I've loved all the previous books in this series and Fourth Day is no exception! I have been anxiously awaiting Sal's story, I just knew he had quite a backstory and I was so excited to finally learn it. Allyson was a great heroine, she and Sal were perfect for each other and it was a joy to watch them figure that out. As I have come to expect from this author the suspense in Fourth Day was phenomenal! This series has more twists and turns than a mountain road, which always keep me on the edge of my seat! I cannot wait to see what happens next!
Fourth Day is an awesome story, I loved it and highly recommend it! I can't wait to read Final Stand and finally get inside the head of the mysterious and enigmatic Victoria Bramlyn!

I received an ebook copy of this book from the publisher which did not influence my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

This book was intense. It was different from the first three as this whole mystery ramps up and comes to a head. I enjoyed these characters and their teams. It was interesting to have these characters come together with a history that I don’t remember hearing anything about previously. It made me wonder if they had cameos in a previous series. That aside, there was plenty of action and danger to keep me enthralled. I’m excited for the conclusion to this series.

This series is awesome. Allyson is abducted twice and both are harrowing experiences. All the dirty cops is in a wide range of departments that are being bought out by Kennowich. Don't know who to trust in the FBI. Kept me turning pages to see how it was going to end. The ending is sweet! Can't wait to read the final book in the series.

Too much conflict

I did not enjoy this book. It was full of conflict among Taskforce team members and against Allyson by the Taskforce. Then there were all the corrupt FBI agents. And the stuff with Victoria. What???

Very Good Read.

It was a good book. It did get long an confusing in parts due to the complex story line but a good read.

Another good story in the NWCTT series. This one is about the elusive Sal Alvarez. They are getting closer and closer to the nemsis of the story (I can't remember his name, sorry), and every time they have him in their grasp he smilingly pulls out and moves on.

Allyson, an ATF officer is the female lead in this story. At the beginning of the story her friend Jennifer, who returns from being a kidnap victim for several years, becomes bait to catch the people that she escaped from. Allyson is totally against this, but has no choice when everyone is for it. It ends up getting both Jennifer and Allyson kidnapped - and a whole lot of the fog is lifted when they are finally rescued!

I liked this one, no real antagonism between the couple, they are just trying to find their way to each other, a way that will work.

I think that there is one use of "Jackass" in the story and the person is calling themselves that because they are being stupid - proper use! I'm reading two stories at a time and I think it was in this one. But it's a clean read all the same.

FOURTH DAY...by Lisa Phillips
A high level target had escape federal protection, multiple crime scenes, that the Task Force had cleaned up. Exhausted the team has had nothing but fallout for days. Allyson and Sal, when she takes a call was it really Vanessa. who disappeared from the college dorm a long time ago. She was coming to Seattle, someone was after her. Sal.wanted to find her, for. Vanessa something to sink his teeth in. Decisions was some too late now, he wanted something good in his life for once. Vanessa it was her case to find her friend, and now being told a co worker of her friend was found murdered. Her friend now with a different name hasn’t been at work. The murdered man was of importance, and a case they had now hope would bust wide open. Its big, the plot holds many decisions, for the team, personally also, of what is next. A great addition to this series. The author has given us a complex plot that we want to read of how it unfolds.

Sal and Allyson have history-some of it good and some of it bad. Sal’s teammates on the North West Counter –Terrorism Task Force are very resentful towards Allyson for the bad part. Sal is feeling that it is time for a change in his life and is hoping that Allyson can be a part of the change.
As an ATF Officer Allyson ends up working alongside the task force to try and locate a key player in the terrorist group that they have been hunting for several months.
Suspicion, betrayal and corruption have you questioning ‘Just who are the good guys?’ as this story unfolds. Some totally unexpected surprises along the way make this story a real page turner.
As always, Lisa delivers a strong plot and a very exciting read. Five stars!

While I loved that Sal found his HEA, the mystery/suspense felt off and ended with an unexpected twist.

Fourth Day picks up immediately from where Third Hour ends. Sal and Allyson know each from having worked together on a previous case. Sal comes along with the ATF when they receive word that a gun store has been broken into and guns were stolen. Sal is there when Allyson's friend who disappeared in college and is presumed to be dead calls her out of the blue because she's in trouble. Fourth Day is a roller coaster of a ride with betrayal, kidnapping, the task force being implicated in stealing the guns, and widespread corruption. I can't wait for Final Stand, the last book in this series.
I received an ARC.

Fourth Day (book 4 in the Northwest Counter Terrorism Task Force series) by Lisa Phillips starts off where the third book ended. There is much confusion and things are not going smoothly, when Ally, an ATF agent and Sal's friend, gets a phone call from a college friend presumed dead. This puts Ally on a new and very personal case, one that connects to the team's. However, there is betrayal, kidnappings, and a lot of suspense along the way . . . but the ending is worth it all! Looking forward to Final Stand, the 5th and last book in this series.

Fourth Day

Since Sal has been the most interesting, enigmatic character in this series for me I was hoping for a story that would spend time revealing the quiet loner. In some ways this was accomplished but the plot was so shallow and flawed. Really good lawmen wouldn't have been completely duped as they were. As I read it felt choppy, only skimming through scenes that needed depth. A disappointing read for me.

Fast and suspense filled.

I love to read books from this author. This book was hard to put down. It kept you right on the edge of your seat. Who were the good guys who were the bad guys. Could 2 teams work together to find who was really the bad guys.

Sal is an intriguing character. He has been something of a mystery man in the previous books of the series but captures interest as the leading man, now.
