Rate this book
Celebrate your love of Broadway with this quirky collection of recipes inspired by your favorite musicals from The Sound of Music to Hamilton .

There’s nothing quite like dinner and a show, but tonight’s menu is guaranteed to be a real crowd-pleaser. From Tara Theoharis, author of The Minecrafter’s Cookbook and creator of The Geeky Hostess blog, comes a cookbook of over fifty recipes inspired by the most popular Broadway musicals of the last ninety years.

Warm up your appetite with some Eggrolls for Mr. Goldstone ( Gypsy ) served with a side of Too Darn Hot Sauce ( Kiss Me, Kate ). Looking for some liquid courage? Whip yourself up Another Vodka Stinger ( Company ) or make good with The Wizard and Ice ( Wicked ). Need something with a bit more substance? Schnitzel With Noodles ( The Sound of Music ) is one of our favorite things, or you can spice it up with Mama’s Well-Peppered Ragu ( Chicago ). Then again, if you’re craving something really indulgent, try our Angel (Food Cake) of Music ( The Phantom of the Opera ). It’s guaranteed to bring down the chandelier.

With fun illustrations and gorgeous food photography throughout, this book is the perfect gift for season ticket holders, drama kids, and Broadway fans of all ages.

This book is fantastic. The recipes look amazing, the art is adorable and the theater references are pun-tastic!

If you need a holiday gift idea for anyone in your life that loves theater, this cookbook is a no-brainer. Theoharis really poured her heart into this project, and it shows in each and every recipe. It's so much fun to flip through! I've already purchased an additional copy for my mom.

If you love Broadway, run-don't-walk to get a copy of this book, then invite over your best friends, tell them to dress up as characters from their favorite musical, and throw a dinner party they'll never forget! I particularly enjoy the surprising addition of party ideas, which is a nice call-out to Theoharis' popular blog, The Geeky Hostess.

This book has three of my favorite things: broadway, food, and puns. The recipes aren’t going to win any awards, but they are simple and approachable. There’s even a recipe for pasta with meatless balls that I’d be willing to try next time I am in the mood for RENT.

I love everything about this book! The recipes and tips are wonderful and the recipe photos are beautiful, but what I absolutely love most is the writing! This book is full of puns and humor and references to all of the plays I've seen and some I haven't seen. If you're a true theater nerd, (like me) you'll love this book!

A Must Have for Broadway Theater and Food Lovers!
The drink recipes in the summer book announcement enabled me to properly watch The Hamilton on Disney+. Now the full book is very satisfying. Meaningful captions, useful tips and wonderful photos. The musicals are smartly matched with creative recipes. The photo is the desert treat Honey Honey recipe inspired from Mama Mia!

My friend bought me this as a gift! Some of my favorite things! (Points if you know what show THAT line is from!) It’s the perfect gift for any broadway/foodie fan - literally a treat!!! 🎭 My hubs made Chicago’s Ragu last night and it was so good! Next up is Sound of Music inspired Schnitzl! 🎼

What a fun concept -- recipes inspired by Broadway musicals. Could use a few more photos of recipes. Wasn't inspired enough to bookmark and try any of the recipes, though.
