She thought he was part of her past. He left her when she needed him most, but now, he is back and Savannah is going to have to face him and remember the how he broke her heart. As an FBI agent, Jett couldn’t stay by Savannah’s side as she lay broken in a hospital bed. He had to accept her decision to let her go, but now he’s back and he vows that if she will take him back, he will never leave her again. But first, he must keep her safe from the monsters that are creeping about in the night…

CHRISTMAS VICTIM by Jane Blythe is her latest Holiday-themed romantic suspense read and her fans know how she loves to torment her characters. Admit it, she does. She also creates strong characters, especially her female heroines, but this time out, while Savannah was strong and would give her life for those she loved, she also wallowed in a pity party of fear of failure, because it seemed better to never try to walk again than try and fail. That said, the woman just didn’t get that she is a force to be reckoned with and it kind of made me a little crazy.

Can Jett break down the barriers Savannah has built? Can he keep her safe against his greatest nemesis? Can he protect her from herself?

The heart knows what the heart wants, but will the brain listen? Two souls meant to be together, may find they waited too long! Suspense, murder and worse, but somehow Jane Blythe brings it all together, reining it all in and putting together another romantic suspense that allows us inside her characters heads, even if we find ourselves shaking our own once in a while!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Jane Blythe! This is my honest and voluntary review.

I love a series where each story is complete, but recurring characters make appearances, refusing to stay by the sidelines, and Christmas Victim by Jane Blythe is one of those stories. This time we will get the low down on Savannah and Jett and find out if their second chance romance will work out.

Savannah had worked for the FBI, but injuries suffered in the line of duty have made it impossible for her to continue. Now, her job as a crime scene technician may be in jeopardy. Savannah is afraid to try to walk again, afraid to know if physical therapy will work or will she be stuck the wheelchair forever. I like how Jane Blythe dealt with her fears and insecurities. It makes it easier to understand why some people are afraid to try and move forward, paralyzed with fear. It takes a good support team and Savannah’s struggle reads like a true story of those stuggles. At times, I wanted to tell Savannah to get over herself, but who am I to judge what is right for her. I have never ‘walked’ in her shoes. Savannah is like a cat and I wonder how many lives she has left.

Savannah’s cat, Sequin (because of her spots that looked like sequins), refused to use a little box and just had to go out…at night. Okay, at night, in a wheelchair without any protection or even her cell phone, I know something bad is coming her way…but, she hears shots fired at her new neighbor’s house.

Finn, a doctor, and Chloe, am FBI agent, had worked through their problems and were now happily married with a little one on the way. She was going to spend the night with Savannah…but they found her unconscious on the ground suffering a head injury and hypothermia. Hasn’t Savannah been through enough JANE? An author after my own heart. She puts her characters through hell…repeatedly. LOL

Violet is missing and Jett has returned to work the case. And the dance of romance begins…along with the mystery. He was the one responsible for telling her to move there. He feels it is his responsibility to get her back. Jett knows who took her, the stalker she was hiding from, but the stalkers knows all the ins and outs to staying off the radar and has been impossible to locate. He and Jett have a connection and this has become the villain’s favorite game to play. He won’t go down easy.

Savannah had sent Jett away. She felt he had let her down and she could not count on him when the chips were down. This time…well, he wants her back and won’t take no for an answer.

Violet will go through hell, beatings, torture, sexual assault, but she never quits. He believes she belongs to him and will never let her go. What is the meaning of love?

When he punched her, it was only out of love. A love he wanted her to reciprocate. A love he WOULD get her to reciprocate.

Be careful if you do something to make him angry. He came from a brutal, disgusting, appalling despicable, depraved home, but he had made something of himself…or did he? Was he just good at hiding who he really was. I love stories that delve into the mind of monsters.

WOW. I am stunned, not sure what I think. HE took Jane Blythe to a really dark place and I love getting into his mind, trying to see what makes him tick, his thoughts and feelings. There were a couple of things that bothered me, but were easy to overlook. It allowed the story to continue and gave it that little twist that lets us know, monsters don’t go down easy.

Another wild ride that does NOT make for light Christmas reading, but if you are looking for the boogie man that comes out at night, this may just work for you. LOL This is the third book in the series of recurring characters, but each story is told in its entirety.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of Christmas Victim by Jane Blythe.

I thought this was a good read and a welcome addition enjoyable series. Jett and Savannah's story is chock full of tension, emotional turmoil, drama, angst, suspense, zippy chemistry and romance. It was very easy to get pulled into this engaging story and to become invested in this couple. These two struggle to work through and overcome the baggage from their painful past, while also dealing with danger. A very good read. This is my independent, impartial review.

