A very well written story set during the second world war.
The main character is Annie, we follow her journey throughout the war, as she joins the WAAF and is trained to be a wireless operator. The story includes Annie's very interesting family and her friends, who become as family. There is a love story, but it takes second place to the war, the hardships and the importance of family.

Loved and enjoyed this book, it was an epic read. Full of family characters, members of the RAF and other armed forces and spans the whole time of the war. Lots going on in every chapter so you never feel bored with the book. Sad to finish it.
