The crew of the pirate ship the Lovesick Fool are worried about their navigator, Sentorr. He's obsessed with working, spending all his time on the bridge. It's not work the big blue alien is truly obsessed with, though.
It's a female.
Sentorr's convinced that Zoey, a female navigator on another pirate ship, is his mate. She won't show him her face, though, or agree to meet him. She's happy to have steamy, late-night conversations with him over comm channels, though.

The Hero: Sentorr - he is the navigator on the Lovesick Fool (a.k.a. Dancing Fool). At one point he was determined to never find a mate like the rest of the crew. He is frustrated that the human females have changed things on the ship, the messakah males want to spend more time with their mates and less time on new missions.
The heroine: Zoey - She was kidnapped from Earth at 10 years old when three huge male messakah space pirates robbed the aliens that kidnapped her. She has been with them ever since and now is their adopted sister and works on their ship the Little Sister with them. She loves the life but is a bit lonely. She wants a mate, but most messakah don’t want her because she is human and those on home world think humans are nothing more than pets.
The Story: the crew of the Lovesick Fool doesn’t know that after they leave the bridge each evening, Sentorr can’t wait to chat over instant messaging with the navigator from the Little Sister spaceship, another pirate ships. He has been entranced with Zoey since he first started chatting with her. He thinks she is perfect for him. He knows she has three brothers who fought in the war on home world, so assumes she is messakah.
Sentorr and Zoey chat and call each other on comms often, but she refuses to show her face in a vid call. They even get steamy on their shared calls. However, when the two ships end up at the 3 Nebulas space station at the same time, things get shady, because Zoey hates the fact that she is human and never wanted to meet Sentorr. When she does leave the ship, she is usually disguised with a holo and wearing a long cape and stilt like shoes to appear as a messakah female.
Like the rest of this series, this was a shorter book than most of Ruby Dixon’s stories. I wish there were more action and more of a journey, but I did like the characters and Zoey’s issues. Sentorr was a bit of a surprise because he was such a loner and barely spoke in the prior books, but was so ready to be a mate in this one. It surprised me.
This book is told in dual points of view via dual narration and is narrated by Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd who both do a great job as always. I was happy when I saw that Zoey was the heroine in this book, I have read the Corsair brothers series and some of Ruby Dixon’s other series where Zoey has been a character, and I had never read her story. So this was great.

Sentorr and Zoe
That was my second favourite story from the crew of the Lovesick Fool.
Sentorr, the navigator of the ship, is the only unmated member left and he is not happy. He misses the old days: When only him and his blue brothers in arms (pirates and thieves more precisely) were the ship's crew.
Moreover he is not sure that he like the fact that the ship is full of Earth girls. They look and behave very weird. He would definitely prefer a nice Mesakkah female for himself. Tall, familiar and elegant.
And he may have found it.
Zoe is the female navigator of another pirate ship, “Little Sister”. She and her three Mesakkah brothers travel in space at the same lines as the “Lovesick Fool". She is lonely and a workaholic.
Zoe and Sentorr will find each other and talk for months although they will never see each other. They will be firstly friends, but later on they will start developing feelings for each other. That is the main reason Sentorr preferred to spend his nights in front of his monitor.
When Sentorr suggests they should meet, Zoe denies him insisting that she is too ugly. What she hasn't told him is that she is human. She knows that Sentorr does not like humans.
As you have realised one day they will meet. Sentorr will need to save Zoe and her brothers from a trap and finally he will realise that his Zoe is a human girl. And that will not stop him from claiming her!
This is a bit different story from the previous three in the series. Zoe will not be saved and she will not have any trauma from her days as a slave. Raised as a Mesakkah , she doesn't like that she is a weak, weird looking human and she thinks that she no good match for the goodlooking Sentorr. Very interesting approach I have to say (me giggling...).
This is basically the concluding story of the Fool ship. But as it was announced Zoe's brothers will also have their stories.

