ML Nystrom had stories in her head since she was a child. All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured her interest. A voracious reader, she’s spent many hours devouring books; therefore, she found it only fitting she should write a few herself!

ML has spent most of her life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn’t mean she’s pigeon-holed into one mold. She’s been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else she felt like exploring. As one of her students said to her once, "Life’s too short to ignore the opportunities." She has no intention of ever stopping... so welcome to her story world. She hopes you enjoy it!

Another new-to-me author in 2020 that has blown it out of the water for me!!

Run With It was an amazing slow-burn story very true to life. I’m not a single mother, but I’m very familiar with the plight and I can tell you with great certainty that this book is relatable and believable with an outstanding H/h combination. Both strong characters in a well-defined story that just blew my heart away. I loved the kids, Connor, Beverly and every single moment of their journey. It made smile and laugh, and it was just full of hope. It is a perfect *happy sigh* romance fiction story! I am super excited to read more from this author soon!!

Connor and Bev neighbors.
I love the kids. They are fun and a really big part of the books.
Conner with the kids just makes it easier to fall in love with him.
Can't wait to see what the other brothers fall in love.

Awesome start of a new series!

I was so happy to see a series for the MacAteer brothers and Connor was a good one to start with. He's the hot handyman I wish I could find for myself and I have a total girl crush on Beverly. She's a prefect combination of sweet and loving while having the grit to handle four kids and a douchebag ex.

Really good

I loved the Dragon Runners series and this a really wonderful spin off series to it. Great characters, fun plot and just a really sweet read. Conner deserved a book of his own.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This NEW series from Nystrom is a spin off from the Dragon Runners series. You don't need to have read THOSE books for this one to make sense, indeed, I've only read book one and half of book 2. I didn't much care for those books, and I have no idea why.
This one, however, is a whole nother story!
I really REALLY enjoyed this! I was surprised I enjoyed it so much, since I didn't care for the Dragon Runners, and I cannot tell you why, either!
Bev has her say in the first person, and Connor in the third. Different, but quirky and I liked it! Wasn't sure Connor would get a voice, but he does.
The chemistry builds for these two, right from the start, but its way WAY late in the book that they finally get any time together, what with Connor's work, and Bev's kids and dealing with a shitty ex and his new partner. I liked that it took time for them to come together. They do bandy about the L word early, to themselves at least and I didn't like that very much but it didn't spoil my reading.
Connor's builder family are in one of the Dragon Runners books, as they rebuild the Clubhouse/Bar (I forget which, and I didn't read Connor's sister's book, Stud, book 2) There is quite a lot of hints to the tension between Connor and some of his siblings, but the ones who turn up here are close to Connor. Bev's family are almost non-existent!
I had to laugh at Bev's friend, signing her up for a dating app, cos been there, done that and got the bloody t-shirt! I felt for Bev, on those dates, I really did!
I really cannot tell you why the Dragon Runners didn't work for me, and this one did, but I really don't care. I hope I can read the future books about these brothers, I have a feeling they will be fun to read about.
4 very VERY good stars

Run with It by ML Nystrom is the first book of A McAteer Brothers book series. I've read every single book of Dragon Runner MC Series by this author, from Mute to Brick and I must say, she is one of my favorite authors. I totally enjoyed every single book.

Now, after reading Run With It, I cant wait to read the next books in the series. Ms Mystrom has a way of gripping the reader from the first page till the last. This book is particularly close to my heart where she tells the story of a single mother Beverly Archer who is struggling to make the ends meet and be there for her kids all by herself. Connor McAteer is the neighbor who is always there for Beverly and her four children in every way.

It takes really long time for the both of them to look past their friendship and realize their love for each other, but, in the end, they have their happily ever after. The female leads are strong and independent in Nystrom's novels and the male leads definitely hold a special place in my heart. The way they treat their women brings tears to my eyes. They never leave the hand of their love and family, no matter what.

Being a single mother myself, I know what it is like to raise a child all by yourselves, meeting the financial needs and emotional needs of the kids. I loved the dedication in the beginning from the author and I fell in love with her all over again. Its a beautiful book.

OMG! Move over book boyfriends, Connor MacAteer has arrived!

Run with It is the first book in the MacAteer Brothers series written by author ML Nystrom. It tells the story of Beverly Archer, who is a single mother of four, and Connor, the eldest of the MacAteers. We were first introduced to Connor and his siblings in Stud, the second book in the Dragon Runners MC series. And if you’re like me and enjoy knowing the backstories, I recommend reading Stud first. Just know that it’s only a suggestion.

