YA Post Apocalyptic Dystopian

Project Dandelion: Resistance was another fun ride packed full of action and suspense. Katrina and the Gang are now part of the resistance and things are moving into motion against the New World Order. The friendships that have been built over this series are completely drama free and keep you wanting more. Sargent Floyd was a blast to read - he is such a typical Military dad! The banter between him and Katrina was a hoot. The girls were so strong in this installment working together as a team and making things work. I’m glad the author decided to write another book and not end it here. The ending was open ended and had some holes, but overall another solid enjoyable quick read.

Once again, a huge thank you to the author Heather Carson for sending me a copy of this book! I’ve enjoyed following the story of these kids and I’m happy with how this played out.

Yet again, such a gripping story and so much is going on all over the place. My one complaint for all of this is that these books could be three times the length and I’d still read them, they’re too short!

That aside, I love Katrina’s determination and I love her stubbornness. It was nice to watch her grow as a person while still maintaining what makes her *her*, not bending to be who someone else wanted her to be.

Definitely an interesting post-apocalyptic world and I’ve loved the journey!

Thank you Heather Carson for sending me a copy of your book!

Let me just tell you, I love dystopian books, and this trilogy is a wonderful one to get your hands on! I love indie authors and Heather Carson is by far my favorite one! She is a great author and I love how much she interacts with her fans. She is the best!

Project Dandelion: Resistance is the final book in the series and it perfectly wraps up the series in a nice little package with a bow. I love how she didn’t leave any loose ends on the characters I was interested in!

The dynamics on the actions scenes in this one were amazing! I felt like this book was constantly “go-go-go” and I loved it! I really enjoyed all of the military action scenes and loved all of the female roles and strengths within the book.

I feel like her books have a feminist vibe to theme and I love how the main character is not afraid to take action throughout the book. That was one of my favorite things about her storytelling– was that the main character got shit done! And a lot of the side characters did as well.

I could say so much more about the book but I don’t want to give spoilers away! All I will say is I loved it! READ IT!

I would recommend not only this book, but this series to anyone who likes dystopia themed books! I loved the first one, loved the second one, and begged her to write a third one! I am so happy she did! I needed some answers and I am so happy I got what I needed! I cannot wait to see what else Heather Carson does with her writing career. I hope to see other works from her someday.

I absolutely enjoyed this story! The entire series has been a blast, and book 3 did not disappoint! I highly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of Hunger Games, or militaristic dystopians!

Narrator was perfect as always. she managed to capture the mood of each moment.

Heather Carson brings us the final installment of the Project Dandelion series. The characters are raw survivalists for whom I found myself rooting from Book 1 to the end of Book 3.

The series follows the story of Katrina and her friends, from the time she wakes up in a sealed bunker, to the time she, with her friends reenter a world changed by disaster, to finally the time she is resolved to save, not only herself, but the friends who have become her family.

Throughout this series, ones own will to survive is tested as loyalties are formed. I believe Carson’s series belongs aside many of the great post apocalyptic ya books written. However, this story is so much more than some of the ones that may come to mind. Indeed, the characters feel much more believable and their survivalist tactics much more realistic than ”those other books”.

I can't wait to see what Heather Carson has on store for us next!

Great series!!

The third installment of project dandelion did not disappoint. As the series progressed all of the characters grew and molded to a strong unit. Several of the project dandelion kids have joined the resistance and they are finding their way in the new world.

I’m like a proud mama watching from
the sidelines. The girls, Katrina, Dreya, and Mia are awesome. I love their friendship and how they stick together no matter what!

I’d recommend this series to kids 13+. Due to sexual suggestion, and post apocalyptic violence. If your a fan of the Hunger Games, and The Maze Runner definitely check this series out. Similar with kids but entirely on its own.

Ahhh I have really enjoyed the characters in this series. I'm not sure if this was the conclusion or if there will be more. If there is more I certainly look forward to it.

I love a strong female lead, especially a young one, in a situation where technology can't help, because there is no technology. All characters are growing and maturing and some are creating the future.

Thank you Heather Carson for allowing me the priveledge of a free audio of this book I really enjoyed the entire series so far and enjoyed the narrator.

I look forward to what this author has install for us as she was new to me prior to this series.

I received a free audio copy of this book directly from the author for an honest review.

Utterly devoured and will almost certainly be one I will listen to again, I have already demanded my mom listens to it and she’s not a huge dystopian fan but I know she would love these. The characters are well thought out as is the plot and the world building I honestly love this series.

