Authoritative and fully up-to-date, the Rough Guide to Scandinavia is the essential handbook to Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Covering both popular sights and less well-known destinations the 24-page, full-colour section and two additional 4-page, full-colour inserts introduce all of the regions highlights, from whale-watching in Norway and Denmark’s vibrant nightlife to a husky safari through Lapland and Sweden’s chilly Icehotel. The new ‘author picks’ section of all the regions finest hotels and restaurants, will help you decide on the best places to stay, eat and drink, to suit every budget. There is plenty of practical advice on exploring the Scandinavian countryside, from Finland’s frosty wilderness to Norway’s wild mountain range. The guide takes a detailed look at Scandinavian history and contemporary life and comes complete with maps and plans for the entire region.
Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
This was a pretty good book with practical information on things to see in Scandanavia. We just went to the big cities so I am not sure how complete it was in the smaller towns. I find that most guide books are pretty similar in what they suggest in the larger towns.
Scandinavia still doesn't make much sense to me, and the introduction to Norway is downright depressing, but I'm not going to leave a rating just yet, since you never know how useful a travel guide is until you try to use it while traveling.