A wonderfully written romantic-suspense story that had me glued to the pages from beginning to end. There are multiple bad guys, one more terrifying than the next, interfering in this book. Highly recommend!

Have you read Janes Christmas series ? Well if not you are seriously missing out !! Jane continues to amaze me with each and every installment . This time around we get Jett and Savannah’s emotional rollercoaster of a journey and trust me it is definitely not a easy one . Jett is a alpha and true protector who would give his life for the people most important to him . And Savannah, she’s the perfect blend of strong, independent and good hearted . Both have been through so much in their live and have many fears they still deal with From their pasts . Fears that they learn to persevere through together . In my opinion the best way to truly experience how beautiful and emotional each and every one Janes books are is to simply read it for yourself!!! What I will say is that I do not typically read romantic suspense, in fact 95% of the time you’ll catch me reading dark romances , but James books well they are definitely the exception. Intriguing, suspenseful, action packed, tragic , twists and turns , second chances, steamy , romantic, heartbreaking, heartfelt, unforgettable and unputdownable.

Wow this series just gets better and better. Jane Blythe’s talent knows no bounds. This is a wild ride that’s action packed, full of suspense and a love that knows no bounds.
Jett and Savannah are such a beautiful couple. So right for each other.
Jett is the ultimate protector. Fighting to save and help those who can’t do it themselves. His strong moral compass shines brightly.
Savannah is the epitome of strength. Despite everything that has happened in her life she’s still surviving each day. It’s so heart rendering to see how fear is hindering her progression but totally understandable. I could only dream of being that strong if something happened to me.
Both Jett and Savannah have fears from their childhoods that they struggle to overcome. It’s weird how something that happened years ago can have such a profound effect on us as adults.
This is a beautiful story to sink into. Watching Jett fight for the future he wants, putting his life on the line to bring he evil he’s hunting to justice was so awe inspiring and addictive.
Can’t recommend highly enough

Savannah in wheel chair and ex- boyfriend FBI Jett Crane

Another good read with lots of happenings around the Holidays. Several story lines going on. Savannah lets her cat out to pee because it won’t use the kitty box. The cat doesn’t come back so she wheels herself outside, only to hear a muffled gunshot x3 at her new neighbor’s house. She has no phone only a blanket around her she sees a man taking the neighbor Violet out of the house to a van. Yelling out she gets hit and dumped out of her wheelchair. This is where I can’t put the story down.FBI Jett Crane knows who the guy is and wants to get him and save Violet. Tom Drake FBI joins to help find Blake Sedenker who is ex-FBI and is delusional. Meanwhile another story with a guy named Marcus gets released from jail and for 1 yr lays low. He is a murder and pediphile of young girls. He is able to kidnap Savannah and a young girl and time is running out to find them before he kills again. Read this page turner that brings Savannah and Jett back into an uncertain romance.

I couldn’t wait to read this third Christmas suspense story by this author. Her first two were great and I certainly wasn’t disappointed with this one either.

Savannah and Jett are both likeable characters and in their own ways very similar. They’re both protective of others as well as very helpful and caring, they are both quite head strong and determined too. Both had similar issues growing up but where Jett is an extreme alpha in many ways Savannah is more concerned with failing. After her traumas it’s understandable though.

Blake as one of the resident ‘evil’ characters really has lost the plot and it’s here with him that the excitement, drama and action really takes place. Never knowing what he’s going to do makes for one interesting and thrilling ride.

A holiday romance with a wonderful suspense that has you biting your nails with anticipation.

Savannah has moved on with her life, at least she is trying. When Savannah is injured she has to give up her dream of joining the FBI and ends up working as a crime scene tech. But when she is kidnapped and hurt again she is resigned to stay in her wheelchair and content without trying to regain he ability to walk again. When Jet is thrust back into her life, Chloe has no intention of hearing him out about how he let her down when she needed him the most.

Chloe finds herself in the crosshairs of Jett’s former partner who has turn into a stalker, kidnapper, and killer, and Jett decides she is not giving Chloe a choice, he is determined to get her back while keeping her safe from his former partner. Jett down’t realize he will need to use all his skills to win back the woman he loves and keep her safe. Cute quick read.

