The time has come for the showdown against the wicked god. There’s just one problem... Touya and company need to purify the venom surrounding Isengard first! But fret not, Uncle Kousuke is here to help. He just needs a little assistance nurturing a very special sapling. Meanwhile, Touya thinks back to Earth and finds his thoughts returning to the family he left behind. The final battle begins at last, ringing in a story of swords, sorcery, and very unhelpful Unicorns.
The classic writing issue. If you make your character too powerful, where is the fun? This series, and to a much greater extent, this particular book, demonstrate the problem perfectly.
There is not a lot all that interesting in this volume. No one actually has any doubts as to how this is going to go. There are no interesting new characters.
It might be time to bring this series to a close. It was fun while it lasted, but like a drunken bar patron that refuses to leave, it may be overstaying its welcome...
By volume 19 the reader should know what to expect: a straight forward story about an OP MC and his friends dealing without too much issue with every day (for a fantasy setting anyway) and more world shattering events. In this case more world shattering than normal, but finally resolving some of the major plotlines is a good thing even if some of it came across a bit corny which to be honest is nothing new to the series. Quality literature it is not, but who cares, it was entertaining and that is what matters.
I've been reading this series since I saw the anime. I liked how the character development created a great story. I hope that Patora's next light novel book or series does just a good if not better
So much for all, glad the adventure will continue as stated by the author the wedding is still upcoming and all the event's entailed. Also home life and new responsibility.
This book had some really good plot twists in it, I have enjoyed reacting the series, the battles in this one had me worried how bad the world was going to get destroyed im looking forward to reading about the wedding and how me manages the trials ahead.
Fantastic read! I absolutely love the development of the main character, and the humor the main character projected! I cant wait for the next book to come out!!
