Great first book on sloths! They are such bizarre creatures; it amazes me that they are still even around! You would thing that a creature as slow as they are would not have made it as long as they have. I guess it is a good lesson when it comes to the complex equation of survival; so many creatures that are gone seem (to me) to have had a better chance that sloths!

Sloths are our favorite father/daughter animal. We want to learn about them, get stuffies, shirts, etc. We were big fans of the 'Survival of the Slowest' exhibition at the Canadian Museum of Nature. This book is packed of tons of information about sloths (types depending on the number of claws, their higher speed in water, them leaving the trees to poop, etc.).

Great stuff.

My dad's favorite animal was the sloth. Based on the cover and title, I needed to read it in his honor. I realize that I know nothing about teaching children how to read. There is so much science that goes into it! I love all the ideas and strategies that this book gives on how to read it with littles and how to teach and practice the "the" sound. If you like sloths and you have someone in your life learning to read, this is the book for you!

Teachers of littles, I would 100% add this to my library!

It started with a pair of Christmas socks. I have the cutest pair of Sloth socks so I began wondering about them when I found this very cute book . I learned so fantastic facts about them and enjoyed the amazing pictures.