*****SPOILERS*******

I would love to hear more about this world and wonder if more will come as it was a very open ended. What happened to Becca, Ethan, Willow and co? Is Lark still out there somewhere? Who wins?! I need to know. I get it’s up to us to use our imagination or whatever but I want to knooooow 😂😁

Umm Not What I Expected

Not what I expected. This book was the best out of the three however it was a bit anticlimactic. I felt like we kept going back a little here and there to where we already were. And then the ending... ummm I know I might not be liked for this but that ending was not great. It was rushed and to me it was like uh oh I need to end the book here ya go.. insert ending here... book done. I wish we got to see more of what actually happened in the battles and we didn’t. So overall the series was ok but not the best.

Worth it!!

Little did I know, when I started book one 8 hours ago, that I wouldn’t be able to stop reading until the entire series was complete...
So, here I am, 4 AM, closing the final page of an amazing book... was it worth losing my sleep over? Abso-freakin-lutely! Not only am I a grown woman mooning over James (an 18-19 yr old boy) but I’m pretty sure I have a crush on Sergeant Major Floyd... crap!
Well, I truly loved this series and cannot wait to see what this author does next!!

Excellent Young Adult Sci-Fi

The third in the series still leaves our dandelions hanging. Survival is not assured and yet they've come a long way. My favorite thing about the way this series is written is strong female and male characters. Social interaction between the aging teenagers is realistic and also reaches beyond into the challenges facing a Post-Apocalyptic world. I'm looking forward to more in the series.

n this highly anticipated conclusion Carson brings us back to the resistance. What will happen to those who have fought and what will they have to give up for the ultimate promise of peace. A thought provoking ending that had me engaged to the last word. I highly recommend this series for anyone looking for a book that entertains, while exploring the idea of human rights and what we each are willing to give up in this world.

Happy Ending?

Not the story I expected, and it felt like the author was rushing through it. In a world like this, we need setting details (which I’m usually happy to forego). As with the other books, I wanted more emotional connection with the characters and didn’t truly understand the sudden turnabout from the shero. This didn’t feel like “the end” of the story for sure.

I can’t tell you how much I love the series. For this being the first time reading anything written by this author I love her writing style and I can’t wait to read more. I hope she comes out with a next book in the series I need to see what happens I’ll be waiting on baited breath. I will have to try reading some of her other stories in the meantime.

A good readbut it has holes in it....

I loked the story baseline a lot, my only gripe is that its too short in each book. There are so many challenges that have been neglected its criminal. To top it off you get your Prequel after you read the first book - not cool. Even book 3 leaves you hanging.. A good read otherwise

I Need More!

I couldn’t put this series down. It’s full of action, suspense and emotional turmoil. The author has an amazing grasp on human nature and what might happen in unprecedented circumstances. Book 3 gives your heart a little rest but you know it’s far from over. This can’t be the end...right?!?

Once again Heather Carson created a book that is hard to put down! Book three continues the story so beautifully. While it is slightly concerning how easily one could imagine this story coming to life, Heather Carson has created a world you can envision! I know there are rumors of a 4th book and while the story line could wrap up nicely here, I am hoping that 4th book is on the horizon!

This book wonderfully rounded out the trilogy. I entirely enjoyed finally getting to visualize the cabin and the mountain valley Katrina grew up it. It felt like I was back in Montana.

There was plenty of character growth throughout the story as well. And I feel like it ended perfectly.

Overall I loved reading this series and would definitely recommend any Heather Carson book.

I really enjoyed this series and this book was a great conclusion to the trilogy. I was right there with our characters up until the end. I would, however, love to see more of this series. Not that the ending wasn't good, I'm just invested in these characters now and would love to see what happens and what they do next.

Enjoyed the continuing journey of Katrina and her friends. Katrina ends up in the mountains with 2 friends after a war happens at the military base with her dad. This book ended on a what ??? for me so I am anxious to read the last book in this series.

I really enjoyed the part of Katrina at the cabin.

Will there be more?

The story continued - then it stopped. After the roller coaster ride and drama I guess I expected a little more from the ending.

This was the best book out of the series so far for me. Slightly more detail and emotion makes Resistance stand out against its precedents. The plot has been interesting, and actually educational, but the books themselves lack some substance. I’ll definitely be reading the fourth and final book, solely because now I am invested and need closure…
