Unrequited #2

Misconception

Rate this book
I know rock stars. I grew up in the business, and now I make a living managing their tours. I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Lots and lots of ugly.

All that ugly is why I’ve sworn off dating rockers, but sleeping with them, well...I’ve been known to make the occasional exception.

One sultry night in Vegas, Mo Aronson, lead singer of Unrequited, becomes one of those exceptions. We dance, we connect, we... get married.

That wasn’t in the cards. And the positive pregnancy test a few weeks later really wasn’t in the cards.

Despite the shock, I think I can handle becoming a mom. What I’m not sure I can handle is the younger, bad boy rocker who won’t back down no matter how many times I push him away.

Another fantastic rockstar romance by Julia Wolf! This was not only a rockstar romance, but it was an age gap (Michaela is 34, Mo is 26) vegas wedding and surprise baby. All things I love in books! Moses was young, but he was a fantastic hero and really clicked with Mic. I love the grand gesture at the end. This one was so much fun and I truly enjoyed it.

Been waiting a long time for Julia Wolf's behind the scenes look at Mo Aronson, lead singer of the hot band, Unrequited and she didn't let me down! Lucky readers first met the mischievous young rocker in the book that began her Blue is the Color series, Times Like These, where he made quite an impression and not always for the best reasons! Mo spent alot of his spare time between shows making appearances in several of Julia's books, while doing his best to steal other musicians women! He has a reputation as a flirty, social butterfly- fun, sweet, intense and hot as hell...supposedly all grown up now, so has he changed his cocky ways???...debatable! Mo's charm is hard to resist and along with everyone else, he knows it!

So, how does Mo finds himself alone in a Las Vegas dive bar after a huge concert with the Blue boys? After an incident with an unbalanced fan, he needed some hassle free down time to unwind and now, a few drinks in, he's sharing the place with a fascinating woman he knows but somehow overlooked on tours in the past. Sharing a bond with Michaela turns this weird night around and he doesn't want to see it end. Once in a lifetime feelings, with a bit of liquid encouragement are swirling in the air and you know what they say about what happens in Vegas, baby!

Boy, oh boy, does Mo have another side that isn't on the outside world's radar. Everyone sees his stage persona, but not the real man behind it. What fun it was to see how Julia revealed bits and pieces of his big personality and heart to us. How loveable, but unsure of himself he was- not what you'd expect of a very eligible, sexy rock star who has people falling at his feet on any given night.

Beautiful, independent, take no $**t Michaela is not one of those silly fangirls. She's older, a little wiser and perhaps alot jaded. She's had plenty of experience with rockstars, but they are not welcome in her personal life. It's a recipe for disaster, so she makes it her mission to keep things professional, always.

Moses Aronson, determined to be in it to win it, is buckled up and winging it on the ride of his life, taken by surprise by the unplanned for and unexpected woman it seems he can't live without. Hearts may be cracked in the process, but hopefully not broken...can a forever love prevail in the end with a reluctant soulmate?

What a perfectly brilliant ending for Mo, the old soul with a young, tender heart. I knew Julia would somehow make me cry..she did.. taking him (and me!) on a winding and emotional journey to the finish, making me love this guy even more if that were possible. Whether you've has the pleasure of reading any of her other rockstar romances yet or not, make sure to jump on this one as soon as it releases. Mo and Michaela make some beautiful music together and their story will stay with you for a long while, just as it has with me!

What's next for the Unrequited crew? I hope a certain entertaining pair will fight their way into Julia's head so she'll write about them next!!!What a story that might be.

An early copy of this book was kindly given and this is my unbiased review of it.

There’s just something so special about Julia Wolf’s characters. Particularly her heroes. Each is so unique and they’re all so perfectly flawed making them real and bringing them to life in a way I can’t even begin to describe. When you combine that with romance that is like no other it makes for a book that will keep you up all night unable to put it down.
And I truly mean that. I did not put this book down one single time once I started reading it. Michaela and Mo were so captivating, their story so gripping, so emotional there was absolutely no way I was going to stop until there were no pages left. Mo was everything. Real, perfectly imperfect, sensitive, so loving, and utterly devoted to Michaela. Their story is one that will grab your heart and never let it go.