Christmas Victim is an exciting Christmas themed romantic suspense.
FBI Agent Jett Crane broke girlfriend Savannah Watson's heart when he wasn't there for her, when she needed him the most. So she broke up with him.
Almost three years later, Jett is hunting down his ex-partner who has gone off the rails.
Savannah is injured while trying to help her neighbors when something horrible happens. And she is not happy when Jett is sent to work on the case.
Savannah wants nothing to do with him, but Jett is determined to win her back, while keeping her safe and trying to find Savannah's neighbor Violet.
I could not put this book down. I devoured it! And there was a twist that I did not expect near the end.
Another awesome read from Jane Blythe

FBI and second chances is the name of this series and I am here for it. Jett and Savannah are another case of miscommunication and some trust problems. The case that brings them back together is tragic and with one heck of a twist regarding who the bad guy is. The psychological part of fear is heavily featured regarding loss and the walking/pain that Savannah experiences over her injuries to that hip. The dangers were detailed and made this story move quickly. The ending was an unexpected twist to a different danger that impacted all the couples from this series. The Christmas theme is a sweet connection to the series and I love the draw on the lights and love of Christmas.

Christmas Victim

Wow! Each story gets a little more dark and intense. This story is about Savannah and Jett. I gotta say, Savannah is one tough lady for all she has been through. These two were separated for three years but Jett was bound and determined to win Savannah back. Jett's ex-partner was a psycho but thankfully Jett was finally able to get rid of him. Then the other nightmare for Chloe came through and Savannah had to endure more torture. Again, Jett was able to find the missing girl and Savannah and get rid of Chloe's nightmare. So happy Jett and Savannah finally got their happy ending. FANTASTIC job Jane! I would recommend this book!

Super fast paced short Christmas story. Ms, Blythe sure knows how to write super creepy villains.
Jett and Savannah get a second chance at love. Best one yet.

When his ex partner goes after the woman he loves he’ll do anything to protect her.

Savannah wasn’t a victim. She might have been victimized, but she was too strong and too determined not to be a victim.

Savannah and Jett are two of a kind in that they both think of others first.  Savannah has been through so much but is still so strong.   I love that Jett is determined to win her back!  This is the third book in a series (they can be read as stand-alones) and it is great that all the loose story ends get tied up.   Of course it wouldn't be a Jane Blythe book without a truly disturbed bad guy.

This 3rd book in the series has no problem keeping up with the first two. A second chance couple that needs tragedy to strike to get over the past. A partner / friend turned killer. A romantic Christmas suspense you won’t stop reading until finished.

This is the third book in the Christmas series and I have thoroughly enjoyed each one. Although each story is a standalone it is great to also have the opportunity to catch up with characters from previous books in the series. These books are not your typical whimsical Christmas read, they all have the true Jane Blythe roller coaster ride of twisting and turning plot with many red herrings and false trails. Jett and Savannah make a brilliant couple, the sassy Crime Scene technician and Jett the FBI agent. Steamy second chance romance and Christmas sprinkles add to this exciting read. I recommend this book unreservedly and am just reaching for the next in the series

Wow! Another thrilling book by by Jane Blythe that has me gripping the edge of my seat! This book took me by surprise a bit, as the storyline was a little darker then I’ve read from her, and I loved it! The killer’s backstory and who he is makes this book even more appealing and hard to put down. I got to a point where I started wondering if the killer would be the victor in this story because the odds were so stacked against the FBI and police because of who they were dealing with. This has got to be one of my favorite books I’ve read so far in the series.

If you haven’t yet, you should one-click and read it! You’ll thank me later!

Third stand-a-lone in the series

And every bit as exciting as the first two, may even more!!!!

Jane Blythe is a mastermind at putting together the most disturbing of circumstances for her characters amid a side of romance, and she absolutely makes it work. I love her books, made even better by the fact that this series has been all about second chances, one of my favourite tropes.

This time it is FBI Crime Scene Technician, Savannah Watson’s turn for a second chance with the man she still loves even after walking away from him three years ago, because he had let her down when she’d needed him most. Now she is back in his life because she has come to the attention of a dangerous man. The man he has been hunting for the last 12 months, the man who taught him everything he knew, his former partner and FBI Agent, who has now murdered the family next door to Savannah, and taken the woman for his own.

We met Savannah in Christmas Hostage where she suffered a debilitating injury while out with Chloe on a case, and now, confined to a wheelchair she still manages to get herself in trouble. This time, however, Jett is going to be there for her, and will not walk away quietly, but a hunted man is a dangerous man, and Jett won’t let the woman down, even as the case turns deadly for Savannah.

I had to hit this book in one sitting, and absolutely loved it! Jane Blythe’s books is the literary equivalent of the criminal minds and police series on TV that I love to watch, and every bit as exciting. Getting to read the second chance romances of our main characters is really the icing on a fabulous cake!!! 5 Stars, and I’m looking forward to reading about Savannah’s twin brother, Sawyer!

Third in the series and I have to say this one is my favorite. Suspense from beginning to end. Twists and turns you never see coming. An amazing storyline with two amazing characters that you absolutely fall in love with. Jane writes such great books. Her storylines are intense, full of suspense, twists and turns, and tender moments.

