Tiffany Black and her friend Jack refuse to believe recent reports regarding Ryan and Stone – they both believe that the duo is out there somewhere. Even though Jack comes into the crosshairs of some very unpleasant people, he refuses to stop trying to learn more about what happened…
Meanwhile, Tiffany, Ian, Nanna and Bridget visit a ghost-town with Sally and her friends. Though the town is only about an hours’ drive away from Vegas, it feels like a completely different place (and era!)
Unfortunately, when the ghost-town’s owner is murdered, the investigation comes back to the present-day Las Vegas, with Tiffany and her friends trying to find the killer before the killer gets to them first…
This one was actually really good compared to the previous books that didn't seem to have been edited before publication. I wish they would stop referring to Angel as Ian's niece...THEY ARE COUSINS. @70% Tiffany is having a conversation with Pepper/Patty and in the middle of it she's referred to as Rachel (another character). This is been a big problem in the last several books and not just this one and it is so frustrating.
Another great case for Tiffany. This time we go to a ghost town for the weekend as a kind of preview before it's open to everyone. Sally's friend, Pepper's grandmother owns it. Friends of Pepper's come out for a trial run and everything is going well until Pepper's grandmother, Horrible Nanna, is murdered. Tiffany and Ian are tasked with solving the murder and Tiffany is almost killed. She has more lives than a herd of cats! Really good mystery, great characters and a really interesting setting. Good job Ms. Winters! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I actually loved this one! A lot of the previous books felt like bad Stephanie Plum rip-offs, but this one didn't. This one felt original and like the author finally found her own style without having to resort to cheap imitations. The characters felt like she finally owned them and knew who they were. Congratulations! I can't wait to read the next book.
I really enjoy the Tiffany Black Mystery series. Tiffany is smart, funny, pretty, and tenacious. Her friend and "partner", Ian is a hoot. My two favorite characters, besides Tiffany, are Stone and Jack. The major characters are Tiffany, Ian, Stone, Nanna, Jack, and Ryan. I sure hope Stone and Ryan (Tiffany's boyfriend) are not dead and that they are found soon.
Tiffany, Ian, and Nanna solve murders in sometimes harrowing and dangerous capers.
The books are easy and fun to read.
I have read a lot of A.R. Winters' books and I always enjoy them.
If you enjoy cozy mysteries, I highly recommend Ms Winters' books.
Good story getting out of the city and going into the desert. The other Nana really no one can take the place of be better than Tiffany's Nana! Ian finally maturing yeah! Enjoyed the real old cowboys. Thank goodness Pepper went back to Patty. The suspense about Stone & Ryan aaaaaggghhhh. Can't wait until the next book. Oh and thanks for the 2 freebies. Already read A Pinch of Murder 👍 👍
Reading Tiffany Black mysteries just makes me happy! I know it will be a great read with lots of wonderful characters. This outing was no different. The image of Ian in cowboy gear and that belt buckle made me giggle. I know we can all use more giggles, so this would be a great investment in lightening you mood. Pick up a copy or download it today!!
Great book. The storyline for this adventure involves Tiffany and Ian visiting a ghost town and an unexpected murder. The twists and turns are well crafted, and there are some endearing moments with Angel, and the two old cowboys. Tiffany and Ian both come into danger before finally trapping the killer.
Tiffany gets a murder case in a ghost town in the desert.
A relaxing weekend with Nanna, her dog Bridget, her assistant Ian, Ian's girlfriend Sally, and a bunch of Sally's friends turns into a tragic weekend. Someone gets murdered, so Tiffany and Ian are hired to solve the case. Tiffany always figures it out.
While Jack is in Macau he is still trying to find information about Ryan and Stone with little or no luck. Tiffany, Ian. Nanna and Bridget are invited by Sally to a ghost town that is being opened up for visitors. The first night there is a murder and Tiffany and Ian are hired to solve the murder. Many suspects with a lot of finger pointing. Great reading
Another winner!!! I really enjoyed this one. A murder in a ghost town!! How cool is that? Of course Tiffany, Ian, Sally and Nanna are swept up again in another mystery and the suspects are all friends of Ian’s girlfriend. This was a great whodunnit that kept you guessing until the end
Loved the story. I always enjoy this authors work. The character's area all interesting and the mystery keeps me guessing until the end. Can't wait for threes next one and hoping Stone comes back!
Tiffany heads to the desert and forgets to bring cupcakes along. Perhaps that's why everything goes wrong. Not the greatest book in the series, but a fun time, non the less. I actually couldn't guess the killer. See if you can!
These books are short and sweet, no pun intended. You can’t help but like the main characters and you both come up with the answer around the same time.