Run with It is an absolutely amazing story, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough! The storyline is refreshing, engaging, and beautifully written. In this story, Beverly is such a strong woman who is an amazing advocate for her children. She works very hard to provide for them while her ex-husband is a real douche-canoe. Connor just moved into a duplex in Ashville, the same one that Beverly and her kids share. He’s a real stand-up guy, and he’s not afraid to help Beverly and her kids. Their friendship soon turns into something more, and I can't express how much I love Connor.

Loved every minute, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

A great start to a new series!
Run With It is a story for Connor MacAteer.
We met Connor in Stud’s book. The MacAteer carpentry company has been disbanded and the brothers have all gone their separate ways. Connor likes the stress free life of living in a stationary home for once, working for someone else and still having time to do the odd job for himself when ever he wants. His neighbor is Beverly Archer, a divorced mom with four kids. Four wonderful and very uniquely different kids that keep her on her toes constantly, but she doesn’t mind really because that’s what being a parent is all about...she just wishes her dead beat ex would wake up and give a little help some time.

I loved Run With It! The story was fun, there’s emotions that break your heart, the kids antics were very true to form and the characters themselves were very likeable, and I loved the dialogue and the bantering. Bev was a great mom, worked herself ragged for her kids while her selfish ex expected her to do more, he was a real piece of work.
Connor was always there for Bev and he was great with the kids. Bev soon found out she wasn’t alone and she had a very good friend, and their time together became so much more. A definite must read!

If you have read any the M.L. Nystrom's Dragon Runner series then you will have encountered Connor already. If you haven't or MC reads are not your thing then don't worry, It's not necessary to have read these. There is also a very different feel to this series - much lighter and more fun.

Connor moves in next door to Beverley and her 4 children. She is a single mum whose ex has put his needs and that of his new fiancee above those of his children. This has left Beverley working multiple jobs to make ends meat whilst juggling being a mum and a woman with needs. Her 4 children are very different and most parents will be able to relate to many of the situations she encounters. When Connor moves in, he tries to avoid becoming involved but the children pull him in and he finds himself feeling at home. It helps as well that he is very attracted to Beverley.

I found this chaotic but I felt part of the family and enjoyed every minute of the chaos. It was fun, light and quirky. I loved how Connor found himself as part of the family and putting their needs above his own as if it was completely natural. Great read with fantastic characters.

I met Connor MacAteer in the Dragon Runner MC series, book titled Stud. Finally, the MacAteer construction company is no more, so he gets to live free in one place finally instead of a mobile existence. He has a neighbor named Beverly, a divorced/single mother to 4 precious & spirited tiny humans, with no help from her douche bag ex. She works herself to the bone trying to take care of everyone, and she wouldn't change a thing about it since she loves her babies. Those tiny humans kept me laughing so much during this story, as they never seemed to slow down much until they fell out for bed. Connor starts to get to know his neighbors, and despite her having 4 tiny humans, he started to really feel a connection to Bev, and did his best to help her as much as she would allow him too. They have sparks, there's some angst levels, with a lot of love & shenanigans to keep me sighing/laughing so much! I LOVED the start to the MacAteer Brothers' series, and certainly CANNOT WAIT for more! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

(5 stars)

Being a divorced struggling mother of four was not how Beverly envisioned her future, but here she is. Her life now chaotic, lonely, hurt, and basically living day to day making sure that her children know they are her first priority. When her bestie decides that it's time for Bev to start dating again, all Bev can think at first is when would she even have the time, but she does agree, it is time. Add a dash of sexy neighbor and you have the perfect recipe for... more chaos. Something has to give, Bev is at the end of her rope. When she develops a crush on Connor, she just knows she has to prepare herself for it to be one sided, but what if it's not? What if Connor has the same crush? What if he is opened to having something more with her?

ML Nystrom, pulled out some freaking feels with this story! My heart hurt for Bev, I was angry with her, sad, frustrated, totally had empathy for everything that was going on with the kids. I could not put this story down once I started. I give this 5 stars and can't wait for more from this series.

“I love you. I love everything about you. Being with you fills me with joy, and I’ll do everything in my power to make you happy.”

We obviously met the McAteers in Studs book and that included Connor. I knew he loved his family regardless of their faults but I didnt have any preconceived ideas about who Connor was going into this book. Connor was a huge surprise and I fell head over heels in love with him! When he gets riled up and slips deeper into his Irish accent and words I just get all swoony. Lol!

Bev is a woman after my own heart! Bless her! Being a single mom with 4 kids at home and more kids at school she takes care of; it is deserving of a Medal of Honor! Give the woman a night to soak in a bath and she will love you forever. I was her biggest cheerleader when she finally confronted her ex’s spoiled girlfriend. That’s how you stand up for the people and kids you love!

This book will keep you entertained from start to finish. Perfect 5 star read!

