throughout this book. I really can't wait to see his story next.

The whole book.. WHOLE BOOK was about heroine feeling second best and super insecure. She even tells TWICE to hero's friends, that years ago hero picked other girl over her. Like.. kinda ...awkward.. and bitter.

And blurb makes it seem more, then it was (that picking between girls). Hero and heroine and that third chick (who he choose first) all met on one night at a bar. Hero and heroine flirt (she is waitress) , they have connection. But then heroine friend comes, who is more fun and hero forgets about heroine and fucks that friend in that bar alley. They are on-off for years and he really loved her. Wanted to marry her. BUT the girl did not want to (so that means they would be married for years, if that chick would have not dumped him all those times)- heroine never sees him again until years later.

All during book everybody says how hung up hero was on his ex and how she hurt him badly (when she run off and dumped him.. again). Making heroine feel EVEN MORE second best and insecure. It did not help, that she was doppelganger for her friend who hero choose first time around (people mistaked them for sisters). Like she sees hero, hero sees her. They have chemistry and then her friend comes, who look LIKE her (but better...?) and hero chooses her instead (he reasoned at that first night, that because she was fun and heroine was a keeper or something like that. and he did not want to keep anybody). And years later when it did not work out with the friend (he and the first pick was broken up 2 years by that point), hero chooses her and regrets every choosing friend....

Just.. yuck. In the end I was convinced she was second best, because she believed it the whole book and it was told so many times. Whole plot was around it.

And hero did not do anything wrong.. i mean.. they just flirted a bit one night and made googly eyes and then he saw someone better and went home with her instead. It happens. No promises was made. And they never see each other again, until YEARS later, when he was broken up with that friend for 2 years and over her finally.

Author.. Like too much is too much, okay?

Unexpected but delighted with the turn of events in this wonderful read. I loved every minute of it! Because, well #knoxistheman

I have been dying to get my hands on Knox's story since the very beginning, he's the one of the group of friends that is hardly around because of his job as a police officer but once in a while pops up with a girl which none of his friends like. The bomb that was dropped at the end of OUR STAR-CROSSED KISS had me wondering what on earth was going to happen with him because WOW.

The Do-Over was the fifth book in the Rooftop Crew series by the authors Piper Rayne. The series was best read in order as the characters continue to develop within each book.

In the Do-Over we finally get Knox’s story. He was one of the threesome of Dylan (Rival Roomies, book three), Knox and Jax; who all grew up together in foster homes and had each other’s backs even now as adults. Knox was the cop, which was a surprise from his childhood, but fit him well.

I can’t elaborate within the review without spoilers, so all I can say is that I’m thankful the authors didn’t take us down the traditional second chance path. If they had, my review would be much different. What I will say is that we learned in previous books that Lelani was Knox’s one love but she was a free spirit and kept coming in and out of his life. Within the last few books of the series, she was present and then she wasn’t but then a cliff hanger at the previous book brought her back into Knox’s life again. So the story begins again.

No spoilers so no elaboration but stay with it. You might be surprised at the turn of events. And now another one we’ve all been waiting for, Jax is up next in A Co-Worker’s Crush!

Fantastic! I loved Knox and his leading lady!  I was really looking forward to reading this story especially after the ending of Our Star Crossed Kiss!

Be prepared you will not want to put their story down! I don't want to give to much away, there are definitely a few surprises in store for Knox and ..........

I loved seeing Knox the cop and I loved Patrice, is work colleague! She was so funny! She knew before he did that ....... was the one for him!  I loved seeing more of Knox's family too and his mum was do funny!

As always the rest of the Crew are never far away! Loved seeing Dylan all protective of his "brother"!

I loved this second chance romance with a twist!

Bring on Jax, Frankie's and Jolie's story now!

Nice story but I didn’t really feel Knox & Kamea had any sort of chemistry/connection. He had more of a thing with Leilani..you know...the ex who he chose because she was more exciting/sexier than the heroine. Ordinarily this would bother me but because I wasn’t really invested in the main couple, it didn’t bother me as much that Kamea was second best. Still, a pleasant enough read.