This one is about Savannah and Jett. Savannah has been through so much. But she tries to remain strong no matter what she faces. But this last round she is not feeling like herself. One night she lets her cat out to do his business and hears gunshots from the neighbors. She goes to investigate and sees something that she shouldn't have. Because of what happened that night Jett her ex that she was in love with returns to investigate. But he also has to protect her what the man that she seen.

This brings them together and Jett wants her back. He will do whatever he needs to get her back. These two go through so much during this time. Savannah and Jett are facing so much. With someone coming after her Jett has to keep her safe. But will he be able too? Will Jett be able to solve this case and put the past behind him so that he and Savannah have a future? Will Savannah be able to deal with what happened in her past and present and be able to finally be happy?

I loved this one. It literally was a gripping storyline. Page turning rollercoaster ride. Jane wrote an amazing book that I could not put down. I cant wait to read more in this series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

FBI Agent Jett Crane is hunting his ex-partner who has gone off the rails. When his onetime girlfriend Savannah Watson, becomes an accidental casualty, he is both thrilled to see her again and terrified that he might become a target of the man he is searching for. Savannah, on the other hand, is not the least bit pleased with the prospect of seeing Jett again. He let her down and broke both her heart and her trust, and she has no interest in rekindling old feelings. But with a dangerous killer circling closer, reconciliation might become a moot point.

Savannah and Jett use to be a item. A smoking hot one that that but he broke her heart and she has no desire to see him ever again. When she realizes that a crime has been committed against her neighbors, never mind her safety, she has to at least try to intervene when she realizes her neighbor is being abducted. Getting involved though puts her right back in the line off Jett Crane's site. This book is good and suspenseful. There are lots of surprises to keep you interested and reading. I wasn't to crazy about Savannah thought. She like to wallow in the self pity and that just got on my nerves so very much. You just have to look past it if your going to read the book. That kept this from being a five star book for me.

I am still a little shaken as I write this review and I am excited to rave about Christmas Victim! Warning - there is a lot of heavy subjects that are hit, but Jane's writing soothes you until it passes. I have no idea how she captures her readers right from the start!

Jett has a lot to deal with for the time being, then BOOM. Savannah falls back into his life. There is a lot of history and heart ache for these two, that makes the battle so much harder. Christmas Victim will have you on a roller coaster with all the highs and lows. This is a great ready for those who are into drama and suspense. My heart broke for these characters and I was happy to see how it all played out at the end!

Jett has loved Savannah for three years ever since their breakup. Always keeping tabs on her beknownst to her. Until she became a witness and victim to a murder/kidnapping of her neighbors. Now is his chance to explain what happened leading to their breakup. Will Savannah be able to forgive him?
Savannah has suffered not only for blaming herself of her father's death but being attacked which left her in a wheelchair. After witnessing a kidnapping, the one person she doesn't need in her life appears. The FBI agent who broke her heart, Jett.
Blake was Jett's mentor while learning the procedures to becoming an FBI agent. The evil lurking within Blake has come out to play costing him to lose his job and family. Jett is determined to bring his ex partner to justice.
Marcus has served sixteen years in prison for murder and child rapist. Why did he kidnap Savannah? Is he changing his MO?
So much action packed drama and suspense with unexpected turn of events that will have your heart racing and fingers flipping through the pages.
I haven't read the first two books but Christmas Victim is definitely a must read!!

Another Fantastic Story!

This is the third book in this series and it is just as fantastic and highly entertaining as the first two. This story will keep you fully captivated and entertained from beginning to end with all of the twits and turns throughout the story and the suspense. The main characters, Savannah and Jett, are believable and relatable with their heartbreak and love for each other. Their story is thrilling and suspenseful with some very steamy romance throughout. This roller-coaster ride of a story will have you guessing right to the end!

Highly recommend it and can’t wait for the next book!!

This is the third book in the series and by far my favourite! I just read it in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down! This story puts Savannah and Jett in the main roles this time and their story is a difficult one. They’ve faced so much together and alone but can that put that all aside to solve the case? A thrilling suspense book with a side of romance, what more could you want? This roller coaster of a story will have you hooked from the beginning and trying to guess what’s going to happen in the end! Highly recommend it and can’t wait for the next book!!

Savannah & Jett have history so when he is assigned to the case she witnessed she’s not entirely happy.
Jett let savannah go once but he’s not about to make that mistake again.
I enjoyed Savannah character as she is such a strong determined woman.
Jett is the strong protective type and you can’t help but want the best for them,
A story with plenty of twists and I liked that the characters from books 1 & 2 are interlinked.
Good story
