Reincarnation By Julie is a crime fiction with a tad bit of romance, which brought back my trust in humanity even if it's just a little. Published in 2020, in my high school days, when I heard that my English teacher had written a book surrounding a sensitive topic, I wanted to read it, and finally, I got an opportunity to do so.
I really loved how Miss Julie described Kiara's pain and devastation as Roohi sympathises with the sexual abuse victims in her articles as she pours out her heart and soul into it. The subject, which is usually highly triggering and hard to write due to its sensitive nature, was very well handled by the author. I am happy to be once a student of hers and to finally get an opportunity to read her book. Miss Julie has honestly been one of the most inspiring and important figures in my journey into the realm of literature.

Summary :
The book opens up with Kiara, our main character, waking up all flushed, trembling with fear instilled in her bones as she tries to forget her memories, which are causing the nightmares. The story moves into giving us an insight into Kiara's 'past' where we find out that she was brutally raped by 4 men on the night when she was returning from her friend's birthday party late at night.
Traumatised by the incident and her lovely boyfriend( Dhruv) abandoning her, with her mother's support, she takes a stand and strives for a change in her life.
The book then introduces us to Roohi in a new chapter who's a prominent journalist on the headlines plastered onto the newspaper front pages famous for surfing through the reoccurring and disturbing rape cases while she tries her best to shed light on the topic by asking thought proving questions in her articles.
With the courtesy of an interview that she signs up for at the last moment due to her coworker pulling, Roohi is introduced to Rehan, who is a romance author. He develops a keen and genuine interest in her since the first time he sees her and is heavily inspired by her after they spent time together at a wedding together in Goa. Rehan falls deeper for her and ends up writing a book with her as a protagonist, which connects with her soul, and it's very different from what he's written throughout his whole literary career. He manages to win her heart with the book, his dedicated and ever accepting love for her, and they live happily ever happy.