This story went so much differently then what I expected. It had a spin I didn't see coming. But I loved it.

I was very surprised by the girl Knox ended up with. She was so perfect for him though. I think Piper Rayne got it exactly right in their choice.

I don't want to say to much because I want everyone to experience the surprise and enjoyment that I did. Even when I knew the who though, it was such a great ride to get to the how. Because it was not an easy or uncomplicated journey.

Which I guess was the point. I'm not sure how the story would have worked had it been what I think everyone was expecting.

But overall this book was so fantastic and the writing was perfection. I breezed though the story in a few hours because I didn't want it to stop. This is a five star, two thumbs up kind of read.

I really enjoyed The Do-Over by Piper Rayne.

The storyline is well written, entertaining from start to end, I loved being with all the Rooftop Crew and getting to watch Knox find his happily ever after.

It's hard to share your thoughts without posting spoilers, I want the readers to experience the same thrill and enjoyment watching Knox fall in love.

What I will say is, I laughed, I swooned and I was a very happy reader with the way everything worked out.

The Do-Over is a beautiful, heartfelt read and an excellent addition to the Rooftop Crew series.

I was really looking forward to reading this story especially after the ending of Our Star Crossed Kiss. And it did not disappoint! There were plenty of fun, laugh out loud moments, although having said that there were some angsty and emotional parts as well.

This book was such a surprise for me. I loved that there was a twist of sorts throughout this story as I tried to figure out exactly how things would pan out. It’s a kind of spin on a second chance romance that I have never read before. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed this one and loved how Piper Rayne took this story to another level. The Do-Over is a wonderful addition to The Rooftop Crew series, each book has been a joy to read and I highly recommend them all.

For me, Piper Rayne is a top favourite author. Every single book they write I read. No matter the synopsis. I love their writing that much. The Do-Over has all the elements I love about their writing. Quirky characters, amazing friendships, romance and comedy.

I have been excited to read Knox’s story since his character was first introduced in the beginning of the series. Knox has a huge heart. He will give you the shirt off his back. He is a police officer and has worked hard to get where he is since growing up in a much less favourable area. He comes from a good home, a mom and a dad that have always worked hard and have always been supportive and loving. In fact my favourite character in this whole story is Knox’s mom. She has a heart of gold and I just adored the friendship she forms with Kamea and she gave her the best advice.

Kamea is a lovely girl. She is loyal, honest and hard working. She grew up with Leilani and they have been on and off again friends. Leilani is also Knox’s ex-girlfriend and she broke his heart.

I wanted to love this one so much more than I did but sadly it missed the mark for me. Where I struggled with this one was the connection between Knox and Kamea, or lack there of. There were so many things getting in the way. Her insecurities, his inability to communicate, the ex girlfriend Leilani was brought up way too much and it really took away from me falling for this couple the way I wanted to.

Having said all this I am SO excited to get Jax and Frankie’s story next! I think they are my most anticipated couple in this whole series. I am so intrigued by their dynamic and her daughter Jolie after finishing the Do-Over. So, while this wasn’t my favourite I still recommend it for fans of this series and rom-com lovers.

This was a bit of a different take on a second chance romance and I adored it. This was the first book that I read in this series and I was a little concerned I would be lost/missing some backstory but that was not the case. Yes, it was clear that there were other stories before Knox's but I didn't feel like I missed anything without reading those first. I truly enjoyed Knox and his lady. They were so perfect together. I loved how caring he is and how he stepped up to take care of her when she needed it most. I loved that he wanted her to get on her feet before they started anything but that also made me want to punch him - like wake up dude! you can't lose her again. I loved how he made her stronger, how her feelings for him helped make her stronger, believe in herself, give her motivation to add on to her business. I also loved how she made him realize what a ding dong he was all those years ago and made him step up. These two are just perfect together and I couldn't get enough of their story. It was entirely too short but now I need to go back and read the previous 4 box while I patiently wait for Jax's story.