Mo is a sexy, sweet, egotistical young rockstar who is knocked off kilter by an unexpected encounter with Michaela. She is an independent, fiesty and guarded woman who learned the hard way what happens when you get involved with a rock star. But they are drawn to each other and in one crazy and intense night their world is changed forever. Can this connection last when real life crashes in? Michaela is a beautifully broken heroine that has to fight her fears and history to accept what could be. Mo has to step up to the plate and not rely on his charm but his heart to get what he wants. He is amazingly devoted and determined even when Michaela struggles to let him in. Their story is heartfelt, steamy, genuine and it will suck you in from page 1.

We met Mo in the Blue series as he was a young rocker, naive, sweet and building up his game. So to see this evolution of him into someone more comfortable in his skin, confident in his talents and blindsided by love is quite the journey. The determination and fight Mo discovers in himself is swoon-worthy. Michaela, though new, has a fleshed-out back story that doesn't feel heavy or distracting from the story. It is seamlessly woven into the fabric of their love. We are getting to know her deeper, just as MO is. We fall in love with her through his eyes as she has to learn how to love him back or push him away forever. We watch as the light of possibility dawns on her, in spite of Mo's flaws and misguided attempts, because he absolutely has them. That's another great thing about this book, they are both broken in their own way but those pieces fit when they figure out how to bend together. All of these pieces make their chemistry, connection and heat off the charts.

I also loved that Michaela is biracial. Yes Julia, bring on the color. She has a very eclectic background that adds spice and interest that more books need. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. I hope Yael gets a story next and I want to know what happened with her and Alex. I'm glad we got updates on other characters like Talia, Santi and Maeve. I can't wait for the rest of this series.

One of my most favorite parts of a Julia book are the lyrics. Yes lord the love is set to music, hear the choir sing! I love seeing a different part of the characters, story and development encapsulated in a song!! I spent a good chunk of time thinking of who I think would be a good IRL artists to bring these lyrics to life. That is how invested I was in these characters. As a reader, I cared about them. I wanted them to make it. I was rooting for them, and that is the hallmark of a great story. Great job Julia!!

I was provided with an ARC for my honest review.

I honestly couldn’t put this book down. I had every intention of making this book last me a week but read it in a day. I love how Mo wasn’t your typical bad ass rockstar and I can relate with Mic on so many levels. This book lifted my heart and dropped it in the next chapter. Highly recommended, another great book from a fantastic author!

I loved Mo from the moment he appeared in Times Like These so I was really excited when this got announced
Twist and turns but it was amazing!
Michaela is a bad ass and Mo is a big softy
I love the relationship between Yael and Mo and Mic and Ansel
I loved little Jason’s monologues, made me laugh but I’ve heard many of this monologues over the years and heard so many stories
Brilliantly written and I can’t wait for the next one!

4.5 Stars!!!

This is my first book by Julia and I will say that I absolutely loved it! Once I started the story I found it hard to put it down! Mo is a well known rock star that the world knows and love but there is more to him than meets the eye. Mo has a big heart, he loves hard, but he is also unsure of himself. Then their is Michaela, she grew up around the music industry and is not interest in a relationship with a rock star. Michaela's job has taken a priority in her life, she has worked hard to get where she is. Michaela has some pretty big walls up that Mo has to work on breaking. The development of their love story was fantastic. The story takes you on a perfect emotional journey. They had to work to get to know each other and figure out what the other person needed and in the process they built a beautiful love story. The supporting characters was great. This book is a must read!

Misconception, the 2nd book in the Unrequited series, was my 2nd Julia Wolf novel and I enjoyed it. This story included surprise baby, younger man /older woman and rockstar romance tropes all into one engrossing read.
Mo and Michaela were two fascinating characters who were both likable and relatable and you will be invested in their story. Mo was genuinely honest and loveable and Micheala was the tough tour manager who was older and more jaded. These two had a few hurdles to work out before their HEA ending and you will be hooked from beginning to end rooting for them. Filled with lots of emotions, witty back and forth banter and steamy scenes this was a good read and I would recommend it to all lovers of age gap romances.

