Welcome to The Wolfe family. A family full of mysteries and secrects. We meet them all...i think. This Rocks book. The oldest brother hated his father for good reason, but after his father's death Rock is still being controlled. Enter Lacey...his father's attorney. Rock can't keep his hands and thoughts off her. This is intriguing. The Wolfe's have a lot to hide. I can't can't to see what happens.

The Hero: Rock Wolfe - he tried to kill his father when he was fourteen years old and was sent to a Military Academy for the troubled kids of Millionaires. He learned his lesson that his father wasn’t worth it, but still dreamed of his fathers death. Twenty years later his father was shot in the head at his penthouse and none of his kids were sorry. Rock lives in Montana but needs to go to New York for the reading of the will which specifies that all the kids had to be present.
The heroine: Lacey Ward - she was the Estate Attorney for Derek Wolfe. She wasn’t looking forward to the reading of the will since Derek Wolfe was worth billions and none of the family present would be happy about the contents. Rock was the last to show up and unlike the rest of the family, dressed in designer dresses and Armani suits, Rock strolled in wearing Levi’s, black leather boots and a biker jacket.
The Story: Rock is forced to stay in New York in order to fulfill the terms of his fathers will and secure his brothers and sisters inheritance. Though he wants Lacey and isn’t willing to let her get away, so he agrees to try as long as she agrees to help him. This book gets steamy very fast and there is a ton of chemistry between Rock and Lacey.
The book is told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Troy Duran, my favorite narrator. He has a very deep and clear voice which is fantastic for any romantic Hero. Kendall Taylor did the narration from Lacey’s point of view, and I am not a big fan of her voice but it did fit well for the attorney.
The story is very steamy and I liked the romance. These two characters were total opposites and couldn’t keep their hands off each other. There was the mystery of who killed Derek Wolfe and quite a bit of suspense. It seemed like everyone in the Wolfe family was hiding something, including Rock and someone had it out for him.
The one thing I didn’t like about this book was the fact that not everything was resolved at the end. There wasn’t a cliffhanger, but by the end, we still don’t know who murdered Derek and why. Since each book in this series will be about one of the Wolfe siblings, who knows if or when we will get those answers.

This one was one I was intrigued by but it didn't quite hit the mark for me personally. If you like sex between the Mc within 15 minutes of their meeting it might work for you though. It was heavy on the sex but not so much on the connection between the characters. I was intrigued by the who done it aspects of the plot and kept reading purely for that. I was really thinking this would have more MC tones to it but it didn't. The mystery of who killed his father was a good plot line though and even though this one wasn't for me personally for the romance I did enjoy that aspect of the book.
This does end in a cliffhanger and I am unsure if I want to continue on even though I didn't get my answers.

Hellion on Wheels...
I was so excited for this new series by Helen Hardt. I was reeled in right from the first chapter, it's that awesome. Rock is everything bad but so, so good. Black leather, a biker and green eyes, I am hooked. Rock returns to New York very reluctantly. The only thing that makes it worth the trip is Lacey. She is his father's lawyer and is handling his will. All Rock can think of is handling her, between the sheets.
Rock has secrets he is keeping close to his chest, for now. I look forward to finding out about these secrets in the next book.

When I heard Helen Hardt had another series coming out, I was intrigued as hell. I love her other work, so I was excited to see what this would entail and honestly if you liked her other world she created. You will love this... Maybe more. It's hot, it's intense and the plot starts off thick and had me completely spellbound from page one.
Rock Wolfe?

