i love everything about this book. i love the title, i love the cover, and i love the writing. SO MUCH. i hope to one day write history like this. truly inspiring in terms of form and mother mary francis’ command of historical storytelling. like i’m obsessed. can’t say enough good things!!!!

Delightful! A saint from the 14th-15th century with a bit more documentation on her miraculous life than one might hope, starting with her birth from a 60-year-old mother. Not only miraculous, but truly full of virtue, from her time as a young recluse to her tireless work at reforming the children of St. Francis and St. Clare. I'm glad to have discovered this beautiful saint. Saint Colette, pray for us.
