-Tink-
From the moment I befriended him, I set a conspiracy in motion.
A revolution.
Kill Peter Pan.
And I was their ultimate weapon.
I was also none the wiser, falling hopelessly and irrevocably in love with him as the years went by.
Just as they hoped I would.
But their plan comes to a screeching halt when Peter vanishes into thin air, something I’ll learn has nothing to do with Rosewood at all.
You see, Peter never truly loved me...because he loved a wench instead.
He lied to me, he used me, he left me, and he broke me.
Forever altering me in ways that incite revenge when Hook sweeps in with revelations and the ultimate truth.
Peter may have turned his back on me, but in the end, he and his precious little Wendy will choke on every last tear I once shed.
And I’ll have Hook to thank for that.

-Hook-
It’s no secret I always despised Peter Pan.
A common threat amongst the factions, I should’ve killed him when I had the chance, long before he sank his claws deep into Tinksley’s heart.
But his death at my hands wasn’t what the plan called for, despite how I felt for her.
I’d always been drawn to the girl, innocently enough at first…until that vile abomination marked her with his stamp, unleashing a sense of propriety I had no rights to.
Didn’t matter—he had her...and I wanted her.
Then like magic, he disappeared.
I thought my time had come, but the road to owning Tinksley’s heart comes with a price.
A price so dark and depraved it strips her of her purity and awakens the beast within.
All because of the truth.
Sometimes, there is honor in revenge, and it will be my utmost pleasure to watch as Peter Pan finally meets his maker.
His maker who will soon be my Queen.

I love fantasy and paranormal books - but I haven't read a good book in a very long time ... ❤
Boy, after I finished the prologue, I was *sure* I found a winner!!!! 💪🎉

📚 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨’𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭:
𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐭.
𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐮𝐩.
𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐭. 📚

The hero in the story is Callan, Captain Hook (yeah yeah, we all know him! Or, do we...? 😬). Although I raised an eyebrow at the beginning, it reminded me of the TV series "Once Upon a Time" and each chapter starts with an awesome song to get us in the mood. I even started thinking ahead and got thrilled that I already have a stunning male figure for the book edit! 😍
But... um...
No.

Captain Hook has been in love with Tinksley (Tinkerbell) for years. He follows her and fantasizes about her - but he has no chance with her...
Why? Because Tinks is in love with Peter Pan.
But ... Peter is not interested in a relationship with her, other than sex (WTF?!?!?!) 😳😳😳

I swear I could have overcome the shock of reading their bizarre sex scene because I was curious to know what will happen next - UNTIL I found out that our Callan wasn't just a vicious captain who hated Peter Pan and the lost boys. Nooooo.
The author turned him into a... VAMPIRE!!!
And when he's hungry, he drinks Tigerlily's blood. 😳

That is when I closed my Kindle in panic (it almost cracked, damn it) - and after my terrified expression calm down, I just laughed out loud, with myself, all alone in my room!!!!!!! 😂😂😂

So if you want to find out how this love story ends, you are welcome to read the book and find out for yourself... (And please, don't tell me, I really don't want to know!!!) 😂🙏😭

I love fairytale retellings, and I love dark and twisted books, so this one seemed to be right up my alley. And...I LOVED IT. Two days and two different books that get 5 Stars from me. Maybe the book funk I've been in is ending?? Anyway, as I said, I loved this book. It was well written. Original. Well paced. The plot was engaging. Dark. Twisted (that twist...shocking). Not safe (for those of you wondering). The sex was hot (although very slow burn with Tink and Hook). Great world building. Great cast of secondary characters. Hook was a likable hero, and badass Tink (at the end) gave me a lady boner. 😂 Not much else left to say. I can't wait to get my hands on Wendy's book next year! 👍👍

Okay. Okay. Alright. Now that my heart has stopped racing, I can tell you what I think of this book. Here's what I have to say: READ IT!! If you're a fan of the dark and twisted, of macabre delights, and of spine-tingling thrills, you NEED this book in your life!! Venom is a dark romance reimagining of the Neverland story we all grew up on and loved.

What I absolutely loved about this book was how far the author was willing to go to give us readers something unique and yet oddly familiar. We get the same characters with a completely different story. So while I felt I knew who these people were, I had absolutely no idea.