Years ago, Knox made a choice. That choice has dogged him for years. But an epiphany will have him seeing things in a whole new light, and a woman will become his focus. Is she a second chance? Or is she the victim of the choice he made before?

I absolutely LOVE Knox and the woman he was always meant to be with, the one he was destined to love. The twist took me by surprise in the best way, and made this story that much better. Their love story is emotionally satisfying, sexy, and twisty and definitely my favorite of this already great series.

I did not go into this book feeling like I knew what was going to happen. From what we’ve seen of Knox and Leilani in the previous Rooftop Crew Series, I had no idea what their relationship really entailed. Knox keeps it close to the vest so you don’t really get to know him that well in the previous books, but this book ended up being more than I could have imagined! I love where Piper Rayne took this. Both of the characters were fantastic and seeing them come together, despite the other things that are they’re dealing with, was so satisfying. Their past experiences in life have definitely left a mark and are impacting what they’ve been going through as adults. There was just a lot of depth and I really loved getting to know Knox!

As always the Rooftop Crew always brings such a fun and happy element to the books. They’re just such a strong group of friends that support each other, are super kind, and are just trying to do the best for themselves in life. I love how the women in this group get together and support each other. They are the female friends we all wish we had. They've had some struggles, but they own them and persevere. They are working hard to go after their dreams and I love it. Next up is Jax and Frankie, and with her daughter Jolie's Christmas wish to Santa at the end of this book, we all know it's going to be a great story. I cannot wait to get into Jax's mind!! The Do-Over is like a romantic midlife crisis—but make it hot, hilarious, and heartfelt 🔁🔥😅

It’s giving: one man 👮‍♂️, two women, and a whole lot of emotional damage (and swoony redemption). Watching Mr. Regret try to win back the right one while juggling karma, curveballs, and feelings? Chef’s kiss. 👨‍🍳💘

Emotional, steamy, and packed with that signature Piper Rayne charm—another winner in the rom-com relay race! 🏃‍♂️💞📚

The Do-Over by Piper Rayne put a twist on second chance romance. And it won me over completely. Lovable leads and a big group of awesome friends and families. All the emotions mixed with steam. And Piper Rayne's sharp and brilliant writing. Recipe for amazing romance every single time.

Knox has own rules and codes about life. And as a cop, he follows them strictly. Leilani fully used his protective and caring side. And he was hurt. And she is back again. After many years. But this time Knox meets someone from his past. Kamea. He made a choice years back. Can he have a do over?

This story threw me off a bit. As I have read all the books in this series and the on-off relationship between Knox and Leilani was described in passing in all books. Kamea was a surprise and she is also the person who gives this story the extra drama and necessary edge. They are two very different girls. Leilani is impulsive, reckless, manipulative and self absorbed. But Kamea has goals in life. She has a soft and compassionate heart. I love her!Knox is a good man. The best kind. Loyal. Honest. Passionate. Caring. Leilani broke his heart but they obviously had a connection. Whereas Kamea fits him perfectly and they have a great soothing vibe and sensational chemistry. She has insecurity and doubts. And Knox needs to make it alright. I think you can guess what may happen but it will a complicated love story for sure! There is no cheating in this book.

Whenever I think about swoony, sexy and emotional romance, I think about Piper Rayne. Rooftop Crew series is another of their genius creation and The Do-Over proved that again.

I knew I would love Knox’s story from start but this story was not what I was expecting at all.

If you’ve been reading from the beginning you know Knox and Leilani have a history and of course, now he has arrested the woman he once loved. Knox is a big softie, he is protective of himself and like to stick to the rules. Until a blast from his past comes back and pushes him.

I loved every single moment of this story. It is a fantastic second chance romance full of laughs and of course the family vibe from the rest of the Rooftop Crew. The chemistry between Knox and his second chance, yeah I am not naming her because I want people to be surprised like I was when reading, is amazing and I loved their relationship from the start. She also easily fit in with the rest of the crew and instantly bonded with all the other women.

