Rate this book
The third planet from the sun is mankind's home - but how well do you know it? Its molten core, for instance, is hotter than the surface of the sun. If you're looking for a really nice coffee table book, this is not it. Pictures are stunning but I've seen better in the National Geographic at my dentist's office. I'm not a genius, and it's been years since I was in school, but I could still spot places where facts were exaggerated and speculation stated as fact.

Though this book did have a lot of interesting information in it, I enjoyed the photos most of all. I especially liked the bright colors of the animals. Since I will probably never get to experience many of these things for myself, I have to live vicariously through the pages of this book.