What a whirlwind! I wasn’t sure that I was going to survive this book because these two characters and their story swept me away and put me through an array of emotions! Rockstar romances are perhaps my favorite trope and one of the things that I absolutely love about this author is her ability to create a captivating read complete with an original storyline and unique characters who are perfectly imperfect, relatable, and full of depth. As such, each book is an engaging adventure that never leaves the reader bored.

First off, let’s talk about Mo because my heart beats for this man. Oh my sweet Moses, that hot lead singer and notorious flirt has a romantic and vulnerable side to him that I wasn’t expecting. Seriously, I adored this scrumptious rocker for all of his charisma, but I was also swooning for the gentler side of him as well. I really liked Michaela as a heroine. She is fiercely independent, hard working, and quite jaded due to some past experiences - something that I think many can identify with. It took me a little longer to connect with her character, but this strong heroine grew on me and I love how she was able to see beyond Mo’s huge stage persona.

Mo and Michaela may seem like an unlikely pair at first, but they work so well together. Their souls recognized each other with such a ferocious intensity that it was no wonder these two set my kindle aflame. Still, no relationship is easy as mistakes, miscommunications, and personal hangups greatly impacted their journey. Yet, in the end, we all want to find love and our “burrow”.

Misconception is a remarkably written, older woman-younger man romance that is sure to capture your heart and make you feel. You’ll be laughing & crying along with shaking your head & swooning during this enchanting read. This is definitely a book that you won’t want to miss out on!

I read an early and complimentary version of this novel. All thoughts are entirely my own.

Julia Wolf’s latest novel Misconception (second book of the Unrequited series) is absolutely brilliant!! Each of her ‘rock star’ books continue to get better and better.

My warning to you all – make sure you don’t have any plans when you start reading this story as they won’t happen. This book starts with one of THE BEST opening sentences ever – IMHO, but I might have issues – it grabbed my attention and wouldn’t let go. I devoured this book in hours because I couldn’t put it down.

This second novel revolves around Unrequited’s lead singer, Mo (Moses) and spunky heroine, Michaela. I thought I knew what to expect from Mo’s story, but I was wrong. Mo has depth. He is so sensitive and caring, very mature for his age (yes, he does the odd stupid thing – but who doesn’t?) and don’t forget, he’s a bit of a stud. In short, he isn’t the baby rocker Mo we thought he was. Michaela is a strong, feisty and stubborn woman but due to her past seems emotionally stunted (girl, I wanted to slap you so many times!!). Their differences and miscommunication cause a roller coaster of emotions that will keep you enthralled until the end, all with a music industry backdrop. I can’t wait for the next Unrequited novel.

This book is a stand alone but to get the full experience I would definitely recommend reading Julia Wolf’s other ‘rock star’ novels prior.

I love this band!!! Misconception is the 2nd book about the band, Unrequited. Mo and Michaela met on a previous tour and happen to reconnect one night in Vegas. That night changes everything!

Michaela is another bad-ass heroine from Julia Wolf. She’s strong, independent and doesn’t put up with anything from anyone. However, she’s also been hurt in the past and she tries to hold Mo at an arm’s length so she does not get hurt again. I just wanted her to let her guard down and let him in although I could understand her frustration with him at times. Underneath everything, Michaela wanted a home and I loved how Mo showed her he could be her home. I also loved her family. They were awesome!!

Mo was all in with Michaela from the moment they reconnected. He went from rockstar playboy to completely in love within the blink of an eye and it didn’t faze him a bit. I loved that. He did have to grow up a bit and think about how his lifestyle affected others. I appreciated that growth.

Mo and Michaela’s story was unexpected and perfect. There were so many twists and turns that I didn’t expect and I loved each and every one. The epilogue was amazing and I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I really want to know the story behind Yael and Murray!!!

Misconception is book 2 in Julia Wolf's Unrequited series! It follows Mo Aronson whom we met way back in Julia's book Times Like These. You remember little Mo? Always hitting on Dalia? Well Mo is all grown up and life is about to take hold!