Knox’s story is one of my favorites of the series and I completely love him, however, Jax is next and things are going to get wild. The Do-Over is a MUST READ second chance romance that is full of laughs and plenty of hilarious moments between friends.

I loved this book hard. The Do-Over had everything you could want in a book! Great characters and friendships, witty banter, steamy moments and some rather funny slogans.
I really loved Knox. A cop with a heart of gold and friends that tell him like it is or should be but also back him up. The comradery was triumphant and the way Knox was with a certain someone where he has the opportunity to re do things give us quite the bumpy ride.
Can Knox make this certain woman see that hes over his past and looking toward a future? How can he make her see that she is worth everything?
I finished this book in one sitting and cannot wait for more. This dynamic duo of authors has given us a fantastic, entertaining story. Go 1-click! You won’t be sorry!

This wasn't my favorite book in the series, but it wasn't as terrible as some make it out to be in my opinion. The biggest issue is that the OW drama with Lelani kind of overshadows the romance quite often. I could deal with Kamea's self-doubts and lack of confidence. After all, she had good reason to think that Knox would perhaps prefer Lelani over Kamea given his sordid history with her. And yes, it became pretty annoying towards the end when Knox had more than proven himself to be loyal to Kamea. But the way Lelani kept inserting herself into their lives was overkill and a detriment to the Knox/Kamea romance plot.

I really liked Knox. He was compassionate, loyal and a good cop. But he was an idiot when it came to Lelani. Even after Kamea said she didn't want the money back, he was obsessed with getting it back for her. Listen to your woman already! Even his friends kept saying he was clueless and digging his own grave, but did he listen? Nope! He makes up for it in the end at least and it's sweet how he tries to 'court' her.

Kamea was strong in her own ways. She held her own when it came to socializing with others and promoting her t-shirt business. Networking was definitely one of her strong skills. But her self-confidence did take a hit years ago when Knox picked Lelani over her that night in the bar. And that was a common theme throughout the book. She kept wondering if Knox really still had a thing for Lelani given how he was obsessed over finding her again (on her behalf). I get it, but it did become annoying when the authors had it on rinse-and-repeat every chapter. She was a really sweet young lady though and I liked how well she meshed with Knox's friends.

Lelani was too prominent in this one as noted. I knew she did Knox bad, but I didn't know how bad things were until this book. She was nothing but a manipulative user who had no loyalty to anyone unless it was convenient for her at the time. I know some books have villains, but I think this time the villain overshadowed the hero/heroine, which is not what I want in a romance book.

Next up is Jax and Frankie's book and I can't wait!

I‘ve been patiently waiting for Knox‘s story. He intrigued me from the very first book. Not only is he a hot cop, he‘s also a very big and vital part of our rooftop crew.

He‘s had his ups and downs with his on and off girlfriend Leilani and I seriously thought he would end up with her for good! But no Piper Rayne had someone different up there sleeve for us and I‘m soo happy how his story turned out!

Knox‘s heroine is very different from Leilani which makes her sooo special. I loved her from the start. She looks like a good girl but she‘s alot more than what you see. She‘s just perfect for Knox and fits right into the crew.

Now I can‘t wait to read Jax‘s story but I‘m also sad that this series will end soon.

Wow, wow, wow, I didn't see that coming and not at all what I expected but exactly the way it needed to be! I have been waiting for Knox's story and his definitely wasn't without complications and jaw-dropping moments but so worth the wait!

If you've read any of Piper Rayne's books you know every once in awhile they love to throw a wrench in the story your expecting and this is one of those stories. Prepare to be blown away because this story will do just that but in the best way possible.

I loved this story and do excited for the next book in this series!

The Do Over is the ultimate second chance romance, and the latest story from the Rooftop crew!

