Books Included:

Kill: Four (Book 13) Death In Freedom (Book 14) Endgame (Book 15)

What do you do when what you most crave in life is peace and the warmth of a family, but all life has taught you is how to fight and how to kill? What do you do when you have turned your back on violence and killing, when you’ve started to make that home, and the enemy you thought was dead comes knocking at your door?

For Lacklan Walker, ten year veteran of the SAS, that question had only one answer. You go in fighting. But unfortunately it wasn’t that easy. Because the enemy he thought was dead, was a lot less dead than he’d thought. And when he turns to his old friend Jim Redbeard for help, he finds that his old enemy, Omega, have been playing a very dark game indeed, and if he is to defeat them he will have to face them on their own turf, where they are strongest.

In a mission that takes him half way across the world, to the deserts of Namibia and the Western Cape of South Africa, to Cameroon, Cadiz and Oxford, this is Lacklan’s toughest challenge yet: a challenge that could well cost him everything…

Major Disappointment!

Having invested most of the last dozen days reading this series I must express my displeasure with the conclusion. Sure, a happy ending would have been nice, but given the brutal nature of the story, it’s not surprising that wasn’t to be. The entire “Freedom” story (Book 14) makes no sense in the big picture and remains
unresolved at the end. Lacklan never acknowledged his previous encounter with Ustinov in Galveston. The resurrection of Bob at the end is too far fetched. The story does not make it clear, but Marni’s father’s notes (supposedly so detrimental to Omega) apparently never did exist, as Lacklan never found them in her diary.

I’m done with Blake Banner for a while!

This entire series - books 13-15 just became the same thing over and over again. Book 14 made no sense to me at all. It could have been dropped from the series without effect. The ending was not believable at all - as if the author didn't know what to do and didn't know how to wrap things up. All in all, it was fun.

Intense intrigue never stops!

Archer keeps the reader engrossed in drama, intrigue and mystery in all his books. The series leading up to the end game kept me enrapt to the last page. The Omega beliefs as presented reminded me of today’s mass media and are rather scary.

The ending of this was VERY DISAPPOINTING!

To end a 15-book series with a cliffhanger that will evidently not be explained makes me wish I had never started the first book.
VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Omega series

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire Omega series. It's full of action that keep one reading chapter after chapter. Following Lacklan around the world as he fights for mankind's freedom was a lot of fun.

Good series, but I was sad at the end. I didn't want to have Walker get killed after 14 books, but him losing everybody he was friends or lovers with was just as bad.

Loved the series, hated the ending; too many loose ends. We are left not knowing anything!
