Blinded at the age of 2, Peter Young embarked on a life of debauchery, until he stood on skis for the first time. After that he was hooked and decided to dedicate his life to becoming the best in the world. A man made in Londons East End, from working class roots started an incredible journey against unimaginable odds to become Britains highest awarded winter athlete of his generation, and of all time. Learning his trade in Norway, then challenging the world. Blind Winter sport, once never considered, was brought firmly to the forefront of the public eye, by a man who fought against injury and illness to become the inspiration behind the Winter athletes of today. He proved if the will is strong, there is a way. They say the Norwegians are born with skis on their feet. That is until they met Britain’s Peter Young.
