Windy City: Box Set by Measha Stone. This is the complete set of 5 book in The Windy City Series with about 1181 total pages. I am such a fan of box set because you don't have to hunt down the book in a series, so you can seamlessly keep reading. This series is about friends and their path to finding loving. In addition, it has some steamy scene with some hot alpha male heroes. So I would recommend this box set for sure. Each book is a standalone book so if you want to take your time reading them you should be good at your own time. Here are the list of books that you will be getting in this set with the advertised book description:

Hidden Heart: 3 stars.
Jessica's been hurt badly, so much so that she refuses to even think of having love in her life again. So when she meets Royce, a Dom, she's really, really wary of the man who seems to want past her walls and into her heart. Can she allow her innate submissive nature to come out? Will Royce be able to get past her defenses?
I'm of 2 minds about this story. On one hand, the story itself is entertaining, if a little flat. Not a whole heck of a lot happens in it, and neither character is particularly well-drawn or fleshed out, especially Royce. Royce was probably my least favorite part of this story. For a Dom, he was seriously lacking in, well, Dom-ish qualities. I kinda didn't even really feel he was a true Dom. I did like that he seemed to a good guy, but he was almost cardboard because he just wasn't developed enough for me to feel any kind of connection with him.
All in all, while kind of entertaining, this story fell a bit short for my tastes, probably because of its short length.
Secured Heart: 2 stars.
Kelly is looking for something, for someone. When she finds Kendrick, she's not sure if he's what she's looking for, but she's damn sure she's going to try to find out. Can she handle his lifestyle? Be the submissive he thinks she is?
I really liked Kendrick. Kelly, on the other hand, I absolutely could not stand and brings my rating down a whole star. She makes TSTL decisions, she's impulsive and flighty, and self-absorbed to the most ridiculous degree, and Kendrick really deserved better. The story itself is good, though, sexy and entertaining.
Indebted Heart: 3.5 stars.
When Alyssa and Alex are set up on a date, neither expected for him to end up being one of her bosses. They also never expected the feelings and the attraction that sprang up between them. Neither, especially Alyssa, is particularly good at relationships, so they'll have to work doubly hard at this one. She's experienced in the lifestyle, though, so at least Alex won't have to train her, right?
This one is better than Secured Heart I thought, and has the same sexy kind of chemistry it has. I liked both Alyssa and Alex, and their story is fast paced and interesting, if a little too long.
Liberated Heart: 3 stars.
Can Erin break out of her old habits and be the exciting, un-vanilla person she's trying to be now? Her Dom Bradley thinks so, and he's determined to protect her and make her see herself the way he sees her.
I mostly liked this one except for near the end when Erin made a decision about their relationship without giving Bradley the chance to have his say, without communicating with him in any way. Miscommunication I know is the cornerstone of most romances, but it really irritated me here because it was just so ridiculous. Aside from that, though, I liked Liberated Heart. It's steamy and fast-paced.
Daddy's Heart: 3.5 stars.
Samantha really, really longs for a Daddy Dom. Can her new roommate be her Daddy?
First, a qualification - the Daddy kink squicks me out, so I'm not the most impartial reviewer of stories with this particular theme. That being said, I was able to enjoy this one somewhat because the story is sexy and fast paced. I don't think it's my favorite BDSM themed romance, but it's well written and enjoyable.

This is a wonderful set of five novels, each focusing one specific couple & each book detailing that couple's deliciously different & highly erotic story of their journey to potential happliness & possible love in these excellent stories:

Royce is an experienced Dominant, is calm, controlled, focused, knows what he wants, how he wants it & more importantly, how to get it. And the 1st time he meets Jessica, Royce wants HER.
Jessica is vanilla, is confident in her professional life but burned by her romantic history, she knows she doesn't want to risk her heart & emotions again but Royce is sexy, attractive & thrillingly dominant in a way that calls to, & surprises, her.
Royce is intent on being with Jessica as her Dominant while Jessica doesn't even know what that entails. And eventually (after a lot of internet research) Jessica negotiates an 'agreement' with Royce, in a way & method he's never before encountered. And their D/s 'arrangement' begins. Royce is patient, gentle but firm, stern when needed, provides a guiding hand as well as a punishing one for his newbie sub.
But Jessica made it clear: love was not to be involved . . . .
I loved this one. Royce appealed to me in so many ways: quiet, calm, controlled, gentle, supportive, loving, but always stretching Jessica's abilities both intimately & in her professional capacity. And Jessica, intelligent, determined, but needing just a little help to become what she truly desires, even if she doesn't know it's what she wants AND needs. As well as healing for her bruised heart.
Again, I found this to be a beautifully written story that brings the reader into Royce & Jessica's journey, causes us to care about these 2 people & makes us root for them to reach a HEA together. The steam is wonderful & adds intensity as well as delicious heat to this one.
'Hidden Heart' made me concerned for Royce & Jessica's potential future, made me bite my lip during their erotic scenes, but most importantly warmed my heart & made me smile. An excellent book I loved.

