Demigods? Powerful Sorcerers? Intertwined Destinies? Multiple timelines? Being nineteen couldn't be more exciting — and frightening.
After a near-death experience, I, Brianne Marie Harlow, learned a startling truth: I’m not just an ordinary "gifted" witch. Far from it, in fact. Instead, I’m a demigod with a prophesied destiny. My purpose in life is rooted in the depths of Witchling Academy and I may have been the very reason it came crumbling down — and may do so again.
The good news is that my Notorious Four have been reunited, and it seems each of them has grown stronger and wiser. I have one destined soulmate, but my abundant love has connected me to three more. My feelings for my men continue to grow, strengthening our bonds and powers. It's exciting to see them connect with one another…and there may just be room in our lives to experiment with new things.
We’re still working hard to improve things at school, and when you factor in my best friends Mia and Miya, as well as their loyal boyfriends, we're an unstoppable force. Many of our peers are excited about what we'll be able to achieve, but there are others who are desperate to destroy us before we can implement any change in our curriculum.
As for this mysterious prophecy? I'll have to survive the chaos darkness brings before I have a chance to meet the other three chosen women — if the enemy doesn’t stop us first.
Semester Six is about challenges, and with another Witchling Games approaching, it’s time for us to learn the truth about our origins.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Things are really getting interesting now. We start with a fascinating prologue that then picks us back up where the last book left us. There are quite a few answers to some questions that I've had then we move to vacay mode. Of course there has to be some danger after that due to the known fact that the bad guys are ramping things up. Lots of surprises along the way leading to that doozy of an ending. I cannot wait to see what happens next for this group. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
Witchling Academy Semester 6 is (obviously) the 6th book in Avery Song's Spell Traveler series. This book picks up where book five left off, so I recommend a quick read-over before diving into this book so that you are fresh on what is going on and about to come with the characters. Prepare for revelations galore, some serious surprises, and danger at every turn once the story really gets going. Avery Song has been showing serious development with her stories so I had high expectations in connection to this story. I ended up having mixed feelings concerning this book. The beginning gripped me and had me page-turning through the prologue to learn what was going to happen next. After the prologue, things slow down really fast and get a bit confusing for me. After awhile things pick back up and get interesting as the pace picks up and the danger heightens for the characters. The twists in this story are great! They pull you to the edge of your seat and then they surprise you by going in a direction you didn't see coming. I loved it. The negatives for me concerning this book are still the same. I'm ready for the juvenile/teenage behavior to stop. I need the naiveness to go. They've been through too much at this point for it to continue. I'm not saying I want them jaded, but it's time to stop with mid-teen behavior and for them to start acting like they are older and more mature. I love the steaminess of the story, but I felt that some of the sexual tension that gets introduces interrupts the story flow. I just wanted the focus to be less on that in certain situations so that the story could stay focused because it felt like too much time was given to that during serious moments. I'm wanting the relationships to really develop beyond what they are right now. The only relationships that don't really flipflop are Bri's and Jax's. I need others to develop and mature. All in all, I am rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. It has some really good moments, but the behavior of the characters need development. Bri has been through too much and experienced too much to still be so naive. I don't like that the author is making the guys act more juvenile themselves when they started out a lot more mature in the beginning. I'm really hopeful that the characters will develop more in the next book. When the story is good, it's really good, but when it begins to struggle with the characters it drags me down. I honestly am looking forward to the next book though as the storyline continues to come together. Exciting things are coming so grab this book and dive in.
