One look, one touch, and there is no denying the heat...
Twenty-one and single, Alexis Lopez hopes her lackluster response to men is a problem she's eager to solve by volunteering for the Interstellar Brides Program. One look at the large, dominant alien who claims she belongs to him sets her body on fire. When he tells her, in explicit detail, how he'll claim her in every way, she is eager to give her mate everything, body and soul.
Von of Everis is a ruthless and high ranking Hunter who's spent years fighting in the Hive wars. But his bed, and his life, are empty until Alexis arrives. One look at his innocent little bride and he knows she belongs to him.
Simple, right? Nope. The match is challenged by one of the most feared warriors on the planet and stolen kisses and mind-numbing pleasure won't save Von from a deadly duel. But Von is a Hunter, a warrior, a protector, and someone is trying to take what belongs to him. Only him. He will do whatever it takes to protect, save and claim his virgin mate.
This is my first Grace Goodwin book. I felt like I was missing something at the beginning and when I took a look at a few other reviews they pointed out that this is a spin-off series from her Interstellar Brides: The Colony.
In this series the mates are virgins. For me I have a hard time with virgin heroines and so I had trouble connecting to Alexis. She’s 21, but at times I felt like she was 16-19; a teenager just from the mannerisms and things she says.
The opening starts us off in the Interstellar Brides Program testing center. The way this book starts had me lost, the author treats us to a sexual dream of a man Alexis has not meet yet. I was also a little lost on how the Bride's program works until I got a little further along and a few things got explained. The Brides Program maybe is explained more in the first series. I just don't know.
Something that bothered me was the chairs the women sit in for the testing. I felt it was odd that the facility straps the women down into chairs. Why do they strap them in? It felt to much like experimentation or a torture chair (yep, that’s what popped into my head) until it we got a little and I mean a little explanation on it.
Another thing that bothered me was once Alexis gets a match she didn’t ask many, if any questions. I would want to know about the alien planet, world, and get more information before I accept. Information is power.
I loved Von our sexy alien. Von of Everis is a Hunter which is a very prominent position on his plant. Hunters are protectors of the weak and keepers of peace and justice on their planet. Von is very alpha and dominate especially in the bedroom though he does make sure his mate is well satisfied. I enjoyed all the Hunter men that we meet even the one vying for Von's mate. This rival brings a little conflict to the story.
As for the relationship I didn't feel the lust move to love. They have only know each other for three days and on each day they do a different sexual act. Yes, the mate marks are their to instantly connect the couple, but I didn't feel the change in the relationship. Maybe this has to do with me not connecting to Alexis.
I did enjoy the way they claim their mates. It’s new and interesting. The mating ritual consists of three things. What surprised me was anal came before pussy, which is very different from what you would think, especially with her and all the women being virgins. The sex scenes were well written, descriptive, and very steamy.
The secondary characters we meet where intriguing and I’m curious to find out, especially with the little teasers we got, what happens with their matches.
This is an enjoyable quick read introducing new cultures, planets, and brides.

I liked that Alexis held all the power when it came to deciding how far she would take things with Von. If she wasn't really feeling him or found someone more enticing, she could simply walk away. So cool. Lucky for Von, he was everything she could possibly want in a man and the shared dreams and experiences only served to cement their bond. There was just enough juicy bits (aside from the sex) to keep this story interesting.
This was a really good read this was the first book in the "Interstellar Brides"series. Alexis "Lexi" Lopez is a virgin and has never felt an attraction to the boys on earth she thinks that she is broken. Lexi decides to enroll in the Interstellar Brides program since she has nothing left on earth her family is gone and so is her dog. Von of Everis is a ruthless and high ranking Hunter who’s spent years fighting in the Hive wars but he is lonely and his bed is cold. This was a good sci-fi read that I felt was rushed at the end. Lexi and Von are marked mates the each has a mark on their chest. They can feel each other in their dreams. Von is challenged by a former childhood friend who wants to take Lexi from him. I also liked the secondary character's and I can't wait to read Kate's book. The sex scenes in this book were hot. The Everis believe in claiming three virgin parts of the body and it was hot. This was my first time reading this author although I have a few of her books on my to be read list. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
You do not tell a virgin to go for the anal first and make it a statement of love. NO! This is such a strange set up. the guys get to take the virginities of their brides: first a blowjob, then anal and then the hymen. I'm no prude and maybe the author could have convinced me with her writing, but the whole storyline is just focusing on him ogling her body and making assumptions about her character based on her boob size ... only fair thing: she does exactly the same to him. And boom they are in love and she trusts him implicitly. This kind of writing is not doing it for me.