After her divorce Bev finds herself as a single mother to her four children with minimal support from her ex -husband, both financially and emotionally. Although it is a struggle, she wouldn’t change a thing as her children are her life.

Connor finds himself at a crossroads as he has made some major changes in his life. Living next door to Beverly and her children is quite a lifestyle change but there is something about her and her children that call him to him but is it friendship or something more?

Both Connor and Bev’s characters are great as she would do anything for her children without asking for anything in return while Connor is just what she and the children need. There is a great cast of secondary characters as well as a compelling storyline filled with humor and heart.

M.L. Nystrom perfectly delivers sweet, swoony romance in such a real way in Run With It. She masterfully pulls you in to Connor and Beverly’s world and keeps you hooked with every single word. Their story has the perfect amount of slow burn to really have you rooting for them without leaving you feeling like you wish they would just hurry up. That balance brings so much more realness to their relationship.
I found myself really drawn in by Beverly the most though. As a mom I not only related to her A LOT, but also found myself chuckling more than once at the very real moments she had with her children. Connor was the perfect missing piece to this family and that shone brightly right from the start. He was not only fantastic with her children but gave so much love and respect to Beverly.

This is the 1st novel in a new series and is the eldest of the MacAteer brothers Connor, and single mom Beverly’s story. Beverly is living her life a day at a time between juggling two jobs while making sure her 4 little kids know they come first in her life. Connor is her sexy new neighbour, and he is drawn to this little family and will do what ever he can to help them. This is a beautifully written story which has a tad angst and is a humorous and all-round entertaining read. I loved this!!! I highly recommend for all readers.

Mixed bag

Didn’t love it and didn’t hate it. Put it this way when I got to 4% I thought about stopping because I was already bored. However I charged through it; skimming over the wordy bits and finished the book. In the end, am I happy I read it? Meh

Knights and princesses

Really good! It's not the normal romance book so if that's what your looking for, keep searching. BUT if your looking for a reminder that knights don't always ride up on the white horse, or the princess isn't always a size 4, your in the right place.

Not for me

This book had every stereotypical character in it that you can imagine for this genre. The awful ex husband, his terrible girlfriend, the noisy kids, the interfering, good hearted friend, but it was all to much, everything was so excessive. It was meant to be funny but, personally, it just made me cringe and I skimmed through all of it. I had looked forward to Connors story but I was disappointed, because I enjoyed previous books.
Other people may find it funny because this is just my personal point of view

Great starlet to a new series. I really enjoyed the glimpses of the Dragon Runners MC too. Bev 's ex got what he so richly deserved. I laughed when I read that part. Bev showed why you never mess with mama. I loved that part.

This was a fun and entertaining book.

I loved that Bev’s ex Derek go his just desserts and what he did to Bev was done to him.

Connor was a sweet, gentle and caring guy. He was loyal and a family man. He is now trying to branch out on his own but his heart misses the family environment. I loved how he was so patient and kind to Bev’s kids. He listened to them and showed and interest in who they were and what they were doing even before him and Bev got together. As of his feelings towards Bev, those were explosive and burned the kindle. He swept them under the rug at first due to not wanting to be used again and he wanted time to himself or so he believed. As he got to see Bev and know her he fell in love with her even if he didn’t want to admit it.

Bev was a hoot. She was hardworking and loved her children something fierce. No matter how much of a douchecanoe her ex was she never bad mouthed him and always did what she could to make sure her kids felt loved and had what they needed. She was comfortable with herself as well. she didn’t put up any airs or pretend to be something she wasn’t. When Connor moves next door her world changes. She meets a man that isn’t afraid to be with her children and shows an interest in them. He is kind hearted and honest. She like Connor denies the attraction and doesn’t want to lose him as a friend.

The story of how they got together was fun and entertaining. I loved her little one Mattie and loved how Connor was with her children. You cheer and root for these two to get together. Root for Bev’s blind dates to go bad and laugh at the dates themselves. You just want these two to be with one another and are warmed by the family aspect to this book. A sweet, warm entertaining book.

I was intrigued by the MacAteer brothers since they were introduced in Stud and I wasn't sure what to expect from this book since I am not used to reading anything that isn't an MC book by M.L. Nystrom. I am happy to say that I fell in love with this book. I loved every part of it. The crazy circus that is Beverly's life, the steadfast and true character that is Connor and the journey these two take to find happiness in their life.

Beverly was screwed over big time by her ex and she continues to be but she is a top notch mom and isn't about to let that keep her from being the best mom she can be. Like many others there are times where she feels like a failure and Connor couldn't come into this family's life at a better time. He doesn't necessarily make Beverly better but he helps, he contributes to the family, provides a male role that is needed and there is no strings or expectations involved. In fact the last thing Connor thinks he wants is a relationship and a family but as time goes by and Beverly starts dating maybe that is exactly what he wants.