A Few More Shocking Revelations!!😱🙈💥 (Read using Kindle Unlimited) Witchling Academy: Semester Six (Spell Traveller Chronicles #6)
Bri & her men, the Notorious 4, are all reconnecting after the shocking 90 day time freeze most of the World were trapped in. (After using her Time Traveller magic she was able to send herself, Jax, Mia & Myia to their final exam, which they passed, just, to shatter the time freeze spell!!🙏💥)
Professor Phoenix soon gathers them all to fill them in on the last lives of Marianna, Bri, Jason & Jaxin & what happened to them & the world!!😱💔😭 She warns them that the Shadow People will be all out to end their Bri by the end of this semester to recreate the doom from the past.😳😢 She advises them to take the holiday season to train & gain in strength magically, physically & mentally as well as as a team!🙏😍
There are a few big revelations in the latter half of the book. Unfortunately most of the book, much like with 'SSS Term 4', this book is chock full of waffle!😔🙈 There's so much talking about will they make it, will they be strong enough etc etc that it was, quite frankly, pretty boring & repetitive! The action was *very* limited. Fennick showed the most growth, especially in the face of tragedy!💔😭🙏 I really hope the next book ups the action factor because I really struggled to get through this book, which breaks my heart a bit!!💔
This was... WOW! That's all I gotta say! Holy freaking s***!!! I'm still trying to recover from MAJOR BOMBSHELL!!😮😶 This was the best in the series so far! I love Brianne! Her character continues to grow! I can't wait until all 4... Or is it 5 now??... Anyway can't wait until the girls get together and fight the darkness! It's like Sailor Moon with better powers and hotter guys!!😍😘 Can't wait for more!! Avery Song is one of my favorite authors. I recommend ALL HER books!!❤
I have officially given up trying to understand this plot. Two books to go and I can move on with my life. My mother didn’t raise a quitter so I cannot and will not DNF this series. I dug my own grave and listened to a recommendation.
The annoying thing is these characters have POTENTIAL. The writing just doesn’t execute the idea. Everything feels surface level and the plot is convoluted with little to no build up or explanation. The relationships could be pretty good but they also lack depth.
I’ve been hoping for some major character growth. Shedding the naïveté, growing into the RH relationship, more openness to adult situations and language.... I couldn’t even finish the book. It’s really more of the same, oddly innocent and strangely worded male POVs, and will they-won’t they drama. I loved the start of this series but I don’t think I’ll continue.
SYNOPSIS (of Books 1-6): This story is set in a world where magic and non magic users all live together. The FC is a strong witch with a gift of mimicking other‘s magic and travelling to places. The Books cover the FC, Brianne, and her best friend going to Witchling Academy together and the FC meeting 4 MCs for whom she falls. The Books cover the development of the FCs relationship with the MCs and the issues she has with the resident mean girl, her best friend and being bullied. As they progress they go into the deeper reason for the existence of the Witchling Academy and the existence of Gods and Goddesses.
🌶️/🍆🍆 - there are minimal sex scenes and those that there were I found to be quite cringeworthy I‘m afraid.
The story is fine and there are not too many typos and editing issues. My main dislikes were the juvenile dialogue and the characters who came across as very young. I enjoy academy books and maybe this is just aimed at a much younger audience.
The men are passive and there‘s a lot of new man crying and male angst. I‘m afraid I like the MCs to be strong and more alpha and these 4 MCs were the opposite. The FC is portrayed as very innocent to the extent that she apparently doesn‘t know anything about sex and is completely ignorant of when people like her. Considering she is 17 to begin with that just comes across as nonsensical. With books, TV and everything else no girl can remain so ignorant of sex. The result, I found was that the FC just came across as completely unbelievable and not very bright. As examples, a group says about Elijah and Elisha “they’re going to do it” and Bri’s internal monologue has her saying “Do What? … don’t tell me they’re going to do that whole “where babies come from” thing?” (cringe); In the same scene she’s called a who%e and her internal monologue has her asking what that is and “is that similar to that slut word?” 🙄
The relationships are insta like/love with yet another FC suddenly considered the centre of the MC‘s universe simply because the author says so with no evidence given to support why. There‘s alot of emphasis on bullying and how damaging it is but the author doesn‘t really seem to do anything more than go on about bullying with at least 2 of the main characters suffering from it.