The entire concept of this series is bullshit since virginity is just something that was made up to punish women for having sex. Also the hymen as a barrier is even more bullshit. Repeat after me authoress: Balloon. Arch. And watch this video. https://youtu.be/PM79UBTwfsg I liked the hero and the romance the concept of this series. Not so much. Even calling it The Virgins is kind of insulting.

DNF almost from the start. If you want straight up smut/ p*rn there you have it. Even the smut is not good when you don’t have a connection to the characters. There is no plot… maybe a little bit but not enough for the smut to feel genuine and intimate. I expect all the book from this series to be the same… rushed and the plot so threadbare. The two stars are for the idea🫤
DNF ~50% (second Grace Goodwin I've DNFed... seems to be more smut>romance?)
-a lotttt of emphasis on purity culture and virginity, and he's not even a virgin! -very very sexual-- sometimes is fine, but I have to give a shit about the characters? I feel like I know basically nothing about these two main characters, why should I be rooting for them? -why all the posturing and persistence from Cosmo? I assume just to later be a third act conflict -the aliens are not different enough to be interesting. they've bred with humans the past and are not described as being different to humans other than maybe stronger/faster? (never got to a description of his bits, maybe there are differences)
This is the romance between Alexis and Von. Alexis learns that she is a marked mate of Everis when she applies for the interstellar bride program. That means that she has a fated mate who shares the same birthmark as her and dream shares. She finds out that the alien man is Von & the two of them find each other on Everis.
This was just okay. I was sort of bored while reading this & did not really care for the conflict of this story with the other alien man. I honestly just like other books in this series more.
Lexi believes she is asexual; despite wanting a husband, and to recreate what she sees on the screen, she has never been truly attracted to any one, male or female. Following the deaths of her parents, she sells the family home and signs up to the Interstellar Brides programme. Here, to the surprise of the organisers, she is immediately matched as a 'marked mate'. What this means, and how it affects her, a 21 year old virgin, is the substance of this somewhat erotic romance. The first in a successful series, there are errors, but it is still very enjoyable.
This book needs a better editor. Why at one point did she talk about majoring in graphic design/art when she had already said she went to culinary school and her "only passion" was cooking? There where a few other inconsistencies, but I'm feeling lazy today
I will add that the sex scenes were well written. I do think it was kinda lame that they're just "big human" aliens instead of something fun with like a dick tongue or tentacles, but whatever

Another boring book... I don't know why I can't find any good alien romance books?! Every time is the same... sex, sex, sex and no actual plot... I'm very disappointed.
As in the other books in the Interstellar Bride series this one starts out with a very hot dream sequence that takes place in the Interstellar Brides Processing Center (one day Inhooemto see Warden Egara get new mates of her own). After years of not being affected sexually by any men and being known as "frigid" Alexis Lopez finds herself craving this alien man who was calling her his mate.
Alexis has decided to volunteer for the Interstellar bride program finding herself 21 and alone with a boring job, she's lost both her parents and remains a virgin, so basically she had everything to gain if there was a match. To her surprise she is 99% matched to an Elite Hunter on the planet of Evaris. Introduced in a previous book these hunky alpha warriors are similar to humans but so much "more". It turns out Ages ago Evarians had settled on earth and their ancestors DNA existed in many human women to differing degrees. Alexis not only was a percent Evarian she had the "mark" as well that would be matched to those of her mate. She continues dream sharing with this dominant, possessive male who is determined to make her his in every way possible (and on Evaris they follow a very particular claiming sequence). In addition it turns out on this planet Virginity is highly valued, how lucky for Alexis.
