Hell hath no fury...It's been a bumpy road for Jane Grimshaw (aka The Phoenyx), sexy, badass supernatural assassin, keeping the streets of Crystal Haven safe from the devilish creatures of the night. Trauma seems to find her at every turn, and it hasn't let up yet.
Seek, vanquish, destroy, bury.
She's battled her fair share of the pearly fanged vamps that prowl the night and even faced off with demons straight from the very bowels of Hell. But a wicked half-sister and an undead nemesis who want her head on a platter are trying her patience. Not to mention the shifters that want to see her dead for reasons even she can't fathom.
Those who are lost make the tastiest prey.
Confronting her own demons may prove to be her most challenging adventure yet--and this time, she's lost too much to succumb to any repeat performances. Anyone who dares to venture near will ignite the unadulterated wrath of The Phoenyx.
Multi-genre romance author Daisy St. James is the mother of three wildlings, and wife to one patient, amazing and supportive man. Her husband is the love of her life, and you’ll find a little of him in every hero she writes. Most of her Heroines have a bit of her in them as well. In doing so, she’s made their love immortal.
Creating engaging, heartfelt stories for her readers is her passion, and she LIVES to write steamy romances with strong female leads and sexy bad boys.
She currently lives in Montreal, Canada, where she drinks too much coffee, listens to really loud music, and makes magic happen with words.
A third part in the series about Phoenyx. After the loss of her beloved, Phoenyx is lost and does not know what to do to cope with her grief. And while she makes (perhaps wrong) choices, her half sister still tries to kill her with the vampire Spider by her side. Both look for a new place where there is a gate to Hell. Spider knows one on the land of wolfshifters and goes looking for help from within which he finds in the form of Vanessa, a wolfshifter. And while the Alpha falls for Phoenix, Spider falls for Vanessa. This cannot but lead to despair, chaos and upheaval from the actions that follow.
A part in which a lot is still happening but which brings peace to Phoenyx. Curious about part 4

Excellent 3rd book in the series. I love this story and can not wait to read the final book in the series. Love the characters and their development and the plot keeps me interested. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Marcus is the alpha of his pack since his father died he grew up with Vanessa and they were each other’s firsts but all Vanessa wanted was the power that went with being an alpha’s mate, she used sex against Marcus all the time it always worked but March has to put a stop to it now. Jane aka Phoenix is an assassin she looks around her apartment and there were dead demon corpses everywhere, her sister Lilith who is a succubus killed the man she loved Jacob and her real father who had only just come into her life was killed by her nemesis Spider who’s a vampire so her life is literally going to hell. Phoenix has powers she can read minds and control people’s emotions she doesn’t actually know what she is, her father was scared of her so now she’s packing her clothes to take off because everyone that she has ever loved has died so she just leaves. Wow what an amazing story but there is so much going on in this story that if I keep writing it will be a couple of pages, I love this story actually the series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Jane aka The Phoenyx is still grieving the loss of her lover. Heartbroken and seeking comfort, the sexy, badazz supernatural assassin makes an unwise decision. The enemy? Marcus is enjoying the life he chose. His dream. Is he neglecting his responsibilities as alpha of his pack? Vanessa and Marcus are hot and heavy sexually. She is so in love with him that she'll do anything to become his alpha queen. Does he feel the same way? Ash watches and protects The Phoenyx as best he can. His feelings for her are beginning to surface. Spider is cute, dangerous and cunning. He will do whatever is necessary to get what he wants even if it's the woman that has stolen his heart. Promise to give her the world on a silver platter! When tragedy strikes the pack what will Marcus do? Who is responsible? I can't get enough of this series! Can't wait to read more about Ash and Spider! They've stolen my heart! Phoenyx in Flames#1 and Phoenyx Falling #2 should be read first before From Within #3. Love the covers!!
This book... how do I??? What do I??? Oh, the greatness!
Characters? Profound and diverse.
Plot ? Twisty, unpredictable, and consisting of quite a few that are ALL woven perfectly TOGETHER!
Setting? Gritty and earthy and urban.
My only complaint? IT IS too short. This author could make books the size of Bibles and they would still feel too short. She knows how to construct a story and executes with perfect precision!
The way these characters mingle, how they interact, the chemistry and the depth!!!! All flawless work!
To have this many characters in a story and be able to make them all stand out with individual presence is a gift. Each one has a face, voice, and irreplaceable role in the book!
❤️🌼🔥I LOVE NOVELLAS....SOMETIMES!!!!❤️🌼 I’ve said this before, but I don’t normally read paranormal or supernatural books....I’ve always said, “I’m just not into them!”.......❤️🌼🔥 But, this series by Daisy St. James taught me about demons, succubi, incubi, witches, warlocks, even vampires, other than what Hollywood’s version has always been, so, I have loved PHOENYX IN FLAMES, PHOENYX FALLING, and now, FROM WITHIN, and this series has been a learning experience for me.. But if these books hadn’t hooked me as quickly as they did, I still would have no knowledge of the undead.....❤️🌼🔥 My only complaint is, I wasn’t ready for this book to end....♥️🌼🔥
Another fantastic read from Daisy St. James! This book is H.O.T! St. James has a gift for building worlds that suck you in and refuse to let go. Once the world of the Phoenyx gets its claws in you, you're a goner. The chemistry between Phoenyx and Ash is a slow burn that leaves you begging for more! I can't wait to see where St. James will take this story next!
From Within: A Phoenyx Series Novella by Daisy St. James is a great for someone to read. This great story I enjoyed readingand I recommend this story to everyone who likes reading about dark erotica, dark and paranormal roamnces in their stories then this story is definately for you to read.

