Whether or not you know any Hebrew, the author does go over some basics with an intro to the Hebrew alphabet (alef-bet). This book reads through Genesis 1:1-13 in Hebrew, giving some unique historical & spiritual perspectives on it. It’s like a lesson in a foreign language & a devotional combined! It also contains some writing activities (matching English & Hebrew).

The “Let There Be Light” set also comes with a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM is great for audio recordings, so you can hear what it sounds like when spoken out loud, & you can repeat the Hebrew words yourself. This book contains audio lessons 1-12 (the sections of the study book containing audio segments are notated by its corresponding number encircled by an “emoji” of headphones).

A little note on “troubleshooting” with the CD-ROM: I tried playing it on a regular CD player, but it didn’t work. I played it on a laptop computer with a built-in CD drive, and that worked.