Von is an Elite Hunter and has fought many years in the Hive Wars. When he finds himself dreamsharing with the human woman who matches his mark he knows she is not only his mate but will fill the emptiness in his life he'd begun to feel of late. Their dreams are wildly erotic, he is a dominant naughty talking magnet that Alexis can't get enough of.
Alexis and several other human Brides who have Evarian ancestry are brought to Evaris. When Von and Alexis finally meet there are instant fireworks, After nights of intense dream sharing Von instantly finds Alexis like she is a glowing beam at the welcoming ball. Not all Evarians are lucky enough to have the marks like they share which makes their bond all the more intense.
This is an excellent quick reading start to a new series, new cultures and planets. It's science fiction and ten stars on the hotness scale but the author still draws you into a story that is also very romantic and heart warming. The author grabs readers into all the books of the series by the beginning Dream sequences but they each have different and unique characters, cultures and worlds to explore and be wowed by. Hopefully the it won't be too long until we get the books about Alexis' friends, the other two earth girls that were matched to Evaris as well.
Another excellent start to a brand-new (spin off) series that is easily read as a standalone novel! “His Virgin Mate” is set in an awesome new world, featuring an original story-line based upon fated mates with a creative new twist. The main characters are well developed with engaging secondary characters and one dastardly villain. The heroine’s introduction to her mate is through a dream-state and all I can say is… holy hunt me down hotness where do I sign up for the Interstellar Brides Program! The hero is hotter in person (if that’s even possible) and I’m counting the days for the “next in series” release. Trust me, stalking the author does no good… we must wait patiently for erotic, literary perfection…
As with all of Grace Goodwin’s books “His Virgin Mate” is professionally written (meaning no distracting grammatical errors) extremely fast paced (like you can’t put them down) and so hot that Kindle’s throughout the globe are endanger from spontaneous combustion! If you can take the heat do not hesitate to one-click “His Virgin Mate” you’ll not be disappointed!

Sooo this is my first Grace Goodwin book and I was pretty dissapointed honestly. I think I was expecting...more. I love aliens stories and I read most of S.E Smith's book series and M.K Eidem so I guess my bar was pretty high. This story for me was mostly Porn...like lots and lots of porn and little little barely there plot....mostly an afterthought. Sooo yeah, for anyone who likes lots of sex in every way....For me I like the sex but I love a good plot and action. I don't know, this book has good reviews mostly but Imjust don't see it. The beginning was confusing and I felt l was missing bits and pieces. Some reviews say this is a spin off of her Colony series so guess l'll be seeing about that later but still if it is it should be advertise as such! So I already bought book one of her colony series and her "My mates secret baby" hopefully one of them will surprise me in a good way....I hope, otherwise it'll be a waste of hard earned money....sigh Wish me luck
So, there was some kind of magical, mystical connection between marked mates, but almost no one on this planet could find their one perfect love. Sounded like online dating websites. Lots of promises, not a lot of results.
I wanted to do this. Perhaps I’d been injected with not just an NPU for language processing, but a slut button and Von had not only found it, he’d pushed it. Hard.
More hot alien smut from Grace Goodwin. Not the apex of literature or even plot lines, but at some point I became addicted to these (having read many). This one has a few continuity errors, which is surprising; I haven’t noticed that from the authors previously.
“My mother always said, start a relationship how you want it to go otherwise you’ll be picking dirty socks off the floor and falling into the toilet because the seat’s left up for the rest of your life.”
I have purchased every one of Grace Goodwin's "Interstellar Brides®" books, across all the various series. I hesitated to buy the ones from the "virgin" series because I normally don't normally enjoy the virgin types of books. Usually, the virgins are whimpering, simpering, blushing young women who know nothing. I find that really hard to believe in this day of the Internet. Any more, you need a high-school student to explain things to you, not the other way around. Then again, I don't really read these books for historical accuracy, you know?
This virgin has never been attracted to any boy on Earth. She thinks she is broken and decides to enroll in the Interstellar Brides® program since she has nothing left to lose; her family and dog are gone. (Not the dog!!!) The entire process of being claimed by a mate is different in this series of books. Instead of a lone bride arriving on the planet, a group are transported and they are all thrown into a big room with 80 huge alien men that would melt the pants off my puritan grandmother. Poor them, right? Fortunately, if you are a matched mate to one of the Hunters on this planet, you will have been "dream sharing" with your mate ahead of time and you'll be able to recognize each other. It's not always this easy and there are fights among these hunks of burning love for Earth's women at times, which is a testosterone feast of agility, speed and skill.
