Wall: Nine stories from Edge Hill writers

Rate this book
Thirty years after the breaching of the Berlin Wall, the building of new walls is once again on the political agenda. In response to this, the writers in Edge Hill University's NRG (Narrative Research Group) share nine stories exploring the theme of walls in the spirit of creative exchange and crossing the barriers.

The NRG is a group of widely published and prize-winning fiction writers who meet regularly to discuss their own practice and develop work-in-progress.

Featuring an introduction by editors Ailsa Cox and Billy Cowan, plus the short stories: 'Silence' by Carol Fenlon, 'A Good Man' by Billy Cowan, 'One Small Thing' by A.J. Ashworth, 'Home' by Elizabeth Baines, 'Handprints' by Philippa Holloway, 'A New World' by Jim Hinks, 'Opposite Sides' by John D. Rutter, 'Wall' by Ailsa Cox, and 'Safely Gathered In' by Sarah Schofield.

Design and photography by Jamie Summers.

Launched at the Edge Hill University Festival of Ideas, October 2019.
