Excellent resource for primary classroom to read with students learning about the Solstice. I wonder if this book has a southern hemisphere edition. While it helps kids to understand the solar calendar,
the perspective was very northern hemisphere-centric. 3 ☆☆☆ for simplicity. It could have gained a star by having easier vocabulary (font size and word-count great). Another star if it had a more global perspective.

This book introduces the astronomical event solstice.

This book, illustrated with full color labeled diagrams and photographs, gives a basic introduction to solstices. It describes how, why, and when they occur.

Additional facts, a glossary, and an index are included at the back of the book.

With wonderful photographs and informational text I would use this book as a read aloud or independent reading for elementary students 1st-4th grade.
