The Single Plane Golf Swing: Play Better Golf the Moe Norman Way

“Through this wonderful book, frustrated golfers can learn to swing like Moe [Norman] and improve their games.” —Anthony Robbins, #1 New York Times–bestselling author The mysterious and reclusive genius Moe Norman is acknowledged as the best ball-striker in the history of golf by many of the game’s greats. The Single Plane Golf Play Better Golf the Moe Norman Way reveals the secrets of the swing that enabled him to hit the ball solidly with unerring accuracy and consistency—every time. Norman’s simple, efficient, and easily understood Single Plane Swing has improved the games of thousands of golfers. Golf professional Todd Graves, known as “Little Moe” and regarded as the world authority on Norman’s swing, comprehensively teaches readers the mechanics, drills, and feelings of the Single Plane Swing that Moe called “The Feeling of Greatness.” Graves shares Norman’s brilliant insights and liberating approach to the game and demonstrates why the conventional “tour” swing is too complex and frustrating for the majority of amateurs. Illustrated with more than 300 photographs and written with Tim O’Connor, Norman’s biographer, the book also engagingly tells Norman’s bittersweet life story and explores the teacher-student bond forged between Norman and his protégé Graves.“One of golf’s greatest untold stories, Moe Norman’s life illustrated a simple and powerful greatness is built from practicing the right swing in the right way. In this book, Todd Graves has given us a blueprint for that swing, for those practice habits, and most of all for a process that builds success.” —Dan Coyle, New York Times-bestselling author of The Culture Code

Best Golf instruction book I have read.

I have been playing golf for over 30 years now. My lowest handicap was 4. I just retired a year ago and was very excited to play more golf. However, this past summer was the lowest point of my golf career. My handicap went from 7.5 to a 14. I was playing and practicing a lot. And getting worse by the day. Until August. I had beat myself up enough over the years with this game and didn’t want to do it anymore. I stopped playing. It is now January in New Hampshire and the golf season long over. I saw an advertisement for this book and watched a couple YouTube videos on Moe Norman, then decided to buy this book. It was very well written, with great instruction. A must read for any golfer struggling with their game or a beginner. Can’t wait to put this instruction into practice.

Great book on a Canadian icon and his unique golf swing. I want to learn Moe's swing. It will take time to study and practise it. Todd Graves and this book is the way to start.

The photos and text are great but must be read and re-read to master.

p. 145: The Talent Code: Unlocking the Secret of Skill in Sports, Art, Music, Math, and Just About Everything Else

p. 147: "Making mistakes is not the problem. Not fixing them immediately is the problem."

p. 153: "In training for golf, feeling is the teacher."

p. 187: Larry Olson, president of Natural Golf

p. 190: "Moe helped me understand that the most important moment is the present one."

Great Book

Bought this book for my kindle. Had heard about Mr. Norman and was interested about his Single Plane Swing. Read the book and did his swing exercises as written. I came to Florida for a vacation and thought while I am here i will try my new swing at the driving range. I was totally surprised at the results of that large bucket of balls that I used for my new Single Plane Swing. I realize that it was the first time I tried it and it might have just been a fluke but I never hit the ball on the sweet spot as I did that day, and straight...it was awesome. Thanks for introducing me to this book..

Simply Works

I have been to several golf schools that say they worked with Moe, promised me I would be a good golfer if I used their techniques. I never did improve that must and only occasionally but clean crisp shots. After following the instructions in this book I am hitting the farthest and straightest in my years in golf. At 74 I'm hitting my gap wedge 118+. 5 wood 200 and only getting better. Thanks for teaching me an easy way to play.

Moe. A good man.

I think the greatest compliment I can give about this book is that I really wish I could’ve met Moe Norman. He seemed to be a fascinating man and thank you for sharing his story.

Best Golf book ever

Teaching of the golf swing had not changed in nearly 100 years until a young man from Canada changed it. If you struggle with golf and inconsistency then try the single plane swing as you have nothing to lose.

I have to start over, there's a lot going on here.

Might be a good winter read when I can swing a club in the basement and NOT outside.

Mo Was quite a guy.