Where do I start? Well, I'm gonna need me some of that. He's everything I love about a bad boy. He's dark and gritty and oozes control in all the right away. He was a rebel and he played the part perfectly! It was made apparent that he hated his father in the early stages of the book, so after he tried killing him at a young age, he was sent off to a boarding school to reshape him but the only thing that made him do was to act out more... fast forward 20 years and he gets a phone call saying his father's been killed and he is wanted back in New York with his family for the reading of the will. But why? Why would he of left anything to the son that wanted to see him dead?
Enters: Estate attorney Lacey Ward. Shes all but thrilled to be the one reading out this will, especially to the eldest Wolfe son Rock. But from the moment Rock walked into the room, was the moment she lost all train of thought. She had no idea what to expect of Rock Wolfe and she sure as hell did not expect what she got. She was fixated on him and couldn't draw her attention away from the muscled, bad boy biker.
These two together? The physical attraction was undeniable, they wanted each other moment they saw one another but the connection and chemistry between the two? That was off the charts HOT. It was an almost an instant connection when it came to these two. They could try and fight it but there would be no use!
Rock thought he knew all the family secrets, he thought he knew the darkest and dirtiest ones but it seems as though that's not the case. So many mysteries start to pop up, so many twists and turns and questions that he didn't have answers to. Will these secrets come out? And if they do where does that leave Rock? and his love and passion for Lacey?
This was fantastic! I had the chance to read it a couple of times already and I honestly could not get enough. Ms. Hardt is known for her ability to suck her readers into a plot so thick and heavy, that you feel like you are drowning in emotions and angst and heat. This was somewhat the same. The family feel to it, the rich heir but add in more suspense, the mystery behind the Wolfe family and the undeniable attraction these two main characters had for each other and you get this masterpiece and I don't say that lightly. This is the start of something I feel is going to be epic and I cannot wait to see whats she's got in store for us!
Once again, Helen throws me into a plot with so many twists and turns that I didn't see coming. It was the right amount of passion, suspense, mystery, and heat and the perfect start to what’s promises to be an amazing series and has left me craving more
Highly recommend picking this up!

Being sent away at the age of fourteen. After spending four years in a private military school, for something he didn't do, Rebel is now going back home, for the reading of his father, Dereck Wolfe's will. He might not have succeeded, but someone finally did the deed.
After revising, Dereck Wolfe's will, Lacey was confused as to the reason for the revision, but as an Estate Lawyer, as long as nothing is illegal, she paid no mind to the reason, but no one was going to be happy...especially the absent, Rock Wolfe.
When, Rock did finally show up for the reading, he wasn't able to concentrate on what was being said, because, Lacey was hot, and he envisioned all the ways he wants to make her, his.
After all possessions were divided, and because, Rock was day dreaming, he didn't hear what was said. He noticed the silence, and the everyones stares.
What was said that caused everyone's silence and stares? Well, I've given you all you're going to get.
Helen Hardt, is magnificent with her story telling, and this book is no exception.

Wolfes of Manhattan is a brand new series by Helen Hardt. What an amazing way to begin this series.
Rock Wolfe is the true definition of an alpha male. He is dark, rough and raw. He definitely demands control in any given situation. He has a dark past that comes back to haunt him. He had no desire to go back for the will reading his father had demanded, however, curiosity definitely has the best of him. He knows that there are no good intentions to be had, but does he have a choice? One thing he knows is he is very pleased with the lawyer, Lacey.
Lacey Ward is a force to be reckoned with. She is tough, beautiful and gets what she wants. One thing she knows is that Rock is a bad boy biker that demands all of her attention. Is it possible to be this attracted to him in such a short time? She is all about professionalism, but will Rock break that exterior down?

For better or for worse, this book is totally not what I expected. It was equal parts murder mystery and romance. The story doesn’t end in a cliffhanger per se but the plot continues into the rest of the series with something of a HEA for now…
The couple interactions were strange. They started off with instalust but then called it quits only to run into each other everywhere. The h is constantly dating other people. They are more like friends with benefits.
The mystery portion includes a bunch of side characters. Normally too much mystery annoys me in a romance novel but I am mildly curious to find out what happened. However it appears I will have to read the entire series to find closure.
Overall i neither liked nor disliked the book. It took awhile to finish but the writing was decent and i might read the second book in the series - just not anytime soon

Interesting concept of murder mystery smut.
If your looking for more of a must with plot as an after though this is it.
I was just annoyed with the whole communication between Rock (the eldest brother) and his siblings. They’re f*coed up but man why can’t they just have a fucking conversation. Idk not for it. Wont be continuing this series

I have loved helen hardt books and this one is no different I cant wait to find out the mystery. This book is full of steamy stuff between Rock and lacey. Now the trick is to find out the secrets of his siblings to end the mystery of who killed their sick and perverted father.

