When Alba McNeil agrees to stand in for her friend as a nanny out West, she has no idea her life will take such a turn. When she arrives in Wyoming, she finds a heartbroken widower and a sweet, needy infant, both desperate for a woman’s touch. And as she sets to work making a home for the small family, she also finds herself falling love with them both. Charlie Flannery is still reeling from the loss of his wife and is grateful for the help around the house. And as Alba makes his house a home again, he finds himself falling in love with her. So when the truth of Alba’s past comes out—along with her real name—his heart is broken all the more. Can a jealous foe come between two hearts meant to be, even when weighted by lies?
Again Emma has written a sweet short story that ends with a sigh and feel good factor. What an obnoxious girl Fanny was and somewhat malicious one at that as well, to open a letter which didn't belong to her. Gretchen, Fanny's sister more than made up for her nasty ways. The little family of Charley, Alba and Elsie were endearing and the story as sweet as the 'Apple pie' Alba made, eventually!!!! I would thoroughly recommend the book.
Cute but too short. Alba is a heck of a friend for doing what she did for her bestie, but of course, it all turns out all right in the end. Fanny was a fun villianess, a pie-making harpie, a snoop and clueless flouncer, she might have been my favorite character as the others were so thinly sketched. Like I said, I would have enjoyed more length and depth, but for what it was, not a bad read.
She was the nanny, for cripes sake! Sometimes doing a friend, a favor can bite you in the behind. Nothing ends well when you lie. Add in a snoopy, jealous, bride-want-to-be when the man in question is a widower, and you have trouble.
This story is a short, light, candy-type of reading--a pleasurable way to take a mental nap.
I liked the story. Good and believable characters, however, it seemed to need a bit more. Could have added a good outcome for Gretchen, as well as more information on Jenny. Apart from that, a good promising start.
Mail Oder Bride: A Bride in Disguise for the Widow..
I love reading about what friends Jenny and Alba would do to help each other even lie about it There was too many secrets and secrets have a way of coming out..
I've enjoyed reading this story, A Bride in Disguise, the story of a pair of young women, who traded I D to fool their parents. The story is a wonderful story of mishaps and romance.
That was quite interesting. Sometimes we do things for our friends and they back fire. We need to be truthful in all of our dealings. I loved the outcome of the story very much.
A nice build up to a partnership between Alba and Charlie. Sweet little girls, especially Gretcian. Loved the outcome and how it was put together. Another good book from pure reads and by Emma Morgan.
Mail Order Bride: A Bride in Disguise for the Widowed Rancher By Emma Morgan

I loved the tightness of friends but the deceit it cause not so much. I loved Gretchen, the little sister, those little sisters know how to right wrongs.