Tinksley: a young halfling (fairy/fae) who resides in Rosewood and is a true daughter of the people. She's everything pure and light. However, she's impetuous, reckless, immature, and childish. She fell in love with the one man everyone told her to stay away from and this love led to unexpected ruin.
Can't blame anyone. I really was a stupid child playing at being a woman, ignoring every red flag just to get my way...

Hook: well, first of all, he doesn't have a hook! 😁 He was the ruler of Rosewood. Everyone looked to him for answers and he was pretty adept at finding solutions. He was a centuries old vampire, a pirate, and he was quite used to getting what he wants.
What's sexiest about Hook is his confidence. He knows he's a walking masterpiece and he owns it.

So why not five stars? If I had one complaint? I wanted more time with Hook and Tinks as a couple. I love that they were the ones to introduce Dee Garcia's new series, but I wanted to see them really gel as one. So much of this story was Tinks fighting against everything he had to offer and, maybe I'm just plain greedy, but I just wanted more!!

He watched and he waited. He wanted Tinks, but he wanted her to want him in return. While she was blindly captivated by Pan, he knew all of the secrets. And when she is left devastated, he's the one holding her together. I think what, or rather who, I loved most in this book was Hook. He was this lethal, calculating, intelligent man and yet he was such a freaking gentleman. He was literally everything there was to love about this story. And honestly, for him alone, you should be as desperate to read this book as I was.

Right, I wasn't sure what I was going to think of this when I first started considering it had quite a few of my no-no's in it, but this one crept up and caught me unawares and I really enjoyed and appreciated the individuality of the story.
So first off this is a darkish retelling of a fairy tale based on and around the whole hook, Peter Pan and Tink fairytale.
I do love me a retelling and this one is one of my favourites to date.
So this is certainly not the Disney Take this one is so much darker and contains plenty of heat, blood and Tragedy.
I really appreciated this alternative version it kept me guessing throughout and was such an enthralling and unique read.
This was quite slow burn between Hook and Tink but when the two do eventually connect it was explosive and I could feel the chemistry and holy hell that Twist I so didn't see that one coming at all it was fantastic.
Also Loved the finale here, it was just so twistingly satisfying and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Highly recommend this one especially if you like unique and different, this has that and so much more.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Venom.

Hook me, baby! Dannnng, this book (excuse the pun) hooked me right from the get-go. I was in love with the devilishly handsome and villainous Captain Hook the moment I met him in the story! He's so intense and focused on his infatuation...Tinksley. She's a spitfire and just the kind of woman/fae/troublemaker Hook needs! This story was a fascinating retelling of Peter Pan, but a million times better! I loved the darkness and intrigue!! And the heat/romance was spot on...never missing a beat! I definitely recommend this juicy book! Five HOOK IS MY HERO Stars!

This is a dark retelling of the Peter Pan fairytale with a twist.
I don't read a lot of fantasy books but I have to say this book was so addicting.
The painfully slow burn near killed me as the anticipation built with every turn of the page. Hook and Tinksley & Pan are all uniquely different from the original story, there was so much I did not see coming.
Creative, imaginative and so cleverly written. this twisted fairytale has set the bar very high for the remainder of the Sinister Fairytale Series.
I can't wait to read more in this series.

***4,5 "Oh, Callan!!!!" stars***

“Can I keep you, Tinksley? As my finest treasure?”

I'm impressed!!! I'm really impressed!!!
It's a common secret that i love fairytales and that i used to read and love lots of fantasy and paranormal stories...
This story is a retelling of Peter Pan, but it was approached in a very different light than the original story!!! And with so much paranormal and fantasy touches in it!!!

"She’s purity and light, I’m maleficence and darkness."

I just have to warn you that this is NOT your usual retelling!!!
It's anything but sweet and magical!!!
It's a dark, twisted and sinister retelling and it hasn't much common facts with the original story!!!
Yes, there is a Peter Pan and a Tinkerbell and a Captain Hook in here, but they aren't as you are remembering from your childhood!!!

"He had her... and I wanted her.
And it's been that way ever since."

And it will be heard as crazy to tell you that even though i liked Peter Pan and I hated Captain Hook in the original tale, in "Venom", i felt the exact opposite thing!!!
Pan wasn't my favorite person in here and honestly, i don't know how i was feeling about him...
Tinksley, as was her name in here, was a sweet and smily girl, until she wasn't because of Pan..
And Hook!!! Well, i can't believe that I'm saying this shit, but i just loved him from the first moment!!!! I'm all for bad boys these days!!!!

