Of all the bars and whiskey joints in the country, why did he have to walk into mine? When Dax came in, along with all his small-town Midwestern bad boy, corn-fed, muscled up gorgeousness, this sweet talking former Marine became my newest obsession. Which is a dangerous thing for a girl like me. By day, I’m a sassy, sexy bartender. By night, I’m a lonely, vulnerable woman with nothing left to give, and nothing left to lose. I’ve been hurt too many times by men. First my father, a tough guy biker. Then by my stalker ex-boyfriend, a high rolling Wall Street executive. Can Dax melt the steel cage that I have surrounding my heart? Do I still have something left in me to give to this man who gets my heart pounding and sets my blood on fire? Hopefully, he can see past the attitude and the scars to see the woman hiding beneath them, and make me feel a bit less….Damaged.

Loved this so much. I knew that after reading the prequel that I needed to read this book and let me say, I wasn’t disappointed at all. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end and that ending, I need more. Sophie and Dax were so good together. The chemistry between then was so intense. This will end on a cliffhanger and I have no doubt that the next book will be just as good. I can’t wait to read it, I need to know what happens.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wow! I knew after reading the prequel of Mr. Hunter's 1st book that this would be fantastic. I did not disappoint! Just when I thought that Dax was over his former girlfriend, Jessica, she may very well be back into the picture. Not for reasons you may suspect though. Sophie also learns the truth about Damien, and it's something that turns the way that she feels for him. This book is packed full of action and some very hot steamy scenes too. You'll learn about what happened to Dax's grandfather, the history between the MCs and so much more. Grab a copy and hang on for a fantastic ride!

Bane Hunter did not disappoint with his first novel Damaged! Jax and Sophie meet by chance and are immediately attracted to each other only to find that their (and their family's) pasts are quite similar. A hot, dirty romance with some plot twists thrown in make this an excellent read! Ends on a cliffhanger, but cannot wait to see what Bane does next! Bravo!

Intense, gritty, and just plain great! Suffice to say, I finished this book in one sitting. The storyline was powerful and kept me captivated from start to finish. This isn’t a romanticized MC story - it is a gritty and twisted tale with Dax and Sophie as the centerpiece in ways they could never anticipate. Can’t wait for the next installment!

DAMAGED By Bane Hunter
This is Mr. Hunter’s debut novel, and he has made a hugely, strong start out of the gate! He brings us the story of Dax and Sophie. He is former marine and she is a bartender. This is a well written story with fully developed secondary characters with lots of drama, suspense, twists, turns and the hot sizzling chemistry of the sex scenes are all very well done. Two rival MC clubs, with lots of history but a completely different take than normal. There is a cliffhanger that makes me glad we don’t have to wait too long until the next book! I am looking forward to reading more of Bane Hunter’s books as he makes his mark on the literary world. This is a definite 5 star book.

This second book of the Dark Crows Series continues the story of Dax Pitchairn and Sophie Roland. We learn about Sophie’s life; her relationship with Damien; how she fits into the motorcycle club, the Dark Crows. Dax questions his bond to Sophie because his break with Jessica is still fresh. He also doesn’t want problems with Damien who is still in Sophie’s life. Jessica gets into trouble and asks Dax for help. He suddenly finds himself involved in the MC, something he does not want. All he wants is to ride his motorcycle and share his life with Sophie even though he cannot commit to her. New colourful characters are introduced who play major roles in this story. I like that the author pays attention to small detail especially in his description of women’s clothing, something that I was not expecting from a male. And he sure knows how to write a sex scene using language that is arousing and provocative. His description of Dagger was so real to the point of being haunting and magnetic. At the end, we are still left with so many questions that only the third book hopefully will answer. Well-written using graphic and vivid language. If you like suspense and drama with your romance, this book is for you. From chapter to chapter, Damaged is exciting and keeps the reader on tenterhooks.

