Yeongwoo Shin is a man who’s barely surviving a pathetic everyday life full of debt. He works daily general labor in order to pay his loan interest. But even to those with a life tainted by misfortune, the Goddess of Luck grants them with a chance of a life time. When ‘Greed’ travels to the Cave of the North End to complete his quest, he comes across the mysterious ‘Tome of Fagma,' eventually class-changing into a legendary class! However, he now ends up having to do heavy labor even inside a game! With his legendary class, will Greed be able to change his fate?
Grid's finally moving towards becoming a national force. Although my favorite bit by far in this segment was the woodchopping quest he gets from the East Continent blacksmith. Grid can't believe a tree killed him, and get so angry at it he's determined to get revenge. And this leads to some unexpected new alliances, and eventually even crazier pieces of equipment.
And we're back to nothing bad can happen, there is an attempt to create suspense but when nothing ever goes wrong for the MC and his group things get boring. It's more like presenting the people who will get beat up by the main group than presenting their story. The first 30 chapters are a little better as they at least present a decent story progression but after that is becomes really predictable 'till chapter 600.
Same review for each book: The system is nifty. The storytelling is pretty decent. The translation I have may not be this one. However, holy pants women-are-objects shows up a lot, and the gay people are treated as lesser/weird.
Read a few because the background is nifty, and I can put up with a lot, but I eventually just got sick of it.
It started with Lauel negotiating the alliance with Borneo of the Gauss Kingdom to attack Patrian and ended with the founding ceremony of Overgeared Kingdom, the first kingdom established by player.
