For a novel with exclusively four and five-star reviews, I was unexpectedly disappointed with this novel by Melody Archer. At first, my disappointment was due to a multitude of distracting editing errors. I had decided to award four-stars for this work until I reached the final concluding scenes where the story became unbelievable. [SPOILER ALERT] Our heroine is kidnapped from Washington State and is transported to Texas by a kidnapper who changes cars multiple times to avoid detection. They arrive at an abandoned farmhouse and she is taken to the basement. There, she is tied to a chair with ropes and handcuffs. Just before the kidnapper departs, the heroine is told that the farmhouse is rigged with explosives that are timed to detonate in thirty minutes. Although the heroine, like Houdini, gets out of the handcuffs, she is unable to get out of the ropes. With two minutes to spare, our hero comes bounding down the stairs, cuts the ropes, and gets her out of the house just before the explosion creates a rubble pile out of the house. UNBELIEVABLE! Three-Stars!

I read the first three and looked forward to the fourth. Then, I began to notice where it seemed that the H's fears, thoughts and triggers were pretty much the same in all the books. Close enough that it appeared cut and pasted with only the names changed. The stories if read completely separately, as in months or years apart, might not have been soooo similar. I am very disappointed in that aspect.

Before all the similarities hit me, I had noticed grammar and syntax errors. Sentences with her/she used improperly. Spellings incorrect. Similarly spelled words used in wrong context. Sentences with words or phrases missing. Badly needed editing.

Then the similarities. All four men felt very severe guilt over their fathers' death, the oldest child at his death was 14 y/o. They were each eaten up with guilt about injuries/death of others, that were really unrelated to them (ADDED ANGST??)

Not very interesting

Same storyline over and over again in all the 4 books...
Basically all that seemed to change was the names of the characters.

Razelle and Luke’s story

Of the four in the five part series so far, this one has been the best in my opinion.
Again, many grammatical errors were found within the reading. Two errors that come to mind were found in an early chapter and towards the end of the book. There was a misspelled word that was supposed to be “walked” but was typed as “waked.” Also needed was a comma for a noun in address towards the last or last chapter in the book when Razelle was speaking to her husband.
I don’t know who proofreads this particular author’s writing, but they should be no longer doing it. Note that unless the high school was actually named High School, it is a common noun.
As for the storyline, it was better than the first three books.
Razelle, at age twenty-one, was treated like an unwanted stepchild by her Mother (Again, the word mother, this is another common noun unless used as a noun in address or title such as Mother Superior.) Razelle is extremely kind hearted and doesn’t deserve the grief from her wicked mother who treated her like a slave.
Entered billionaire Luke to the rescue for his own selfish reason to gain land and a cabin from his dead great grandfather. Though he had experienced first hand some tragic life lessons and found it difficult to love again, he proposed to Razelle a marriage of convenience for a year. He also would give her a million dollars at the end of that year to use as she desired.
Luke and Razelle were both alike in many ways. From a background standpoint, they were very different. They both found out that Luke’s good friend ends up really being his wife’s brother.
But this is where you will have to read the book for yourself to see how that story unfolded. It was well worth the read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

While this is a part of a series of brothers, you don't have to read the prior ones to understand and enjoy this story.

This is written in a dual POV format. Getting that glimpse into the main characters' thoughts really help me to better connect with them. It makes for a more enjoyable read for me.

Luke and all of his brothers must marry before their 27th birthday to inherit from their great grandfather estate. This is Luke's story. He meets Razelle at a coffee shop that she runs with her very strict mother. Razelle is best friends with one of his brother's wives. Luke developed a stutter when his father passed years ago and has struggled to over come it. As Luke has met Raz before, he doesn't stutter much in the presence of the young beauty.

Luke proposes a marriage of convenience to Razelle. In return of a one year marriage, Luke will gift Razelle with a million dollars. That will ensure Raz will never have to be under her mother's control again.

Through strange and twisting set of circumstances, the author, completely surprised me almost at the end of the story.

This is a completely sweet, clean romance. Can these two young people get through a set of hurdles to get to get to their HEA? Or will they part at the end of the year?

Luke needed to get married to inherit his grandpa’s farm. He started talking to her after her friend couldn’t find her because she was helping her with the kids at camp. So Luke and his friend went there to see if the young man they were taking care of was who they thought it was. Then he told Razelle his proposal for one to get him his farm and two to get her away from her mom and she accepted it. They got married and went on a honeymoon vacation to see her “grandmere”. Luke had problems with trustIng on who he loves but one night they went camping with his friends and a song they were singing she never knew but she was singing it and the only ones that knew that song were her mother and her and her twin brother. They saved the girls from that camp by the river and then reported her mom for kidnapping her. But she came back and took her again and tyed her to a chair and attached a bomb to her but she was saved just in time! Luke and her got their happy ending but it was touch and go for awhile. Guess I can admit cried a few tears! New author I thought to try and will get more of her books!

