Codependency No More: How to Cure Codependency, Start to Love Yourself and Fight for No More Codependent Relationship Ever

Rate this book
More often than not, people have a hard time maintaining healthy relationships. Can you tell the difference between addiction and love?

If you have the same question in mind, then this book is the perfect choice for you because it will answer your question with proper explanations.

In the case of codependents, their affection and love come from a place of fear of abandonment or rejection, and this is mainly because they faced a neglected childhood.

They face endless and complex situations in their relationships, but even if they have the intention of forming true human bonds, their insecure selves get the better of them.
........................................Are you suffering from a similar situation? ......................................... Do you think you are suffering from resentment, internalized shame, and guilt?

All of these can be pretty difficult feelings to manage on your own, and this book has mentioned a step-by-step approach to recovering from the state of codependency.

Here is a summarized version of all the key points that were mentioned in this

Signs that denote codependency

Form appropriate connections and let go of repressed resentment

Loving yourself and prioritizing your needs

Steps to recovery

Building strong relationships with the right amount of autonomy and intimacy

Even if you don't have a basic idea of what codependency is, don't worry because this book will give you the introduction you need and then explain everything in the simplest way possible.

Codependency is a vast subject with abundant material produced on every aspect of it like low self-esteem, dysfunctional boundaries, otherization of identity, denial, martyrdom syndrome, nice guyness, soft target for malignant narcissists, pathological loneliness and it’s core I.e. toxic shame and childhood traumas. This book offers a good summary for those who are well read on the subject and a good introduction for beginners. If you want to explore length and breadth of the subject, “Codependency for Dummies” is the most exhaustive book. Two other books which are original in knowledge and techniques are “codependent no more by melody Beattie and Facing Codependence by Pia Melody which are par excellence.
Anyhow it’s a good handbook for revision of subject.

Good read

You can use this for yourself or to better understand others. It really helped me Bc I realized I had an anxious attachment style and it hurt my relationships. It all stemmed from childhood and it gives you steps to strengthen yourself and have better relationships going forward.

This book is a fascinating introduction to the topic of codependency. A very quick read, it provides valuable information on identifying whether you or a loved one is codependent. Next step is to find a book which helps with identifying where to start in regaining self worth, self intimacy and autonomy.