Knox is about to get a promotion to detective, and the last thing he needs is his ex, Leilani, who tore his heart apart, messing it up. But that’s exactly what happens, when he catches her red-handed in a crime and has to arrest her. What he doesn’t expect is for her friend Kamea, the waitress who served him and who he had a connection with the night he met Leilani all those years ago, to be the one to bail her out. Kamea hasn’t heard from Leilani in years but feels the need to come and help her out, which Leilani definitely doesn’t return the favour for. Broke and homeless, Kamea suddenly finds herself being rescued by the tall handsome guy she met years ago, and who she thought would take her home that night. Knox offers his spare room to Kamea, but she doesn’t like to take handouts, and decides to quickly get out of his way, but without her realising, she’s quickly swept up and welcomed into the crew. But some have reservations about her close link to Leilani, and how she wrecked Knox time and time again. Knox is given the opportunity of a do-over, he can choose to chase Leilani around again, or choose the woman he’s had a deeper connection with all along. Who will he choose, and is Kamea the girl to show him what real love is?

I felt for Kamea all the way through, all she was trying to be was a good friend and she was repaid in the worst way. I loved her ambition to make her business work and also to be accepted into the group. But the constant comparison to Leilani was difficult to read, and I am so glad that she could see for herself how different she was to Knox than Leilani was. Knox had worked so hard for his promotion, and although no one believed him, I genuinely thought that he was over Leilani throughout most of this book, because he could see that she wasn’t right for him. Kamea and Knox had a real strong connection which was built on something more than just physical chemistry, although they had that too, but she could show him what a healthy and mature relationship could be like, with mutual love and respect for each other’s feelings, even though there was push and pull along the way.

It was great seeing all the other couples, and how happy they are in their relationships. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Review by Jen Skewes

I really enjoyed this book. I have been waiting for Knox’s story because of all the characters that we have met from the Rooftop crew, Knox seemed to be the quietest an the one that we didn’t know too much about. We just knew that he was hung up on his ex-girlfriend.

I do not want to say too much about this story other than, Leilani comes back into his life in an unexpected way, but her appearance also brings back someone else from his past. Kamea, the woman that he met right before he took Leilani home. She’s the one that he didn’t forget about, and perhaps the one that got away. With Leilani causing problems for all, Knox steps in and helps Kamea with her living situation. The chemistry between Kamea and Knox is undeniable. But the possibility that Knox may still have lingering feelings for his ex, could ruin any chance he has with Kamea. Cn he prove that he is over his ex and wants more with Kamea, or will his ex-get in the way once again?

I really loved this one, simply for the fact that Knox is one of those really good guys. He has a huge heart, and you cannot help but love him. Kamea is the sweet girl that has her own insecurities, especially when it comes to her friend. These two were so good together.

One of the many reasons why I love this series is because of the friendships and while The Do-Over nay be Knox’s story, we still get to see plenty oof the crew that we all love. They are all there to give their advice, making us laugh, by cracking jokes and just be the amazing friends that they are. It’s like you are a part of their inner circle.

I cannot wait for Frankie and Jax’s book. I think next to Dylan that Jax may be my favorite. Especial after seeing how adorable he is with Frankie’s little girl. Cannot wait for it!!!

Oh boy, this was one dramatic read! I've really come to love the variety in Piper and Rayne's Rooftop Crew series--they've been doing a great job with keeping the tropes fresh and the stories are all super different from one another. Most of all, I absolutely adore their friend group! I've been eager to read Knox's story for a while since he's been the quiet, mysterious one in the group up until now, and we definitely got to see some depth underneath his uniform. ;)

Part of the fun of this book is that the heroine is a bit of a mystery...is it Knox's ex...is it someone else? He's getting a do-over...but until you start reading you're not going to know who. ;)

Since I'm trying to keep Knox's love a mystery...I'm going to keep this rather brief and say that I loved her! I loved getting to know her, loved how she and Knox grew closer and fell in love, and I really loved seeing how she fit into their friend group. Knox's parents were also super precious and I loved them, too. When it comes to Piper and Rayne's books, I'm always a sucker for the friend groups, and the family moments, and all of those lovely dynamics, and this one did it super well.