This was a great ending to a series that I fell in love with. The hero was exactly what you would expect but it was so interesting seeing who Sentorr really was and watching him fall in love. The heroine was amazing her back story and family was so fasinating and I couldn't have put two more perfect characters together. What really stood out in this book is Zoey and her brothers(and I really did love Zoey and Sentorr). I loved their relationship so much and really just loved her three brothers. Seeing how much they cared for Zoey was so sweet. I actually teared up at the end of this book. I read the Ruby Dixon's notes(which I always do) and I am so happy to see that her brothers will be getting their own books eventually. I can't wait for their books, the dynamic of them in this book seems like a great preview to some amazing future books.

Not my favorite of Ruby Dixon's books but still an entertaining sci-fi read in a familiar world. Zoey (h) and Sentorr (H) are each navigators on different spaceships who flirt and talk mostly at night. Sentorr wants to meet face to face, but Zoey hasn't told him that she's actually a human so she keeps putting him off. Until events happen that bring them together in person finally. I liked Sentorr, even though he was grumpy, but I had a hard time with Zoey because she didn't think ahead so ended up hurting both of them for a time with her lack of vision for a possible future together. Still, a sweet sci-fi read with a couple of steamy moments. Written in first person, dual POV. No ow/om drama, H not a virgin (no real history given), and h has zero experience because she was always hiding given that humans are considered contraband.
There were fun side characters (Sentorr's the last crew member on his ship to find a mate but Zoey's three adopted brothers are very much single and get their own series). Zoey's brothers are mesakkah and were a little absurd at times, but very caring towards her. They rescued her as a child after she’d been abducted and she embraced more of their culture than human culture that she barely remembered. The other humans who are mated to Sentorr’s crew are welcoming to Zoey, as well as their mates. There is a short separation that’s ended with some intervention. The end is a HEA not far into the future with Zoey and Sentorr happy and together.
There were fun side characters (Sentorr's the last crew member on his ship to find a mate but Zoey's three adopted brothers are very much single and get their own series). Abducted from Earth by slavers, Zoey was rescued by three Mesakkah space pirate brothers who adopt her as their sister. Now the navigator for their ship, Zoey is content being the oddball Earth female in a society where tails, horns, and blue skin define one's beauty until she begins a private com link with another fellow pirate vessel navigator. Their nightly audio talks have been getting more and more personal though Zoey won't take it any further. The reason, Sentorr is a Mesakkah who would be repulsed by her Earth looks.
Sentorr has been a bystander as his fellow Mesakkah crew members find Earth mates leaving him as the only single male left on the Lovesick Fool. Volunteering to man the bridge during the night rotations, Santorr has been chatting nightly with the navigator of Little Sister, a rival pirating vessel, though Zoey won't allow a visual feed for their chats. Regardless, Sentorr knows Zoey will be his mate someday.
When the two vessels are scheduled to dock at the same port, Sentorr realizes that he can finally make his move to claim the elusive Zoey once and for all.

As a long time fan of this author, I was happy to get my hands on this story to get my fix of alpha aliens and Earth ass kicking females. Nothing better than a good old SciFi interspecies erotic romance to while away the hours.
While I appreciated the straight forward romance story line, the lack of depth and/or action adventure was disappointing. For potential readers, the story encompasses the angst leading up to the main characters meeting, adding a core roadblock the two need to overcome, before finally addressing their HFN/HEA future.
The actual romance does include adult content scenes but not to the degree of needing a cold shower or battery operated devices to get over.
Secondary character do provide the foil to compliment the world building and support the main characters in the story line itself. Zoey's brothers, Adiron, Mathiras, and Kaspar will be back I'm sure at some future time with their own stories.
My issues were the simple fact that this was a straight forward SciFi erotic romance story. No bells or whistles to it if I exclude the roadblock hurdle that needed to be addressed in the story. A nice feel good book that can be enjoyed when one is looking for a pick me up 'love conquers all' sort of story.

