It was fun to read a travel guide book for one's home region! I borrowed this book to prepare for a weekend trip to Maine, but also ended up using it for ideas for visiting guests to the Boston area. Nicely put together, as most Eyewitness travel books are. Lovely photographs and good maps.
I love travel books to read the reviews, what to do in the area, etc. But I still prefer to research my travel destinations online so the information is current and up-to-date.
