Gizzy’s my name. Hard G, no matter what Mr. Meyer says. I had no plans on ever getting involved with him, but one day while sitting in the wrath and ruin left behind by Priestess Beatrix, I decided that he should lend us a helping hand. I didn’t count on him bringing a friend along and I can see that the boy needs help. He needs someone to intercede on his behalf—to save him from the devil incarnate, and that’s just what I intend to do. After all, the only way to wound a monster is to steal what’s closest to his heart. Whether he wants to admit it or not.
The Bastard
It seems that I’ll never get away from this emo goth cult. Apparently this little girl wants me to help them rebuild their house of worship—like I care or something. But as I’ve said before, curiosity has always been a sin of mine, and I decided to bring Ichabod along since he practically begged me once I let him read the letter. This G girl is starting to test my patience, though. The longer I listen to her babble about how it’s my duty to help her, the more I feel like playing some tunes and tearing her apart. Patience is a virtue and all that, right? What I’m trying to say is that I know where the bones are buried and the new girl thinks she has a one up on me. Little does she know, I’ve got a trick left up my sleeve and when the moment is right, I’m going to play my hand.
The Unloved
I don’t know which way is up anymore. I didn’t think we’d ever be going back to Bea’s old church since the last we knew, she burned it to the ground then disappeared. I miss her. Even though she fed me to the wolf and told me she didn’t love me anymore, I can’t help but wonder where she went. Curiosity is Lakyn’s sin, mine is wanting to belong to someone. It’s why I won’t leave him; I feel like maybe one day he’ll come around and see me as something more than just a body to be used and abused. He left me, though, just like Beatrix. Gizzy’s made me an offer I can’t refuse and if I can’t beat the Devil, then I may as well join him.
Carrion is not a standalone. It is advised to read Scavengers and Vultures first.

An intense and devious conclusion to the Malediction series! This story had me on the edge of my seat. I sat here turning page after page, drinking it down like sacrificial wine. Unpredictable, dark with twists and turns I didn't see coming. This was a story that left me breathless and chasing answers. Perfect ending to this series, WOW!
"He had rage in his heart and when he's removed from his keeper, I get to see him for what he can be and not for what he is."
The “squad” is back!! Don’t mind me, I tend to get overly excited when one of my favorite authors releases a new book in the series that I’ve grown to absolutely adore! Abandoned by Bea and living basically as a willing slave to Lakyn, Ichabod thinks that, perhaps, death would be a better option. However, when a mysterious letter arrives and the boys return to face their past, blood will flow because there can only be one Priestess and one leader to be hailed. When I just started it, I knew I was in for something seriously sick and Ms. Olson didn’t disappoint! The ending was simply explosive and I couldn’t get enough of it! Definitely recommended to all fans of good ole murder and gore. This entire trilogy is a must-read.
First off you can't read this book without reading Scavengers and Vultures first. This isn't a stand-alone story you will be lost if you skip ahead. Lakyn and Ichabod are still together for lack of a better word lol and receive a letter from a mysterious G, asking for there help in the aftermath of Trixie's disappearance from the church of Satan. Of course things don't go as plan.... well I guess it depends on who plans they were following. It's very hard to review this without giving anything away. But if you like this author's previous books in this series you'll definitely love this 3rd book. Lakyn love him or hate him makes for good story time. I've never hate a character so much, but love reading his snarky responses to whatever situation he's put himself in.
What an epic conclusion to these three wicked characters from hell. I can’t say that I wanted these books to end, but this ending is everything I could have ever wanted for them. Olson is like the Rob Zombie of the book world. Her characters are perfectly fucked up and entertaining and the stories are deviously dark. I don’t want to dive too deep into the plot and give anything away, but if you love these three charming and deceiving characters, buckle the hell up. It’s always a wild ride when Lakyn’s driving and it’s one you want to be riding shotgun for.
All Hail Lakyn! Oh, that was so much fun! I absolutely loved getting to go on another adventure with my favorites. Lakyn is hands down my number one, but Ichabod has my love too. Bloody, unrepentant, f*cked up, and perfect. Exactly what you would expect from Yolanda. If you loved Scavengers and Vultures you won’t want to miss Carrion!
Oooh. I must admit that I was both happy and sad to see Carrion. Happy for a new read with these characters, yet sad that this is the conclusion to the series. I love reading about Lakyn as that boy always cracks me up. In the 3rd book, Lakyn and Ichobod go to the famous church in the series. They meet someone new and things go...let's just say shit happens and frienships are tested. I was flipping through those pages to see what was going to happen next. #LakynHellYes.
What an amazing story! Another visit with at least some of the crew who have been critical to the Malediction Saga, this story is another fun trip with the guys. This story follows Ichabod and Lakyn as they follow up on a request made of them. In true fashion, nothing seems to go according to plan, but that almost might depend on who's plan you're following. The push and pull between the all characters is fun and intriguing and definitely keeps you wondering what will happen next.
What an epic conclusion to the Malediction trio, and I have to say i will miss these charters. Of course Yolanda has give us an amazing ending to this series and I will miss Lakyn and Ichabod, but could not ask or better! This series is a must read!!
I can’t really do this book justice without spoilers, so if you have read the first two books and love them as much as I do this book is perfect for you and if you don’t know them yet, be sure to read the first two in the Malediction series.
Oh Ichabod I’m gonna miss you. I love this final instalment to the series. It’s dark, devious and Laykin is up to his usual tricks. Sure it’s a quick read but it definitely packed a punch. I’m going to miss this trio of psychos.
After a few pages, I decided to not continue Carrion because I kinda had enough after reading Scavengers and Vultures. Those stories were depraved, sick and twisted (and funny 🤣 horror does that to me!) but that's it!! Things just go on and on... and on...; just more of the same... and repetitive. 😕 And after two books, it turned out I'm done. 😁 I'm not going to leave a rating as this was a DNF for me.
Another great read, this one I couldn't put down once I started it. I really enjoyed this whole series and I love love Lakyn. Must Read, more then 5 stars