After reading Danger Zone, which I absolutely loved, I quickly dove into the next book. As Dax and Sophie's relationship continues to grow, factors from their past relationships emerge to the present. So not going to lie, I might have a small girl crush on Sophie. That backbone of hers along with her patient and understanding nature , how could anyone not love this woman? And don't even get me started on her wild side! Hot! Dax is one lucky guy! As much as loved Dax in the first book, he kinda irritated me in this one. I felt like his emotions were a little bit of everywhere, which understandably when past and present collide in the way it did, I just never knew where he was going to land next emotionally. But man oh man, that ending! Whew! Can't wait because I would probably go and buy posters of Sophie if turned into some kind of bada$$ vigilante biker chick!
On a side note. Call it my inner love of stalking and obsession, but I really want Damien' s while story because we are that there is way more than we know.

After reading the Prequel Danger Zone I was left wanting to find out more about Dax and Sophia, and see how theire journey continued I was not dissapointed. There are so many twists and turns in this story, and the sex scenes are scorching hot to read. My Heart was going out to Dax who was left heartbroken by what his ex did to him, and he was struggling to commit again. Sophia has not had an easy life growing up I really feel that her and Dax are perfect for each other if they can get over there hurt of what has happend to them. Damien on the other hand deserves to get his comeuppance and I really hope he suffers a lot when he does. He is one evil man. The end left me shocked and I need to find out how this all ends. Bring on the next book . I'm giving this book 5***** and I highly recommend this book to be read you won't be dissapointed.

Two Broken Souls

After reading the Prequel Danger Zone, I was left wanting to find out more about Dax and Sophia, to see how their journey would end. I was not disappointed. There were so many twists and turns in this story about exes and MCs, the sex scenes are scorching hot to read. My heart was going out to Dax who was left Heartbroken by what his ex fiancé Jessica did to him, and left him struggling to commit to a relationship.
Sophia has not had an easy life growing up and clings to a relation ship that is one sided. What makes it worse, when she finds out one of Damien’s secrets, and finishes with him.
The first time Dax and Sophia meet there’s an instant connection between them but their excess always seem to get in their way of being happy.
I wasn’t expecting the book to end the way it did and it left me shocked. I need the next book to find out what happens. I’ve given this book 5 ***** and recommend it to be read.

It took me a couple of chapters to get into the flow of the story, but soon enough both characters, Dax & Sophie got under my skin and once the pace of story increased into full swing, I was gripped.

I really liked the angle taken; both main characters had MC connections but were not actually MC members. The threat was plausible and didn’t make me eye roll. It was quite refreshing as I do tend to find MC reads quite samey. The flashbacks of past memories proved to be a winner in my book, providing a well thought-out story with depth.

An impressive debut book and I will certainly look into reading more in this series. I recommend that readers also read Danger Zone before Damaged which is a short prequel, as it sets the scene nicely and introduces you to Dax and Sophie and how they met.

I came across the prequel (Danger Zone) to Damaged and read it. Though it seemed to have quite a few grammar problems and holes in the story line I thought I would Give Damaged a read, to see if there was improvement, and to continue the promising story. Damaged appears to have been greatly rushed. The main characters do not have much chemistry, and you begin to wonder why they are even together. Mr. Hunter leaves many large holes in the story. The last three chapters seemed to have been greatly rushed. Mr. Hunter would be greatly benefited by taking more time when writing his next installment, and not rushing it just to get it out there. With so many short comings I have no choice but to give Mr. Hunter a poor review. As always, I will read the next installment. Stay tuned…

Wow

I really didn't like this book. I thought I was reading about the main characters But I really was reading two book in one. Her and past guy and then this guy. I didn't like reading about her past sexual or interaction with her married guy. She was extremely stupid .. Did I say stupid why yes I did. It really does not take 4 years to sniff a rat. A married rat with kids that you never seen and can't talk about . Come on you knew you were the mistress all along . The book tried to make her look like she saw all the signs and that NOW she is smarter ...So smart married man is still around? Nope. Won't bother reading book 2 . Afraid it's gonna be in this line with past being wrote in details that I don't care for.