You can see where Ms. Goodwin is going with this series from the time when the woman is in the Bride's processing center and she meets 2 other women that are being transferred that same day. Yes, you're correct if you guessed that the other 2 women will have their own books! For the record, I am eager to read them and have already begun book 2.
Some other reviewers complained about the "3 hole" method that males must use to claim their mate here. Perhaps these people haven't read the other "Interstellar Brides®" series? There are 3 virginities and everyone knows that you have to claim all 3 for an alien to claim you as their mate. Right? After all, this is space. Go for it.
I totally enjoyed this version of the "Brides." Aside from wanting to slap the tri-virgin posse for their stupidity and general naïveté, I was happy with the characters. Whether or not you agree with the story itself, you have to give it to Grace Goodwin for crafting several different series of Interstellar Brides® books. She's managed to create unique planets each with their own cultures and races. Her descriptions are detailed with thrilling action, hot sex, and character history. The charisma of the aliens are sinful. Where do I sign up?
Written in first person, His Virgin Mate is book 1 in this spinoff series (from the Interstellar Bride Series) and follows the human bride Alexis (aka Lexi) Lopez and her alien mate Senior Hunter Von from the planet Everis. Everis processes their brides differently from the rest. Instead of being processed and teleported immediately to their matched mate, they are transported in groups to the Touchstone. In Lexi’s case, she was processed and transported with two other virgin females (unlike book 0, Lexi is true to the title of the series by being a legit virgin) with Everian birthmarks and descent named Katie and Dani. The three made a pact to be best friends and tell each other everything. The Touchstone is the fortress where unclaimed mates were transported and housed, waiting to be matched and claimed by their mates. Von worked as a Hunter for Everis after his service fighting the Hive war, and journeyed to the Touchstone to claim his mate, whom he had been dreaming about ever since she arrived on Everis. Von had a mortal enemy named Cosmo, who tried to claim Lexi for himself. Cosmo challenged Von, Von won, then he claimed Lexi and the two lived happily ever after making a family together.
Everians are humanoid, similar in size to humans. What sets them apart from everyone else is their enhanced speed and strength, unfailing instinct for the hunt, strong minds and iron wills, and they are born with a birthmark - their matched mate bearing the exact same mark, their one true mate, and the mark comes alive when they are near, burning like fire when their marked mate is near by. Most Everians can’t conceive unless it is with their one true matched mate. Only one in a hundred are lucky enough to find their marked mate. In order to fully claim a mate, they have to have three types of sex with their mate: oral, anal and vaginal (in that order).
If you are reading this series in chronological order, I would recommend reading this AFTER book 1 of the Colony “Surrender to the Cyborgs,” and BEFORE book 10 of the Interstellar Brides “Mating Fever.”
As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance. This book is no exception. Heavily recommended.

Just a peak to how the book flowed or was interesting. Just a few pages to see where to place it on my to be read pile or even to put on the when I have time list. Needless to say neither list was added to. Once I began reading I could not stop. Soon I was invested in Von's and Lexi's courtship and whether it would be a completed claiming or if Cosmos would achieve his goal for revenge and kill Von or steal Lexi.
This fast paced story is well written and grabs both your heart and attention from the start. It will not let you go until the last page is read and you were wishing you had a mark of your own and a way to Everis to find your mate.
My rating of "His Virgin Mate - Interstellar Brides - The Virgins Book 1" is 4.75 out of 5 stars.
Alexis Lopez was in the testing room of the Interstellar Brides Processing Center. In her dream, she was in the dark with a man she desired very much. She knew him somehow. She wanted him and knew that he loved her. He called her “mate”. Until this dream, she had felt nothing for other men in her life, from grade school on up! No one ever stirred her, until now. But the test was so short, and Warden Egara was quietly pacing, so she figured a match had not been found for her. However, her match had been found on Everis!