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Unless you're Mo and Michaela. In that case your decisions are going to lead to a few bumps in the road 😉

Mo deserved an epic tale and Misconception delivers. Michaela is the perfect heroine for Mo. Their chemistry sizzles early on and you can't help but fall in love with them. You'll laugh, blush and maybe even tear up. You may toss your Kindle across the room 🤷‍♀️ But the ride that is Misconception is wonderful and satisfying. Can't wait to see what's in store for Murray! ❤️

Oh, Mo. I’ve been waiting for his story since I first met him back in the Blue is the Color series, and believe me, Julia did NOT disappoint! Mo is living the rock star life, but he’s craving more, even if he isn’t ready to settle down just yet. But then, he meets up with a familiar face in an unlikely place and everything becomes crystal clear to him. Michaela soothes his soul and tastes just like forever. The only problem is that she’s not about to get burned again. Michaela has worked long and hard for her reputation and the respect of roadies and local stage hands alike, and she’s had time to build some serious walls (complete with moats and alligators) around her gentle heart. She’s not sure if Mo is for real, and she’s definitely afraid of letting herself believe that everything with him could be her perfect forever. So she pulls a dude move and doesn’t communicate for a while. And then when she does, her heart gets shattered. Unfortunately, Michaela is forced to reach out to the man who destroyed her soon enough. All because she may need Mo in some way for a while, if he’s of a mind to want that. There were plenty of miscommunications and hurts between Michaela and Mo, mainly due to Michaela’s prickly heart and soul, but they finally find a way to make everything right. And what a beautiful right it is. Mo proved that he’s grown and matured so much since hitting on Nick’s girl, and he’s not willing to be the idiot who loses his forever over something so stupid as knee-jerk reactions or perceptions. As for Michaela, she finds that all she truly needed was a rock star unlike any other to make her believe in everything true. I adored this story and have come to love this series just as much as the other works from Julia’s mind. I loved catching up with some past favorite characters and can’t wait to see who’s life is changed for the better, or how much angst and misery they cause for themselves, next!

Recieved ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Lead singer of rock band Unrequited, Moses and Michaelas story. A spontaneous las Vegas wedding followed by a big misunderstanding and finally an unexpected pregnancy are the start of Moses and Mickeys story. Both of them have deep emotional scars from their childhoods, and after they straighten out the misunderstanding they're both determined to make their marriage work. It doesn't always seem like that's what they both want, especially Mickey. They learn that communication is the key, they learn from their mistakes, marriage isnt always easy but their love always pulls them back together.
Really enjoyed this book, although at times I wanted to shake Mickey because I thought she was acting childish but by the end if the book I understood why she behaved the way she did. And Moses, what can I say? A rockstar with a romantic heart.

Oh, Mo, how you have grown. When we first met you in Times Like These, you were just the flirty frontman for Unrequited on that summer tour. We saw you flirt with Dalia and annoy Nick. But then again, Nick is easily annoyed, but I digress. You have continued to pop-up in the Blue is the Color series, then in the Neverlasting Duet, and now in your series. It has been amazing to see the man you have become.

Mo, you are one tender-hearted, sensitive guy. You meet up with Michela in Vegas, and it's the right time and the right person. Unfortunately, what ensues is crossed communication and a bit of bad timing. But you persevere in the face of some obstacles to get to your girl only to get a super surprise.

What left us all slightly wobbly with the feels was how you worked so hard to do the right thing by Michaela, again with the misunderstandings. But you admitted when you were wrong and stuck in there when Michaela wanted nothing more than to run the other way. And she could be prickly. Plus, you were feeling the effects of stardom, and it's not-so-shiny bits. It can be shallow, and what we have discovered, Mo is there's a lot more to you than we ever knew before.

It's been fun watching you grow from the semi-stoned young lead singer to a man who loves his girl and wants to do right by her in all ways, even if it took an off-the-hook night in Vegas to get there. By the way, you both have great taste in music.