This is Kendrick & Kelly's story in the The Windy City series.
As always, Ms Stone delivers sizzling heat, tension, danger & delicious conflict in this book. She is masterful in her ability to expose the personalities, insecurities, fallibilities of her characters, as well as their loyalty, courage & ability to love. All of which, along with her writing skill provides the reader with a deep sense of who these characters are, what motivates them, scares them & most definitely what excites them.
Kendrick is an ex-police officer & now owns his own Security firm. He's huge, muscular, toned. He wears his dominance effortlessly as it IS his nature to be so. He's serious but can be humorous, cautious & protective, but overridingly, he is calm, measured, deliberate.
And Kelly. Ah Kelly, IMO Kelly is an annoying hot mess. I *personally* did not care for her. At all. She is exactly the type of person that I steer away from if possible. Almost everything she thought, said or did set my teeth on edge &/or irritated me beyond measure. She put me in mind of a squirrel dashing madly from place to place searching for its hidden treasure & due to its crazed, impulsive, impatient pinball methods, finding nothing. Add on top of that her blatant disregard for any type of potential danger relative to her actions &/or decisions . . . .
BUT, that is a personal quibble of MINE. I know there are plenty of readers for whom this type of snarky, sassy, snippy, impulsive, etc heroine will resonate. And that is why I gave a 5 vs 4 star rating: the character WAS so well written I actively disliked her.
But I loved Kendrick.
But other than my personal issue, everything about this book is stellar: the plot with just enough tension to intrigue the reader, characters that the reader becomes invested in, excellent writing that places the reader in the room, in the action, in the emotions of the story. The reader does have a sense of 'knowing' this group of friends, of their surroundings, haunts, their headspace. And Ms. Stone is able to create sizzling scenes that seem to crackle with heat, steam & intensity with raw, no holds barred carnal interludes.
So, grab a fan, a cold drink, hide from family & co-workers & enjoy this plunge into unbridled lust, tension & romance.

This is story of the 4th of 4 friends in the 'Windy City' series: Alex & his woman/sub, Alyssa.
This is a solid addition to the series, Alex has hovered in the background in the previous 3 books, a good friend, pleasant, supportive & a Dominant. And now, with Alyssa, it's his turn to attempt to find his 'one'.
As always, Ms Stone provides steam, angst, a plot that intrigues & well written characters readers care about, are invested in & root for a HEA for the couple.
Maybe a #5 'Windy City'?

Ah, this story is so flipping INTENSE, & in the best way!
I loooved this story about Bradley & Erin: Bradley an long experienced, demanding, strict, hard Dom who enjoys imparting rough & erotic pain to his submissives. He's implacable when it comes to his expectations, desires & giving intense punishments for submissives who deliberately ignore or disobey the rules he's set. Erin is quiet, thoughtful, kind & totally vanilla.
Cast adrift after her long time partner abandons her for a younger more nubile woman, Erin is determined to chart her own path & open her erotic horizons. And as luck would have it, she accidently comes into Bradley's control.
Bradley finds himself unaccountably desiring the vanilla Erin in a way he hasn't been tempted before. And before he knows it, he's advised Erin he'll be the one assisting her with her erotic search. But he warns her he's hard, demanding, rough & implacable. And Erin is surprised to find herself extremely intrigued & excited by the huge muscular man's intensity & dominance.

This is the 5th entry in the Windy City series by this author, detailing the potential forming of a DD/lg relationship between Ryder & Samantha. They are not members of the original group in the first 4 books, although Kendrick & Kelly do make a brief appearance.
This one just missed for me, mostly because of Samantha (Sammy) & her bratting & determination to keep HUGE secrets from Ryder. And, to be clear, this is MY PERSONAL ISSUE, nothing to do with the author's writing ability (which IMO is very good), bratting just irritates me & makes me grit my teeth. However, there are many readers for whom this is fine & if so, they (again IMO) will love this book.
Ryder is gentle overall unless stern & strict is required, good looking, muscular & so wanting Samantha as his 'Little'. But there are misunderstandings, secrets & foes to overcome before either Ryder or Samantha will be able to address the path or state of any potential relationship.
The writing was very good with a fair amount of spankings, sizzle, romance between 2 genuinely nice people. Even with Samantha's bratting I kept hoping for them to reach a HEA together.

And, to be clear, this is MY PERSONAL ISSUE, nothing to do with the author's writing ability (which IMO is very good), bratting just irritates me & makes me grit my teeth. However, there are many readers for whom this is fine & if so, they (again IMO) will love this book.
Ryder is gentle overall unless stern & strict is required, good looking, muscular & so wanting Samantha as his 'Little'. But there are misunderstandings, secrets & foes to overcome before either Ryder or Samantha will be able to address the path or state of any potential relationship.
The writing was very good with a fair amount of spankings, sizzle, romance between 2 genuinely nice people. Even with Samantha's bratting I kept hoping for them to reach a HEA together.

Falling for the Windy City
Oh my goodness! This author has made it so easy for us to fall in love in the Windy City, she put all 5 books in the series into this one perfect collection. And you are going to want to miss it.

Usually it is the guy who is the commitment phobe, but in this book Royce is all in from the first kiss. Jessica needs a little more convincing with her jaded history. Thankfully the author made Royce a character who won't stop until he reaches his goal an no is not in his vocabulary. I love that he works until he gets his HEA. This author continues to impress me with her alpha males and the ladies that they love. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Another perfect story from the queen of dominance and alpha males. I really enjoyed this book, I liked the way the characters were so real and connected with their friends and each other. I wasn’t sure I was going to be on Kelly’s side, for an intelligent woman she seemed a bit (okay a lot) impulsive, but as we slowly learned her story it made so much more sense. I loved Kendrick from the beginning. The author wrote him as this strong alpha male who took the pains of the injured onto himself. Luckily the author was sure to give them such excellent friends to guide them to their HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series because I absolutely loved this one.

I guess after you raise your mother keeping control becomes second nature and a way to survive. Well until the only thing worth surviving for is insisting on you relinquishing the reins. This book is a wonderful addition to the Windy City series. The author made this book so very realistic and I felt like I could just walk into the club and join them. I loved how the characters moved together to create this awesome story and how the author was able to infuse such emotion into the book. I especially enjoyed the way the characters pushed through the bumps in the road and found their HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Poor Erin, her life as she knows it ends, but in that ending she finds a beautiful beginning. I know it all sounds too simplistic, never fear the author did not leave us wanting. Blackmail and the past shake up this story before it becomes too sweet. And her demanding, sadistic dominant has his focus completely on her as they navigate the troubled waters. Bradley might not have thought he was looking for a HEA, but the author saw fit to help him find one anyway. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to see what happens next.