"Can't blame anyone. I really was a stupid child playing at being a woman, ignoring every red flag just to get my way."

Well, Tink was in love with Pan...
Pan was with Tink, but he betrayed her...
Hook was always there watching her and he wanted Pan out of the picture...
But only Tink could do the job...
Well, honestly, i can not say more because the things were quite complicating in here!!!
But this fairytale was so twisted that it doesn't remimd much what we used to know about this story!!!
And no, the main hero isn't Peter Pan, but Captain Callan Hook!!! And i truly enjoyed it!!! Imagine...

"I'm what nightmares are made of, remember?"
"Not everyone has the same idea of nightmares.
"Oh, come on, You know what they say about me. I'm the big, bad man. The villain of Rosewood tales."
"Are you really though?.. Or is that how you want people to see you?"

I repeat that it is a dark, twisted and fascinating in a weird way retelling!!! So, you may enter at your own risk!!!!
I, honestly, can't wait to read the next books in the series and I'm very curious of how much twisted will be the rest of them!!!
Bring it on, girls!!!! I'm sooo ready!!!

"Why does it feel like you've been waiting years for this moment?
"Because I have..."

Lately, Peter Pan retellings are really working out for me, and this was no exception. One of my favorites!!! I always love a dashing Captain Hook, but this is my favorite Hook of all time! So. Let’s begin. Tinksley is half fairy, half fae, and she’s in love with the mysterious and immortal human, Peter Pan. He says he loves her too, but lately she’s getting the sense that he’s holding a huge part of himself back.

Callan, Captain Hook, is not only gorgeous and fierce, but he’s Rosewood’s leader and an all powerful vampire, as are the guys in his brood. He’s wanted Tink for as long as he can remember, and the sheer veneration he feels for her was truly breathtaking, especially the further into the story we get. Pan leaves and Tink is devastated. So much so that she tries to kill herself. Only Hook finds her and has to turn her into a vampire in order to save her life.

I struggled a lot with Tink. She’s weak minded most of the book, and then becomes completely combative and refuses all of Hook’s attempts to care for her. Luckily that doesn’t last forever (only 85% of the fucking book) and when they finally do get together it’s absolutely magical. And when we find out Pan’s twist? I was NOT prepared. Completely shook, and I love when I don’t see the twist coming!!! Cannot wait to read Wendy’s book, but I’m already preparing myself to hating Tinksley again…

*very little spoilers*

*I'm getting on a long tale*

How Severus Snape died in the end, no happy ending for Khal Droggo and Daenerys, why Murtagh had to leave Alagaësia, poor 15year old Valuable died giving birth waiting for the baby's father who never came until too late, when Captain Hook started looking enticing; how did I find balm to this misery? Fanfiction. Back when I used to read fanfiction this twisting of stories made my day. No matter the taboo, dark, angst, degrading the story turns into, the romance and the happily ever after only matters.

There was a good fanfiction author (Forget Me Not by Tara1189 - if she ever finds and reads my review among the millions I'll be so happy) she paired up Captain Hook and Wendy. And what a fine story it was.

So while scrolling through the feed and finding Venom threw me off the roof to the sky. Captain Hook and Tinker Bell people! This book turned the adult version of all characters. It includes drama, angst, emotional romance.

Tinksley is a beautiful half-fairy who is immature, childish and so in love (maybe that's why immature and childish). She was of radiant light and pure and so in love with Peter even though her mother and everyone told her to stay away from him. Here Captain Hook is a vampire who is centuries old, very intelligent and used to getting what he wants. The story goes on much with Tinkley fighting with everyone and devasted for Peter leaving her. Hook on the other hands knows her secrets, he waited, manipulated every situation until Tinksley was his. Lethal that he was but Hook was so understanding, supportive and a very gentleman.

Overall the romance matters to me only. This book was my first read of Dee Garcia and I've been blown. I'll definitely read her books.

This book made an astounding work on fiction. I enjoyed it. Definitely looking up to the Sinister series!

Spoilers ahead

Welllllll this didn't turn out the way I expected, one would think that in a book that's basically a fairy tale where the villain is the one we're supposedly rooting for there'd be no place for relationship drama but somehow this author managed it.... I read Cold Queen first and immediately started the series because I enjoyed that one..big mistake!!!! Huge!!!!!

Dnf at 70%

Spoilers alert !!!