This book was such a pleasant surprise. If you have read the others in the series - and if you haven't, then you are sorely missing out - Sentorr was always the pessimistic loner of the Lovesick Fool. He was always making negative comments and complaining about his mated crew. But it seems that Sentorr wasn't the uptight alien he appeared to be. You see - when he was sneaking off to bridge to be alone, he was actually sneaking off to have some smexy conversations with the navigator of the ship Little Sister.
I told you it was a pleasant surprise!
Zoey, the navigator of the Little Sister, has a big secret. She hasn't been completely honest with Sentorr and some of his comments, as well as her brothers' rude remarks, has left her feeling anything but worthy of a mate.
She refuses to show her face to her beloved alien because she fears she is too ugly for him to love. No matter how many times Sentorr tries to convince her otherwise, she refuses him.
And so the chase begins! Sentorr is determined to corner Zoey and prove to her that she is the one he wants. He starts to track the Little Sister desperate to meet his mate once and for all. But will he accept Zoey for what she is? Will he forgive her for not telling him the truth? Guess you'll just have to read and find out yourself! *smirks*

Not bad. Not bad. Can't say this was my favorite Corsair book, but it was still pretty good.
I wanted Sentorr to have a book since book one. I needed his story. And I'm so happy to have finally gotten it.
Ruby had given facebook fans snippets of this one on her page and when I read them and realized Sentorr had actually been talking to Zoey for months without having seen her face, I knew we'd be in for a nice surprise. And it was! Because just when I thought "how far can Ruby go?"
She'd pop another blue-sucker out of her arsenal complete with whit and creativity. Her take on "long-distance relationships" was funny and proved that the struggle is real, spanning to every corner of the galaxy.
Zoey was a tad too juvenile for my tastes.
The only thing ever on her mind was sex. And don't get me wrong, I love sex. But like, that's all I really know about her aside from being raised from another set of blue pirates from the age of 10.
Ooooooooh before I forget.
We're introduced to not one, not two, but three mother-fucking blue-alien pirates. Which can only mean one thing...
More blue-alien smut.

I was waiting for this story all morning. Hitting the refresh button on Amazon all morning. Of course it came up after I had to leave the house. Anyway, after finally getting it I hunkered down to read my fav sci fi crack, and it didn’t disappoint! This was a great addition to the series. Very short and sweet. More of a novella length. I wish there was a little more to the story, but what we got was great.

Not the best of the series for me....
Sex Talk In Space..................
This is the last in the Corsair series...and I have loved these big, blue guys...and the human women who have captured their hearts.
I was always curious about Sentorr because he was so quiet, and stiff and uncomfortable around the human women....but he is wonderful. And this is his love story.
He wants to be alone at 'night' on the bridge of the Fool to have 'space sex'(phone sex)...lol He has met a woman who intrigues him and he has fallen in love with her. He wants to meet her but she won't....
Zoey is a human...and she was saved from slavery by three huge Mesakkah brothers who have taken care of her for the past 10 years. She really doesn't have contact w/anyone else...and she has reason to believe that Sentorr does not like humans from his comments.
I have to be honest...some of the sex talk from Zoey made me very uncomfortable ...she at times seems very innocent...and then filth comes out of her mouth and...yeah...ick. But she is curious about sex and she believes she w/never meet Sentorr.
They do meet and it's wonderful ....and then it is kind of boring and unexciting and you just want to smack Zoey for being what she is ...juvenile.
They have their HEA....and we get teased with three new hot alien brothers. So it's a win... it's just a a kind of blah win. I think Sentorr deserved more.