This little doesn’t mind letting her snark fly and Ryder has just the discipline to keep her in line. They might just be each other’s perfect HEA, well if the past doesn’t ruin it. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait until the author gives us her next book.

This is the story of Jessica and Royce. Jessica is a closed off person when it comes to me. She sure doesn't believe in love either. All she needs are her close group of friends and their Friday night dinners. However one of her friends just so happens to bring Royce, who has just moved to town for his job, along Jessica's life is about to be turned upside down. This may be a short book but man do these two have some amazing chemistry. This is a short but hot read and I really really enjoyed it.

He even convinces her to put herself on the auction block for charity. However he doesn't know that he will ever be able to just be with one submissive but he knows the strength it takes to be one and sees that in Erin. She is about to discover things that she doesn't know about herself. However things are not all that they seem in the club and here is the hug mystery and twists. I loved this book so much. I loved watching Erin come into her own and Bradley....swoon.....he is just amazing.

What a great series this was. I said each book was my favourite and now I have decided I love them all equally and although it is helpful to have read the previous books and follow the characters it isn’t vital and each can be read as a stand-alone and enjoyed for the individual story.
Hidden Heart
What a great story, it was so sexy and full of love and caring. The first scene in Royce’s apartment is one of the most sensuous I have read in a long time. Jessica had always done what was safe and necessary, not what she loved and wanted. Royce saw beyond the outer wall and enabled her to be who she wanted and needed to be to live a fulfilling life. A true love story full of caring even if there was a bump along the way.

Much as I liked Royce and Jessica, I think Kendrick has stolen my heart. I felt sorry for Alex, but Kendrick was the epitome of a Dom. He was sexy, firm caring and loving and even though Kelly drove him to distraction at times he never gave up on her. This is one hot, fun read and although I had tears in my eyes at one point it has a lovely ending.

I had felt sorry when Kendra and Kendrick got together but not any more, I am so glad Ms. Stone wrote Alex’s book straight after Secured Heart. Alyssa is just what Alex needs, someone to nurture just as his Dad has done (appropriately) since she was a little girl even though Alex didn’t know she existed.

I enjoyed this book, but I can’t say it was my favourite of the Windy City series - some of the timelines seem inconsistent. What I really liked was the dynamic among the group of friends and how they looked out for each other, dominants and submissive. The polar opposite characters of Bradley and Erin were intriguing and each was able to provide what the other needed and strengthen the other person to make a dynamic couple.

This was a lovely story, full of hot sex and sweet emotions. It is a little different to the other Windy City stories as the characters , with the exception of brief appearances of Kendrick and Kendra the Top Floor characters do not appear and the club is different too, but it is no less enjoyable and perhaps George and Paul will have books too. Ryder and Samantha are so well matched and are such great characters they leave the reader feeling good and feeling aahhh!

After witnessing an affectionate couple where the woman calls her liver Sir, Jessica seems to want to know more about this power exchange that Royce claims that couple has. Slowly after agreeing to try it out, Royce shows Jessica what playing at bdsm is like. I liked
his clothespin game that he started her off with, it seemed like fun. Royce needs to tear down Jessica's walls, she's protecting herself from feelings and just wants a casual affair. Of course there are obstacles that get in the way but Royce seems to be a level headed person and wants more from Jessica, so he works at teaching her abd winning her trust. In the end, we do get a HEA that was well deserved.

Life doesn't always provide what we want when or how we want it, but Kelly is an impulsive person and finds herself in some bad situations. Lucky for Kelly, when she needs her knight in shining armor, Kendrick is there to save her. Kendrick finds that Kelly is looking to experience being owned by a dominant and has a
natural submissive attitude. There are a few incidents that actually risk Kelly's safety, but Kendrick does his best to show Kelly the PE and bdsm lifestyle in a safe environment. Being the security for a
BDSM club and other similar sites, Kendrick is the perfect person to show Kelly how it can be, but Kelly is a bit too impulsive and risks her safety by not really realizing the dangers of her behavior. There are a few great scenes where Kelly is being introduced to a D/S relationship and the sex and discipline are hot. There are also a few very questionable people that could prove to be the death of Kelly, should she fly free with her own ideas about how live her life without restrictions.

Alyssa has come to the windy city to start a new independent life now that her mom is dead and she can finally live the life she chooses. Alex has been asked by his dad to take Alyssa out and introduce her to his friends and help her along in her new life in the city. The friends that meet up every Friday get to meet and like Alyssa and Alex does try to help her along even though he's a very busy man with living two lives and working at two jobs. One of Alex's jobs is at the BDSM club Top Floor which he is a part owner of but he keeps that part of his life a secret. There is also a connection between Alex's dad and Alyssa which seems to be another little secret that could come between them. Alyssa's new job is at Alex's club which can be another complication. There are a lot of problems and secrets that can and do cause more complications between the two, but the journey they must go through to have a relationship that works makes it all worthwhile. I enjoyed this third book in the Windy City series and definitely looking forward to more in the near future.

The fourth of the Windy City stories is another hit! I enjoyed Erin as the innocent that wants to learn about BDSM after her fiance cheats on her and she dumps him. At Top Floor, her friend Alex isn't available to talk with but Bradley is and he is interested in introducing Erin to the Lifestyle. Bradley is one of the harshest, strictest doms and with Erin being a newbie, her friends are concerned with her interest with Bradley. Erin enters the submissive auction and Bradley buys her and it's hot and heavy after that. There are a lot of interesting lessons to learn and they are all sexy and erotic and hot as can be. I enjoyed the story and the connection this couple has, even though they face criticism from friends and some danger and intrigue from someone that doesn't want them together. Another enjoyable page turner in the Windy City series! Looking forward to at least one more.

