But occasionally, I do need a man to release my frustrations.
Jamie Kemp might be mild-mannered - and in love with someone else - but he'll fill the need I have for one night.
Except, one night was all it took for Jamie to think his future is with me. A future I'm not interested in pursuing.
Good pain and bad pain. Jamie wants to give me more of the first, but I've been hurt enough in my past to know I have no interest in anything that could cause me that kind of heartache ever again.
Maybe one more night couldn't hurt too much.
This novel contains themes that some readers might find distressing.
Riley Ashby lives in the American Midwest. She eats entirely too much tofu and owns just the right number of cats. She enjoys reading and writing anything romantic, be it dark and suspenseful or light and fluffy - always with a Happily Ever After.
The Endgame series is my guilty pleasure and when I realized another book had been released and I missed it I had to read it immediately. Sorry TBR, I needed this fix.
Jamie Kemp is a MMA fighter in training, who also babysits Sophie's alcoholic, problematic father. When he isn't training, and cleaning up the gym, he's keeping Sophie's father out of trouble. Victoria 'Tori' Ryder has been a body guard and friend to the Kings since she fled an abusive situation, that ended badly. She's kept herself locked down tight but when a night with Jamie let's her deepest desires off their leash, she craves more.
These two are genuinely nice people people, with kinky needs that not all will appreciate, but fulfull needs that make them both happy. The author shows us in Tori's previous abusive relationship how kinky needs can be abused and how wonderful they can be when shared with someone who cares. Jamie shows the tough as nails Tori how to trust again and her submission never detracts from her strength. I loved them both.
My only complaint is the story ended just when it was getting to the best part, I wanted more of their story, the ending felt very abrupt.
This story contains violence and BDSM themes which may not be appreciated by all readers, such as dominance and submission, breath play, rough sex, bondage and anal play.
I love the fact that they ended up together.. BUT i don't agree with the way the author choose for them to start being intimate...you know 🤔 i would love to see a few things from their past dialogues ( we had a few glimpses in the last books of them talking and i wished they start something here and there, some attraction, flirt , etc...) I felt like they were superficial choosing to get laid only because they are the only one's single... just meh,and the fact he was "in love" with Sophie didn't help me either to like him with Tori , especially like i said above the first scenes ruined it for me 😣. They didn't have chemistry,no passion. With all this being said , i enjoyed the book, but...not as much as the other one's in this series...that start ruined it all for me.... but i did like them after, hardly, but i did, kind of. They could have a really good start tho 😥 the cards were all there.
Great b ook really enjoyed reading glad tori and Jamie got their act together good plot well matched good chemistry received an arc from hidden gems and this is my honest opinion of this book I have thoroughly enjoyed reading can't wait to read more from this author soon
"I honestly couldn't stop reading this fourth addition all day. I started this morning and found myself reading and reading til I was finally finished. I didn't stop to drink, eat or pee."
