The Academy is falling apart and I may be one of the only people who can hold it together.

Surviving Freshman and Sophomore years at the Supernatural Academy was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. But now, an even harder task awaits...

...staying away from Rowan Underwood.

He's made his choice, going with the very people responsible for every evil that's befallen us over the last two years. I'm over him. Or, at least that's what I tell myself.

But I've got other things to worry about. Mainly, how to keep the Academy together while gnomes run rampant, foes attack, and the leadership struggles just to keep order.

The question is can I keep it all together without losing myself in the process?

You will love the continuation of this magical academy series with kick-ass action, hot romance, and earth-shattering magic that will make you tingle in all the right places.

OMG, it was hard putting this books down. We have so much suspense. Charlie is trying to be good this year. Will she be able too? Charlie and her friends go through some rough times. Rowan knows something, but is not telling her or is it that she is not listening? What is happening with some of the students? Can she figure out what's going on? Who can she trust? What are these Gnomes doing, can she control them? What is happening with the leadership in the Academy? Can't wait for next book. I received a free copy for my honest review.

Another semester

I want to love this book and at the same time throw it Charlie's face!
The storyline and world building was just as spectacular as the last book, but I'm having a hard time dealing with Charlie's choices and attitude.

Charlie has somehow reached her Junior Witch year without being expelled. But, things look a bit more precarious for her now, as her main sponsor, Dean McIntosh has disappeared and Macgregor Underwood (a late recruit to Charlie’s side) is dead. She vows that this year she will keep her head down, and follow all the rules, since it was her disobedience last year that lead to Underwood’s death. What is more, she vows to NOT think about Rowan (who has now gone to the dark side), and to focus on her school work. (Can this really be the Charlie that we know and love?).
To help keep her out of trouble, Irmagard McIntosh (now in charge in her sister’s absence) assigns Charlie the job of looking after the gnomes who have come to assist at the school, and of keeping them in line. If you are now having visions of those cute, but kitsch, little gnomes that people have in their gardens, think again. These gnomes are not they. These are naturalist gnomes – wearing clothes (especially trousers) is an anathema to them. They are tiny, ugly, with nasty jangling bits, AND are as mischievous as a Mogwai that drank water after midnight. Charlie has her work cut out for her.
Apart from the gnomes, there are other newcomers to the school this year, in particular, three young Fae: Sinasre, Lancer, Anama. As is always the case with Fae, they are stunningly gorgeous – but can they be trusted? Will Sinasre be able to make Charlie finally forget about Rowan? “A quiver tripped over my skin. He was so handsome, so exotic, but I forced my eyes away with a reminder that I was not interested. No, Charlie. Bad. School. School was my priority.”
One thing I particularly like about Charlie, is that, however quick she is to judge someone, she will always reconsider her stance if she is faced with compelling new evidence. Another thing is her steadfast loyalty. When someone has been good to her – such as Trey, Disha, Dean McIntosh, the School, … then she will do anything to protect them, regardless of the danger or cost to herself. Her loyalty, though, has on occasion, been misplaced. Rowan has gone over to the Subversives – the ones who killed his own father – and who killed Trey.
However, things are no longer black and white – much as Charlie would like them to be: “It isn’t the first time that someone’s told me the Academy gobbled up all the portals and left others out in the cold.” Disha grabbed my arm. “What are you saying? That we’re the bad guys?”; “And weren’t the subversives trying to help less fortunate Supernaturals? But who knew? Maybe they just wanted to destroy the Academy for all the wrongs of the past, rather than work to fix it and make it better for everyone.” Charlie and her friends (with a bit of gnomic aid) have to find out, before everything is lost.
Another great, adventure-packed episode in the Supernatural Academy series.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book at no cost from the author in exchange for an honest review

Didn’t finish

This series started out very well and I was excited to keep reading the books. However, starting with the last one, it was just too much angst and not enough character development or plot.