For this story, we have Sammy, aka Samantha and Ryder who was asked to do a favor for George of Gallant Domination. Sam is coming to get away from a past bf who is in jail. Sam is trying to get a job as a librarian and just needs a place to stay until she gets a job and apartment of her own. Ryder is a daddy dom but hasn't had a little to care for, for a long time. Sammy is a little but hasn't had success finding a daddy to care for her yet. I enjoyed this story where Ryder wants a little and Sammy needs a daddy to care for her and of course they are thrown together. There is the whole messed up time where someone is after Sam, and it might not just be the ex BF!

There are a few great scenes where Kelly is being introduced to a D/S relationship and the sex and discipline are hot. There are also a few very questionable people that could prove to be the death of Kelly, should she fly free with her own ideas about how live her life without restrictions.

Another great addition to the Windy City series, a stand alone romance with added BDSM to the mix.
Alyssa has come to the windy city to start a new independent life now that her mom is dead and she can finally live the life she chooses. Alex has been asked by his dad to take Alyssa out and introduce her to his friends and help her along in her new life in the city. The friends that meet up every Friday get to meet and like Alyssa and Alex does try to help her along even though he's a very busy man with living two lives and working at two jobs. One of Alex's jobs is at the BDSM club Top Floor which he is a part owner of but he keeps that part of his life a secret. There is also a connection between Alex's dad and Alyssa which seems to be another little secret that could come between them. Alyssa's new job is at Alex's club which can be another complication. There are a lot of problems and secrets that can and do cause more complications between the two, but the journey they must go through to have a relationship that works makes it all worthwhile. I enjoyed this third book in the Windy City series and definitely looking forward to more in the near future.
Liberated Heart
The fourth of the Windy City stories is another hit! I enjoyed Erin as the innocent that wants to learn about BDSM after her fiance cheats on her and she dumps him. At Top Floor, her friend Alex isn't available to talk with but Bradley is and he is interested in introducing Erin to the Lifestyle. Bradley is one of the harshest, strictest doms and with Erin being a newbie, her friends are concerned with her interest with Bradley. Erin enters the submissive auction and Bradley buys her and it's hot and heavy after that. There are a lot of interesting lessons to learn and they are all sexy and erotic and hot as can be. I enjoyed the story and the connection this couple has, even though they face criticism from friends and some danger and intrigue from someone that doesn't want them together. Another enjoyable page turner in the Windy City series! Looking forward to at least one more.
Daddy's Heart
For this story, we have Sammy, aka Samantha and Ryder who was asked to do a favor for George of Gallant Domination. Sam is coming to get away from a past bf who is in jail. George asked Ryder to let Sammy stay in his spare bedroom because George's Mom was staying with him. Sam is trying to get a job as a librarian and just needs a place to stay until she gets a job and apartment of her own. Ryder is a daddy dom but hasn't had a little to care for, for a long time. Sammy is a little but hasn't had success finding a daddy to care for her yet. I enjoyed this story where Ryder wants a little and Sammy needs a daddy to care for her and of course they are thrown together. There is the whole messed up time where someone is after Sam, and it might not just be the ex BF!
This Windy City series has been great, every story is unique, each book gets a HEA, and all have a smattering of hot, sexy kink.

I like Jessica. I totally get her stance on not wanting love and why she made that choice. I also get the whole not wanting to feel vulnerable thing. No one likes that.
I mostly like Royce. There were a couple of times when I thought he really screwed up. But other than that, I liked him.

Kendrick is a Domly type. One day, doing security on a party he really should'nt've been, he saw a scumbag doing bad things. So, he punched the scumbag and saved the damsel.
I really like how well Kelly and Kendrick fit together. They meet needs in each other that weren't being met in any other way, especially for Kelly. I really did feel sorry for her, since she had been stuck in an unhappy place for so long.
I have to say that I didn't necessarily like her friends all that much sometimes. I think that there were times that they were really overbearing.

The problem is that he also wants to keep things secret from them, like the fact that not only is he kinky, he also owns a kink club. He just wants to keep his life secret. But as much as I like him, and I do, I think he's also a bit of a hypocrite sometimes. I mean, it's one of those do as I say, not as I do situations.
Alyssa is really likable too. She has her own issues, and she doesn't really want to share her issues. I understand where she's coming from and why she is careful about her heart and her feelings, but I think that she could've relaxed a little bit with him.
Overall, I really liked this book, and I totally need to know what's going on with Erin.

Then she finds out that Jonathon has been sleeping with another woman for 6 months and he's breaking up with her. Then, she finds out exactly what her fiance thought of her, and she found out about her friend Alex's BDSM club, and so she goes to find it. That's when she finds Bradley.
I like Bradley. He doesn't coddle Erin. He doesn't treat her with kid gloves. He sees who she really is and what she really wants. I think that he might even see her better than she sees herself. He pushers her, but no further than what she can take, and she can take an awful lot, apparently. He supports her and helps her to be more confident.
Erin is... annoying sometimes. I don't think that she crosses TSTL, but there were times when she made some not entirely smart choices. I think there were a lot of reasons behind why she made those choices, and she made them almost automatically without putting a lot of thought into why she made them.