I will not be able to proper articulate how amazing this book is. Julia has this incredible talent of making you feel everything. Each word hits the deepest part of your soul. I know whenever I start one of her books I have to do it when I have enough time because once I start I can’t put it down.
Mo and Mic’s journey is imperfectly perfect. I appreciate Julia’s ability to dive deep into the characters and make their story so life like. It’s just real.
From the first page to the last I was hooked. I loved the banter between the Mo and Michaela. Their road wasn’t a easy one but they learned to navigate it together. The twists and turns along the way will leave your heart aching and keep you wondering what’s in store for them next.
Definitely a MUST read! Do not miss out!

This is another amazing read by Julia that will set your emotions in overdrive. I’ve loved Mo for what feels like forever and couldn’t wait for his story. Mo and Michaela start their romance unconventionally and while fires ignite, you just cannot escape true love. From the characters to the storyline you cannot help but fall in love with everything in this book. Another must read and I cannot wait to see what she writes next.

Ahhhh....!!!! I feel like I just got off a major rollercoaster ride with Mo and Michaela's story. Up and down went my emotions. I had to stop multiple times to gather my thoughts and calm my racing heart. The chemistry these two have were amazing. They are imperfectly perfect for each other. I never wanted their story to end!

Misconception is an apt title for this book as the main characters have to get past their misconceptions about each other as they deal with their “misconception”. I couldn’t wait for Mo’s story and it exceeded expectations. Michaela and Mo seem like an unlikely pair but they both have hidden depths that are revealed throughout the book. I loved the development of their relationship, the humor and the heartache. Although this book can be read as a stand-alone, I would highly recommend reading the Blue is the Color series as well the Never Blue duet and Unrequited. Mo and Michaela appear throughout, which makes this book even more fun to read, plus they are all really good too!

As a fan of rockstar romances I can never get enough of them and from the moment I started this book I knew it would be a winner...and my oh my it was delightful! From its delicious hero to the larger than life heroine, this was a well-paced story with a charming storyline that warmed my heart. By the turn of the final page I was left with a permanent smile on my face and a hope that we'll get another glimpse of this couple in the future.

Moses Aronson has made appearances in previous books and shown himself to be a young, cocky, arrogant rockstar with the world at his feet. He was an unrepentant ladies man, even the ladies of men he knew, and flitted from one woman to the next. The rockstar readers see here though is a more mature one, a more contemplative one who's starting to resent all the superficiality. After an uncomfortable experience with a groupie he ends up at a dive bar where he meets a woman who will change everything that readers thought they knew about Mo and about what he thought he had to offer the world. To the outside world he seems to have it all, seems content, but behind the facade is a man full of uncertainties, a man who just wants honesty. The moment he meets Michaela, a tour manager who was part of a past tour of his, sparks fly and readers get introduced to a different side of Mo that had me falling even further in love with him. He finds an instant connection with Michaela, one he doesn't want to end as it's based on truth. With her readers see a man who's uncertain of himself but willing to put himself on the line to make one night into forever. With each caring and loving word and deed Mo pulled at my heartstrings. He's not a perfect man by any means, but he tries to always do right by Michaela. I loved watching them grow closer together, loved watching a different side to him emerge, and they ended up making beautiful music together in a journey that I never wanted to see end.

Michaela's a strong-willed woman full of sass, with a bruised heart she keeps hidden behind a heavily erected wall. One night at a dive bar though sees that wall slowly crumbling in a journey full of intense emotions, heartfelt discoveries, and a life-altering event that kept me glued to the pages. Michaela's a modern biracial heroine who takes no guff, is proud of the heights she's reached in her career, and refuses to jeopardize that for some rockstar. Mo quickly shows that he's not your typical rockstar though in a night that binds them together with ties that strengthen with each turn of the page. Her painful past with an ex further intrudes on their journey to HEA and has her doubting him when he's done nothing to earn her distrust. There were times that she frustrated me, put Mo through the wringer because of her own doubts and fears. Despite those moments of frustration I loved these two together, was glued to their journey and the love that grew between them that warmed my heart.

I was captivated from the very start of this book, thoroughly caught up in the web of emotions this eclectic couple generated, pulled along and soaking up all the warm fuzzies along the way to HEA. It was a slow burn romance with a couple that truly had to work to find their HEA, but it was a HEA that was well-worth all the struggles. Alongside this unforgettable pair was an equally likable cast of secondary characters with Mo's sister Yael the one character I'm most dying to know more about. I loved the caring and supportive connection between the siblings, a connection that hinted at a softer side to the seemingly self-assured rockstar. With each turn of the page I became more and more invested in this couple and by the end I felt like I had just been hugged, courtesy of Mo's big heart that he unleashed throughout this satisfying story.