Wow... what a way to debut a novel.
Bane Hunter you certainty kept up the pace after the prequel novella.
Dax and Sophie's story left me wanting more.
The backstories of both our lead characters were so interestibg and had me totally invested in them both.
The Damien complication is brilliant and I'm looking forward to how it plays out.
The chemistry between Dax and Sophie is so hot 🔥🔥🔥 what can i say... bring on the cold showers.
The twists that link present with their past...
Things they thought were over have just become more complicated.
Bane you have definitely left me wanting more... especially after that cliffhanger
Bring on book 2
A definite must read ❤🔥💋

WOW, I can not believe this is his debut novel, where the heck did he come from????

The writing and flow is spot on. It's steamy, sexy suspenseful goodness with a dash of mystery that kept me glued to the pages waiting to see what would happen next.

In this book we pick up where we left off in the novella. Seeing Dax and Sophie interact, the chemistry is off the charts, the secondary characters are intriguing. Damien is definitely someone to keep a close eye on. I'm on pins and needles waiting to see how everything turns out.

Bane Hunter is definitely someone to keep on your radar!!!

Sophie is working her butt off and trying to get her life together after a bad bad relationship with Damien. This guy is a total tool! He's definitely the ultimate bad man. Damien has his hands in every business in this small town. He's even got the police in his pocket! Sophie is trying to just move on from Damien and be happy. She meets Dax. He's the mechanic at his cousin's shop. Yeah, his family has MC connections but he's straight and not following that path. Let me tell you...the steamy hot intense sexy scenes between Dax and Sophie is ohhhh sooo hot!! Damien is like a fly and keeps buzzing around Sophie! This book kept me on my toes and left me wanting soooo much more!

I don't know what happened between the prequel (which was amazing) and book one. This book had so many grammatical errors it took away from the story. The story lacks flow, bounces all over and parts don't match with what was written earlier in the book. I don't mind when stories go back in time but in this book sometimes it was noted and others it wasn't making it confusing to follow. Some of the things that happen in this book are just unbelievable for an MC book and other parts were just stopped. Dax and Sophie are good characters but they lack chemistry. This book does end rather fast and with a cliffhanger.

An amazing book that you can't put down. I loved the prequel/ Danger Zone, and Damaged gives us even more. I enjoyed this so much, that I cannot say enough about it. Bane Hunter has given us a series that will draw you in from the characters, the story, never knowing what surprise will come next. Dax, Sophia, Damien will draw you in and you will crave more. There is heat, twists and turns, and thrills. I know book 2 will be as blazing hot, mesmerizing and you will love this as much as I have. I cannot recommend this enough. A must, must, must, fiery, outstanding ride of your life story.

Damaged was a great first book for this debut author. It took me a few chapters to get into the story, but once it got going I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has a great storyline with down to earth, believable characters that I felt I could relate to on many different levels. Damaged takes place in the MC world and while not my go to genre I liked where the author took the story. I look forward to seeing the growth in the authors writing when book two comes out.

I've read alot of Mc books. Alot. This book, written by a first time author mind you. Ranks up there with my top Mc book reads.

There's fire, there's drama, there's blood and you know what. Bane did it justice.

From the beginning, you're drawn in and you don't want to put it down. The ending, I am sooooooooo ready for the next book. Thank you Bane! You're going to be a rising star, mark my words.

First, I would recommend reading the prequel, Danger Zone prior to Damaged by Bane Hunter.
I have to admit it took me time to get into the book. Once I did, I enjoyed it. Bane Hunter gives a different take of the MC world, which I found refreshing. Dax and Sophie have connections to MCs, but were not members. Be forewarned, the book ends in a cliffhanger. Overall, a very good book. I am looking forward to the next book.

Intense Danger

This story in the series is deep. It involves feelings, trauma, and suppressed emotions from childhood to current abuse of all types. Some of the events may cause triggers to the reader so please exercise caution when reading this. There is some mild BDSM and violence that is loosely mentioned. It is a good story about Sophie and Dax. The ending will leave you surprised.

4.5 stars of addictive hotness

Damaged by Bane Hunter is for sure a page turner that lead me to places unexpected. Not at all what I expected, it reeled me in pretty fast and I enjoyed every moment.
When an ex-Marine turns to a MC for help, you can’t help but love this!
Quick to the point and well written, I’m eager to see what the next instalment will reveal. I mean come on... I need more Dax!

This is Dark Crows book two and comes recommended.