The shared dreaming continued on Everis until the mates met in person. As they paired up, Lexi continued to wait for Von. When he walked into the room, she knew him immediately. They were one of the rare “marked” mates who had identical marks on their body that would heat up. All should have been perfect! But Major Cosmo stepped forward and told Von that he had put in first claim on Lexi. He didn’t really want her, but hated Von and wanted to fight for her. However, because of the marks and Lexi’s refusal of his claim, she and Von had 30 days to get to know each other and complete the mating ritual. Would they be successful? Or would Cosmo, a dishonorable sort of man, take out his competition once and for all?
The author’s writing is, as always, wonderful and she grabs you from the first page with the dream sequence which is part of the Interstellar Brides Program testing to find a compatible match. She introduces a planet that values virginity and loving mates who give full attention to their new brides. The story line is excellent and well-paced. This is a good book and I highly recommend. I voluntarily read a review copy of this book and my comments reflect my honest opinion.
Disclaimer: this is now the third book from this author that I try to read. The first was really interesting and I liked it a lot (Her Viken Mates). It went downhill from that.
DNF @ 43% The explanation of the mating process and birth marks dragged. They said everything over and over again like the reader was a dumba*s. It felt annoying and I was getting more and more frustrated. The h was just so stupid I couldn’t stand her. Everything had to be said and explained over and over to her. And the author treated the readers like we were just as stupid as the h. At 6% the h says she went to school to be a chef because food was the only thing she was passionate about. But at 41% she claims she studied graphic design and wanted to live from art. This seems just a minor mistake, but to me its not. If you start a book building a character’s personality in one way and by the middle you just change it, what’s the point of me reading this book? All the sex thoughts and scenes were very male oriented, always talking about taking her mouth/ass/pussy, but barely saying anything about pleasuring her. I've actually given up when they were having their first real sex scene (the previous were in dreams or at processing booths) and the H focus on getting his c*ck sucked by a virgin girl, no thoughts of maybe going down on her or masturbating the girl prior to his own pleasure. As far as I'm concerned, the author is a female writing for a majority of female readers, so maybe we could, IDK, think to write some female oriented pleasure scenes?

lexis (Lexi) has never had feelings for a human male so when she gets the chance to sign up for the Interstellar Brides Program she does it. Maybe an alien will be more to her liking. After being tested Lexi is matched with the alien world, Everis. She and the other potential brides are transported to the alien world to meet their potential mates. 80 Hunters are in a room and the 12 brides are in the center. The women have the choice to pick a male or wait for a male to come to her and ask if she would like to get to know him for the next 30 days. If after the 30 days are up and she doesn't want to stay with him, she can go back to the meeting room and pick another male to see if they click.
Lexi and Von however have been dreaming of each other since she arrived on his planet because she is his true mate. So she waits to find him in the crowd. He was late but as soon as he walks into the building Lexi knows who she wants to pick for the next 30 days. But there was another male who wanted Lexi and he challenged Von for her. She still gets to pick who she wants but the two males fight for her eventually.
Over the next couple of weeks Lexi and Von know that they are true mates and get closer. I loved Von, good grief he's all alpha male but also so sweet to her. I'm sure anyone reading this alien romance is wondering when the aliens will get here and find their human mates.
Lexi has nothing for her on Earth anymore. Her parents have both died and so has her beloved dog. She has no boyfriend because men just don't attract her. She has been called frigid and she thinks she is broken. She decides to try Interstellar brides to see if there is an alien mate for her. While there, she learns some very interesting info. She is descended from alien visitors from Everis and Everians have destined mates. Each Evarian is born with a special birth mark on their palm which exactly matches their mates. Lexi has a birth mark but it is not on her palm. The testing results that she has a 99% match on Everis. Before she goes to Everis, she meets 2 other brides matched to Everis. They too are virgins and have had the same problems she has had on Earth. Maybe she isn't broken but just hasn't found her destined mate. Von is an elite hunter. He never thought he would have a destined mate because he has an unusual mate mark. Then he is told a new group of brides is headed to Everis and his mate mark starts to wake up. He is so excited and starts to share dreams with his destined mate. Will he be able to win Lexi or will the other warrior watching Lexi gain her interest?