She is 34 tour management and he is 26 rock star

Safety: totally safe imo
They meet two years ago and neither were celibate after meeting. She was working on his tour and he was living his rock star life but she didn’t give a shit cause she never mixes work with pleasure and didn’t even notice him while she had a small crush on her.
After they meet again they are only with each other, he refuses to sign the divorce papers and said more than once about not wanting anyone besides her calling her his wife even though she tell him they are friends

Ow drama: a woman he hooked up with before the h is rude to her but that was dealt quickly like one page
Om drama: he is jealous of her ex husband

He was a player before her but she admitted that when she was younger she played around quite a bit too. They met each other two years ago when she worked with his band and although he had a little crush on her he still fucked around back then but there was no problem because she didn’t even noticed him. She is very professional so she never gets involved with people she is working with. Although she is no longer living her wildest days when they meet again at a bar in Las Vegas she was flirting with the barman and was totally going to have a ONS. I fucking love it because authors tend to write celibate heroines or women who never had good sex before meeting the young hero who is much more experienced and the only man capable of giving her an orgasm. We definitely don’t have this here.

Another thing the time loved about this book is the fact that she was married before. Her husband was a rock stars and cheated on her and although she forgave it a few times she didn’t strike me as a weak woman because she had awful exemples at home (her parents are cheaters) and she was only 22 back then. Anyway, she reached her breaking point and ended things with the asshole. I usually don’t like when heroine’s ex is a cheater but this was nice because add to the plot of this story. I liked it because she was truly more experienced than the hero, she is the one who already loved somebody else while he had never felt that before, so she is the one carrying more baggage.

I liked how Julia Wolf wrote about a black woman and a write man but didn’t make a big deal about it. It was natural, what should always be not only in fiction but in reality.
Heroine also doesn’t slut shame, she never once said something about groupies being whores or shit like that. She didn’t judge the hero past either although she is insecure about it which is totally comprehensible based on how her ex is a fucked up cheater.

HE IS THE ONE PINNING AFFER HER DURING THE WHOLE BOOK I love it

I saw a few people criticizing the heroine because she pushed him away and didn’t forgive him or went flying to his arm whenever he was cute and cmon guys she has every fucking right to be cautious, she is totally correct when it comes to try to protect herself. Whenever she was a dick to him (they use that expression) she would apologized right after so I don’t get it because many readers fall head over heals for asshole heroes but when heroines is not a pathetic blushing mess when hero makes something nice, when she is a smart woman who actually consider what is best for her she is being to harsh? Give me a fucking break

Seeing him falling in love first, being insecure about her never returning his feelings and refusing to sign the divorce papers was amazing I love it when the man has to work for his woman.

I gave it 4 stars because I wanted a complete scene showing their Vegas weeding and a epilogue with them a few years after down the road

In book two of her Unrequited series, Misconception, Julia Wolf brings a younger man, older woman romance that breaks down the barriers of age for a heartfelt story of love and self discovery1

Gregarious and good-natured it really was easy to underestimate Mo Aronson lead singer of Unrequited. This story really was his coming of age, his transition into his potential. No one is perfect and this work was littered with Mo's imperfections but correspondingly it was full of Michaela's flaws too. Their age difference definitely was a factor in the inequality of tolerance but more so for their learning curve, but out of the moments of genuine intimacy and stripped of preconceived notions emerged a touching love story.

