Can two baristas track down a gunman after the espresso shot heard ‘round the world?

When Marissa witnesses an attempted murder during the 4th of July parade, it starts a battle for her independence. She is forced to hide out in a safehouse, leaving her co-owner, Tandy, to run their coffee shop, track down the criminal, and, worse, plan Marissa’s wedding. Thankfully Tandy has help, but can she really trust the P.I. in a bow tie, her new deaf barista who acts more like a bartender, or a wedding planner who’s keeping secrets?

The threat on Marissa’s future goes from bad to worse when her bridal gown is covered in blood. Though her fiancé, Connor, agrees to give up his identity to join her in the Witness Protection Program, Marissa refuses to wave the white flag. Instead, she enlists Tandy to help her fight for truth, justice, and the Americano way.

Another fun book with Marissa and Tandy and it seems that trouble is still continuing to find them. These are two very different fun women who each LOVE their choice of drink. So, they love their little coffee and tea shop where they meet interesting customers. However, some of the customers are a bit strange!
This story was so full of events that will make your head spin! Attempted murder, a chase for life, a crazy weird new guy, a wedding to plan, and through it all bits of romance and relationship issues.
From the very first chapter to the end there are so many twists and turns. These two women are like a magnet for mystery and trouble. But OH, the fun!
If you like to read "who done it" stories, then you'll love this newest book by Angela Ruth Strong.
It's entertaining, suspenseful, and just plain fun!
I highly recommend you pick it up!

A Latte Difficulty by Angela Ruth Strong is the third book in the CafFunicated Mysteries series. Marissa, Conner, Tandy, and Greg are ready to enjoy the 4th of July festivities, but Marissa witnesses an attempted murder at her and Tandy's coffee/tea shop. Even though she's planning her wedding, she has to go into hiding. Tandy enlists the help of a deaf ex barista who has juggling and lip-reading skills to run the shop. Can Marissa, Tandy, and their friends solve the mystery so Marissa can still have her big day?

A Latte Difficulty was a great read, filled with humor, eccentric characters, and twists and turns. I was given an ARC so all thoughts and opinions are my own.

A fun mystery

Tandy and Marissa are back, solving a new mystery after a gunman attempts to kill Randon, the multi-millionaire, and Marissa is the only witness. The best friends aren't sure what to believe or who they can trust.

Having just been reminded of the "do not worry" message Jesus gave where he mentions the way God clothes the flowers more beautifully than Solomon, I loved that this was a theme in this story as well. The reminder that our fear of God should be more than our fear of man was also so important. These were very well integrated into the story!

Angela Ruth Strong has written another cute story in the CafFUNated Mysteries series. Zam is a fun addition, with his lip-reading skills and showy drink-making style. I was surprised at the ending! While I knew the girls were mistaken with their guesses at the guilt of several characters, the actual accomplice was unexpected!

If you enjoy cozy mysteries, be sure to grab a copy of A Latte Difficulty and the rest of the books in the series. They are designed to be read together with very little recap of the previous stories or explanations of who the previously introduced characters are.

Fourth of July in Grace Springs is like Fourth of July in any other town...only hyped up on caffeine, and Tandy and Marissa are ready to invigorate their coffee/tea shop business by joining in all the festivities. But the fireworks really start when Marissa witnesses an attempted murder and is forced into hiding despite being in the middle of planning her wedding. It will take faith and good old fashioned American grit for Tandy, Marissa, and their friends to save both the summer celebration and Marissa’s big day.

With a colorful small town setting, a puzzling mystery, and eccentric characters, A Latte Difficultly blends all the flavors of a satisfying cozy mystery. Fans of the genre will love this book, regardless of whether they’ve read the first two books in the CafFUNated Mysteries series or not.

However, readers who have followed Tandy and Marissa from the beginning will especially enjoy A Latte Difficulty because their sweet, yet unlikely friendship really shines in this story, as do their individual faith journeys. Both protagonists grow as people throughout the series, and watching that progression is uplifting and enjoyable.

I highly recommend this book to both new and established cozy mystery fans who feel a pump or two of inspiration and faith can enhance any fictional brew.

‘There’s a fine line between fearless and senseless.’

Angela Ruth Strong takes us for another wonderful mystery in her CafFUNated series, starring the friends duo of Marissa and Tandy. This time around, someone has it in for the sweet clumsy Marissa and Tandy is trying to discover the culprit. I confess I did not guess whodunit at all! I loved seeing all these folks again and their little town is certainly one folks would want to visit. So, put your feet up, grab a cup of coffee (or tea) and settle in for a wonderful cozy mystery. I certainly hope there is more to come!