Okay so the first time i read this book, i dnf it at 30% but then i thought i should give it another try cuz ofc Captain Hook is bae. But i had to dnf this one, i just couldnt continue because for one annoying heorine who is Tinker Fucking Bell. Tbh i always hated Tinker Bell, in the movies, the books, she is annoying as hell and this book proved that she can cross all level of “annoyingness”. Captain hook deserves so much better than tinker bell, this is seriously those kinds of book where the girl is hopelessly in love with a guy ( peter pan the stupido ) but he uses and then leaves her, she cant handle the heartbreak cuz oh- the- emotion and tries to harm herself but then her shining armour comes and shows her the world of sunshine and roses, love and peace 🙄🙄🙄 blah blah blah, and they live happily ever after. This book’s plot is that, seriously thats the plot but fairytale version. Tinker bell tries to kill herself because peter pan left her 🙄🙄 oh the heartbreak 😪😪. And then Captain Hook saves her blah blah. I liked Hook a lot, he always loves Tinker bell or should I say Tinksley. But she really doesnt deserve his love or care. She is so selfish, stupid and immature. I survived the cartoon/movie/book cuz of Hook, i always liked him and had to read this book but .........Tinker bell is frustrating.

This book wasnt that dark, it was like twilight but bella has a ex and he leaves her, but then Edward shows his muscles and she falls for him. It was basically that. From naive and immature tinker bell turns into “evil and vengeful” but for me it seemed like she from a fae transacted to a vampire and also “more annoying and more dumb”.

Moral of the story - tinker bell was, is and always will be annoying. She is the definition of annoying. She created annoying.

Ill be honest i had high hopes for this book.. but something in my gut knew it wouldn't be a good read for me..

To much tink and peter together... i felt so bad for hook but he was also with ow.. so it made me go blah... I'm sorry i just can't read or enjoy stories when the MC are fking other ppls.. its just a no for me.. and made me take a big DNF... also tink was a big no for me she annoyed me a lot...

If you don't mind that and the op drama this is a book for you.. i only gave it a 1.5 star for the bookcover

OMG, this is a retelling that I didn't know that I needed!! I knew going into the book that it would be part of a series of standalone books. This story kicks off the intrigue into the sinister fairytales collection by introducing us to a very different Peter Pan, Hook, Tinkerly (Tinkerbell), and Ravenwood. As many know Tinkerly is a fairy but how things change if she was a fae? This that story! Get ready for a super crazy ride of twists and turns to a beloved fairytale. There is some content warning that this story is taboo, dark, twisted, and not for everyone. Even though we get a happy ending to this story I can't wait to see where everything goes from here because if you think you know....you really don't!

This specific video review will be included in the October 2019 wrap-up.

Apart from the names and location, the story has nothing to do with the fairy tale...

With that in mind, the story is surprising, it's dark because of the fucked up things that happened. The sex is quite safe and rather "normal"

What a deliciously dark and twisted retelling.

You have these characters that you know; Tink, Captain Hook, Peter Pan. You have places you might remember and little bits of the old story added in for good measure. But then you have the truly new, very adult and dark version making it a unique retelling and creating the beginnings of this world that will unfold over the next number of months. Ms. Garcia breathed new life into these characters and created something completely new.

Tinksley is part fae and tries her best to be something different and good. Her father is anything but and she knows that his blood runs through her. She is also very much in love, a love that is not supposed to be and one that she is warned away from. She is a bit young and a lot stubborn. She wants to do things her own way, fates be damned. And when heartbreak happens, dark destruction ensues.

Hook is the devilish leader of the land. He is dark and brooding but a gentleman. There is this plan that he speaks of and he is smart enough to make sure it comes to fruition. He is calculating and knows what deals to make and which ones to steer clear of. Tink is his weakness though and she has the ability to bring him to his knees.

Peter was a curious addition to this story. He is kind of what I expected but then not at all. He is mischief and causes certain things to be set into motion.

Overall this was a delight. It starts off a bit slow but it didn't take long to get wrapped up into the twisted web of this land. The plotting and setting things into motion had me glued to the pages. I can't wait for more to come and to see where this crazy story takes us.

Oh my my, where are you, sweet Tinkerbell?
Do not expect anything sweet, Tinksley Bell is deliciously vile.

This retelling of the Peter Pan fairy tale is waaaayyy better, the twist just awesome. I do think the author did a stellar job bringing this classic tale to life with a villain who became the hero and the sweet hero becoming the villain.