I'm a HUGE fan of Box Sets since waiting for the next book isn't always my strong suit. Make no mistake though, it's a 5 Book series with all being stand alone stories.
1. Hidden Heart: Hidden Heart is a short(ish) story that packs a punch, just needed a tad more to be perfect for me. It's the story of Royce & Jessica. He's a hero who gets what he wants, and she's a heroine who has closed herself off from love. That's not to say that she doesn't want to fall in lust, but she doesn't believe in love. When she comes face to face with Royce, it's like lightening struck for both of them. I mean the chemistry felt like it was crackling off of my kindle, it was that lethal. So, Jessica is down to tango with Royce, but that's it. However, Royce has seen something new which he is determined to make his in Jessica, so you already know that push & pull is gonna be rough. I love some good push & pull, but without knowing Jessica's history, it just got very frustrating for me. Plus, you add in an ending which seems rushed, well, I need more to make it perfect! Anyway, hopefully there's more to come with them, though I'm not quite sure about that, even though this is the first book in a new series. So, that's all from me, but decide for yourselves by one clicking a story which you can finish up in an afternoon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Alyssa has some past demons, feels she's a sub, yet, is very independent. She's complicated all on her own obviously. So, will they or won't they?!
4. Liberated Heart: I fell in love with Bradley & Erin from the jump. She's just been rudely dumped by a man she intended to spend the rest of her life with, so emotions are running high. She meets Bradley when she's talking to her friend, Alex, about that something missing in her life, and is it the best or worst thing?! Bradley isn't gentle in his actions (but not in that douchebag way), so fear starts making big appearances with Erin.
5. Daddy's Heart: Ryder & Samantha are the couple that were very complicated for me to review. It's not that they were bad, because they weren't, but I don't understand the daddy factor whatsoever. And that's okay since I don't have to since different strokes for different folks. Samantha's snark was the best thing for me, as I totally identify with it, since I'm 75% caffeine & 25% (probably more snark honestly) in my life. I was entertained by their interactions though, and even their chemistry was HOT, yet, any daddy play is like a bucket of cold water dumped on me, and remember this is only my opinion.
All in all, I really enjoyed this super sexy series of stand alone stories, but all are intertwined. I would totally read it again, because I find when I love stories, I get to turning pages too quickly, and I can miss stuff. Anyway, to find out how they all panned out, hit your one click button, and pencil in some time because you won't want to stop. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I’m a lover of boxset series because you get all the goodness in one place! And let me just say, this series has all kinds of hot goodness! I highly recommend this series, you need it in your life!

The story of Royce and Jessica entranced me so much that I couldn’t put it down! Jessica is a strong woman who believes relationships are a farce and doesn’t believe in love. Along comes Royce, and she starts to rethink everything she believes in. Royce knows Jessica is the one, but how can he convince her? He shows her a world where she can be her true self and to just let go. But can she ever truly let go after all the heartache she has endured in her past? I love these characters so much. They just embed themselves into your very heart and soul. And not to mention the sizzling chemistry!

This is about Kelly, a curious woman who knows what she wants, but isn't sure how to go about it. She can be too impulsive, but her character is heartwarming, and you can't help but relate to her. When she meets Kendrick one night, she thinks that maybe he could be the one, but in her mind, she feels she will never find that right person. Kendrick is completely enamored with her the first time they meet and hopes that maybe they can have some kind of a relationship. When he offers to "show her the way", she readily accepts, and they then embark on their journey. I loved the interactions between these two characters. They are absolutely perfect for each other, but sometimes things get in the way and it doesn't always work out.

Alyssa has had a very rough life and feels she never wants to owe anyone for anything, but she is also Submissive and hopes one day to find a Dominant who can understand that she needs her independence as well. Can Alex show her that she can have both in her life? I was just so into these characters that I believe they will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ve loved Alex’s character from the first two books, and this story just proves why.

This is about Kelly, a curious woman who knows what she wants, but isn't sure how to go about it. She can be too impulsive, but her character is heartwarming, and you can't help but relate to her. When she meets Kendrick one night, she thinks that maybe he could be the one, but in her mind, she feels she will never find that right person. Kendrick is completely enamored with her the first time they meet and hopes that maybe they can have some kind of a relationship. When he offers to "show her the way", she readily accepts, and they then embark on their journey. I loved the interactions between these two characters. They are absolutely perfect for each other, but sometimes things get in the way and it doesn't always work out.

I am so in love with this series! Each book just gets better and better! This time it’s about Alex, a Dominant who is also a Club owner and is always deemed as the single best friend among all his friends. He would like more out of life, but he is crazy busy with work. When Alex meets Alyssa, a young woman who his Father knows from the past, he is instantly smitten. But when he finds she is working at his Club, he knows she needs to be hands off, but can he do that? Their chemistry is chart topping and he isn’t sure if he can hold himself back. Alyssa has had a very rough life and feels she never wants to owe anyone for anything, but she is also Submissive and hopes one day to find a Dominant who can understand that she needs her independence as well. Can Alex show her that she can have both in her life? I was just so into these characters that I believe they will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ve loved Alex’s character from the first two books, and this story just proves why.

As I read each story, I think to myself can they get better?? Well, this story proves that it is so. Bradley and Erin will imbed themselves into your very heart and soul and make you wish they were real. Erin was recently dumped by her fiancé and while upset, she feels there is something missing in her life. When she goes to meet her friend Alex to talk about it, this is where she meets Bradley. And he turns her world upside down! Bradley isn’t a gentle Dom, and Erin discovers that maybe he is what she needs in her life. But she has her doubts and fears and wonders why he would be with her. Bradley sees something in Erin that pulls at him and wants to explore those feelings. But when someone tries to interfere, can they ignore them and continue to see where their relationship can go??