My literal pet peeve is when the Epilogue isn’t about the heroine/hero but includes like a teaser of the next book.

The beginning of the book was almost all sexy scenes. I wish there was more about the whole plot of the book. The middle and end of the book really picked up and makes me want to continue reading this awesome series. I hope we get more Lacey and Rock in the next book.

Just finished reading and as always Helen came through with flying Colors. Love reading this romantic and mysterious and interesting book. Now I have to wait until the next book comes out to find out what happens next. Highly recommend reading.

Rock Wolfe is the true definition of an alpha male. He is dark, rough and raw. He definitely demands control in any given situation. He has a dark past that comes back to haunt him. He had no desire to go back for the will reading his father had demanded, however, curiosity definitely has the best of him. He knows that there are no good intentions to be had, but does he have a choice? One thing he knows is he is very pleased with the lawyer, Lacey.
Lacey Ward is a force to be reckoned with. She is tough, beautiful and gets what she wants. One thing she knows is that Rock is a bad boy biker that demands all of her attention. Is it possible to be this attracted to him in such a short time? She is all about professionalism, but will Rock break that exterior down?

REBEL Wolfes of Manhattan One by Helen Hardt
I was intrigued when I found Helen Hardt had been working on another series. I couldn’t imagine anything being as good as the Steel Brothers. However this new series is totally captivating. I was pulled into the story from the first. After being banished to military school from the family at 14, (just because he tried to kill dear ole dad) he was estranged for the next 20 years until he is summoned back to Manhattan with the murder of his father. Lacy Ward is the estate attorney who has the job of telling Rock and his siblings that Rock must move from Montana where he is leading a biker’s life to be the new CEO of Wolfe. If he doesn’t, the company will be sold and his siblings will be out of luck concerning the company billions. Lacy has caught his eye from the start, and he can’t hardly do anything but fantasize about her and what he wants to do. This story is the full package, it has drama, smokin’ hot chemistry, lots of secrets, intrigue, mystery and a cliffhanger. Definitely a 5 star story, I wish I could give it more.

Rebel is incredibly intriguing. A man is murdered and wreaks havoc on his family from beyond the grave. Helen Hardt created a story with so many twists and turns that you have to keep turning pages to see what happens next. The Wolfe family seems to have a lot of secrets and skeletons in their closets. Hopefully each sibling will get their own story. First up, Rock Wolfe.

Thrust into a role he wants no part of and has no training for, Rock has no choice but to make a go of it. His brothers and sister are counting on him. There's something treacherous going on and Rock is going to get to the bottom of it with Lacey's help.

I was so excited to see that a new series was coming out from one of my favorite authors. This story is intense and hot. Rock stole my heart. Tough on the exterior, he really is a gentle guy. The way he lives and protects the ones he loves speaks volumes to his character. Lacey is an attorney thrown into an uncomfortable situation. She knows the second she sees Rock she is his. Their story is full of love but a murder investigation is hanging over their heads. Then need to figure it out if they can before someone goes to jail that is innocent. The siblings I need more of. Riley seems timid, but exudes confidence as a runway model. Reid is more of an uptight businessman. Roy is the introverted recluse. They are a crazy mix but they do mix perfectly. Cannot wait for Recluse to come out!

But by whom? Rock and his family find themselves in a terrible situation. He has two brothers and a sister. Is someone hiding something? Helen, you've done it again with a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Waiting on bated breath. I so love your work.

Rock Wolfe is a loner, lives in Montana and has a very easy existence until his brother Reid calls to tell him their father was murdered. Rock finds himself back in Manhattan a place he left at fourteen and has never been back since.
Lacey is an Estate attorney, she is very driven being one of the youngest partners at her firm, she also drew up the will of Derek Wolfe. She knew the contents were going to be hard on the family but this was her job. Nothing prepared Lacey for the storm that was Rock Wolfe, he made her feel things that she had never felt before, it was dangerous.
