When the heart wants what it wants, how do we tell it no? Rachael Jones is a sweet, compassionate, soft spoken, God fearing, hopeless romantic trapped inside of a cold, callous, loveless relationship with a man that she swore would be her forever. But as time goes on, and the dark days become bitter, chilly nights, earth shattering secrets are revealed, threatening to tear apart the once happy home. Holding fast to her religion, and the unconscious lessons from her upbringing, Rachael remains planted and determined to see things through to preserve the sanctity of her marriage, optimistic for better days. The decision to remain devoted has the ability to leave her breathless. In a tale of one sided love and misguided lessons, the ending will leave you awestruck.
I choose the rating because the book had me hooked from the beginning. I'm still like no this can't be happening. This book was great. How can a pastor do this to the children? How can he do it to his wife? Then he made it seem like it was their fault. Ugh he made me mad how he was manipulating those women sice they were teenagers. I sorry it had to bed the way it did. Again great book and will recommend it to my fellow friends and family who like to read.
Story turned out entirely different then what i expected! Never expected the pastor to catch Aids just figure he would get caught but the ending blew me away! Never saw or expected the wife to commit suicide with her sons!! That was the sad part, like she the death sentence for her and her children!! (When he asked her to help him i could have jumped in the book🌸
Omg this book was crazy that nasty ass preacher deserve everything he had coming to him the way he manipulated those girls and his wife how she stood by his side the whole thinking he was a man of god and turnt how he wasn’t not but the devil a must read book book
This book was good ,just wasnt my type of book. What happened to Racheal ? I still would support this author in her next book. But this was a " ok" book too me. But it was definitely good for a person's FIRST story. David was a sick ,nasty individual...just sickening!