I found Samantha endearing as I found her snarky side to be funny. She loves to test the waters with Ryder. And Ryder is definitely a Daddy Dom, all kinds of hot and alpha. But can these two people make it work? Will someone from Sam’s past put a stop to this new budding relationship? I hoped so because these two just mesh together perfectly. But sometimes things happen and don’t always work out the way you want them to. Or do they?

Hidden Heart (Windy City Book 1)
Great read! Jessica has a painful past when it comes to men and relationships so although she believes in happy ever after for other people she doesn’t see it for herself. Instead she is content with her group of friends and any relationships she has with men are casual.
Royce has recently moved to town and they are part of the same group of friends. From their first meeting he knows that they are meant to be together and now he only needs to convince her that she wants both him and his lifestyle.
The chemistry between them was hot and Royce was understanding as he allowed Jessica to adapt to what they both needed from each other.
I can highly recommend this!
Secured Heart (Windy City Book 2)
I loved it. This was another great story in this series. I really enjoyed this book and I liked the way the characters were so real and connected with their friends and each other. The chemistry between the two characters was amazing. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series because I absolutely loved this one.

I really liked this book. This book is a wonderful addition to the Windy City series. It takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride with the unveiling of the life of Alyssa Sanders. My heart breaks for her as a little girl, what she endures with her sorry excuse for a mother, never knowing her father, and just existing and trying to get by. The author made this book so very realistic and I felt like I could just walk into the club and join them. I loved how the characters moved together to create this awesome story and how the author was able to infuse such emotion into the book. I especially enjoyed the way the characters pushed through the bumps in the road and found their HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I think this may have been my favourite in the series. It was soooo hot. Though the others were hot too but this one was upped to another level. The Dom was somewhat sadistic and the submissive just begging to jump into the deep end. I loved it and can highly recommend it!

This was a fantastic read and a great conclusion to the Windy City Series by Measha Stone! The connection between Ryder and Samantha was amazing and tangible. Their relationship is a roller coaster and having their ups and downs, but you just want to go on to see how it ends.

An excellent collection of captivating tales. Hidden Heart - A great start to a new series as Royce and Jessica explore a new relationship with kinks and lots of hot chemistry. They attempt to unwind from past hurts to a full relationship. I think this tale is well written and very entertaining as it captures your attention from the beginning and keeps you reading until you are finished. I highly recommend it as a great story that is well worth getting to read. This is my honest opinion Secured Heart - I really enjoyed reading this fascinating and entertaining tale that shows the various interactions between Kelly and Kendrick as they explore their sexual adventures together. A well written addition to the Windy City series that is well worth reading. This is my honest opinion. Windy City: The Complete Series is a collection of five books of best friends finding love. While each book stands alone, the characters are all connected to each other and will show up in multiple books. There's different tropes, but each of them involve some sort of power exchange, a lot of passion, amazing characters, a bit of drama, and a fight for love! I love these Doms, I love these sassy and smart submissives, and I just love this world that Ms. Stone has created. I absolutely loved each of the books in this series, and so highly recommend reading this series!
Hidden Heart - Jessica doesn’t believe in true love, but can’t deny what Royce makes her feel. As their relationship develops, will Jessica allow her heart to fully open up to Royce and a possible future with him? Oh my goodness, I just devoured this book! Jessica and Royce completely stole my heart in the process of claiming each other’s. Jessica has been hurt so much in her past and hides all of her emotions behind her internal walls, but I loved her curiosity, her willingness to try, and her vulnerabilities. Royce is amazing and may be my newest book boyfriend, as I absolutely loved that he could see Jessica so clearly and refused to let her hide. He slowly chipped at all of her walls while balancing giving her the space she needed, and I just loved him. Together, their passion reigned supreme, but I loved their softer times, too, and all the drama that they needed to work through. I was completely fascinated by this romance, the power dynamics, the background stories of both characters, and I just absolutely loved reading this book!
Secured Heart - Kelly has dreams of finding her happily ever after, but when Kendrick shows her the joys of submission, is it possible for Kelly to have it all? I really loved reading Kelly and Kendrick’s romance, their trials and triumphs, and I really enjoyed the villain and drama with him. Kelly knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, even at risk to her own safety. Her impulsiveness and lack of thinking things all the way through definitely get her in trouble, but luckily she has an amazing security base of friends and in Kendrick. Man, oh man, Kendrick is all alpha male! I loved that Kendrick didn’t just want a submissive in the bedroom, that he wanted so much more with Kelly and was able to push her boundaries without crossing them. They fit each other so well, I loved how they responded to each other, and I loved how Ms. Stone described their dynamic. The drama in this book was really well done, too, and drew me into the storyline as much as the romance!

I was actually surprised that he wasn’t more stern with Alyssa, but I loved that he gave her the independence she needed. Alyssa had me worried, sometimes, because she always seemed to push him away, had so many elusive layers and a huge wall to crumble before she let Alex get close. I thought she was a little manipulative at times, but it was in attempts to protect her heart. Their interactions had chemistry crackling between the pages and their scenes were a steamy delight!

This book is so good, so intense, full of amazing emotions and wicked scenes that will leave you needing something cool! Bradley and Erin blew me away! Erin has a need to serve, has a darker side she gets to explore, and I love that she is okay being pushed but will stand up for herself when needed. She’s stubborn and doesn’t always think about her actions from other people’s points of view. Bradley definitely helps with that, helps push her boundaries in and out of the bedroom, and I absolutely loved that while he also had some darker needs, he was constantly checking on Erin to make sure she was okay. I loved their dynamic, I loved their connection, I loved the danger, I even loved their miscommunications. This book has some pretty intense scenes, but it was with a couple that was so much stronger than I expected!

