Travis Delta #2

The Jericho Option

Rate this book
When terrorists begin striking targets on U.S. soil, black-ops company Snakeriver is tasked with eradicating the threat. The organization's top gun, former Navy SEAL Travis Delta, ordinarily takes care of business in places like Moscow, Tehran, and Riyadh, but he's fully prepared to work within America's borders if given the green light. Will Director of National Intelligence Merritt Sauer have the courage to unleash a man who believes that a bullet to the head is generally the optimal method of dealing with the country's enemies?
THE JERICHO OPTION is R.H. Johnson's second Travis Delta book, coming on the heels of 5-star-rated HOLLOW-POINT DIPLOMACY. The books can be read in any order.

I thoroughly enjoyed this twisted and explosive book. With America on the brink of total destruction, Travis Delta uncovered the scheme behind it with little time to spare. Once again, Russ Johnson skillfully crafted Delta’s adventure with very plausible and scary plots.

I won a kindle version of this book in a GoodReads Giveaway.

The Jericho Option is the second installment in the Travis Delta series. This time, instead of jumping around the globe to stop impending nuclear disaster, Delta is working domestically to curb an increasing tide of terrorist attacks that threaten to shake loose the structures of our government.

I thought this was a good followup to Hollow Point Diplomacy, because Johnson continued to flesh Delta out, as well as his relationship to his employers and the U.S. government. At times, it moved so fast I felt like I had whiplash, jumping from one terrifying terrorist attack to another while Delta and the authorities struggled to catch up with what was going on.

Johnson telegraphs the ending throughout the book, so while it's not surprising, it's still satisfying. There is little mystery to the reader as to who is behind the attacks and why while Delta and company are still in the dark, so you get the experience of enjoying him catch up to the information you already know.

Bottom line, it's a quick read, a solid action-thriller, and left me willing to read another Travis Delta book.

Let's hope not!

This scenario is not beyond the realm of possibly given the current political climate in this country. Hopefully this won't give certain groups any ideas.

great read

This was a book recommended to me and I am thrilled it was. Literally stayed up to read straight through. An engaging story that pulled you right in and Travis Delta is a new fav hero. Politically thrilling plot action packed with twists and turns that leave you breathless. And I know we have real life Deltas out there saving America everyday. READ IT! You ll be hooked.

Rather Political

Much text is committed to describing the white supremes in the White House and the ultra rich robber barons who together were the source of all that was wrong with the USA. The hero of the book and his skill set rivals any of the larger than life fictional heroes of popular culture. So, without the woke political references, the book would have rated 5 stars.

Action on top of action.

The bad guys should never let Delta get an eye on them, it’s the end. With a little description of the background this book would have been 400 pages long. The book has the making’s of a good book series. The addition of Liv at the end was a good fit. Everybody knows a Chase or Bartlett in the life regardless of their stage in life. Read and enjoy.

A great story well told.

Travis Delta has his hands full trying to figure out who is causing all the destruction and why. But he figures it just in time.

For a guy who lives in Heaven, Travis Delta certainly dispatches quite a few souls to a far different place. This latest of his exploits seems like it is taken from today’s headlines. A really fun book that leaves the reader wishing Travis was really out there protecting us. Highly recommended.