The author also seems to have a thing about twins and those twins having almost exactly the same names - what on earth is that about? There are 3 main sets of twins called Mia&Miya; Akino&Akono; and Kito&Koyo - seriously? It’s as if the author wanted them to be one dimensional and lacking individuality.
Whilst the books are well written I lost interest around Book 3 and skim read more and more before giving up at Book 6 when things just became too confusing and, for me, ridiculous when you discover the deeper meaning to Jax & Brianne and Witchling Academy.
I liked this book. I do love the multiple povs, even tho it’s mostly of the fmc. This plot is starting to get seriously complicated. I feel Avery wanted to throw me in a over full washing machine and I had to figure out what way was up vs down. She’s got a twin… that’s from a different series. Don’t get me wrong, the beginning of this book Professor Phoenix cleared up a lot of the confusion from the last book, but I feel like there’s so many moving parts in this that I don’t know what to focus on. I keep waiting for the fmc to bring out her recording of that horrid bully but it never happens. I can’t wait for that smack down! She needs a back handed slap from someone who couldn’t find any toilet paper the last time they went #2 and didn’t wash their hands after. Seriously, that woman keeps getting worse and worse. I’m also curious to find out if her ex bestie did survived or not. Gosh, it still hurts my heart that the fmc went through that over several books. I am happy to see she doesn’t think of him nearly as much. I’ve had to cut ppl out of my life before and it’s soul destroying when you grew up with them and knew what you thought was everything. Alas, we all grow, new ppl come into our lives and we all make new memories. Which is what happened with the fmc in this book. She’s grown, these new ppl keep popping up and I just know they will play a larger role in the near future. I can’t wait!
I couldn't even get past the opener. Maybe it was a flashback, maybe it was a memory of one of the past timelines but I just lost the will to keep reading this series at 'harvest his seed'.
Added to all the other issues with this series, the short lenghts, the big time jumps, the increasingly convoluted plot and a whole lot of telling but no showing writing style, I hate when a RH turns into soulmate plus those other guys.
RH and why chose ONLY works if everyone is mostly equal. I think its ok if 1 has a deeper connection but every other partner needs to have a special thing with the MC too. The balance in this series has been off for a while now. First it was ALL Elijah, then it was mostly Jax with a side of Connor. More focus has been on Finnigan and Kaito's relationshio development than their individual ones with the FMC. I don't mind sword crossing but this story doesn't really change if Finn and Kaito are just the FMC's beloved friends because the romance part has been nearly non-existant so far anyway. Now we have Jax/Connor and we STILL haven't gotten the FMC with anyone but Jax.
Sorry, I know this is really rant-y but I just hate when a series I'm super into just gets progressively worse. And I really hate when an established series starts to feel like nothing more than a lead-in for another yet-to-be-written series (which I suspect will involve the four FMC's) from the author's academy themed books.
I tried, I really tried to finish the whole saga because Brianne was a character unlike the one I'm used to reading in reverse harem books, her innocence was really refreshing and in each book I could see her grow and evolve. I ignored the multiple flaws in the writing, the poor world building and the magical setting they were in, the lack of development of the other characters and the relationship, the same old dialogue, the redundancy, everyone spending it all crying, among other things, but I reached my limit.
The story was left out, there wasn't much coherence, and even though Avery tried to shape the story as the book progressed, the explanation was a bit illogical, the plot was all over the place and she didn't know how to connect all the dots.
I feel that there are books that were unnecessary and could have been summarized or joined into one. There is a tolerance limit of the same dialogues about bullying, death and insecurities, the same monologues and redundancies, the same descriptions in all the books about her vacations doing different activities instead of her classes at the academy, her evolution in magic and only 2 chapters in the academy with time jumps of months until it's enough for me and I get bored and put the saga aside. That limit was reached with book 6. Even Brianne can't get me to keep reading this saga. I love her, but this is as far as I've gone.