This story just sucked me in. I wanted to jump in and beat Beverly's ex's ass so bad, I wanted to help her, I felt the stress and the feeling of never having enough time in a day. I felt every emotion and I love a story that sucks me in like that.

I can't wait to see what the other brothers have in store for us. They seem to want to be in a relationship and be tied down even less than Connor did.

This was a great story about a strong, single mother of 4 who is a Superwoman. She was going through life just fine, until a hot, single neighbor moves in next door. They both were not looking for any kind of relationship, nor did they think they had the time. But when she starts getting pulled into all kinds of different directions, who can you call to help out? The kids were very amusing and boy did the teenage girl sound and act so REAL. The other characters in the book were a lot of fun to throw in to the mix.

This is the fist book in this new series by ML Nystrom. This series is a spin off of the Dragon Runners MC. I didn’t even know I wanted this series until I started reading it. Connor has broken off from his family and is ready to settle and start his own business. Bev is a single mother of 4 kids. The last things Connor wants is to get involved in another big family but he can’t seem to stop himself. There is something about Bev and her kids. He can’t seem to stop helping and finds that he doesn’t really want to. Both must deal with things about themselves before they can try to be together. They have managed to get under each other’s skin without really trying. Bev finds herself asking Connor to help with different things and then other times he volunteers himself. Bev and Connor are wonderful characters. Things don’t go smoothly for them for most of the book. Even when they decide to give it a go, things still aren’t always smooth. I felt for the kids the most in this book. Bev’s ex isn’t the most reliable and when he is there for the kids, he isn’t really there for them but for how it looks. I am loving this spin off series. I didn’t even realize how much I wanted to read about Eva’s brothers. I look forward to reading the other books in this series when they come out. Wonderful writing ML Nystrom.

Connor and Beverly

It's my first time reading this author and I have to say that she did a fantastic job with this story. I absolutely adored Beverly and admired her strength, courage and love for her four children and oh my goodness her patience as well, but I could have throat punched her ex Doug several times. I can not believe that he was so stupid to marry that crazy bitch Mandy, but I see she was smarter than him since she divorced his stupid ass quickly after there honeymoon and received half of everything. It was funny to realize that he had to downsize his home after this and apparently never even cared that Beverly and the children did the same thing during their divorce. Guess karma does come back to bite you after all. My all time favorite is that this story takes place in my home state of North Carolina. I look forward to more of the brothers stories, but I am going to back track and read the motorcycle club books first. Happy reading.

Slow Burn

A new author for me, the story was engaging. It was relatable.

Beverly is our lead. Single mom to four kids. Her ex traded her in for a younger version, you get the picture right?

Anyway Bev struggles daily, sometimes there’s just not enough daylight to get it all fine. Her love and commitment to her kids is phenomenal. Dating? When would she have the time. Her best friend Mel has other ideas signing her up to a dating sight. It’s hilariously funny watching these dates play out.

Connor is our lead, trying to start over he moves into the adjoining duplex Bev lives in. He’s as real as it gets. He has no intention of getting involved with anyone. But life has a way of pulling people together.

It’s a slow burn read, that has you sucked in. The kids are front and centre throughout and I have to say Mattie quickly became my favourite.

The reality of a broken family, insurances, messy and ugly it’s all here.

It’s a yes from me.

It’s ok

As a kindle unlimited book I received this book for ✨free✨ so that’s nice however if you’re buying just know this book can be a little forced at times and can come across as very extremely cheesy. Now saying that, I did finish the book so yay, but I also skipped parts of the book that was just meh. The dialogue was weird. No kid says “Coolio” anymore, the teenage daughter was a brat that the mom let her get away with and matty at times was repetitive. The dates were weird that she went on and technically didn’t flow as best as they could in the book. The love interest said a lot of sappy words that were unbelievable for his character and the nicknames felt kinda forced. Doug was a horrible character and their family dynamic was TOXIC. Just sample the book before jumping in and buying.

Before I start this review, I should explain a little - last year I was on a book bender with books about wives who lost their husbands and fell in love with a younger man. This year it is divorced woman in their forties with kids falling in love with the neighbour.

Something about the second chance romances just gets to me every time.

This is one of those books that is worth a read times a million!! Oh and I love a Irish hero, and that the heroin has kids that are sassy and eye-rolling brats at times, and that she do not have everything in order. Because nobody has everything in order! Ever!

Especially when you have multiple kids!

A five out of five read!

“Connor, I have a confession to make. These aren’t my kids. They are experimental robots the government sent me for behavioral observation. You’ll be expected to fill out a survey later.”