Overall, I thought that THE DO-OVER was great! It was sexy, sweet, and I loved seeing Knox and his mystery lady fall in love! I was a little bit conflicted going into this one because Knox is a cop, and with everything that's gone on this year I honestly do feel a bit iffy reading romances where the heroes (or even the heroines) are police. That did kind of damper my excitement for this one, but all in all, I did enjoy it. A few other little things kept me from absolutely loving this one, namely Dylan's behaviour during parts of it and a tad too much drama for my personal taste, but it was an exciting, fun read and I definitely recommend it to contemporary romance fans who like second-chance stories, especially if you like them to have some twists and turns along the way.

description

Knox Whelan is a police officer of the Cliffton Heights Police Department who is a sucker for strong women. He has wasted a few years for the "wrong girl" that his career became stagnant. He got passed over from a promotion because of his "savior complex" with fixing his ex-girlfriend. After breaking things off with her and coming out bearly surviving, he made sure that he focused on work and friends only. Unknowing to Knox, he would have his second chance when he arrested a past and bumped into another - all in one place.

Kamea works at the country club but is currently on hiatus due to the ongoing renovations until spring. She has a side business that provides good income and some savings on the side. Too bad that someone from her past had other plans and turned her world upside-down. The result was Kamea being:
1. broke,
2. kicked out of her home by said friend's friends,
3. ghosted and bailed by the said friend after loaning the money, and worst of all,
4. saved by someone who she blames for all her insecurities.

It has been a while since I was offered a book with two women and a man who did not choose well. I was excited, and the book did not disappoint—the story from the first-person POV narrative - Knox and Kamea. I enjoyed the book's honesty and grit in Knox, failing himself and having to face his mistakes and try his hardest in "fixing" his life - professionally and personally. But when a promotion is on the line, will Knox's choice be convincing enough to Kamea to trust him with her heart after choosing the last time differently?

In Knox's head (and heart), Kamea is the woman who got away. He had been riddled with so many "what-ifs" in the book. I got so invested in his "rules" and analytical ways that - I wanted to smack him and tell him, "YES, DO IT!" Everyone else did too! He chose the wrong girl in the past (boohoo) then make things right instead of lingering in the past! Although if Knox did that, it would have cut the book in half and made him an "underdeveloped character," --> which is not what this book is all about! Be patient is all I advise.

Kamea remembers Knox well enough that it had a lingering effect on how she sees herself. Knox's actions finally shattered her confidence. She had a past that I emphasize. It is full of disappointments with men, especially from one man in particular. This defeatist self-worth has been with her for so long that it may be a reason that she hasn't pushed her small business forward and still look at it as a side business.

Knox and Kamea's honesty is evident because, halfway through the book, everything was said and laid out. This element is a big plus for the book! It is refreshing because knowing where both main characters stand is what makes up the story, hence the title. There were no flashbacks about what happened. There were some "thought processing," but instead, each character confessed to the other right there and then. Knox and Kamea told each other the truths with so much conviction and confidence that it made the scenes a lot more compelling.

Getting back to the present, I liked how Kamea "opened her eyes" early to become braver and resilient in the face of her situation. She may owe her friend her gratitude in the past, but her friend's attitude and treatment of Kamea was inexcusable. Granted, this friend had her reasons and experience, but she should not treat others this way! I was horrified by her friend's nonchalant attitude while Kamea stood there, panicking and begging out of her situation.
She had her chin-up and focus on her business and maybe getting the guy - if she can convince him that they should have a "do-over."
I loved her plan and glad that Knox did see the error of his ways - that Kamea is nothing like his ex-girlfriend. She is further and a lot better for him than he could have hoped!
The fact he's holding m behind velvet ropes pisses me off. I won't admit this to him, but I'm pissed at myself, too. I put myself in a position where some guy thinks he can't be with me because I'm too vulnerable. It's about time I do what I'm designing on these new shirts - I need to be a girl boss.
-- Kamea, The Do-Over

Thank goodness for nosy neighbors/friends! I love how they taunted (with love) and supported (feverishly) Knox while taking in Kamea as part of them. Knox's friends all lobbied and shook some senses to both characters. I give them all credit for making the story work! They are responsible for Knox "breaking his rules" and Kamea for taking charge to change things that ended with an explosive (!) HEA for both of them. My jaw is still at the bottom of my lap even I type this review up.