*My thanks to the author for a copy of this book. The opinion here in this review is my own.

A Latte Difficultly

A Latte Difficultly is a very entertaining book. I loved it from the beginning to the end. Marissa is a witness to a crime. She is trying to stay safe but having a hard time doing it. I loved Marissa, she was determined to solve the mystery of who did it.

Marissa’s fiancé has a dog which one of the best parts of the book. I loved Ranger who is a black lab. He has a problem with his tail that I never heard of. Read the book to see what it is. Also others pets in the story. I love having pets in a book, brings so much to the story.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author. This book review is my own opinion.

What’s more fun than a cozy mystery and a coffee shop...

“Marissa’s heart rate lurched. She stumbled backwards and gripped a chair for balance. Adrenaline surged through her like a triple shot espresso. She grabbed a stapler off the desk to use in self-defense.”

Oh, how I love Marissa! If you’re looking for a cozy mystery with humor, you’ll love a visit to The Caffeine Conundrum. Two best friends, Tandy and Marisa seem to find themselves in trouble once again and have to solve an attempted murder before Marissa is next. As Marissa goes to a safe house, Tandy is learning to survive running the cafe without her. This has some twists and turns that keep Tandy hopping. Planning a wedding has never been so stressful and Marissa finds herself trusting God more with her fears. I really like the characters in the series and the couples shine in this book, too. Of course. Marissa manages to let her klutziness get her into all sorts of trouble, which just adds to how much we love her. Some new characters show up in this book that will keep you guessing. I’m looking forward to some of their stories in the future.

“Perfect love casts out fear.” Strong shines with her look into the heart of God and how Marissa deals with her fears.

I would recommend reading this series in order to get the full impact of Tandy and Marissa’s stories. The books are all quick, light-hearted reads, which we all need right now. Angela Ruth Strong always has an underlying message in her books that point us to hope. In A Latte Difficulty she focuses on the fear of the Lord and not letting our own fears get in the way of our relationship with Him. I loved her heart and pointing us to God’s perspective. Marissa’s heart really shines in her relationships, too.

“She’d spend time with God and in prayer. Maybe all this happened so He could get her alone long enough to show her how much he loved her. How he needed to be her first love if she was going to keep this peace with her wherever she went.” Truly, isn’t that what God wants from all of us?

I read this book under my Kindle Unlimited account. I received an ARC of this book, too. All opinions in this review are only my honest opinions.

The third book in the CafFUNnated Mysteries, A Latté Difficulty, by Angela Ruth Strong, is a cozy winner. It is time for an extended celebration of the Fourth of July in the small town of Grace Springs. If you have read the first two novels in the series, you will welcome back old friends Marissa and Tandy, owners of the Caffeine Conundrum, and their boyfriends, Connor and Greg. While Marissa is in the throes of planning her perfect wedding, their frenemy, Randon, is attacked in their shop and his computer stolen.
We see a bit more of sweet Billie and her rich, but rough-around-the -edges businessman boyfriend whose company becomes embroiled in ransomware, possibly involving Randon. Will the new deaf ex-barista Zam be a help or a hindrance as our foursome rush to save Randon’s life and keep themselves safe from the unknown assailant(s)?
Zam is such a fun and amazing character to add into this cozy mix. With his mad juggling skills and lip-reading abilities, Marissa and Tandy are lucky to have him on their side... unless he’s not...
Finally... it’s taken me three books to really like Goth Tandy. But do I ever admire her quick wit in this book and ability to get herself and Marissa out of trouble on more than one occasion because of it!
Kudos to Strong for the cross-mention of crime scene cleaner Gabby St. Claire, by Christy Barritt. Scenes like that ramp up the reading fun.
Fun, suspense, and faith. All of these factor into this cozy. The suspense is great, but Strong makes sure to place comic relief at just the right points. The other important factor in her books is faith. The main thought here is that the fear of the Lord, if understood properly, will set you free from the fear of man. Wow!
A Latté Difficulty had twists enough that the reader may have trouble, like I did, figuring out who to trust and who to suspect, yet I was still surprised. Well done, Mrs. Strong!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This in no way affects my opinions, for which I am solely responsible.