Somewhat good plot.
OK chemistry.
That the heroine thinks about and reflects on that she is “ugly”/different because she is a another/different species.
(It would be very interesting to read about more main characters that reflected on the big differences in appearance/looks etc. between the different alien species.)
➖ What I disliked:
Repetitive character description/character choice ( in different ways it is harped on about the size difference between the main characters…. the heroine keeps being described as small and little/dainty, fragile etc. by the hero…. And the hero being described as tall/big and muscular etc. )
The character description/character choice is formulaic.
Tiny/small heroine and huge hulking tall alien.
(It would have been really interesting to maybe see many more characters like Kate or Devi, Iolanthe, Leilani…or a combination of the four as the heroine/FMC in this story (and other books/series from this auhtor)…. Someone that was tall+sturdy or athletic+statuesque that could hold their own in a different way and not seem fragile/frail or be fragile/frail.)
The hero describing the heroine as fragile just sounds so weird/wrong …. like the hero is talking about a 95 year old little lady or something.
And it emphasizes the size difference even more and Not in a good way.
This auhtor is kind of good at including and writing about diverse characters and trying to include and write about diverse characters....
But at the same time so many of the heroines in these books are more or less the same in size/shape and age…. And the only thing that is different about them are their eye color, hair color and stuff like that.... which becomes formulaic.
It would be nice with much more diversity and variety among the main characters …. mainly the heroines …. but also the heroes. (Even if it is sci-fi …. humans come in so many different shapes/sizes etc. it would be nice if this was shown much more in these books)
The plot needed a little more depth and needed to be a longer story and for being the forth book in the series the world-building is a little sparse….. but what there is … is interesting just sparse.
The book needed more character development.
Somewhat rushed and too short of a story.
The heroine is also very young (21) but also seems and acts much younger... like a teenager/immature when it comes to her first crush Sentorr and many other things as well.
The hero is not that interesting and he is also stoic.
The obvious age difference between the main characters.
There is No issue for Sentorr (the hero) that the heroine is a human even-though he has made remarks (his behavior, thoughts, words about humans etc. in the other books and this one…. And that makes it totally out of character for him to be so unaffected by it and so OK about it.)
But also that he was made to believe/deceived that the heroine was a Mesakkah.
And had No issue/problem or angst about that…..he just falls instantly into love and lust with her.
But the angst is instead about how the heroine “can’t” leave her brothers because they “need” her and she thinks she owes them her life etc.
A missed opportunity to have some good and interesting angst/conflict about being two different species/aliens.
It is hinted at in this book …. that the brothers (va Sithai) actually sold slaves before “saving” Zoey…. But that they do Not do that anymore and that was in the past….
So they were slavers/human traffickers just like the other aliens. (no scruples about doing that in the past.)
That is a puzzling and weird backstory of/for the brothers…. Even if they are pirates/corsairs.
(And it is also more or less glossed over and casually mentioned like it is nothing.)

(It would have been really interesting to maybe see many more characters like Kate or Devi, Iolanthe, Leilani…or a combination of the four as the heroine/FMC in this story (and other books/series from this auhtor)…. Someone that was tall+sturdy or athletic+statuesque that could hold their own in a different way and not seem fragile/frail or be fragile/frail.)
The hero describing the heroine as fragile just sounds so weird/wrong …. like the hero is talking about a 95 year old little lady or something.
And it emphasizes the size difference even more and Not in a good way.
This auhtor is kind of good at including and writing about diverse characters and trying to include and write about diverse characters....
But at the same time so many of the heroines in these books are more or less the same in size/shape and age…. And the only thing that is different about them are their eye color, hair color and stuff like that.... which becomes formulaic.
It would be nice with much more diversity and variety among the main characters …. mainly the heroines …. but also the heroes. (Even if it is sci-fi …. humans come in so many different shapes/sizes etc. it would be nice if this was shown much more in these books)
The plot needed a little more depth and needed to be a longer story and for being the forth book in the series the world-building is a little sparse….. but what there is … is interesting just sparse.
The book needed more character development.
Somewhat rushed and too short of a story.
The heroine is also very young (21) but also seems and acts much younger... like a teenager/immature when it comes to her first crush Sentorr and many other things as well.
The hero is not that interesting and he is also stoic.
The obvious age difference between the main characters.
There is No issue for Sentorr (the hero) that the heroine is a human even-though he has made remarks (his behavior, thoughts, words about humans etc. in the other books and this one…. And that makes it totally out of character for him to be so unaffected by it and so OK about it.)
But also that he was made to believe/deceived that the heroine was a Mesakkah.
And had No issue/problem or angst about that…..he just falls instantly into love and lust with her.
But the angst is instead about how the heroine “can’t” leave her brothers because they “need” her and she thinks she owes them her life etc.
A missed opportunity to have some good and interesting angst/conflict about being two different species/aliens.
It is hinted at in this book …. that the brothers (va Sithai) actually sold slaves before “saving” Zoey…. But that they do Not do that anymore and that was in the past….
So they were slavers/human traffickers just like the other aliens. (no scruples about doing that in the past.)
That is a puzzling and weird backstory of/for the brothers…. Even if they are pirates/corsairs.
(And it is also more or less glossed over and casually mentioned like it is nothing.)
****Note to self: Do Not re-read this book again.****