Although Rowan had turned into a Vampire, Charlie had spent most of her last year at the Academy and her summer as well trying to help him break this curse, and to return to the Academy, even tying herself to him so he could draw magic from her and go to the school. However, Rowan has turned his back on all of it, and joined Tempest and the Subversives, turning on the Academy, and worse, joining those responsible for the death of his Father.
Initially Charlie tries to forget him, to purge him from her mind, and after the death of Dean Underwood, and with Dean McIntosh still missing, Charlie decides that she has to change her behaviour, and how she does things for good.
In this book, we see the introduction of the Fae, with their University, Merry Weather, having been shut down due to issues, they transfer to the Supernatural Academy, and Charlie does not take long before she is making eyes with a Fae called Sinasre who just happens to be making every girl on campus melt into a puddle.
Charlie really tries in this book to be a good girl, focusing on her studies, and staying out of trouble, but it just seems that no matter what is happening, trouble will come and find her. With her faithful sidekicks, the delightful, and rather delicious Disha, (I swear her name is a play on Dish – because she is meant to be such a ‘Dish’), who, although has a boyfriend, still manages to keep every boy wanting her, and teases all of them with her wardrobe and her actions, and some Fae actively trying to take her. And then there is Bridget, who is has always been borderline given her parents occupation, but has probably slipped over that line since the attack and subsequent withdrawal from the Academy of her Brother. Now Bridget is ready for payback, and hell hath no fury like a Bridget Scorned….
With break-ins, attacks, thefts of powerful magical items, and Subversives misbehaving, the girls are struggling to keep up with everything, and Charlie is having a hard time keeping up her promise to be a good girl and stay out of trouble.
This book does see a subtle shift in Charlie, she is a bit older, and with that growth, we see a relaxing of her attitude towards sex, and Charlie becomes much more of a sexual creature in this book. There are some incredibly intense scenes in this book that you are going to want to make sure that you are not disturbed for!!
But it is not just this side of Charlie that has changed.
When Charlie lost Trey, she was younger, and she thought of vengeful things, she was brash, and quick to fire up, and acted without thinking. However, these actions have gotten her into strife, both into the trouble with authority kind, and the ‘Oh God, Oh God I’m going to Die’ kind.
After the death of Dean Underwood, for which Charlie directly blames herself, because as she sees it, if she hadn’t been involved, the Dean wouldn’t have had to act, and thus save her, and he wouldn’t have then lost his life.
Charlie has matured over the series, and her character has grown quite a bit. The ongoing inner monologue has come to realise the mistakes, learning from them, and trying to not only fix them, but to avoid them to begin with. Disha is still rather self-obsessed, and has not changed much, and if anything, Bridget has become even more aggressive since they stared and her Brother was taken down by Subversives.
This book I think showed a real change in the series as it become a much more complex story, there are a lot more aspects to the story, with the Romance not just about kissing, but deeper feelings and intimacy, leading towards, well no spoilers here, but geez, make sure you have some privacy!!
The action sequences are next level, the intricate detail and depth of the spell casting is (pardon the pun), Magical, in that the Authors have really thought about this aspect of the story, and instead of just some ‘Handwavium’, have included comprehensive details of the magic to make the story more realistic, and it gives the story so much more depth. More importantly, there has been a real development of the storylines, moving from just the simpler stories of Charlie becoming a Witch, finding a boy etc, to some very complex, multi-faceted storylines involving the Subversives aspects within the Subversives, different things with the Academy, there are stories with nearly all of her Teachers, her Friends, now the Fae, even her Bracelets. It moves this from being something that is more young-adult into something that is more of an Adult Urban Fantasy, and most definitely worth the read, as no matter which storyline you are currently arcing down, all of them are not only exceptional, but make for a lot of fun.
The other thing I really like about this series is the continued portrayal of creatures such as the Vampires and Werewolves, in which the Authors have made them their own, but still paid homage to the original legends, and haven’t done anything really weird with them. It just makes for a great Urban Fantasy story.
If you are looking for something that is a fantastic read, in every sense of the word, the Supernatural Academy series will not let you down, it has to be one of the best I have read in the Genre.

I received an advance copy from the author.

Wow. Just wow. I’m struggling to find any other words. Given how Sophomore Witch went, I was a little wary that Junior Witch would be similarly filler-y, but I absolutely flew through this. It was just so fluid and cohesive and easily picked up from where Sophomore Witch left off. It was equally well written and absorbing, if not more so, and it had all of the elements of the first two, but we actually saw some interesting character development! And we met some new ones that I honestly wish we had seen a bit more of. But no matter.

I have to say I liked this new side of Charlie. She was still a little annoying, but she appears to be growing up a bit. And yes, there was a lot of sitting around and talking, but this time I could feel the undercurrent of tension. It felt like there was a bomb about to detonate (which I suppose there actually was). And the reveals in this book I can honestly say I could never have seen coming. Right when you think you’ve figured out what road the plot is driving on, it suddenly veers off the road, down a hill, off a cliff, and into the ocean. And thinking back on it, I can see why it went that way. There were little hints carefully woven in that I didn’t really notice before, but now that I know what’s going on, make perfect sense. And it’s things like that that make me appreciate the craft that is writing.

Junior Witch is easily my favourite so far out of the whole series. The characters were more likeable, the stakes felt higher, and it was masterfully crafted. And with how it ended, I know that waiting for the next one to come out will be absolute torture. Not even the teaser was enough; I need more now!