What a fun book! Angela Ruth Strong has managed to bring together humor, faith, romance, and suspense to produce an exciting read that will hold your interest to the end. I am not sure I could pick a favorite character since they are all important to keeping the story lively and the readers on their toes. However, if I had to choose just one, I would choose Zam for his great supporting role as he fills in the gap while Marissa is indisposed. I could picture most of his juggling in my mind but would love to see it in real life. One of the greatest life lessons of the story is that we can never allow fear to control us. Several of the characters were plagued with fear at one point or another. When we allow God to take charge, He can remove all fear. I picked up on another lesson that wasn’t specifically addressed but was still obvious. Tandy and Marissa seem to constantly jump to conclusions. That can be as dangerous as jumping off a cliff. You never know where you might land, nor how badly you may get hurt. I kept wanting to reel them in as they seemed to jump from one conclusion to the next. Maybe they should have been a bit more fearful of jumping to wrong conclusions than some of the other things they feared. I recommend you get the series and start at the beginning in order to get to know many of the characters found in each of the books. I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

This book was a hard to put down book!
Everytime I tried to lay the book down to go to sleep I was like I'll just read one more chapter. It didn't work. I kept thinking about the characters especially Marissa so I wound up losing sleep but it was so worth the read!
I loved this book from the beginning and I was glad to see Marissa back in another adventure!
Strong's an incredible storyteller who has a sense of humor and wit in her stories that I really love. She does an excellent job with this book. Some scenes in this book made me snicker too.
I liked how Strong weaves in all the ingredients to make Marissa's adventure realistic.
In my opinion there's never a dull moment with Marissa and Tandy around!
I think my most favorite character was Connor's dog Ranger lol!! I got tickled at some of things he did during the story. But he can be my dog anytime!
There's lots of twists and turns in this action packed book. It's what I enjoy in a book.
The cover is cute too. I love Marissa's expression. She's like what now?
I wish I could give this book 5 stars. It certainly deserves it!

Angela Ruth Strong’s The CafFunated Mysteries series has been a real treat thus far. A Latte Difficulty continues the adventures of Marissa and Tandy, unlikely friends who run a small-town coffee and tea establishment. Once again they find themselves smack dab in the middle of another mystery and Marissa’s wedding plans are interrupted in order to protect her life that everyone believes has been threatened.

As always Marissa’s tendency toward clumsiness offers readers frequent laughable moments. Tandy’s attempts to run the shop alone while Marissa is in hiding also adds some touches of humor. She manages to recruit a new friend who seems to be a blessing from God – but is he?

A Latte Difficult was a fun read from beginning to end with the aforementioned humor along with enough twists and turns to keep me guessing as to who-done-it and why. Don’t miss this delightful series but I suggest you begin with book one to get the whole story.

I voluntarily reviewed a digital copy of this book provided by the author. A favorable review was not required. All views expressed are my own.

Marissa and Tandy are up to more coffee shop adventures. Having previously read books one and two in the CafFunated mysteries, I knew that I enjoyed the characters. What I appreciated is the fact that in this book they became more fully themselves. I thought that maybe this was going to be a trilogy, but I think there will be more titles coming up. While I did guess some of the ending, there was definitely enough unpredictable elements. This book helped to explain why Marissa's mom is rather intense. Marissa also came to be more accepting of who God created her to be - she relied on His strength more. Tandy learned to accept help. This is probably more a cozy mystery since only a few of the scenes were intense, but I think that allows for more of the characters to shine through. One enjoys being connected to a town where everything is not ordinary. I did enjoy this book and look forward to the next one. I was given an advanced copy to read, but all opinions are my own. Since I would have read the book anyway, I simply got a jump start to disclosing my thoughts. If you like cozy coffee house books, this is a great one for you!

Another fun read as we return to Grace Springs and the Caffeine Conundrum. Tandy and Marissa are trying to enjoy the 4th of July festivities as well as plan Marissa's wedding. However, Marissa witnesses an attempted murder and life spirals from there. Tandy is left to run the shop, find the criminals, and plan the wedding. I love how Ms. Strong characterizes Tandy and Marissa's friendship and partnership. They were thrown together in unusual circumstances but came out as closer than family. This story brings out the love, the suspense, the bond, and brings it together with humor and compassion. I love how Marissa has a journey of her own while being on her own. One of my favorite characters was the introduction of Zam. His antics and humor brought such fun to the story. Angela Ruth Strong has woven another of her wonderful stories. Her keen wit and perchance for fun are always a page turner. I look forward to the next. I received a complementary copy from the author. I review was not required.