Freaking amazing addition to the Phoenyx universe. A steaming hot read with characters we already have love or hate relationships with, plus two new comers. St. James spins a world you can’t help but fully absorb into while reading. This is one author I get excited to see new reads from.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I found the story and characters very well written. This is the first book I’ve read by Daisy St. James and I will be reading more. Great author. I recommend reading.

I like that the new characters are woven so seamlessly into the current story and actually help the plot a long as well as develop their own story lines. Pheonyx is a great character even when she's being a tad selfish and destructive. Can't wait for more.
Daisy St. James has hit another home run with this third installment of the series. Once again, we have endearing characters and an engaging story line all written in the classic style of the author.

This was a fun story, and it’s a nice little bump between book 2 and the next one. I am really enjoying this series, and Phoenyx has quickly become one of my favorite assassins ever! I have read a couple of other books by Ms. St. James before, and while I enjoyed them very much, they don’t hold a candle to this series! Maybe it’s because I prefer these kinds of MFC, or maybe it’s because she has combined my favorite types of paranormal stories all in one series, or maybe it’s because Phoenyx is just the right kind of bad 🐴 for me… then again, it’s probably all of those reasons, and more! This series is a total win for me!
5 ⭐️s= Perfect story, exciting, engrossing, well developed complex characters, solid plot with few to no holes, descriptive environments and place settings, great mystery elements, realistic dialogue, believable reactions and behaviors, loved this story so much I’d buy it.
4 ⭐️s= Great story, highly entertaining and enjoyable, exciting storyline, well developed characters and settings, a few discrepancies but nothing that can’t be overlooked. Believable actions and reactions, realistic dialogue, a book I would consider buying.
3 ⭐️s= Good but not great story, noticeable discrepancies, grammatical and or spelling errors, undeveloped characters or unbelievable behaviors but still readable. Nothing majorly wrong with the story, just not interesting enough for me to continue. Would not buy the book.
2 ⭐️s= Not offended by the story, but not interested enough to finish. Unbelievable characters, poor writing, many mistakes, big holes or discrepancies, many spelling or grammatical errors, characters not believable, unlikeable or TSTL.
1 ⭐️= Offensive, extremely poor writing, horrible characters, victimization, gaslighting, blatant abuse, unnecessary violence, child endangerment, or any other highly objectionable behaviors by Main characters. Would never buy this book, and do not recommend it to anyone.

Phoenyx is very lost and struggling in this book. Essentially, Phoenyx has pushed everyone away. There are new characters from the shifter world. I still haven't figured Ash out yet. I've thought from the beginning that Monroe is a snake in the grass. I continue to think so. Add in the fact Monroe wants to bed anyone but especially anyone interested in Phoenyx. I don't think for a moment that Monroe ever intended to truly help Phoenyx but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm curious who is Phoenyx's fated mate? Jude was killed off and Ash flat out said its not him. Spider found his fated mate? Promising "as long as we both shall live." That's a long time, especially for a vampire! I don't forsee Lillith taking this mating well. Phoenyx has to find her way otherwise what is she doing? I think Phoenyx is going to need to accept both her succubi and witch side to move forward. It's clear Phoenyx has many enemies still, not less. Phoenyx has to live up to whatever prophecy there is about her. I wouldn't mind a little beheading of Vanessa, Lillith, and Monroe. I would love to see Phoenyx go warrior princess on all her enemies. All of these women are so clearly jealous of Phoenyx it's pathetic. On to the next book.

This story picks up after book 2. I recommend reading the other stories in this series to fully enjoy this installment.
Phoenyx is still reeling from the aftermath of the battle she has just fought. Not only the losses, but the revelations.
Grief is driving the majority of her decisions and she seeks out unlikely friends to help her through. Other players are making alignments with unlikely allies.
This book does not complete the story. I am looking forward to reading the next installment!!!.

I went back and re-read the first two book in this series and then dived into this one and whilst it was a long day o read as I couldn't stop once I started I absolutely loved this book you have characters you love or love to hate, you never know who to truly trust and you just want Jane The Phoenyx to catch a break and lord help anyone who tips her over the edged!.

I love how Daisy always seems to surprise me and keep me on the edge of my seat from page 1 to the very end. This is now firmly one of my favourite series, these books are enthralling mesmerizing, you won’t believe how much til you read them, fantastic yet again, I’m not sure how Daisy does it but please never stop.

Grief stricken and alone, Phoenyx has to battle on and protect herself from her deranged half sister and her plots. Reeling from betrayal and trying to survive the pain, Phoenyx finds herself at the attention of an Alpha after leaving everything she has ever known behind. Just what more will Phoenyx have to go through to get her happy ending?
Well Ms St James, once more I am not disappointed. You have given Spider a life of his own, I almost believed he had the faint stirrings of a heart! and that made him almost likeable. Strong descriptions, of scenes and complex relationships is wonderful. We see Lilith as the needy, nasty, ruthless witch she really is. Vanessa is a brilliant strong yet emotionally needy, driven Alpha like new character, and a huge drawcard to the nastiest, soulless, vengeance driven vampire ever.
I love this book so much, you manage to make reference to all the strong dominant characters from the novel, and introduce us to new ones so we see where they fit in the scheme of things. And allowing the main character Pheonyx/Jane, who is lost and broken, to wallow in her sorrow, and torment sups is brilliant. I cannot wait to read the next book.