While Hook & Tinker's story is a slow build, their ultimate sex if OFF-THE-CHART!!
I do not want to get into too much, just saying this is a must read!

The ending had me falling out of my chair thinking "oh, no! She did not do that!!" and I can not wait for the next book!

I am totally HOOKed on the Rosewood world—Dee Garcia hooked me right from the start, and I'm gonna be honest here, I wasn't expecting to get so involved in the story, as I did, but Dee's words were so addictive and then that twist at the end, girl, you killed it.

I really enjoy when authors decide to write very faithful retellings, but when they add their own dark twisted ideas and still managed to make clever references to the original story, I just LOVE IT.

The only but and the reason I'm not giving it 5 stars, is because I'm a selfish girl and I wanted more from Hook and Tinks, sorry but it was not enough. So I will be here not so patiently waiting for Dee Garcia to give me MORE.

I was totally hooked on Hook 🙃
Bad jokes aside...
This is the first retelling in a series of sinister tales and I enjoyed every minute of it!
I’m not usually a fan of PNR but I like twisted retelling and anti heroes.
So I really enjoyed this alternative story
I’m anticipating what will come next and I hope the innocent and unaware won’t pay for the faults of others, yup I’m still a softie and I believe those not a fault should not pay for the mistakes of others. I can’t say names as I don’t want to spoil the fun of reading this riveting tale. When you get to the end you’ll see what I mean and for whose destiny I’m talking ;)

Uh... WTF. This book was fucking crazy. I loved it, I hated, overall it was disturbing and dark. Dark, I expected. Disturbing, not to the level that Garcia went.
This interesting take on Peter Pan has Fae, vampires, sirens, witches, and fairies. It's divided into three acts; which makes the relationship between Tinksley and Peter in act one easier to read...I hate flashbacks. Act two is the building of Hook and Tinksley's relationship and act three is the conclusion. I loved Hook and Tinksley together. There's just not enough of it for me. Some background on the relationship with Peter would have been sufficient. I needed more Hook. He was the best character. I loved it when he opened Tinksley's eyes to the world around her. So, what got me?

This is a twisty, full of mystery, intrigue and lust retelling of Peter Pan. The good guys are no longer good whilst the bad guys are definitely dangerous.

I loved this tale of Tinksley and Callan/Hook, which is surprisingly slow burn but still manages to feel very hot and steamy too. There are some dark elements and some moments of deep despair and bitter betrayal. By getting both Hook and Tinksley's first person point of view, I found it easy to understand and forgive - particularly Hook with his ulterior motives wrapped around genuine deep feelings for Tink.

Normally I'm not a fan of a book that hinges on a 'big secret' that isn't revealed until near the end of the book. However Dee Garcia executed this one perfectly by giving us plenty of other action, intrigue and romance throughout the story. The plot and pace easily, totally and utterly, held my attention. I couldn't read it quickly enough, yet wanted to savour every single moment of the story too.

Highly recommend this book and am hoping the rest of the series lives up to this fantastic start.

“Can I keep you, Tinksley? As my finest treasure?”

Seriously can I keep this couple forever because honestly they’re one of my favorite, EVER. This is absolutely a top read for the year for me-I’ve never really been so captivated, so utterly intrigued by a storyline before. I’m so appreciative that this author put one of the most unique, creative, and intelligent spins on a fairytale as old as time.
Tinksley was seriously put through the emotional ringer-but through it all she stayed true to this authors style of writing females that take no prisoners and morph into this fiercely amazing woman. I felt my heart ripped out, and literally had goosebumps while reading many of her point of views throughout the book. This author really poured her heart and soul into writing Tinksley, and I felt myself reading and re-reading several of her chapters because I wanted to relive the amazing work that was put into Tinksley’s story.

“Show me, Hook. I want to see your little wonderland of debauchery.”
ME TOO GIRL, ME TOO. Hook was just absolutely flawless for me. He was this brooding lead that had a total soft spot for Tinksley. He protected her fiercely, but he knew every step of the way just what she needed towards her own journey of happiness. I want to see more and more of him-the exchanges between him and Tinksley were always brimming with chemistry, and their scenes together were absolutely some of the hottest I’ve ever read. The table scene as I’m going to refer to it.. I don’t think I’ve read anything hotter before.