This couple's special connection came through loud and clear on repeat throughout this work. Insecurities, miscommunication, hormones and fear of past histories tainting their futures kept this work on high emotions and provided a steady stream of obstacles. Mo remarkably was not a flight risk or resigned to be flaky, he acknowledged his mistakes, took ownership and was better for it. As a hero he was really a diamond in the rough and in the end a priceless find. Behind Michaela's shield of her self-sufficient persona and distinguished career reputation was a woman waiting for the opportunity to break through her doubts and take a chance at true happiness. Knowing love in nontraditional ways made Michaela's ability to see into her heart and ultimately not walk away from a relationship with Mo a strength. How this couple handled their differences and worked on resolving their mistakes made this story impressive but more importantly approachable

Julia Wolf continues to present sensitive and personal stories with her warm and intuitive writing. This author goes to places that we can all feel as she breaks her characters down into familiar territory. Misconception brings a love story full of hope and shows the power of love for a wonderful read!

Misconception isn't an exception when it comes to pulling you in and not letting you go until the story is complete. Even then I still can't stop thinking about these two characters! I love that this author shows a different side to rock stars and people that work in the music business.

Mo is a character we've met before in the Blue is the Color series. He was a young one, but I always thought he was funny! Mo has a complicated relationship with his parents, but he's found his own family in his band and Yael (his sister). I liked Mo even if he was a bit wild. He clearly hadn't grown out of his wild ways, but part of him was ready to settle down. Mo made me laugh and I loved how protective he was of the people he loves. I liked that you saw him grow though, because his life was going to change and he wasn't prepared yet.

Michaela is another really interesting character. Once again, her childhood wasn't always easy with parents and their relationship drama. She handled it though, even if a marriage ending badly made her doubt ever being in one again. Just like Mo, Michaela had stuff to figure out. Not only having your life flipped upside down, but letting down the walls and letting herself feel. She's an independent woman that's made her way in the music business and is very proud of what she's accomplished.

Mo and Michaela's story was an emotional roller coaster with so many up and downs. Surprises they weren't ready for, feelings being stronger than ever expected and a lot of miscommunication. I think that's the biggest message in the book. Communication is so important in a relationship. They learned as they were going and I loved how much they both cared about the baby they were bringing in the world. The romance between these two was sweet, messy, loving, sexy and swoonworthy at times. Sometimes I did think things took a little long before they were settled and their drama went on just a bit too long. I would've loved a little more of them welcoming the baby and how the first few weeks went.

All in all, this was an amazing romance and Julia Wolf really did it again. Besides an amazing romance, we always get an amazing cast of side characters. Besides a few new ones, we get to see characters from previous books and I love seeing how the characters I've come to love are doing. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Please keep breaking my heart!!!

Don’t you just love it when you’re favorite author and rock star go out of their way to break your heart?

I’m so chocked up, I had to stop reading just to come here and complain.

First of all, the baby rocker tweep is all grown up and in the most exquisite way. Despite the fame and the groupies he’s not totally ruined.

Then he falls head over heels in love with someone else and not me.

I’m gutted, overwhelmed, confused, messed up and feeling all sorts of things, but most of all I’m in love. The cuteness overload is making my head spin and I’m swooning so hard I can’t describe it. Wow, just wow this rocker is everything you ever would want in a husband. Even his anger is a turn on.

Of course I don’t handle it well, and being all kind of crazy stalker bitch I will unleash my fury till I get my way with him.

Don’t mind me ruining his love life, future or anything.

Sorry for being so difficult. I’m regretful and taking it all back. Mic is a mess but in all honesty she’s the perfect woman for our boy. I love her being so hard working and badass, making grown men cry. Totally organized at work and so messy at home.

She’s not easily swayed but when she finally gets around to it she’s making me cry all the happy tears of the world. I’m a goner and will lay in bed wailing till the next book arrives.

LOVED Moses and Mic's story! I've been waiting for this one and this author does not disappoint. SO MUCH ANGST! Like angst on steroids. For once I was yelling at the heroine to get her head out of her a$%! Moses is such a sweetheart. Mic is as stubborn as they come. I get where they are coming from, when you have an 'unconventional' upbringing, what seems normal to most people feels like a challenge. Throw a baby into the mix and it can all get crazy, but these two just need to get on the same page. Its like maybe they are on the same page but they are not speaking the same language? Without proper communication I couldn't see a happy ending for these two. I felt like it was Mic dropping the ball for the most part though. They sizzled right off the page though and still I felt there was still a good amount of cuteness and charm mixed in. I can't wait for more from this author!
