A useful guide for widows and widowers as they make their way through the valley of grief and beyond. The author leads seminars on this topic and I imagine this book is a condensed version of her classes. Getting from loss to living comfortably alone is a journey of indeterminate length, but the guide provides a possible framework for your path. I think the word is “secrets” in the title is pure marketing-speak. I’d say “steps” or “stages” are more appropriate, but either of those might not sell as many books. Nevertheless, I’m grateful for this slim volume (that’s a good thing, because it’s focused) and I think it’s well worth reading for anyone dealing with life after a spouse dies.