A fiction snob, I love a good mystery/realistic/non-cheesy/inspiring romance book that makes me laugh. The CafFunated Mystery Series consistently covers all my criteria for taking leisure-time to read fiction. Once again, Angela Ruth Strong scores points with me in A Latte Difficulty.
Tandy and Melissa at their, now blended Tea/Coffee Room, are once again thrown into a mysterious dilemma filled with attempted murder, juggling clues, multiple villain options, not to forget Melissa’s clumsiness, and this time in the midst of her wedding plans. Angela keeps us laughing, guessing, and even tearing up as she inspires real life heart-filled mindful thinking.
Her gift of portraying a crystal-clear vision of her characters in their setting, without wasted words, always amazes me. This third book in the series skillfully maintained yet matured her characters as they have grown together in time. Like good longtime friends, I picked right back up with Tandy, Melissa and their community as if time hadn’t passed.

A Latte Difficulty is a Christian mystery and suspense romance novel by author Angela Ruth Strong. It is book 3 in the CafFUNated mysteries series.

A hacker tried to gun down Randon -the hipster millionaire, in the Caffeine Conundrum Cafe. But with limited descriptive evidence of the suspect do the police have the right person?

Marissa Alexander, the protagonist, made this an enjoyable read with her mishaps. I also appreciated that the antagonist was hard to figure out all the way to the end. Each time I thought I knew the culprit I was wrong.

This book, so far, is my favorite in the series. I recommend this novel to fans of Christian mystery and suspense.

"A Latte Difficulty" is the third book in the CafFUNated Mysteries series. The stories do build on each other, so I would recommend reading them in order, but they could be read as standalones if you wanted. I found the book to be well written with Biblical truths woven through the story. It was fun to be able to spend time with Marissa and Tandy and Conner and Greg. I had wondered if someone could have been the one behind the threats, but this time I was wrong and who was actually behind them was a surprise which was nice. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

A Latte Difficulty is the third book in The CafFunated Mysteries series and is the first book I have read in this series.

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery and found it to be a fun and enjoyable light read. The characters are well depicted, likable, and relatable. The storyline is well written and flows nicely throughout, with attempted murder, a safehouse, secrets, threats, humour, and the intrepid duo of Melissa and Tandy trying to solve the mystery before Melissa and Connor are railroaded into joining the Witness Protection Program.

I would love to read more books in this series.

Finally getting to know the people of Grace Springs and bond with our heroines Tandy & Marissa. I love their quirky characters and feel like I’m one of their girlfriends. Highlighting one of my favorite holidays, the Fourth of July, Marissa witnessed a murder. Afterwards Marissa was up to her neck in trouble all while planning her wedding! This puts her friendship with Tandy to the test and they both have to rely on God more than ever before. Will she make it to the alter? Read it and find out.

This book kept me guessing until the end! I thought I had it all figured out around half way through. About 75% through I knew I was wrong, but that I now knew the answer. Boy was I wrong!! Angela Ruth Strong is great at keeping you guessing! Tandy and Marissa are great characters that I feel like Impersonally know. I feel so involved at this point that I hope there is more to come.

Marissa and Tandy are BACK and this time, they need to solve another crime that happens in their coffee shop!! They are racing against the clock to save their friend, Randon, and Marissa is TRYING to plan the perfect wedding for her and Connor while avoiding her perfectionist Mom. Someone else mentioned this in their review and it's so true, will these unlikely BEST FRIENDS (their differences make for GREAT humor and banter) find out the culprit in time?

FAVORITE character in this one without hesitation: ZAM! Oh my goodness, EVERY scene he is in was SO well written and had me constantly smiling and or laughing, SO GOOD having him in our coffee and tea loving family!

Both ladies have a love interest but since it's Marissa's wedding being planned, her fiance Connor is the one mostly in the plot. I think Greg is Tandy's guy, but he is mentioned off page more than present in the story. BOTH are great guys but Connor has to be defiant and filled with attitude in this one since Marissa is threatened and/or endangered more than once. Not cool.

There is one scene where the police chief gets food poisoning (for real?) and Tandy is forced to answer his phone...just have to say the way it's written, TOTAL sympathy for the chief but what a HOOT that part was!! Marissa is LEGENDARY for her clumsiness but Tandy is the bestie who ALWAYS knows what to say and how to respond in awkward or silly situations while always being supportive of Marissa. Black maid of honor dress, really? This is fiction, but it blesses my socks off in how REAL it comes across and PULLS me in!

So yeah, TOTALLY recommending this book because there's SO MUCH to love about it and the BEST part...there will be ANOTHER one in this series! Will definitely be preordering that one also:
well done Strong, WELL DONE :)