The Do-Over is all about choices, consequences, growing-up, healing, second chances, and redemption. There is a lot of growing up for all the characters, even the "other woman." Note that there is no cheating involved and is more for Knox being "pressured" by his friends at that time, which was typical. It is well-written and how the author ended the story has thoughtful. I am now curious to start on the Roof Top Crew series based on this book. I hope you do, too, after you check The Do-Over out!
If I went through all the hell to be here right now, with her, it was all worth it. She's worth it.

Let’s talk about “The Do-Over by Piper Rayne”. This is book five of “The Rooftop Crew” series.
🖤
This series keeps getting better and better with each book released. I honestly can’t tell you which one is my favorite couple so far, but I’m SO here for Knox and Kamea! will their children have names beginning with the letter K? Is it a new dynasty forming? Move over Kardashians, there is a new K power couple to rule the world!

I’ll start by saying there is NO love triangle in this story, because Knox is so over Leilani, finally. There’s so much one can handle of an unstable person. Long years ago he made a wrong choice between two friends, one that he deeply regrets now when suddenly Kamea is back to his life. Who knew that arresting his ex-girlfriend would bring the love of his life?

I love Kamea, so much! I could see a lot of me on her personality, except the vegetarian stuff. She is so strong, smart, focus and kind. She is an introvert and doesn’t have a lot of friends and the one she has, Leilani, is toxic AF. But I loved the most is how hard she fought for herself and to achieve her goals. I laugh a lot when she said she didn’t hold a grudge over Knox, because, yeah, she obviously does!

Knox and Kamea’s chemistry was off charts and once their past was dealt with, it was an explosion. And damn, I would give my kidney to be with that hot of a cop Knox (yeah, not really, but you get my drill)! Also they obviously developed a relation based on trust, friendship and respect, love the maturity they had.

I screamed out loud in the end with Kamea’s reaction over the twist, you go girl! Gosh, I have a girl crush on her! And that epilogue? I can’t wait for the last book in the series featuring Jax and Frankie, I’m so anxious and excited for them!

"Another series that is a must read for me. From the beginning of the series, this crew pulled me in and let me get lost in each of their stories, Knox's story is no different. The strong, silent one of the group finally gets his shot. When I heard the title and started reading, I have to say, I didn't like his ex, so I wasn't sure how the author was going to pull this off for me. I should have known, I should have trusted the process, because once I actually started reading, I couldn't put this story down.
The friends that are more like family definitely rally around Knox when his opportunity comes knocking. It's a slow burn kind of second chance story, Knox has to work for it, rightfully so, and though he's genuinely a good guy, let's just say it's a good thing he has people around him to help him out. I love how they all have each other's backs, no matter what. I also like that they're open to expanding their circle... for the right folks." ~Shirley

"What can I say, I love the Rooftop Crew characters and stories so this was a quick all-consuming read for me. This was the perfect way to spend my day with characters that feel like friends.

After all Knox has gone through with Lelani over the course of the other Rooftop Crew books, I am so damn happy that he gets a ""do-over"" and it is with someone like Kamea. Kamea is so different and that is why it works between them. Kamea's sweet and gentle nature not only intrigues Knox but she blends in with the Crew as well.

Of course, Piper and Rayne have to amp up the tension and angst, but they make up for it with a swoon worthy ending. They also left us with some breadcrumbs for the next book, and I for one cannot wait. " ~Cindy