3.5 stars -- This was super charming! I really liked a kind of reverse beauty & the beast type story with everyone's favorite super possessive alien species... very sweet, very steamy, very campy. Ruby Dixon is my 2020 saving grace

I liked it. It was relatively quick, fit within the fabric of this little spinoff series and gave me the feels I expect, no more, no less, since I'm into her blue aliens and their big...horns. If you like Ms. Dixon's style and enjoy a little alien sci fi in your romances, then I think you may enjoy this.

There were some cute parts to this one that I did enjoy but I kinda forced myself to finish it.
Once the MCs met, the story just fell flat for me.
Zoey is a very young woman with her first crush. She wishes she was like her big blue brothers but she is an ugly little pink skinned human.
Sentorr is a big blue skinned human with horns. ...At least, that is the way he comes across.
They meet over the com and talk for almost a year without ever seeing each other.
The story is set up for some fun angst when Sentorr finds that she isn't also big and blue but small and pink. But

There is very little world building here. Really it's the bare bones to hold together a quick 'easy bake' romance. I liked Ice Planet Barbarians (the first book) as the aliens felt 'alien'.
This was about as much science fiction as Disney's 'Treasure Planet'.

I don't think this qualifies for a complete book, it feels like Novella.
It was enjoyable and gobbled it up like small treat but I struggle to connect with both - Sentorr and Zoey. Still it was nice to revisit Corsair world and now it is coming to an end. Of course, Ruby might expand on 'Little Sister's remaining crew - 3 Messakh brothers but right now it feels like everyone is paired up in the series.

Deceiving The Corsair me ha parecido el mas flojo de la saga, en parte porque la relacion entre la pareja protagonista no me resulto lo suficiente creible como para conectar con ellos, y tambien debido a la rapidez con la que se desarrolla la trama, obviamente al tener tan pocas paginas sabia que la historia no se iba a desenvolver de una manera pausada, pero la verdad es que los anteriores tomos me dejaron mucho mas satisfecha respecto a ese asunto que esta ultima parte.
Por decir algo positivo, la novela se lee en muy poquito tiempo, yo en dos tardes la tuve finiquitada y ademas nos muestra pequeños detalles de como han evolucionado las parejas de los libros anteriores, lo que para mi siempre es bienvenido.
En fin, una lectura para nada imprescindible pero que cumple su cometido y te mantiene distraida durante un par de horas.

3. 5 stars. Always enjoy a Ruby Dixon story, despite the foul language and somewhat repetitiveness of the plot They are fun and the MCs really care about each other. Love stories with blue men and feisty women. Some appeal to me more than others but I will always read them. This one was not my fave but I’m happy our grumpy alien got his girl. Now give me some more dragons, please!

The stoic and starchy Sentorr has been exchanging texts and phone calls with a Mesakkah woman who also navigates a pirate ship. But what Sentorr doesn't know is that this woman is actually human.
Half of the relationship development unfortunately occurs off page because Sentorr and Zoey had been exchanging texts and phone calls for well over a year. We get a small glimpse of their banter through chat and telephone, but I wanted the author to explore that a bit further because we don't actually get to see these two fall in love on page. They are already in love in chapter 1.
By the time these two meet in person, it's the physical aspect of their relationship that takes the spotlight because they are already in love. This makes Sentorr and Zoey's story the steamiest in the series. But their book is also the weakest one in the series because of the weak emotional depth.
Furthermore, Sentorr is not as starchy in this book because like I said, by the time we begin his story, he is already in love with Zoey. Which means that he's already lost his starchiness at this point, thus defeating the purpose of a starchy hero lmao.
I also wasn't the biggest fan of Zoey's hatred for her human-ness. She was abducted by aliens when she was 10 years old and rescued by three Mesakkahs, who then adopted her as their sister. So she really hates being human and thinks she's ugly because she's not a Mesakkah. She even says things like her Mesakkah brothers treated her "better than any human girl deserves to be treated" and also believes that Sentorr loves her "despite the fact" that she's human. Of course, Sentorr constantly tells her that it doesn't matter that she's human, but she doesn't get it. Girl, bye.
Also, it is implied that the Mesakkah brothers rescued Zoey, but traded the other human abductees?! Which is messed up?! On top of that, I feel like Sentorr's background history was not as fleshed out as Zoey's background history. It's implied that Sentorr spent time in prison?! And that somehow Sentorr is loaded with money?! But he also spent time as a soldier?! I don't know man. I was ready to give this 3 stars because it wasn't horrible, but now I'm sitting here with a bunch of unanswered questions. So, 2.5 stars it is.