DNF this series for having a loser FMC

I tried so hard to like this series. I really did. But Charlie is probably the worst main character I've ever came across in a YA series of all time. So weak, so childish, so naive, so gullible. Ugh. This is the girl who grow up in the streets?? I know kids who grow up homeless, they're cunning, mischievous and you'd never play them. They can see right through manipulation and bs. How can she keep going back to Rowan? He is the worst. Q cowardly dude who does nothing but bring harm to people. He joined the people who killed trey and she was still melting whenever he touched her... TREY LITERALLY DIED PROTECTING HER and that's what she's doing?? Ew. He never protected, not once. He used her, stole her magic nearly draining her dead and she still followed him like a lost puppy??? Ew. He showed more protection and care towards tempest than he ever showed her, she makes me so enraged. The cuffs are her entire personality. Disha and drew and Bridgit should be the main characters. Charlie is just stupid.
I won't be finishing this series. I tried to go through senior witch but i saw Charlie getting back with Rowan again 🙄 no groveling no apologies nothing he touched her f*_@& cheek and she just melted. Ugh disgusting. What kind of heroines these authors keep promoting?? And a YA tht other young girls are gonna be reading. They need badass characters not a loser like charlie.

Being book.3. In this series, i thought, what else can I add when the previous books in my opinion have already excelled. However once again Ingrid Seymour & Katie French have managed to take my breath away with a storyline of heartfelt despair and longing. A new race enters our favourite Academy and stir up more than resentment. Charlie our favourite main character steps through the wall they erect and finds much more than she anticipated. Grieving for the loss of two heads within the academy, it’s a welcome distraction. She vows to invoke a new disposition, but how long or if she can keep it up leads to her questioning every action, especially when more than once she questions her fealty to a new regime, she starts to contend. Secrets and lies surround her by, and in the Academy she wants to protect. Battles become a constant, Will the duplicity ever end ? After the ultimate deception that rips her heart out, she is asked a question that fundamental goes against all her ethics. Book.4. Can’t come soon enough for me, every book and character evolves with each and every hostile encounter, keeping your adrenaline going and your intrigue on fire.

So, middle of the series, climax time! And wow, what a climax! (Mind outta the gutter people!)

Charlie is assaulted from practically all sides this book. Rowan and Tempest, Bonnie - Rowan's mom - a constant reminder of her guilt over McGregor's death. Dean McIntosh still missing. Now she has headaches from nowhere and it feels like she can trust no one. Crazy!

I thought at the beginning of the book there was much less over describing of the beautiful people. Then in the middle it picked up again.

Besides that, though, there is a ton more action at the end of the book than the previous two. And, surprise, a cliffhanger ending! Lol. I like it though. Builds tension and suspense.

The story is fantastic and pulls you in. It really doesn't feel like a 250-300 page book. It moves so fast, even during the less actiony parts. Can't wait to see how the next book progresses. So close to the end!

Never fear... Charlie is here!💖

Suffice to say this series just continues to get better and better. Charlie and her friends are once more drawn into more than one crazy and dangerous adventure. Tragedy befall her loved ones once more, and deception on a whole other level takes place. Someone within the Academy walls is working on the side of evil. Can Charlie and her pals figure out what's going on? Expect a few jaw dropping surprises along the way. Through it all, Charlie keeps her huge heart and will to protect those she loves. Definitely read the previous books first if you've not yet read them. Otherwise relationships and events within the book won't make sense. I for one can't wait for SENIOR YEAR to come out 💖😊. This series never disappoints with the amount of action, adventure and surprises along the way!

Charlie and her friends are back for their Junior year but this time without Rowan due to him deciding to join the side of evil at the end of last year. It was funny watching Charlie try to be good and stay out of trouble. Of course that did not last long and so started all the adventure and mayhem like the last two years. Many scenes made me laugh, sigh, groan, and almost cry when bad things happened to the good guys. New and old good guys and bad guys show up. Of course I loved the gnomes and how much trouble they caused or got into. They were good for a laugh. Loved the twists and turns and cannot wait to see what happens in Charlie's senior year. Just a good story that kept me entertained and reading until the end just to see what would be revealed and how and what Charlie would survive this time.

Charlie has lots of troubles, with Rowan, rising evil, gnomes running rampant and so much more in Junior Witch, the exciting, wonderfully written, and action filled book 3 addition to Ingrid Seymour and Katie French’s Supernatural Academy series. It’s enough to drive one to distraction and to ask if she can keep it all together, but I’d never bet against Charlie and her friends. What results is a another fabulous tale, perfectly plotted and really well written. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Danger abounds!

Ingrid Seymour and Katie French have done an awesome job again! Looks as if Charlie is in the middle of it as usual. This installment brings great danger to the students, and of course Charlie, if she doesn’t figure a way out. Lots of excitement, great danger, even murder occurs within the walls of the Academy this semester. Who can Charlie trust? She and her friends, Disha and Bridget, try whatever they can to thwart the evil but it is beyond their means to do so. A number of battles between students and teachers, against experienced evil warlocks, even a mentalist who could do serious damage to your brain. It was very exciting and well written. I’m anxiously looking forward to reading the next book waiting with bated breath.

