Willow and Aiden

Willow’s life has not turned like she always thought and planned it would. She finds herself, at forty-three, single and living in a city hours away from the only home she has ever known. She’s determined to create a new way forward and she’ll succeed, not only for herself but for her children.

Aiden Markley’s life has been nothing but work. He’s been busting his ass and now he’s ready to take a break from it all. He’s preparing to travel, write, do whatever the hell he wants. He’s earned this time. He wasn’t looking for love but it sure did find him when he least expected it.

This is a story of two mature adults who are in the beginning phases of changing their lives. They are strong, confident and ready for anything life throws their way.

If you do not like sex with your love story then this isn’t for you.

My name is Rachel Lyons, and I'm a romance addict. I read at least three romance novels a week. As I have matured over the years, I've noticed, few romance books feature women and men in their late thirties and forties. I do not understand why; it's truly an exciting, fantastic time in life. Your forties are sexy! You are smarter and more confident.

At forty, a woman knows herself. We've seen some shit in life and hopefully learned a few, hard-earned lessons along the way. We are sexually comfortable; we know what we want and like in the bedroom, no matter if we've had one partner or a dozen.

And ladies, men in their forties are hot! Seriously, it's their hottest decade:)

I want to introduce men and women to you in their forties in the twenty-first century. Some are just now looking for love and thinking about starting families and settling down. Some have raised their children and are now ready to focus on a career, and others are making significant changes, shaking things up for this new phase of life. But all of us are still searching and reaching for a happy ever after.

The After Forty Series:

Hattie and Hank (10/19)
Nola and Duke (10/19)
Nellie and Damon (11/19)
Annie and Jack (11/19)

Nope, made it to 14 % but it is just full of grammatical errors!

At 1% we had the woman being critical about her "breast" then admiring her "breast" cupping her "breast" I could not help but imagine one boob slapped bang in the middle of her chest- also I had to read the word breast what felt like far too much in a short paragraph.

At 2% it is "I'm meeting Lexi, my best friends all through school"

Punctuation where it should not be

Repeated information "I sniff, Christ the room is starting to smell like ass. I slam the door, poor Jill, I need to give her a raise. I scowl, I don't want to think about what his bathroom looks like the fucking pig, I need to provide Jill, my house-keeper, a raise, hell I might giver her a bonus...."

Plus at least 4 to 5 more examples I noted before I even got to 14% -

And I was just not engaged enough in the story to overlook it.

I felt like I was reading a list of sentences that had been thrown together to make a paragraph.

It's so exciting to see an author improve. Five stars for a wonderful book. This book was sexy and refreshing to see two mature people.

I still love this story. It gives hope to the after forty crowds. Since this has been edited, I enjoyed it so much more. Everyone should check out this book and realize life truly begins at forty. It has steamy, steamy scenes and a little drama but not too much. I love, love, love Aiden. It's still a five star read for me!

I am very glad to read about a more mature couple finding love. This is Willow and Aiden’s story and is a refreshing view of life after 40 and starting over. I enjoyed this sweet romance with their sizzling chemistry. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed this book, mainly because I like stories about mature adults (being one of those myself).
I would like to buy all of Ms. Lyons’ books but am unable to find them anywhere. I currently own two (My Sweet Ruby and Willow & Aiden).