Raz’s mother was truly awful working her long hours in her restaurant, locking her up, hitting her, and putting her down all the time. Luke has to marry to obtain his grandfather’s inheritance so he decides that the sweet girl, who is so selfless helping the homeless teens while dealing with her mother would be the perfect one to offer a marriage in name only to. She helps him out and he helps her by getting her out of her situation and financially by paying her to marry him. Raz and Luke have both suffered and think they aren’t worthy of love. Like Rapunzel she has long hair, although no one uses it to climb a tower or for magical powers, but she is often locked away by a crazy controlling mother. I loved reading about their honeymoon in Tahiti. The room with the glass bottom where you can see the fish swimming by sounds amazing. Her grandmother on the island was so sweet and quite the romantic. Secrets are revealed and there were some suspenseful moments in the book dealing with bad guys in many forms.

Luke needs to be married by the time he is 27 if he wishes to inherit his grandfather's ranch. He decides to do what his older brothers did and make a marriage of convenience, knowing that his marriage won't turn into the real thing that his brothers's marriages did. Raz works in her mother's cafe, but in-spite of being 21, she is totally controlled by her mother. He mother doesn't know that Raz sneaks out at night to help teenagers in a slum camp, but that secret is revealed when she arrives back late after helping Luke rescue a friend from the camp.

Luke decides to offer Raz a marriage of convenience with them staying married for a year. The marriage helps Raz escape from her mother, but can this relationship become real with both of them feeling that they don't deserve to be loved.

This book is part of a series but it reads fine as a standalone.

This is the story of Razelle and Luke. Razelle wants to desperately get away from her selfish and abusive mother and gain her freedom. So she sneaks out at night to help homeless teens living nearby. That is where she meets Luke. Luke needs to find a wife in five weeks to gain his inheritance, so he offers her marriage in name only and she accepts. Both Luke and Razelle Have experienced their own pain and hardship and both need to heal. Maybe, they can be each other's balm. This was a very sweet story which had my interest from the very beginning. With some plot twists and suspense along the way, it was a very entertaining and enjoyable book. This is a great series and I'm looking forward to reading the next book!

The Billionaire's Marriage Barter is the fourth book in the Clean Billionaire Fake Marriage Romance Series and is a sweet romance.

I loved this story about the fake marriage between Luke and Razelle. The characters are well developed, caring and loving. The storyline is well written and engaged my interest from start to finish. There is a fake marriage, secrets, danger, suspense, and a chance for real love.

I cannot wait to read more stories in this wonderful series.

There are very many grammatical errors. If you have read one book of the series, you've pretty much read them all. Just change the names and voila, it's done.

I really liked this story. There was a lot packed into it. I was completely blindsided at times! I did feel like the two most crucial scenes of the book were a bit rushed, but, it was still good. I can’t wait for more of this series!

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Good story but I had it figured out early what was going to happen. It contained many errors as did the previous books in the series which I found distracting. The plot between all the books of their fathers death & all of them feeling guilty was written exactly the same in all 4 books. But I liked the characters & stories of these books.

He is not a spoiled rich kid. He has had to work hard, develop his own company and keep it going. She
Had a hard life being a waitress a cook a clean up person and lived above her moms small restaurant with her mother. She was now 21. She longed to be with friends and help those in need. Both scenarios change and secrets come out

You need better Beta readers

If I can hold the image of Razzle's "auburn" hair, certainly you could have remembered it too or your beta readers could have caught the error. It really rattled me when the hair color was changed to brown. It was fairly decent read until the last chapter or two. That's when the hair color changed and the feeling of the ending being rushed.

Interesting story

This was a very interesting but in a lot of cases dad story. There were things I sure didn't see coming. I don't want to give the story line away but I do recommend the book.

A reasonable read, a few mistakes changing Raz’s hair from red to brown towards the end. Mostly the end was rushed to fit in a wedding should have spent more time on what happened to her ‘mother’ to much haste not enough detail.
Will try another though.

A great storyline!

I loved the storyline in this book, but three times I found word for word the same paragraph from one of the other books in this series. It was still a very good story and I loved the outcome right up to the end!

Great book!

This is a very heartwarming story. Raz and Luke both have problems from their past that have affected their heart. They have built walls around their hearts. There is a twist to this story that I did not see coming. I very much enjoyed this book.

wonderful

Intrigue and surprises. I was on the edge of my seat for a good portion of this book. Would the danger continue? Would the love happen? Would they even spend time together? This book is different from the
first three. Enjoy, it moves quickly.

Good Story

Except there are almost exact lines in this book from the previous book! I have never seen this done in a book before, it is such a disappointment! The shopping scene in both books are exactly the same!