3 solid, enjoyable stars.
I loved that Sentorr got his mate at last, I hated him being the odd man out, feeling lonely and like a fifth wheel. I could not connect so much with Zoey, though still I get what her background is about, being raised by Messaka and not knowing any other humans to give her a sense of normalcy.
The story was steamy and with plenty of feels, still, a bit short and not really enough to explore the characters or to build a more exciting story arch.
A nice, good ending for this sub-series, and maybe we will get a spin-off sometime later.

I love you Ruby Dixon! This was a great installment. I was so sad because I thought for sure this was the end of our time with the Corsairs, but that ending made it seem like we could get more!
I liked this one the least out of the series, but still loved it! I can't wait to see what Ruby is doing next! Her books are like comfort food to me! Whenever I am unsure of what to read I always, always reach for the next Ruby Dixon book. I will be crushed whenever she decides she is done with the blue aliens 😢. let's hope that day never comes!

Sentorr is just the cutest buttoned up Messakah and I want to keep him. He’s a grumpy enigmatic loner with everyone but Zoe, who turns him into a bit of a marshmallow. Zoe is a mix of confidence and self-doubt with a filthy mouth. They are so precious together and I’m glad they get their happy ever after.

Welcome aboard the space ship Lovesick Fool. It contains a small crew of ruthless pirates looking to make their fortune. Well kinda. They’re definitely pirates, however the ruthlessness is a little iffy, especially when there’s a human woman involved.
The Lovesick Fool is becoming a little crowded. It’s packed to near bursting with couples deliriously in love. And Sentorr. The only singleton left on board. Only he has a secret. All the time he spends alone on the bridge? He’s not quite as alone as the others think. For months he’s been speaking to the elusive Zoey, a navigator on another pirate ship. He hasn’t seen her yet, but he knows it doesn’t matter what she looks like; she’s his mate.
I can’t believe this is the last book in the Corsair series! Or rather potentially the last book, we were introduced to some new characters who definitely have “hero” potential written all over their beautiful blue skin. Regardless if this series continues on with new characters, all the original males from the Dancing Fool which became the Lovesick Fool are now claimed. What a journey it has been! I have enjoyed every book in this series and have been looking forward to the uptight Sentorr’s book. He’s always been quietest and most disapproving of the crew so seeing him fall for his very own human was very satisfying. And boy, when he lets himself go that messakkah male plays (and talks) dirty!
Zoey was kidnapped when she was a child. Luckily a trio of messakkah males saved her and she’s been on their pirate ship the Little Sister named after her, ever since. But, being raised by three protective older brothers in a universe that see humans as exotic animals to either be displayed or abused means she doesn’t have contact with many people. Then she starts connecting with Sentorr. I really liked Zoey, she was a little different from the other heroines. Although she was human she had been raised like a messakkah and found her soft beige skin and hornless head ugly. But, she was also outgoing and a lot of fun. Sentorr and Zoey together were a great combination, it was definitely a case of “opposites attract” as their chemistry was off the charts hot.
This series has been great, full of hot sex and sweet romance. I hope she continues to Corsairs series, or does a spin off with the crew of Little Sister. What’s not to love about alien space pirates with hearts of gold?