Truly, such a strong opening for this collection, I’m so totally excited for the rest-if this book is any indication of how dark these authors intend to go, I’m so ready for the wild ride ahead. The shear talent it took to write something this creative is something I’ll appreciate for the rest of this year as a top read for the year! An absolute must read !

I absolutely love fairytale stories so when I saw this I couldn’t resist reading it. I wasn’t disappointed as Venom was a fantastic read.

No spoilers here. Jump in and read this amazing story. I sucked this story up in two sittings (had to feed the family so they’d leave me alone lol ).

This author turned everything completely around in what I thought of Peter Pan. She blew my expectations out of the water. Venom is definitely my favourite of this authors so far. Can’t wait to see what she writes next.

I’m so looking forward to reading more from this collection.

This book is the adults dirty disney version of Hook, it is dark and twisted and in no way disappointing. Hook isn't a common retelling, Dee did this story justice! I loved how in depth Dee went with the characters, not just the hero and heroine. This book captivated me from the very beginning! I cannot wait to see what else comes from this collection if the first book was anything to go by!

Wow! When this series was announced, there was very little of each novel detailed. With this book, I didn’t even know anything about what the story entailed until i began reading. This allowed me to go in completely blind; which enhanced my reading experience.

VENOM is a retelling of the Peter Pan tale and was thoroughly addictive, intriguing and utterly fascinating!!! The PNR aspect of it all was EVERYTHING! The many factions of the fae world was exhilarating.

The chemistry between Hook and Tink was incredibly strong and the whole story behind Tink and Peter...jaw dropping - purely shocking 😳

It was sexy with an air of the fairytale I remember as a young girl. This book was the perfect blend of my reading preferences of then AND now!

Nope. This book was idk.... batsh*t crazy. First off I spent the first 300 pages being confused at the introduction of way too many irrelevant characters while trying to understand what “plan” they kept talking about. There’s no world building, no explanation of of time or place and a complete lack of explanation when it comes to powers or relationships between people. Trying build a mystery by omitting information fails spectacularly. The attempt to make Tinksley innocent and pure just makes her seem shallow. She has no life but Peter and that’s not sweet it’s pathetic.
The big suicide scene? It just fell flat (pun not intended). We were supposed to feel for Tinksley being heartbroken and choosing to end it all. Instead it just solidified that she was an idiot. She was immature and that made it difficult to buy into this all consuming love she had for Peter. Who incidentally was her half brother. Because honestly I did not see the detail coming and it wasn’t good shocking as much as it was Jerry Springer type shocking.
It picks up near the end but when I tell you it got dark real quick, I am not exaggerating. It escalated rapidly the last few pages. I could almost forgive the violence that somehow just randomly spews forth from Tinksley, but you know what was unforgivable? Giving another woman over to be gang raped when she truly was an innocent party.
I’m all for dark fairytales. They breathe new life into old stories. Do yourself a favor though, read Cold Queen instead that book is dark but it’s certainly not depraved.

I’m gonna keep this neat and tidy because I don’t want to spoil anything.

Here’s the thing: I believe that words are art and that authors are artists. Dee Garcia is no exception, in fact, she’s apart of my standard.

When I entered Rosewood it was like taking a cleansing breath of fresh air. Not only because the storyline was so unique but because she made it look effortless, I wasn’t worried about a single thing while I went on the journey she created for me. I just sat back and attempted to relax, just before all hell broke loose and I was up and on the very edge of my fucking seat.

This story doesn’t end with Venom, we just switch couples. The world is massive and this is only the beginning, but Hook & Tinksley were absolute 🔥 and the side characters had me biting my nails in anticipation for what was to come for this world.

If you like unapologetic darkness, twists on fairytales, vampires and Fae...then you’ll love this. Whatever you think you know about Peter Pan, throw it out the window and pick up this book.

Dee knows what the fuck she’s doing and I’ll willingly put myself in the front seat of any vehicle she’s metaphorically driving 😈

(I mean, let’s be real. I’d ride with her in real life too 😉)

um.............................................................
wut?
Okay so it started off as a peterpan retelling but Tinkerbell's love interest is Hook. I like fairytale retellings where the villain is the love interest so I thought I would read this (despite never having watched peterpan)
it was a good dark romance.
BUT

I'm extremely confused at the last page at how it just got DARRRKKKK.

So yeah, warning: the majority of this book falls along the dark romance trope but the ending bit is a bit gross and graphic and I wish I didn't read that part.