I really loved having a Daddy from Ms. Stone, and Ryder was the perfect blend between being stern, dominant, and full of rules with being protective, caring, and even indulgent at times! Samantha had a Little side that she tried to keep hidden, but I loved seeing the brat, the sass, and the sweetness pour out of her! She was trying so hard to be strong and independent, and I liked her strength, but I also enjoyed her vulnerable and soft side, too. I liked the pace of this book, how it focused mostly on the couple, but there was still some serious drama that happens that left me on the edge of my seat!

Jessica and Royce completely stole my heart in the process of claiming each other’s. Jessica has been hurt so much in her past and hides all of her emotions behind her internal walls, but I loved her curiosity, her willingness to try, and her vulnerabilities. Royce is amazing and may be my newest book boyfriend, as I absolutely loved that he could see Jessica so clearly and refused to let her hide. He slowly chipped at all of her walls while balancing giving her the space she needed, and I just loved him. Together, their passion reigned supreme, but I loved their softer times, too, and all the drama that they needed to work through. I was completely fascinated by this romance, the power dynamics, the background stories of both characters, and I just absolutely loved reading this book!
Secured Heart - Kelly has dreams of finding her happily ever after, but when Kendrick shows her the joys of submission, is it possible for Kelly to have it all? I really loved reading Kelly and Kendrick’s romance, their trials and triumphs, and I really enjoyed the villain and drama with him. Kelly knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, even at risk to her own safety. Her impulsiveness and lack of thinking things all the way through definitely get her in trouble, but luckily she has an amazing security base of friends and in Kendrick. Man, oh man, Kendrick is all alpha male! I loved that Kendrick didn’t just want a submissive in the bedroom, that he wanted so much more with Kelly and was able to push her boundaries without crossing them. They fit each other so well, I loved how they responded to each other, and I loved how Ms. Stone described their dynamic. The drama in this book was really well done, too, and drew me into the storyline as much as the romance!
Indebted Heart - Alyssa is new to the city and determined to make her own way, but she was not expecting Alex. Their connection sends sparks, but will she be able to give in to her submissive side enough to please Alex? Oh my, this book was just so good, from beginning to end, and I absolutely loved it! Alex and Alyssa stole my attention and I couldn’t stop thinking about their romance, even after I finished that last page! Alex was amazing, so kind and concerned, definitely a natural protector. I was actually surprised that he wasn’t more stern with Alyssa, but I loved that he gave her the independence she needed. Alyssa had me worried, sometimes, because she always seemed to push him away, had so many elusive layers and a huge wall to crumble before she let Alex get close. I thought she was a little manipulative at times, but it was in attempts to protect her heart. Their interactions had chemistry crackling between the pages and their scenes were a steamy delight!
Liberated Heart - Erin’s life feels like it’s imploding when her fiancé breaks up with her. She takes the leap and meets Bradley, a stern Dom who pushes all of her buttons in the right way. This book is so good, so intense, full of amazing emotions and wicked scenes that will leave you needing something cool! Bradley and Erin blew me away! Erin has a need to serve, has a darker side she gets to explore, and I love that she is okay being pushed but will stand up for herself when needed. She’s stubborn and doesn’t always think about her actions from other people’s points of view. Bradley definitely helps with that, helps push her boundaries in and out of the bedroom, and I absolutely loved that while he also had some darker needs, he was constantly checking on Erin to make sure she was okay. I loved their dynamic, I loved their connection, I loved the danger, I even loved their miscommunications. This book has some pretty intense scenes, but it was with a couple that was so much stronger than I expected!

Windy City box set by Measha Stone
The entire series is steamy, full of love, friendship, family, acceptance and quality writing. Great character growth with a slice denial, fear of relationships, fear of losing friends, and devious behavior. Strong females with equally strong persuasive males that are undeniably sexy and at times ruthless. What I enjoyed most is that these are feel good books with a side of kink that are beyond steamy and perfect for a Sunday read. Always an enjoyable escape.

I love box sets and I love them even more when the stories are so compelling that it's hard to put it down because you have to continue. That's how I felt here. I had not read a Measha Stone story before and boy was I missing out! I was hooked. It starts with Jessica's story and it spirals from there because I could not get out of this world. Each story is different but so good in its own way. There's undeniable passion and danger and suspense and mystery!

If you've read anything by Measha Stone you know to expect plenty of heat and that is certainly true of this series. This boxed set contains the complete Windy City series. And in my opinion each story just kept on getting better. All the stories are connected so being able to read them one right after another is absolutely perfect! Don't expect to get anything done until you've finished reading the whole series....

The grammar is atrocious
While the stories were entertaining and hot, the author doesn't know how to handle to lie and to lay. She got it wrong every time except once. Her editor totally failed her. I might recommend this book to an adult with less than a high school education. They might not be bothered by the continuous errors.

Hidden Heart
I loved Royce from the start except for one fact. He hide a secret from Jessica that would come back to hurt his relationship he was building with Jessica. As for Jessica, I know she had been hurt numerous times in the past but her struggle to accept love from anyone was a bummer. She held herself from everyone, including her friends to a certain extent. When Royce starts worming his way into her life, she pushes back but eventually accepts a relationship , with conditions, with him. It was one of those books where I didn't want to put it down because I knew something was going to happen. When the secret Royce has been keeping from her shows up, she runs!! Will this tear them apart for good or will they be able to reconnect? Even though Jessica bugged me, this is still a story that I loved. Just get the book and read it for yourself. It's one I will eventually be adding to my bookshelves in print!

She's looking for the man of her dreams. He isn't looking for anyone special. When Kendrick ends up helping Kelly from what could have been a dangerous situation, the attraction starts. He's intrigued and so was she. this was a wonderful story and I fell in love with the characters. Kelly tended to behave a bit childish at times but that didn't stop me for liking her. This second book in Measha Stone's Windy City series and I"m eagerly waiting for the next one. Do yourself a favor and pick this up when it comes out!