This sixth book in the series starts off with a bang and start right where the last book finished! I will admit I had to re-read the ending of book five so that I could refresh myself with the story so this is definitely a series you have to read all the books! The beginning of the book is fast paced and exciting but it does tend to slow down a bit, this is not a bad thing as it helps the reader catch your breath. I am still enjoying this series, however the way that Bre is still quite innocent does get on my nerves...her and the guys have gone through so much I really want to read them all developing and maturing! Avery Song is a very talented author and I hope that she can keep up the intrigue and excitement with the next book!
This book tells how we as people have a good (light) & bad (dark) side. It does get you thinking about the people around you. Who is there to bring you as a person not bring you down. You notice how Bri's friends always try to bring her up even when she tries to take herself down. Even people who just meet her do the same, but It is strange that the ones trying to take her down didn't get to understand her first. You also notice the familiar do the same thing. Even on first meeting her. You will also need a box of Kleenex if you are like me. The are some real good funny parts, I like when Bri is trying to snow board. This is a series you really MUST read
I've officially caught up to all of the books in this series and it's not just Whitchling Academy, it's all the others,as they all tie in to gather in overlap. The entire idea of this book is incredible and how it brings in the different series to help each other out build a story is fantastic I can't wait for the next one.
Everything seems to be going Bri's way,or is it?The start of semester 6 is starting off with a bang. The final exam is now upon them I hope they survive.June is too long to wait for the next book.
Continual confusing time paradoxes, +18 rating on certain scenes. She tied most of her other novels into this story. I hope i can get my time straight for the next book
I did not see that ending coming at all! I love that things are starting to come together and we are getting more answers. I can’t wait to finish this series. One of my favorites!
dnf-ing it here. can't read it anymore. but i am going to read about silver lady even though ik it will be bad. i just an't with this series anymore. the characters are starting to get so fucking annoying
Oh wow I am so glad that I never had exams like they do. Poor Brie and her Notorious 4 are having a rough couple years, now a new twin oh boy look out year 7
Okay things really pick up in this book, there is more sexy times, there is way more intrigue, and that ending? I was laughing hysterically. Love this series so much.
With everything that is being continuously reviled in the new books it is starting to stress me out.
I genuinely feel as if though something needs to give like I feel like they discover something new about themselves every single day and every small break something dramatic happens and they receive some incredible transformation and yet keep dying and are still pretty lacking in defending their unless they need to prove a point.
Still a great book and its on to #7 for me

Every book is better, Avery Song is a brilliant writer who can capture our attention from the beginning. From the first book, Bri won my heart for her sunny personality, her nativity, her love for her family and it has been a pleasure to see her grown into the strong woman we are seeing more and more. This story is full of explanations but it still left so much for the next plots. The boys aren’t boys anymore. They have transformed and gained so much more power and maturity, also the level of hotness skyrocketed 🤭. Mia and Mya are the best of best friends and we got more of them in this one. Elsa and Fuua are so cute and their interactions made some funny scenes. Soooo get prepared for a lot to happen, in the book and with your emotions. Can’t wait the next one!
This was another winner. I love this series but this book was different. It told a story in each chapter. I think it worked very well. I highly recommend this series to everyone who loves witches and paranormal characters in their books. Diana Romano
This book was so fantastic that I can’t wait to do a re-read. It has heart jerking moments; along with funny and sexy times that will have you cheering for Brianne and her amazing men.
In this next adventure Bri spends time with her men, and explores the different facets of her relationships with them, for awhile it seems like Bri struggled to understand why her life kept getting sidetracked by outside forces that were wanting to not only destroy her relationships, but ultimately destroy Bri and her destiny.
But through her perseverance and her strengthening relationships she has not only managed to survive but she and her Notorious 4 have managed to thrive.
With help from her sister and her friends she receives information that proves that she is not only growing in strength but also in knowledge. It is this knowledge that helps her meet the next big test that she is given, and this test is HUGE!
Join Brianne and her amazingly strong group of friends and lovers as she finds out that just because someone is trying to force a certain outcome doesn’t mean that you have to passively sit by and await the outcome. Brianne will bring her own brand of chaos to the party!