Action packed urban fantasy series

An action packed urban fantasy Series. A great cast of characters and a fantastic storyline. Along the lines of a Harry Potter type epic story. Good versus evil witches wizards warlocks vampires werewolves fairies gnomes all sorts of supernatural beings a school although a college in this case. An evil wizard wanting to take over and destroy good things and replace it with bad things. Toss in a couple of minor relationship scenarios and naked gnomes running around and at times it even has funny moments. Action packed thrilling and entertaining from beginning to end. Check it out

Something is afoot

After a disasterous sophmore year, Charlie vows to be better and do better. Rowan is a wanted criminal, working with the very people who had caused his fathers death. His mother is now a dean at the school and the regant is in charge, with dean mcintosh still missing. As Charlie learns more and more, she begins to suspect that things arent as they seem and that maybe she is on the wrong side.

The twists definitely pop up in this book. Nothing and no one are as they seem and its hard to know who to trust!

Yes! *air punch*

Finally! Some of the questions are answered! But it sucked to watch her go through everything just to find out people withheld information from her. At they same time, you know it was a growing experience that she needed. You just want to punch some of them in the face though, and they shouldn't act surprised at her reaction. I stayed up most of the night reading this book because it sucks you in. Now I'm off to binge read the next, because it has to get better for her!

A Cliff Hanger

Just when you think Charlie is done with Rowen because he’s turned to the other side, he shows up when she’s injured. Charlie is conflicted; who is Rowen? Junior Year, the third book in the academy series, has unexpected twists and turns that leaves readers on the edge of their seats all the way to the cliffhanger ending! I immediately pre-ordered Senior Year. You’ll want to do the same.

A lot happening in this book

A lot happens in this book and really look forward to the next book.

However Rowan keeps key information from Charlie that allows needless deaths. I don’t understand his reasoning at all. He and one other had opportunities to tell her and I don’t buy the excuse I didn’t tell you for your own protection.

That being said I still enjoyed the book...lots of action and different villains are introduced.....

Can you teach a witch to make magic, of course! Can a supernatural academy teach spells and magic, of course. Charlie, Disha, and Bridget was at school, learning things that a witch can do, but everywhere Charlie was, trouble found her. This witch had to find out the how come and why's for the happenings on campus. They found out way more than they were really ready for. A good continuing series, very well written!

Supernatural Academy Junior Witch

This was another winner. I just love this series. The students are great and some of the teachers. Some of them are bad. Boy it was hard to tell which was which. Now I am waiting for the last book to see how they get the bad guys. I highly recommend all her books and different series. To everyone that loves to read paranormal mysteries. Diana Romano

This series just gets better and better with each book!

I am so loving how this story is going. Charlie is super kickass. So much surprises and suspense my gosh! I cried at certain parts as well as laughed out loud or smiled huge. This has to be the best book yet i think. I am a huge fan of this series. You will never guess what will happen. Things aren't as they seem. So much awesomeness! I highly recommend this story! I can't wait to find out what happens next!!!! So GOOD!

I defiantly lost sleep reading this book due to the fact that I couldn't put it down. Dean McIntosh is missing and the Academy is not the same with out her. Of course Charlie can't let things alone and has to take matters into her own hands. There is a lot of Major events that take place during their Junior year and of course we are left with another cliffhanger. Now I can't wait to read Senior Witch to find out what happens.

Will her wish be granted?

Charlie made a promise to herself, she won't go rushing in to dangerous situations without thinking anymore. Unfortunately, that resolve will be put to the test when she finds out that the fae in the school are in great danger.
Fascinating, and unique characters that I love, but with villains that you love to hate. Fantastic. Action packed magical battles, fae warriors, and a diabolical conspiracy. I loved this book, and can't wait to read the next one.

I adore this series which keeps on getting better and better with each new addition. Charlie and her friends are growing up and struggle to handle the problems that arise in the academy with style, panache and courage. The new characters and the especially the fae add a new dimension to the intrigue. Tons of suspense, action and surprises, this one is a real page turner. Loved it!

3,5 ish still entertainig while I do think sometimes its too much but comes out nicely so far. It has some downs when it feels the heroine has a never ending struggle and even with best intent all fails which makes me feel down but so far the writer duo made it out nicely…
Im very much interested what comes out of it so jumping to senior/fall semester right now :)

This book is non-stop excitement. There were so many surprises and twists that I had no clue what was going to happen next. I hate when a book is predictable and you know how it will turn out. No worries here. This is a fast paced and deeply satisfying read. 😊

As a Junior, Charlie is facing most of the same issues. One of her merits is presumed dead and a Regent takes over the Academy. Rowan turns even further from her. Charlie meet 3 new Fae students and gets into more trouble. An epic battle e sues.