In the third book, it's Alex and Alyssa's turn. She's had a horrible childhood that left her doubting herself at every turn. The only bright spot in her young life was the man who almost hooked up with her mother but turned out to be someone who took care of her in the best way he could. Little did she know that he had a son who turns out to be Alex. And while in previous books, we see a care free Alex, in this book, we find out he has problems also. I'll be honest, there were times I wanted to reach through the book and slap each of them upside the head. She keeps secrets from him and he keeps things from her and they find out how damaging that can be. Will they be able to stay together? What happens when Alex says things that instantly hurt Alyssa? I think this has been my favorite so far and I can't wait to read the next book.

I think out of the four stories in this series, so far, this is my favorite. Erin has had her world turned upside down and decides to spice things up. She runs into Bradley, who is part owner in the club she has went too. Even though he is a very strict dominant, I felt he still had a tender side to him, especially with Erin. I loved how he helped her discover herself. The story was intense, emotional and had all the feels for me!! Loved it!!!

Out of the 5 Windy City books, this one has to be my favorite. I loved the characters so much. Ryder is a strict but fun Daddy Dom and Samantha is a little who tries to keep that side of her hidden. When she has to stay with Ryder, the snark in her comes out and at times she is a hot mess. Ryder doesn't want to get involved but the pull to her is impossible to resist. When danger from her past pays a visit, can Ryder protect her or will she keep trying to protect him? The banter between these two was so good and you can feel the emotions growing stronger as the story goes on. I would LOVE to see Samantha's brother get a story, just a short one because I felt so bad for him!! Great book!

Her friends call her an idiot for all the trouble she seems to get herself into and then along comes Kendrick who was a cop and now owns a security business and is also a Dom. This actually was the first book I have ever read by Measha Stone and I haven’t looked back since. This book introduces Jessica and her friends and it focuses on her relationship with Royce.
It is a well written book with an easy flow to it. Royce guides Jessica with her first steps into a relationship with D/s elements. It is. It is very light on the D/s scale and a great book for readers who want to dip their toes in romance with BDSM elements and a wonderful book overall.
Royce and Jessica are both very likeable character and there are a lot of things about Jessica that I identified with. It was wonderful to see how their relationship evolved.

What I love about Measha Stone’s writing is that her characters are so complex and developed. She puts a lot of detail and thought into the motives of the characters and their relationships. And her characters are likeable and not perfect which makes it easy to relate to.
Alyssa kinda broke my heart. She was a lot stronger and capable then she gave herself credit for. Loved how Alex took care of her and supported her in her dreams. I did wanted to smack Alex in the head for not telling everyone about the club. What was he thinking.

I felt this book was okay. For me the background story was just a bit over the top and I could have done without it and instead have the focus on the couple and their relationship. And for two people who are familiar in the lifestyle I did miss a conversation about safeword and limits.
I did like how Ryder encouraged Sam to go after her dreams and loved her intelligence. And his taking care of Sam, which was really needed, because she didn’t seem to have that may lifeskills.

I loved the characters, especially Jessica, who struggled so hard to have emotional independence but her craving for connection was greater. I loved that Royce really saw Jess, and was kind in his guidance. This is BDSM romance at its best.

While waiting for Mr. Right, Kelly wants to explore her own needs, and Kendrick is the guy that helps her after a decision goes wrong. Kelly's current wants and her future hopes don’t seem to mesh, but Kendrick is exactly the guy she needs. I love it when the H can be strong and also emotionally vulnerable, and make a few mistakes in judgement; this makes Kendrick seem more real. I enjoyed this couple, seeing Jessica & Royce (from the first book), and their expanding group of friends. A BDSM romance, this book also has some danger & action to ramp up the tension.

Alyssa has moved to Chicago; she is desperately in need of a fresh start. Alyssa is a self-contained woman, but this is due to a lack of care & consistency in her life. It was great to see her blossom with friends. Her slowly developing relationship with Alex was just what she needed to become who she truly is. Worlds collide all over the place in this story, and I had fun watching it unfurl.

Whoa! I did not see this coming! This book is about Erin, who wants to learn to unashamedly be who she is, and Bradley, the strictest of Doms. Erin is private & keeps to herself. She is perfect for someone, but the man who’s had her doesn’t recognise her gifts. I adore the way Erin behaves with Bradley, in all of her uncertainties, and how their quick chemistry together takes them both by surprise. I enjoyed this couple for their realness; the way they both make mistakes & aren’t immediately sure how to fix them. I was surprised at how fast the pages flew, a great addition to this set.

Jessica doesn't want love, doesn't want any type of attachment besides friendship. Talk about walls!!!! Out with her friends one night, she meets Royce. Oh Royce, you delicious man! The patience he has...Saint him immediately!
Jessica is one tough cookie, she is truly set in her ways. To watch the relationship between her and Royce...my heart ♡
I really enjoyed the changes these two characters made together. They were honest, believable, raw. Fantastic read!!!!

Oh Bradley, you delicious darkness! This man takes Erin, the "fragile" one, and shows her how she's always felt. He shows her things that light up her world!
The kink is hot as all get out!!!! The twist hit me out of nowhere and the friend drama was deep lol. Another fantastic book in this series and definitely my favorite!

Sam is in Chicago for a new start. She finds out she'll be staying with Ryder and oh what a stay it'll be! Ryder is helping his friend George out by having Sam stay with him. These two just click and fall into such a yummy rhythm. Thankfully the drama isn't overly hardcore, I don't think my heart could've handled it.
